Now after very good three wins KXIP is hot favourite for qualifying in play off's becasue they have all remaining matches against struggling teams and they can beat them with this current form Gayle is also in good touch and remaining need to give some good effort for qualifying which is not far away from their reach.
They are a long way away from getting termed as "hot favorites". They have won three matches in a row and seems to be in good momentum. But they need to win all of their remaining matches in order to qualify for the payoffs. It is theoretically not impossible. But given that their matches are against strong teams such as SRH, KKR, RR and CSK, I am not that optimistic. Today's match KKR vs RCB is very balanced in terms of wins from both the side. This season the capt Kohli's team has shown some good performance which has made them in some top position while CSK who seems to be on Top always is down to the gutter. Till now RCB vs KXIP had a face off 25 times and its 12:13 wins respectively. So both team are at par but considering the today's match till now it may be a one sided match. In powerplay in IPL history this is the fifth lowest score scoring 17/4 in first six overs. What a bowling performance of Sairaj picking him today in match and delivering to his team with crucial 3 wickets out of 4 . Shikhar Dhawan is in top form. In 4 matches including today he has scored 2 consecutive hundred and 2 half centuries. Out of that 3 times he was also not out. If any top order batsman can continue and remains not out chances of winning their match increases and DC have won all those matches. Today's match is still on and some contribution in previous matches came from Shreyas Iyer. DC may face issue if these 2 batsmen’s get out early.

Both teams played well. I didn't think the match would go for super over. I thought KXIP could easily win the match. If they had played a little better in the last over, they could have won the match without super over. But the match was really exciting. i think it is the most exciting match in this IPL.

They have 5 matches remaining, and they need to win almost all of these matches if they want to qualify for the playoffs. And it is going to be tough, as their next matches are against very strong teams (vs Delhi Capitals tomorrow, and then against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 24th October). My guess is that they need to win at least 4 out of the remaining 5 matches. I don't think that it is possible. Winning all 5 matches is so difficult, but not impossible! I've seen their next match is against DC. Winning a match against DC is a big challenge for the team KXIP. If they are able to defeat DC then I think they have the ability to play in the playoff. Anything is possible in cricket and after Chris Gayle coming back KXIP are a different team now. It is tough for them to win all the five matches but it is not impossible. They will give a tough fight to DC in the next match that I am sure. At the moment DC are on top in the point table and they are playing exceptionally well as a team in this season of IPL. Chris Gayle is unpredictable and when he gets in form, he is one man army which in previous IPL season we have seen it. The doors for Punjab to top 4 is still open but will be very difficult. And yesterday was a sort of history for us. Never seen in IPL 2 matches in a day which end up as a tie and super over is a decider. Later on she gave a birth to Kitten and all in our premises are so good with Cat and Kitten that in a separate corner we got a cattery so that in night can stay in that and during the day she keeps roaming in our premises. Some of the changes I have observed in some of the past games being played. There could be a multiple factor involved in it. Firstly, due to pandemic there is no audiences so due to which players who get boosted when the audiences cheer for them it is missing and, I think is important factor to motive any player during the game. Secondly due to pandemic and virus still being active the player may be little tensed since they meet many during this time and are out of their homes to play the games and they may not get infected due to it.
