261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-25.0-win64-setup.exe on: March 23, 2024, 08:25:19 PM
What Antivirus do you use? If it's a Windows Defender it might be a false-positive Windows Defender is not a good antivirus.
And if you downloaded this from Bitcoin.org that should be a falls positive.

It appears that you used a virus total to scan the file and the result after the scan is 1/70 it's only Zillya antivirus.

After I reanalyzed using the Virustotal and uploaded a new one with the same version the result was 0 out of 70 indicating that it is a false positive unless your PC is infected, you may be attempted to upload it to Virustotal and then the Bitcoin installer you uploaded is already infected due to your infected PC?

Here's my scan result in Virustotal

262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick way to learn bitcoin trading on: March 22, 2024, 10:36:15 PM
How about the Binance Academy? It should be the quickest source to learn about trading. Check the following link

I also want to suggest for technical analysis if you want to learn how to read candlesticks check this link "CandleStick APP" once you learn you can apply your strategy into a live trading app with paper money check this link "Stock Market Simulator Game".

263  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Recommended wallets on bitcoin.org on: March 22, 2024, 10:26:28 PM
Bitcoin.org is a legit site they have an open source code from this link below and the hardware wallets listed there are competitive units except for the ledger wallet.

There's an alternative check this link below for a list of open-source hardware wallets.

264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Solana on: March 22, 2024, 08:52:19 PM
That's pretty hard to decide which one is better they are both performing fine but I think Solana is I think much more active these days than Ethereum I think due to transaction fees according to them Solana transaction fees are cheaper than Ethereum and Solana is way faster than Ethereum.

However, they are both active I'm sure Ethereum will improve later. For me, If I want to invest I choose 50/50 to both of these coins.
265  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Buy passport or coldcard on: March 22, 2024, 08:12:54 PM
Someone already has a review about Coldcard here on the forum the only problem with Coldcard it's not open-source.
Passports wallet has open-source code it works just like Coldcard with advanced features and extra security, the design is way better than Coldcard and it looks like a phone.

So I think for me, a Passport hardware wallet is way better in terms of security and design.

You can check the comparison from this link below

266  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum personal server is out of date quite a bit. on: March 22, 2024, 07:29:43 PM
Yes, that's a bit old based on their GitHub activity why not switch to other Electrum server?
There are 3 alternative options that I know ElectrumX, Electrs, and Fulcrum servers.

If you are looking for guides check the links below

267  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1166 Hasboard power terminal connector detached. on: March 22, 2024, 07:05:15 PM
the leftover residue on the hashboard pad doesn't liquidify even at 500degree c.

I think that's too hot it might damage parts near the terminal.
Would you mind showing us what tool you use to melt the solder lead from the board?
If it's just a soldering iron it can't melt you need a hotair rework station with a soldering iron as support to melt the soldering lead from the board and connector. You also need to add soldering lead and flux to melt them easily.
268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am in dire need of assistance for my improvement on: March 21, 2024, 08:49:06 PM
Since this is a Bitcoin forum you need to learn more about Bitcoin so that if someone needs help related to Bitcoin you can help them and provide quality posts that should be the first thing you need to do like sample how to secure a wallet if you have knowledge about securing a wallet then you can provide a quality post and expect to receive some merits and you should always be active here on the forum.

I think the topic for merits is what you need to improve your self to become better here on the forum check the link below.

You just woke up from 6 years then you suddenly posted a link that we do not know if it's safe or not?

Or do you just post this for merits?

Edit: I know it's a telegram link and we already have a similar notifier about fees using telegram check the link below

270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spending extra to keep my assets out of trouble on: March 21, 2024, 06:44:56 PM
That's the best way to protect your hardware wallet from any attacks we do not know how safe to connect a hardware wallet to any sites like VV token what you did is a must.
If you are holding a large amount of assets it is always better to have an alternative wallet(Non-custodial) if ever the project like VV token is trying to hack/connect to request for a different transaction you can avoid losing all of your assets by using the alternative hot or non-custodial wallet.

