I don't know what is going through the minds of Janneman Malan and Jon-Jon Smuts right now. The required run rate is almost 6 runs per over, and these guys are scoring at a rate of around 3 runs per over. And the funniest part is that the spinners are bowling right now, with leggie Adam Zampa and left-armer Ashton Agar going through the overs quickly.
Relax!!! They are playing just fine they are trying to built up a partnership. Plenty of overs left nothing to worry. They only need good five overs to correct the duneate. The score is well within the reach. South Africa needs a good partnership at this stage. The match is well poised as SA needs 108 runs in 90 balls and 7 wickets in hand . Malan is batting on 70 and Klassen is on 40 and if they stay on wicket for next 5-7 overs SA will inch closer to victory and if OZ can take this 2 wickets quickly match will come in their side . 217/4 is an achievable target for South Africa, if they play sensibly and calmly. If South Africa wins this match then they will win the series. Good balling by Lungi, he took 3 wickets for 46. Finch and Short both innings of 69 runs have helped OZ to score 271 runs in 50 overs . Thought he score is not that big but wickets that is going to matter for SA. If Oz can take couple of quick wickets early on then they can put the pressure on the remaining batsman . I was once at almost severe level back when I was really hooked up in gambling but as I grow up and realizes what I am doing wrong I went back and made a change by myself and now I'm sure that my level today is only at the beginning again, Yes I do still gamble up to this date but I have now full control over on how much I will play and I'm just doing it for fun.
This is really a good example of how people do evolve and once you ready to accept that you are over boarding something and start making correction you would be on a my better side and will be proud of this achievement . True that it will be one sided match but don't forget that South Africa is leading the 3 matches ODI series (1-0) and the win was a big one for them (SA won by 74 runs). If they can manage to win the series they will be very confidence and have a great fight against India too. Rohit and Virat not playing so it should be good content. @pakhitheboss i doubt that but if it happens then its okay too, good for players as some of them can use rest before the IPL. More bad news coming out from Noida. Schools will now remain shut till March 9th. March 10th is an official holiday in india, so basically till 10 th of March school will be shut. I fear South African board might cancel the tournament and this situation can also affect IPL. Very ugly situation in the making. Things presently are getting only worse as new cases is being found in the entire world and as the dates are nearing for IPL definitely it will effect it and not sure if the dates could also be postponed as next tournaments etc is already schedule . Might be few players may not come due to the rapidly rising of virus unless by Mid March things started to get much better and able to curb it . |

Dhawan Test career is finished for good and he's not coming back. Not worry about Pujara and Kohli as they are world class cricketer and for them its just matter of time. I like Rahane as he's the only Indian batsman who used to be very successful in SENA counties but his recent form is very concerning, I hope he get his form back soon.
Dhawan is amazing against AUS particularly while Rahane will probably retain his form soon. On the other hand, Pujara and Kohli need to up their game since their performance has gone down the drain. Dhawan is kind of player like sehwag who like to play their nature of their batting style no matter what format is that and Dhawan is not successful as sehwag but still he have dare to play on any condition and once he gets going he will be unstoppable.Fitness issue of experienced players maybe the major issue in this lost series so once they come into fit and form India is not a team that what we have seen for the past couple of weeks. I also like the way Dhawan takes on bowlers irrespective whichever format it may be. He is also an aggressive and attacking batsman which is required on top as you can get a good Start or a quick start which can help the team for a big score . Also left and right combination plays a vital role just like how OZ have Finch and Warner. So Dhawan should always be their and only thing should remain fit as much as possible beacuse once he gets in form it becomes difficult for bowers to bowl to him . |

Outstanding match today between Zim and Bangladesh and the way Zimbabwe middle order batsman played and attacked it looked a different team all together . It was unfortunate that they ended on a losing side by just 4 runs chasing a score of 323 runs .Tiripano blistering innings helped Zimbabwe to come so close to the chase and yet just missed the win.

ICC needs to open its eyes. Every year, close to 12 million USD is send to the Zimbabwe Cricket Board by the ICC. And most of this amount get stolen and the quality of cricket in Zimbabwe continues to decline. At the same time, promising sides such as Nepal and Malaysia are struggling due to the lack of funds. My advice is to suspend Zimbabwe for an infinite period of time, and distribute the funds among the associate nations. If it was that easy to do ICC would have done that already, i think they have cut short the funding and degraded their status recently, it is not that easy to claim that the funds are stolen just like that, either you need some evidence to substantiate the proof to completely stop the funding, if not it will be against the contract they have, i guess they have a contract with the Zimbabwe cricket board regarding the funds.
Bangladesh lost two wickets because of their sloppy running between the wickets but Tamim Iqbal is still in the crease approaching his century against Zimbabwe and if they are able to score over 280 runs it will be a tough chase for Zimbabwe. Bangladesh after winning the toss decided to bat against Zimbawe and the opener Tamin played one of the best innings of his life by making 158 runs. This has helped the team to reach 297/5 in 46 overs. If Mithun can stay till 50 overs then Bangladesh can aim for 335+ runs easily and would be a good score to defend. |

