You talk like he is guilty when the court hasn't even convened.

Oh and when did you decide that we shouldn't have an onion on whether or not someone is guilty if a court hasn't convened anymore?

262  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA admits climate change occurs because of changes in Earth's solar orbit... on: August 26, 2023, 08:07:29 PM
People are just crazy. They’ll swear to anything if it fits with their beliefs. Most liberals probably think Mars is cooler than the Earth because there isn’t any pollution on Mars. It really isn’t brain surgery. The farther from the giant flaming ball we’re circling in space you get, the cooler the temperature. That’s the main factor.

Really milking your sig campaign eh?
263  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Trump be indicted ? on: August 26, 2023, 02:00:38 PM
Trump posting his mugshot as his first post on twitter (X) in years is absolutely genius. He only has about 650K likes after 4 hours. While it won’t be the most liked twitter post, it’s going to end up being up there. This is an absolute mockery of the justice system. If this doesn’t wake people up we’re doomed.

https://x.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1694886846050771321

Do you think any former president that just lost re-election should be able to try and overturn the election by lying to government officials, intimidating election workers, asking government officials to commit election fraud by "finding him" more votes, or organizing an election fraud scheme to submit fake electoral vote documents through the official government channels?

And then there's the documents....and the shell company to avoid

Or do you just really hate democrats/love Trump so you're going to just right wing outrage lines like "absolute mockery of the justice system" without ever reading any of the actual indictments.

I understand your ignorance. Since you liked Biden so much, there was no reason to get into the details of how is team and his handlers stole the election for him. Completely understandable.

Perhaps you are a big fish in some little pond somewhere. But, the country is pretty big. Maybe it will be your grandchildren who become Chinese slaves, with chop sticks run into their ears so they can't hear the propaganda about how bad they are being harmed by their government.

Of course, if Biden continues, and somebody follows who is like him, it might happen a lot sooner... like directly to you... and all of us.

Cool

Liberals are so brainwashed they can only push their agenda by any means. The fact is that I think Trump as a person is a total douchebag. I wouldn’t want to meet him or have anything to do with him. However, his policies are sound and exactly what America needs. I don’t love Trump and hate Democrats, I love America and hate anyone who wants to destroy it with lies like there are more than 2 genders, or fostering mental illness in children by telling them they’re in the wrong bodies, or continuing to support a proxy war against Russia, or want SpaceX to hire illegal immigrants, or want to lock down our country over a fake virus, or want to raise taxes for an imaginary climate change grift, or want to spend our way into losing reserve currency status, or want to let illegals into our country without going through the proper channels, etc.

I don’t hate liberals, I hate stupidity. Although I can see how the two can be confused.
So you don't think any former president that just lost re-election should be able to try and overturn the election by lying to government officials, intimidating election workers, asking government officials to commit election fraud by "finding him" more votes, or organizing an election fraud scheme to submit fake electoral vote documents through the official government channels.

But Trump should be able to do those things.  Because you like his policies.

It's ironic how I keep hearing complaints about the charges being political and yet the only reason you're defending him has nothing to do with the facts and everything to do with politics.

Basic critical thinking: ask yourself "If a democrat did the things Trump is charged with doing, would I be against criminal charges being filed?"

264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA admits climate change occurs because of changes in Earth's solar orbit... on: August 26, 2023, 03:58:00 AM
Is NASA saying human activities are not the reason for climate change ? I doubt that humans don't contribute hugely to the change in the environment, although there are natural occurrence that could affect the climate like.carbon dioxide which is emission from vehicles, there is nitrous oxide, vapour from boiling water other substances and there are more that are human activities causing change. The issue is most of the causes of climate change is human factor, smoking is also part of it.

Remember Krakatoa in the late 1800s? When it blew, it darkened the skies around the whole of planet earth. And there were others. And solar cycles swing climate change back and forth every 11 years or so.

I'm sure that mankind contributes a tiny amount to climate change. But it is so small that if we didn't have solar changes and volcanoes interfering with out measurements, we might be able to measure human climate change.

Regarding CO2, often other chemicals are released by man right along with the CO2. But CO2 along with oxygen are the building blocks of life... especially plant life. If we had more CO2, we wouldn't need chemical fertilizers and pesticides and herbicides on our fields. The plants would grow so strong and healthy that they would resist 'bad' stuff all by themselves.

All the CO2 greenhouse effect stuff is simply speculation. And here is how speculative it really is. When people thought they could build a biosphere habitat, where they would live sealed off from the world, it barely worked for a period of time. Ultimately it failed.

