1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: May 27, 2023, 07:56:13 AM

Well, I bought some fractions of Bitcoin at the price of $30K, ETH at $2,100 but unfortunately they have been going downward since then. The bearish trend in the whole market is still prevailing, which greatly impacts on coin prices. Despite the bear market, Bitcoin is still holding on its ground with its price not fluctuating over the top. However, the altcoins are becoming more volatile than before and I begin to doubt whether investing in altcoins is a wise choice. Did you invest in altcoins ? What do you think of the current altcoin market ? Please let me know.
Well what did you assume? That the market would go up when you bought your coins? Wishful thinking then. Bitcoin is still down from a few weeks ago but in comparison to months ago, it's in a better place so no worries there, just bide your time with it. For altcoins I tend to never really hodl them for a long term, that's just going to really make you lose out imo in most cases (some cases investing on an altcoin for a year or two can bring out a lot). ETH is still looking pretty good I think, looking at the chart you clearly bought both coins at it's peak, meaning when it was rising up. Buy when it's going down, not the other way around. Buying when the price is going up is a quick ticket to losing money in the obvious short term imo.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin bonus real or a scam? on: May 27, 2023, 04:40:17 AM
I meaan if you really want free, then faucets like freebitco.in seems like a good place to start. It's a well-known faucet since ages (It's also where I first started with Bitcoin). Other faucets may also exist but if the amount they presume to give is too big to be realistic, or is a "doubling" mechanic (you deposit some amount, you get double), then yea just stay away from them. What you linked was pretty much an article about Bitcoin itself (from what I skimmed), and not really bitcoin bonuses or something similar. Well just know the only legitimate way to get Bitcoin(that I know of, there may be more) is through mining or trading.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why choosing instant withdrawal casinos on: May 26, 2023, 11:29:41 PM
In your opinion why you should choose instant withdrawal casino instead of regular ones that can take days to receive your winnings?
Because, well... it's instant? I mean who would bloody want to wait for your money to come in? Even outside of casinos, who would want to wait for say, your salary to come in months after you were supposed to get them? If it had interest, well, then that's the other thing (hence why lending business exists), but no, it doesn't have any of those. They just delay it infinitely because they want to (or they're using the money for something else).

But well, if I were to pick which of the lesser devils I'd prefer, a transparent support system would be my pick over instant withdrawals. At least I can trust them about when they'll actually give, though I guess it still depends if they go over my limit or not.
1044  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: May 26, 2023, 05:49:49 AM
Changing of terms and conditions without notifying the users or gamblers is normal with online gambling websites? Then when you did something wrong or about to withdraw your money they will tell you that you don't read their terms and conditions, and you start arguing with them until you decide to read the ToS again and you find out that it's different.

Some gambling websites consist of wicked owners that willingly plan to defraud their users using the ToS against them, or is this normal? Have such happened to anyone on this forum before?
That's not a casino, that's a scam. Legitimate casinos would notify users of the changes in their ToS possibly weeks, maybe even months before they implement them. It's just something natural. If a casino didn't do so and updated them without notifying their users, I'd just leave since they've fully committed to scamming at least one person with that change.

Afaik there has been some people who were victims, I recall some of them provided proofs while others claimed to be victims but sadly no proof was shown. It is hard though since in the first place,  who takes a copy of the ToS of a casino? I certainly don't.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: May 25, 2023, 10:56:11 PM
Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?
I wouldn't assume just yet that the bullrun is for the next year. And even if we were basing it off the halving, it's usually after half a year to a year of the event itself no?

Anyway assuming you'd participate in the next bullrun, whenever that is, I'd actively trade altcoins yea. The market is really active so you're going to see a lot of buys and sells. If you can manage, then you should be able to make some profit.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 25, 2023, 12:35:40 PM
Kind of yea. Funny how it was in fact my first time gambling that I got threatened about it tbf. I've told this before but my first gambling experience was in Highschool. I was in a relationship back then, and well, let's just say she didn't know that I gamble. She knew I played with poker and the like with my classmates, she never knew money was actually involved. And well... after she discovered, rest is history. I stopped, like completely for a few years.

I'm just glad it wasn't anything above that right now (well I'm single so I couldn't really get problems from that), but well, sad state for your friend I must say. It was a lot lighter in my case since it was a teenage thing, but for your friend? Damn that's like a commitment that was suddenly clogged imo.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 25, 2023, 04:16:39 AM
This has spranged up the adoption and development of meme coin where various websites how stating things like " the next big meme coin " or " a random coin is outpacing pepe and doge coin". One of the biggest issue that influence peoples decisions is that they follow what they had without any further research.
Standard marketing strategy. It isn't just these meme coins that use this, most marketing agencies pretty much follow the same format and while some do hold true, the majority of them are just words use to create buzz. Comparison is the biggest and easiest method to create an image of a new product.