For Bitcoin transactions in Electrum, you can also do an airgap way to make a transaction and sign the transaction to an offline device with your hardware wallet which is more secure than signing the transaction with your hardware wallet to an online device.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A weird interview on: March 21, 2024, 05:59:58 PM
It's not weird the interviewer is the weird one it's a common reaction to those who don't have much knowledge about Bitcoin and crypto.
If the interviewer is a Bitcoin enthusiast expect a different reaction.

For now, even though Bitcoin is popular there are still many people who do not know the history of Bitcoin the only thing they know it's a digital currency that can be traded for money or they call it alternative money.

272  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: AppArmor profile for Electrum? on: March 20, 2024, 11:08:10 PM
I saw an old Reddit post about Apparmor it is a security module to restrict programs or use for isolation but the Reddit that I found was posted 9 years ago.

Why not use Tails OS it seems that the AppArmor profile is enabled by default and Tails already has Electrum wallet but since it's using an old version you might need to upgrade it to the latest version.

Read this https://tails.net/contribute/design/application_isolation/
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: RSZ HELP on: March 20, 2024, 10:25:02 PM
What exactly are the RSZ values?
Why not tell us what wallet you are currently using?
Or are you talking about RSZ as a token?

I suggest adding more details about your issue would give us some insight because I don't get what is exactly the RSZ you talking about.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme Coin ( $GRIM Reaper ) on: March 20, 2024, 09:47:42 PM
I'm sure it won't become popular just like Pepe and Shib look at the difference, you already said that this is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.
You already discourage us from buying this token. It is better on NFT than making this a coin/token and there are lots of similar projects that turn out to be scams.
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TREZOR WALLET Question about possible security risk on: March 20, 2024, 09:33:47 PM
If the popup windows show up take note of the URL you should check the URL if it's trezor.io which is their website but if you see a different URL meaning it's not genuine.

According to Trezor once you flash your Trezor with unofficial firmware it wipes the data storage if you force it to flash with unofficial firmware I believe this means hackers won't be able to extract the seed phrase from the hardware wallet.

Better read Common security threats from Trezor to avoid them.
276  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Any custom OS for over/under-clocking Ebang ASICS? on: March 20, 2024, 09:10:48 PM
I tried to search but only the archive page with the list of firmware that I can found but the stock firmware is no longer available and I never heard of any custom firmware for any Ebang units I think it never exists even the stock firmware is no longer available.

You can try to contact Ebang support and request for firmware let's hope and maybe they are still active

The above link is pretty old I suggest download the latest one developed by Kano check the link below.

The setup and troubleshooting guides can be found here https://kano.is/gekko.php

If you can't able to make it work go to this support thread section below

278  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1166 Hasboard Screw support thread come off, board doesnt work. on: March 20, 2024, 12:10:07 AM
What bracket exactly? Are you talking about the busbar if it's not fixed or detached then the hasboard won't run because that is the power source.

If I'm wrong maybe have a different issue check for rust and corrosion? Try to clean it first use Thinner or Isopropyl if there is rust you can try to use sandpaper to clean them.

If the issue is still the same, check the API logs post it here, and let's analyze the issue.
279  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Unconfirmed Transactions on: March 19, 2024, 11:41:36 PM
Thank you for your responses! They helped assuage my fears of losing the bulk of my BTC. It was a long, sleepless night, but I am happy to report everything is working. I restarted Armory and set it to Rebuild and Rescan Databases. That worked! The funds are now listed with my spendable funds.

So I'm right in my prediction it's only the system issue, not the fee itself your post is unclear which is why other posts above pointed to the fee you paid but the issue is that the armory isn't syncing properly. Any blockchain explorer should clear your doubts. Also, beware of not shutting down the armory or the PC properly it sometimes corrupts the blockchain data and could result in syncing issues the same as what you experience, always shut down them properly next time to avoid this issue.
280  Other / Meta / Re: Problem with post on: March 19, 2024, 10:16:42 PM
There's an unclosed
in the post you quoted and the [ /list] is automatically added at the end of your post to close it.
    You should have removed the
from the quoted post.

@OP Or just move the [/ list] inside on what you quoted it should fix the issue look at the result I also do how you post the result should automatically add this at the end of my post
