261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Identifying Potential Coins for the Bull Run? on: March 01, 2024, 10:59:07 PM
I'd just generally buy any of the topcoins if I want ones that would be affected by the bullrun. If you were asking about the newer ones though I haven't even heard of the ones you've said about and looking up Manta, seems like a coin that was released last January only. For these types of coins, I'd rather have a wait-and-see attitude before doing anything since I've been a victim of a lot of coins just crashing down after their initial rise.

Ofc if it was for the short term then I've bought and profited from a couple, but I do those rarely since I don't have the time to check out every new coin that is released each day. Airdrops are welcome as well.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Rally Ahead: Tom Lee's Visionary Prediction Foresees $150,000 on: February 29, 2024, 11:00:56 PM
Hey, I was doubtful before but seeing as to how the market is just smashing through the prices right now I don't think 150k is that impossible. Granted I don't think we'd reach it this year but rather the next since I expect the bull run to have the most impact during that period. It might accelerate depending on whatever stuff happens in the next couple of months but I ain't no witch to be able to predict what big companies will do in relation to Bitcoin.

I reckon the pace would need to increase more especially after we reach ATH if we expect the market to go up to 150k by this year.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Future of Gambling on: February 29, 2024, 10:28:23 PM

Ok so outside of the obvious development of being in a table with other players in a VR casino, I expect some developments of extreme gambling based-ish games say like, Russian roulette. I think from my example you can imagine that other, similar extreme games can be developed since, well, we're in VR. Granted I hope there's some studies first about how this affects the mind of a person but other than that, similar developments are something I'm extremely looking forward to since it breaks the limitations of what we can have or try with the current setup we have.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 09:32:43 PM
~my curiosity.
No not really. As you said, it's simply biased due to the factors one had growing up. And most obviously, the majority of old people have this kind of negative bias about gambling and there's nothing much we can do about it since it's pretty rare in the first place to change someone's judgment on something, especially on cases like gambling and even more so in cases of old people.

There are possibly some religions that restrict gambling and/or other activities but that's something someone of higher standing ordered you to do so I wouldn't consider it as part of the issue here since the question stems from restriction. I guess the only exception would be those who participate in self-exclusion. Now those are restricted.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: February 28, 2024, 10:27:42 PM
So I brought this topic to let us know that in gambling, if you just play it as though you don't take it seriously whether you win or lose then you might surprisingly win an amount that will amaze you one day and it would look as if you're smart or you know how to predict the outcome of events and in most cases, when a gambler wins they doesn't really care much about their previous losses regardless of the amount they won.

So I just felt like making some predictions in sports betting today and the events was about 8 matches, and it all played according to how I predicted them to go and I won the bet though I spent less than $1 just #1000 in my local currency to place the bet and i won close to $23 which is about #32000 in my local currency as well. Congratulations to me as i didn't expect this winning.

Congrats! And while it is good that you won and all, such a case isn't exactly the case for everyone else regardless of whether they intended to win/gamble seriously or not (if that's a thing). It doesn't matter at all. You win some, you lose some, end of story. I'd only ever consider you to have won big really if you made a win that resulted in a life-changing amount. The bets that you win that is pretty big, but not yet there? Sure, nice to have, but they'd inevitably equal out sooner or later to your losses. That's why just have fun!

Anw congrats to you again OP!
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 09:01:10 PM
Better not to overestimate and create a conservative prediction instead, FOMO is high up in the air right now due to how fast BTC has been going up. You can invest yea, but don't invest expecting BTC to go up all the time, especially in this period where BTC only goes up since whatever goes up, will go down. Wouldn't do you that well if you do indeed buy in and just lose money since you bought high and due to panic, sold low. I'm pretty familiar with it since I did it when it was my first time investing lmao.

I'd expect BTC to be up by $100k only on the following year. This year? We might go above the current ATH but I wouldn't expect anything past $100k.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you in your holdings? on: February 28, 2024, 08:56:26 PM
Well, there's the core part of my investment which consists of top coins like BTC, ETH, and others which I'm pretty confident in, probably an 8 for those ones. Then there are other coins out there in my wallet obtained from either airdrops or just some coins I bought on a whim. They are risky, but it's an amount I'm prepared to lose and would be willing to sell immediately after profit comes up, unlike my core investment which I hodl instead.