Looks like both teams basically humiliated each other through out this series. Began with India humiliating NZ in the T-20 series(5-0) which many people are conveniently forgetting and ended with NZ humiliating India in both ODI(3-0) and test(2-0) series.
Overall, it was an entertaining series. Both teams need to improve in so many areas. Also, IPL hype has begun people(Chennai fans are losing it with Dhoni's return). Exciting!
The major difference is that NZ lost T20 matches in which 2 went in super over which means both were at par . That is different that both were one sided match for them but India came back strongly in those matches . But rest of the series ODI and Test match those were not close enough where India played well or something . It was really poor performance of the team due to which it lead to this situation . They will need to re- engineer and make a comeback back now . |

Match between Zim vs Bang, Bangladesh won by a record margin of 169 runs. Chasing 322 runs , Zim batsman could not do much and got all out for 152 runs in 39.1 overs. Madhevere was highest scorer from the team making 35 runs. LITON Das was named Player of the match for unbeaten 126 runs which helped Bangladesh to post such huge score and put pressure back on Zimbabwe batsman.

I would disagree with the target given by you (250). IMO, even 180 will be enough, if the Indian bowlers do their job. 200-220 would give the Indians a definite advantage. We all saw how the New Zealand batsmen struggled against the Indian pace triad during their first innings (Mohammad Shami / Umesh Yadav / Jasprit Bumrah)... And the 4th innings is going to be even tougher. You think India could win comfortably with a lead of just 180, if you are that confident then that is great but first let us see whether they are able to put up a score above 150 runs, New Zealand batsman are good in their own home ground and if the total is small to chase and with a couple of days left in this match they can play a patient innings to win the match. The first couple of hours will determine how the match will end  . Poor form of India continues and as a result NZ have beaten India comfortably by 7 wickets. Both openers of NZ had made half century and lost first wickets at 103 runs chasing 132 runs to win. Jamieson was Player of the match for picking 5 wickets in first innings and making 49 runs in the same innings as well. India would have to re-align their unit as the way they started the NZ tour and in the end have being just losing all the matches seems there is a huge imbalance in the team. |

What a superb match being witnessed between WI vs SL , where the way WI started seemed that it should be an easy chase and in later on SL pulled the wickets and in last Allen fast paced innings of 37 in 15 balls almost bought WI to victory but wickets kept falling on other end and as a result SL pulled back the match on their side and won it by 6 runs . It was a real roller coaster ride both teams have gone through in the match .

Sri Lanka posted a decent total of 307 runs and West Indies started really good and the openers gave a really good start without loosing any wicket and if they can put partnership like that they can avoid a white wash and win the match. Sri Lanka started really well and they were poised to make a huge score with the way they were batting but West Indies started picking up wickets in the later part of the innings and that is how they were settled for 307 runs.
SL's almost batsman today has contributed with the bat and helped the team to reach 307 runs in 50 overs. In response, WI have started very strongly and just lost their 1st wicket. they are now 113/1 in 19.1 overs. The match is equally poised and if WI have wickets in hand they can clinch this match. It is going to be wickets that matter here if WI lose it SL will win the match as it would add more pressure on coming batsman. |

1st ODI between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh has started at Sylhet. Bangladesh winning the toss have decided to bat first. Liton das is on fire and batting at 62 in 56 balls and has played some magnificent shots in this innings so far. They are 105/1 in 20 overs and Zimbabwe bowlers were not hat effective in the first 10 overs bowling wise. Zimbabwe require some quick wickets to be back in the game.
Linton Das was retired hurt at 126 runs, Mithun in the end played 50 runs innings which helped Bangladesh to score 321/6 in 50 overs. In reply Zimbawe have started very poor and have lost quick 4 wickets for a just 66 runs in 19.4. Now, it seems quite impossible for them to score another 255 runs with average of 8.55 runs an over from here. |

Today we watch much better and organised South Africa as first they done very good job in batting and now have very competitive and good fielding and bowling right now South Africa controlling match Australia is out of match after few quick wickets now its very tough for them to handle Ngidi and Shamsi as both leading home team for first ODI win. It was a dominant performance by South Africa, Heinrich Klaasen was the player that made the difference as South Africa was able to put a good total on the board so that they could put pressure on the Australian batsman and the South African bowlers especially Ngidi bowled really well and picked up wickets at regular intervals. After seeing the T20 series i did not expect a performance like this from South Africa especially when they lost Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma within the first 10 overs. Awesome performance by South Africa, Australia being the favourite were destroyed by the Africans. They played as team and perfomed on all levels. Australians were struggling from the beginning. Two more matches to go with SA leading by 1-0. An all round performance by SA team has lead to this superb win over OZ. And due to which they were able to beat OZ by 74 runs margin which itself is an achievement for them. SA will have to maintain this balance in coming matches so that they can win series as well. Klassen was his 123 not out innings was named man of the match. |