Cool

The above graph compares global surface temperature changes (red line) and the Sun's energy received by Earth (yellow line) in watts (units of energy) per square meter since 1880. The lighter/thinner lines show the yearly levels while the heavier/thicker lines show the 11-year average trends. Eleven-year averages are used to reduce the year-to-year natural noise in the data, making the underlying trends more obvious.

The amount of solar energy Earth receives has followed the Sun’s natural 11-year cycle of small ups and downs with no net increase since the 1950s. Over the same period, global temperature has risen markedly. It is therefore extremely unlikely that the Sun has caused the observed global temperature warming trend over the past half-century.

Is the Sun causing global warming?

No. The Sun can influence Earth’s climate, but it isn’t responsible for the warming trend we’ve seen over recent decades. The Sun is a giver of life; it helps keep the planet warm enough for us to survive. We know subtle changes in Earth’s orbit around the Sun are responsible for the comings and goings of the ice ages. But the warming we’ve seen in recent decades is too rapid to be linked to changes in Earth’s orbit and too large to be caused by solar activity.

One of the “smoking guns” that tells us the Sun is not causing global warming comes from looking at the amount of solar energy that hits the top of the atmosphere. Since 1978, scientists have been tracking this using sensors on satellites, which tell us that there has been no upward trend in the amount of solar energy reaching our planet.

A second smoking gun is that if the Sun were responsible for global warming, we would expect to see warming throughout all layers of the atmosphere, from the surface to the upper atmosphere (stratosphere). But what we actually see is warming at the surface and cooling in the stratosphere. This is consistent with the warming being caused by a buildup of heat-trapping gases near Earth's surface, and not by the Sun getting “hotter.”

NASA admits the Sun isn't causing global warming^^^^

Fun tid bit from the georgia indictment:

One of the many lies Kraken lawyer Rudy was spreading about Georgia election workers Shay Moss and her daughter Ruby Freedman:

source

They claim the video actually shows one of them offering a mint to the other workers.  I'm sure BADeckers small brain will jump to argue "yeah, but they could be lying".  Look at the quality of the video.  This is what Rudy used to claim they were passing usb ports like drug dealers.  No other evidence.  Just the video.  You can't see shit.  He literally just made up the Usb port claim and then added the drug reference for effect, about random people he had never met that, as far as he knew, did literally nothing wrong.  And then he kept repeating the lie for weeks, and thousands of other people repeated the lies that he made up, as he watched their lives come crashing down:

They sued most of the Kraken crazys and Trump for defamation after being forced to move and go into hiding after Trump called them out by name as "Professional Vote Scammers", being stalked, harassed and threatened to try and get them to admit to election fraud even though they were only doing their job.

As part of one defamation case, Rudy admitted he was full of shit:

source

I think the way they went after election workers who were literally just random Americans minding their on business doing their job is probably the most fucked up and easy to understand thread in the case.  They literally don't give a fuck about what's right or wrong, what the truth is, or anything other than keeping power for themselves and away from Democrats.  If ever anyone deserved to serve time in prison for election fraud, it's Trump and the 17 Trumptards that were indicted in Georgia.  5 year minimum sentence on the Rico charge...I'd be surprised if half of them don't flip and end up testifying to avoid the trial - assuming that option is on the table for them.

268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: August 24, 2023, 11:50:54 PM

I should have mentioned Surovikian taking over Wagner when I thought of it yesterday so I could do a victory lap, but I've been tied up with other things.  My read is that Wager would trust him because he is sensitive about getting people killed for no good reason.

As for Prigozion and/or the real leader of Wagner who stays in the shadows, my first guess is that this was a Russian hoax or psych job and one or both are alive and well.  Retire to hang out with Ken Lay, Epstein, etc.

My second guess is that the Russians killed them in order to take over Wagner (which they would have been setting up for a while and would be the reason why Surovikian was put in charge of getting them outfitted.)

My third guess is some Western forces got him.  If so it would probably be the Brits since they are desperate enough to try it and way to weasely to admit it.  Probably not other capable parties.  The Israelies wisely put their bets on Russia from the first day of the SMO onward as best I can tell and are setting up to be friends with the bear when the dust settles.  Or bear trainers.

What about "Putin killed him because of what he did in June"...is that even a possibility in your fantasy world?  Or did you rule that one out as soon as the rest of the world started making that guess.

You were right, BADecker.  The 2020 election fraud is being corrected.

✂✂✂✂
But looking at Trump and Biden, both of them still look fit at their current age.