At the very least though I'm pretty confident most of said coins I invest in aren't some scammy or hyped-up project, so I can afford the wait for them. But well if they are, I'd just take the lose since I can't do anything about that lol.

268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 28, 2024, 11:54:03 AM
~
I've gotten a couple of payments in my past campaigns and services via casino accounts and yes, I've definitely impulsively spent them on the spot whenever I got them. I can't really judge whether it's something bad or anything since I don't know your current financial situation but if you need to spend said money for your basic needs, then yes its bad, if not then you are good imo.

Now to the support promoting part, I think it's a nice thing to do as someone who promotes their service, but at the same time I don't think you need to beat yourself up to do it or to justify doing it. Strictly speaking, us promoting casinos is just a, well, job. a contract of service from the casino towards us. Gambling using the money they paid you is outside of that jurisdiction, so no need to force a connection here. If you want it, then you want it, if not, then not.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 11:45:35 AM
~
Criticism isn't anything negative really, it's pointing out someone's mistakes or wrongdoings in the most blatant manner, which can be quite helpful when it comes to people who can't seem to understand what they're doing wrong. Though I guess it depends on how someone criticizes others, well, at least that's how I take criticism that comes to me. It's honestly a lot more helpful than empty words and whatnot that seem to support my "psyche" but in reality just build up a fragile ego in me lol.

Again, this depends on a case-by-case basis though, and how the person criticizes the other party. I'd definitely take any criticism on a positive note though, taking in the mistakes they pointed out and ignoring the rest that were seemingly made just to chide me.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much does it cost to have your own Casino? on: February 27, 2024, 11:01:49 PM
~
1- The price depends on said provider, I think it can only be obtained from the provider itself since they don't publicly disclose the price itself. Probably due to some adjustment features that they have for the API that the casino can and can't use.

2-I think casinos just pay the slot providers a flat amount for each use? At least that's how most APIs that I know of are charged. This is already a finished and for a specific use API though so it may be costed higher than what I'm describing.

3-Google. Github if you want to be more specific.

4-Casinos.

5-Gonna have to ask the provider on that one.

Honestly, the best answer you could get would not be from us but rather from either a slots provider or sports provider themselves. You can ask multiple ones to cross-reference. I doubt they'd keep it from you if you really have the intention to build your own casino.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Previous ATH achieve before bull? on: February 27, 2024, 10:25:26 PM
I think most people are saying that this is just either the start of the bullrun or not yet close to the end of the bull run. I think most people are equating the bullrun to BTC reaching its past ATh at the minimum before ith as considered to be a "start", but considering we're up by 30% the past month already and a couple of thousand away from said ATH with no signs of stopping or calming down, I think it's safe to say that we're in the start at the very least of the bullrun.

I'd say we'd be seeing a lot more impact a few more months later though since I expect a lot more increase in price half a year after the halving itself. As for alts, I think the big ones at the very least have seen some very positive growth, like ETH.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 27, 2024, 08:51:38 PM
~
It's a key but it's not necessarily a guarantee. Said key can be a broken-up into multiple pieces and education only plays a part of it. The real world isn't as simple as a 1 + 1 equation after all where, human relationships, capabilities outside of intelligence, and stuff like that are a factor, not to mention all the competition. You can liken school to a small part of the world (which it is) and there having multiple of them across the globe means having multiple 1st class graduates, so yea, competition is inevitable whether inside or outside.

That's where some people seem to get it wrong, they think by having that opportunity of being a graduate that everything will be better in future. I agree with you that everyone doesn't have the same opportunity and it all depends on luck honestly speaking, people always let it get into the their head that after school the next thing is getting a job in a bigger firm and some don't have what it takes like they can't contribute to their place of work.
It wouldn't be instantly better that's for sure, but it's a lot better than being some random bum out there who doesn't know jack. At least, said education can open up a few opportunities for you, especially with the lot of short courses that most people can get nowadays.
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should AI replace VAR? on: February 27, 2024, 10:54:23 AM
I'd say both? I might've said something different beforehand prior to previous discussions but recently I've seen a lot of AI make mistakes here and there so I reckon both human and AI-assisted VAR could potentially improve the accuracy of the judgment at the fastest speed possible. Ofc at some point AI may be accurate enough by itself but by then I reckon we'd have new and better methods like being able to pinpoint the point of impact on the ground to make reviewing and judging it 100% accurate.