About memecoins, that's just how they go. It's a risky investment that would probably flub in most instanced, wouldn't even call it an investment really. It's closer to a gamble, especially since you're betting not on the coin, but on how well it can be marketed (including artificial manipulation)
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 24, 2023, 01:02:07 PM
How do you see the father? Was he right by rejecting the son gambling win?
I mean, if he doesn't want it, he can give it to me. Kidding aside, the father has his morals set in stone I guess. I believe it's dumb, yes, but well, the man's living to what he believes, so I don't think talking about right or wrong here would do much, that's what he believes is right anyway. Talking about how he taught his kids is another thing though seeing as he hates gambling yet his kid went and did just that.

Maybe the father can simply decide to donate it or something, don't return it to the bloody casino, that's just dumb. Man's got principles with gambling, I reckon he also realizes he can do those stuff with the money. Kinda sad how I realize that there's no way in hell the kid can keep it for himself though and maybe reserve for his college life or something.
1049  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us to choose a bonus for a review campaign! on: May 24, 2023, 12:29:27 PM
Err depends on what kind of rewards we can actually get. If there's no limit, then coins, preferably Bitcoin or some other famous altcoins. We can get the tokens developed and released by the casinos we're going to review for but ehh, I'd much rather get some sort of free spins or something of the sort instead of those, coins from new casinos are a sort of "investment" in reality and as a gambler, I don't really think I'd appreciate that. I'd honestly put a cash reward, whether in Bitcoin or a flat amount of fiat in the casino account as the top option, the next would be probably some bonus perks if you're going to do reviews rarely, like permanent ones, or if you're doing this regularly, then yea bonus free spins would probably be the only option by then.
1050  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 24, 2023, 12:08:41 AM
Some countries ban gambling, which is not a big issue, but I read news online that police arrested a YouTuber just because his sponsor on a video is a gambling company. Gambling portrait as a crime in some third-world countries, but I think gambling is only a game and certain people play this game. If you play a game with all the responsibility and you lose, there is nothing a gambling company can do, so I believe it is a choice.
Care to cite your source? Tried looking up with the related keywords but all that came up were arrests that did NOT happen due to sponsors. Yes, gambling is illegal in some countries but I reckon some form of advertisement limited to telling people about the casino's name, and not gambling directly shouldn't be grounds for arrest.

It is indeed a game, a game that directly involves money, which causes a LOT of, well imo, non-existent problems really but for the others, major problems, maybe more on the ethical side of things.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: May 23, 2023, 01:07:40 PM
5. Most important of all became a smart investor and never doubt on possible profit which is not in your hands. Always be grateful on profit big or small since this could give you contentment and became always bullish on your investment.[/b]
Orrr just doesn't invest in meme coins in general if you want to be a smart investor. I don't know exactly how much chances there are of finding a gold mine in memecoins, but I reckon investment and time would probably go up by much to the point where the effort spent wouldn't have been enough. It might've been possible for a lucky break to happen but eh, might as well have gone to the casino in that case. If it were a side investment of sorts just because, well, you had free available money then I reckon as an investor it should be fine. I mean it isn't your major investment after all, I hope.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mr Beasts house robbed of everything except for bitcoin on: May 23, 2023, 04:17:28 AM
I reckon it wasn't even noticed because it was blatantly in the open. Maybe if it was part of a safe of important documents then the thief might've just stolen it along with the rest of the stuff inside as an add on.

It was funny when I first listened to it though. Probably not to people who don't know what the hell he was talking about.

Here's the thing, if they were crypto-thieves, that they were looking for that would be one thing, but they look like typical thieves looking for cash or gold and don't know much about bitcoin, hence the botched job.
To be fair, I'd categorize crypto thieves as the one doing the stealing online instead. Kinda like that kid who spent money on women which lead him to being arrested.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can personality trait or ones DNA sequence determine ones success in Bitcoin? on: May 23, 2023, 01:03:50 AM
My question is this, does personality trait or gene sequence or any inherited disorder contribute to determine whether one can become financially successful with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general?

Does one being an introvert or extrovert or being a student of arts or student of science determine if one can be successful with Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency endeavour ?
Isn't it just skill in general? Plus a bit (or a lot) of luck. I mean I don't expect everyone to suddenly have a eureka moment that banks were shit when they first read Bitcoins whitepaper (or anything related to it) nor do I expect them to know about it already/immediately. Even if you actually did know or understand it now, and would've also done the same in the past, matter of fact is you weren't part of the community then, so luck is involved in terms of early involvement.

