I like the little fan mount, cool idea.  You could probably even get 2 of them on there and then cover the entire heat sink.  Do you have a laser thermometer?  Would be interesting to see what the temp difference is on the heat sink beneath the fan and on the sides.

OT- kitchen looks good, I went through a nightmare bathroom remodel in house that just sold, the job took forever and just mistake after mistake.

I got my power bill a while ago, I don't recall exactly when.  But I don't have any big miners going now, just some usb sticks and such for fun.  And a few are on "free power" so they earn dust which is nice.

But I'm not surprised at the down turn, I think we are going to see a lot of the non-efficient gear going offline now.

I just watched a weird message go by in cgminer, from my gekko stick that is pointed here.  It said something like the pool was notifying me of a new bestever share for user 3402838 or something like that.  Is that new, does the pool broadcast whenever a worker gets a new bestever share?

Well at block 740 right now and there's a big drop off in the network hash.  Is it from the halving?  Is it old gear making way for new?  I honestly expected to see much more variance in network power immediately following the halving, but perhaps this is just the calm before the storm...

Well if you think about it, every 10 S5s that shut off equal 1 S9 turning on, or every 20 S3s, or every 40 S1s... I also agree it will take a little time to see any repercussions from switching off old gear, if that blip is even noticeable today with the rate that gear speed and efficiency are increasing.

You'd make more going through the trash for aluminum cans.  You'd make much, much more pan handling at the end of a freeway off-ramp.  Perspective.