I hardly doubt human intervention would completely disappear though. That's just something that I reckon would invite a lot of anger from the people, both players and fans alike.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: February 26, 2024, 10:57:08 PM
Probably a new ATH within the year, maybe even half. Now would that be the new ATH? Probably not. I honestly expected the price to go up only at the latter end of the year to the start of the next year so seeing it go up like this is a rather welcome surprise. It hasn't even slowed down by much and we're only at a quarter of the year, so I think there's no reason to not expect that the price would reach the current ATH by this year at the least.

The $100k expectations would probably be next year still though.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Unusual Story that Reflects the Current Gambling Addiction Reality on: February 26, 2024, 10:32:59 PM
~
Okay that suspicion was rather odd. I honestly wouldn't consider it as something that faults gamblers (or addicts more specifically), probably just a really bad experience by the husband when loaning money to others. While I do think giving out a loan to someone can be bad, at least that's what I think so since I avidly try to avoid giving out loans, there's no particular reason to be THAT specific for a reason unless there's some context behind it, so yea, I believe the husband had some problems, particularly him or someone close to him related to gambling and loans.

As for gambling being more prevalent to males, well, it is a fact that the majority of the gamblers out there are males so it isn't really that odd for addicts to be males.
276  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who plays bigger role in crypto adoption: General public or government ? on: February 26, 2024, 10:40:01 AM
Both. The public, or at least a part of it would probably try it out if the government publicly acknowledged it legally since to the average joe, they probably have no reason to use it if it was only going to get banned. And if the public generates more interest in it, the government would naturally try to accommodate and regulate it according to their laws as much as possible.

Well at some point the government being able to influence its adoption would stop, so I guess it'd probably skew more to the public instead? Especially if you consider how in a sense, people can use crypto with or without the government. The government is just there to make more people use it or have an interest in it due to their legal power.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 25, 2024, 11:05:57 PM
~
How would it become alarming? It's not alarming because it's women in general, it's alarming because in general, gambling is becoming more popular to the general audience since it's much more easily accessible now compared to the past. ANd I call BS on the 60 - 70% WR. It's either that or the sample pool is so small hence why the high WR lol.

Also, you make it sound so negative, there's nothing wrong for people, both men and women, to start gambling. It goes wrong if they ever start going past what they're capable/comfortable but that's after the point that they gamble.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 25, 2024, 10:47:02 PM

I wonder why these two brothers receive different impressions when both are running a gambling platform, honestly, I prefer my friends and relatives to bet on the lotto but I advise them to be careful when playing in a cockpit, because in a cockpit arena, you can wipe out all your money and you end up empty-handed because the games are continuous you have no control and you are tempted to continue playing or lose everything whereas in Lotto you can allocate your bets.

Do you have the same situation like this in your country where gambling operators are not getting the same treatment?
It's a difference in the perspective of the two games imo. Lotteries in general are accepted by the wider audience due to how it has spread through society. Cockfighting on the other hand is more frowned upon in general (at least, from what I know). It's rather similar to how people view other similar types like Bingo (it's pretty popular in my area) vs say brick and mortar casinos/online casinos. It might stem from how the process is done or something but idrk, I don't find that much difference between the two anyway.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling games that gives you an exciting experience on: February 25, 2024, 12:02:17 PM
I'd say gambling has developed more on being able to provide better experience towards their users while games are to some extent, simply variations of older games. There are some unique developments at least though so I guess I can't complain.

Anw, for games it's poker and crash. I don't think poker needs an explanation, top tier game. Crash just clicked to me. It's simple as hell and all I do is click 2-3 buttons each time but it just gives me so much joy lol.

Though the last year I've been more into sports gambling than regular casino games. Regardless of how much I enjoy it, the fun can go stale so I only come back to it every now and then.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 25, 2024, 07:44:56 AM
~
Hell no. My family are Christians and so I do tend to follow them whenever there are events and the like related to religious activities but I've never let it restrict me in terms of whatever I want to actually do. I don't think there are any restrictions whatsoever and my family knows I gamble and they never really make me stop whenever such events happen. Ofc I still have the decency to not gamble whenever I'm in the church or when I'm participating in any related events but that's about it.

If anyone were to argue that I'd have to make adjustments to my habits or activities because I'm religious, then they'd better prepare an argument that does not stem from the idea that gambling is being "unholy" or something related since I'd immediately write them off as a religious fanatic, which would equate to needing no conversation since it really isn't going to go anywhere.