As for success in terms of shorting, that's a skill. Its just dumb to put it all on "talent" or "genetics". Basically killed all the effort a person did. I'd say there's some level of a headstart based on your DNA though, but the entire result is the reliant on it.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 22, 2023, 12:51:02 PM
How many times have you successfully invited some gamblers to online casino? What is your experience doing so? I know many will find this hard to believe but I kinda prefer bringing in gamblers than investors into crypto, why? They understood the risk already, there is no talk and talk over again, there is no dealing with someone fear and confidence..
None. Never really done referrals before, and most of my friends that are non-gamblers aren't interested in gambling. Those that do though, are already doing it so nothing to refer to at all. Back in the days then yea maybe, I invited a few of my friends in the past to gamble (I was one of the early starters of gambling in our circle) and that pretty much brought about what we have right now with my circle.

And to the topic of gamblers and investors, I actually would do the opposite, gamblers can be quite, well, gamblers. Regardless of how they know about risks and whatnot, it's a lot easier to handle it when it's games (which is what we consider gambling is) but if we go towards investments and whatnot? Kind of a different story imo.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 22, 2023, 09:28:41 AM
I don't think being convinced by others is what you want, in the first place I think you already have some level of interest since you're asking others to persuade you so I reckon you need to convince yourself instead and probably realize that you're already getting swayed.

I'd recommend reading up on what Bitcoin is via the whitepaper though if you want some materials, gives you it's core for what it actually is without personal bias. After that you can probably read up on articles to remove confusions if you have any (or even better, ask around)
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 22, 2023, 12:04:46 AM
I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately? this past week I've experienced an increased encounter of gambling ads on videos I watch on youtube. it's not that it bothers me, I am just surprised because I don't remember getting this many gambling ads on youtube videos in the past, but this past week, I usually get a gambling ad from 2-3 out of 5 videos I watch(it's just an estimation because of how often I get the ads). I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.
Nope, cause I use adblocker Wink. I don't think I've ever had them on my phone though. Granted that I've never really accessed casinos in my phone.

Afaik though ads should be a representative of the stuff you watch in YouTube itself, I mostly watch gacha videos way back when I wasn't using adblocker, so most of my ads were about those. If you regularly use adblocker though and would sometimes not use them e.g. on a different pc, then afaik it should be general ads catered to your country.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Gambling Operator Court Case on: May 21, 2023, 01:32:36 PM
It's sad, yes, but at the same time dumb as well. Why not blame internet providers for giving access to gambling websites now. Addicts gotta stop victimizing themselves if the underlying cause is themselves and not external parties. I mean said gambler would've probably still done the same thing regardless of what casino down the line.

And I highly doubt casinos would put a limit, even if requested by a user (unless it's a feature of the casino, which is highly unlikely to happen, but will probably be welcomed by addicts). Their a business after all, primary goal is to make profit. Money from your average joe vs money from a gambling addicts are both money anyway.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Casinos Should Do Survey From Time To Time To Assess You. on: May 21, 2023, 04:27:32 AM
I'd say no, not really. While it is a good thing imo, it isn't exactly something they necessarily have to do.

In the case of thresholds, instead of a survey casinos might as well implement a system where they can only spend x amount per month, and we all know that's not gonna happen. And if users were to only answer what they can spend in a survey but not follow it, might as well not do it in the first place imo.

As for the VPN thing, well, a warning at the start may be better instead? And then a 3 coin (life) warning system, if it goes past that then it can be considered intentional (or if they keep vpn open for their entire session)
1059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What position you make more profit, buy or sell? on: May 20, 2023, 12:02:07 PM
Buy. I had a really bad experience with sell (shorts) in the past when I was new. It was basically something I did daily, I couldn't even break even most days due to how bad I was at doing it. A few months later I stopped completely and only after like a year did I start going for buy (long) instead. While it is slow, it does generate some profit at the very least from the time I started to this date. If I were better at shorting then yea, there's probably more profit there, but I'd say it's a lot more stable and better for me to keep at it with long positions instead.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Make profit in Crypto Trading as a newbie. Dream or reality ? on: May 20, 2023, 11:49:12 AM
Any comment on my article would be appreciated :

https://medium.com/@verinp/make-profit-in-crypto-trading-as-a-newbie-dream-or-reality-8ce64f7fe911

What do you think ?
What’s your investment strategy and winner tips ?
So it's shilling copy trading in the platform in the article. Does copy trading make a profit? Maybe, and that's why asking if it's dream or reality can be kind of confusing since we don't have a clear-cut answer. Even considering outside copy trading, just crypto in general, it's definitely possible imo. I mean I know some people who got off really well when the coin they were invested in popped off, like MATIC in the past. Should you follow them? Well if you're simply here to gamble then yea sure. If you want to last long though, then start setting up plans that you're gonna follow to a T for a long time, since planning for the long term is probably the easiest start a newbie trader can get.