I would have agreed, if you were talking about Trump. To tell the truth, he looks fit taken into account his age. But Biden? How many times this guy fell down from the stage in full public view during the last few months? On top of that, it seems that he is suffering from advanced stages of dementia. I can't even imagine what would be his condition by the end of his term, if he gets elected for another 4 years in 2024. By 2028, he will be 86 years of age. Anyway, for me Trump is also not that better. He is only 4 years younger, when compared to Biden.

Serious question:  How many times have you watched Biden speak or do anything that wasn't presented by right wing media in short edited clips highlighting his gaffes?

Obviously he misspeaks more than any other president has.  But anyone that thinks he's in late stages of dementia has obviously been brainwashed (and probably doesn't even know what late stage dementia even looks like).

Go do your on research away from the lense of partisan media, some videos of him speaking on cspan or something.

Less serious question: what do you think trump would look like without all the orange paint, hair plugs, and botox?

Here's a small glimpse:

Wait I thought Putin and his chef staged the whole attack on the military command central and target practice on Russian helicopters while  marching towards moscow was all an act to expose disloyalty and therefore did not reflect any weakness from Putin in any way.

Oh wait that was just another hot be.open take.

You gotta give it to the "nice guy" Putin, this is far more elaborate than falling out of a window of a tall building, or poisoning.

Maybe they threw the pilot out the window.

If Trump's attorneys aren't afraid of getting disbarred for bringing in the evidence, Trump will win, easily.

So what happens now that even the attorneys need their own attorneys for their trials?

So, Trump uses the American dream in good and right ways, but you want to make money by stealing it from him... and from all of us who are in business. Is it that you are too dumb to figure how to make money in business?, that you have to pick on Trump because he made money, and hope to get a little money off of picking on him? That's called stealing.

Cool

Fun fact, trumps father gave him almost half a billion dollars, beginning when he was 3 years old.

He lost almost all of it in the 80s and 90s in bad business deals until he finally found a way to make money doing something he was good at with celebrity apprentice - pretending to be a successful business man.

Turns out being very good at being full of shit transfers well to American politics, especially if your target audience is the most ignorant, uneducated demographic.  They'll believe anything as long as it's something they want to be true. (Just look at the kraken thread)

So, if Trump gets the trial moved to Federal Court, things will change drastically in  his favor.

Yes.  And there's a reasonable argument involving laws prohibiting states from arresting federal officials that might get the charges dropped completely if it moves to federal court.

Of course there are plenty of reasonable arguments that the case should remain a State case as well.

There are also reasonable arguments that the President doesn't have the power to pardon himself.

Quote
Labat told reporters that the county would "have mugshots ready" for Trump and presumably the other 18 defendants in the indictment. There's no doubt that Willis and Labat are milking this indictment for all its worth.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be if they made him wash all his makeup off for the mug shot.

Ok but questioning the outcome of an election is not illegal.  Committing election fraud is.  They literally sent fake documents in pretending to be official electors.  Not provisional electors "just in case", they were strait up fraudulent documents claiming to be the actual electors.  Intimidating election workers to try and pressure them to lie and confess to rigging the election is also illegal.  And so is soliciting elected officials to commit election fraud (especially when you're the president and after asking for some helpful fraud you turn to threatening prosecution).

Exactly the point.

Glad you finally agree.

We all agree with Jack Smith. Yay.:

Oh and I just realized, I only posted the things he did that weren't illegal.  Here's the next section (these are from Trumps federal indictment.  Not the espionage act violations one, the one about trying to steal the presidency after losing the election) :

If this is a conflict of interest worthy of recusal then Trump should have no problem shopping around until all four of his criminal cases are being run by judges that he appointed.

Fun fact (irrelevant to Trumps criminal case):  Fusion GPS was contracted to do oppo research on Trump during the primaries by conservatives (almost certainly Ted Cruz). Hillary just took over the contract after Trump won the nomination.

This Trump situation is honestly one of the most embarrassing moments in American history.

Agree.

But and the worst part isn't  the permanent damage he's done to American intelligence agencies standing among our allies by hording documents and sharing war plans with writers a year after leaving office.

And not because he keeps pretending like he actually won an election he obviously lost and it wasn't even close.

It's not even the fact he keeps spreading ridiculous lies about the election, or attacking innocent election workers that have to go into hiding.

The most embarrassing part is how many Americans are so weak minded that they believe enough of what he says that he's likely going to be the gop nominee.

America looks like it's full of badeckers to the rest of the world.

Indictment is drafted before the grand jury votes.

Jury votes.

Indictment is edited if jry votes to convict on some but not all charges.

Jury foreman signs indictment and it's sent to judge.
