2601  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-12-02] Tulipmania Critic Writing Bitcoin Book on: December 02, 2014, 01:47:31 PM
I seriously wish that guy would fuck off.
2602  Other / Off-topic / Re: Real Money Skill Games (no gambling posts pls) on: December 02, 2014, 01:11:12 PM
I checked out Market Glory, it's a bit of a joke, with a lot of these things people who put money in will have a huge advantage over people who don't, might as well save up some money and invest in altcoins frankly.
2603  Other / Meta / Re: Board Request: Jobs on: December 02, 2014, 12:44:30 PM
It would be a nice idea to have a proper section, services is a bit vague so you tend to get businesses posting up offers as well and there's of course the sig campaigns too.
2604  Other / Meta / Re: ban help on: December 02, 2014, 10:55:54 AM
If you newbies keep posting spam you're going to get banned and I'll likely be the one that's reporting you especially if you're necroing old posts purely to bump your post count, so learn your lesson and quit trying this bullshit.
2605  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have newbie jail back, please? on: December 02, 2014, 09:29:03 AM
It certainly does work, but it's also kind of unfair to all the legit people now signing up because they've heard of Bitcoin and want to talk about it or get help on using it so it's a bit of a tricky one to figure out really, I suppose as long as the requirements aren't steep maybe it should be brought back because I managed to get in when the newbie jail was around with not much of a problem.
2606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Vircurex is *still* holding stolen coins. Where's the outrage? on: December 02, 2014, 07:51:37 AM
There was a clusterfuck of outrage, where have you been? I was one of the lucky ones that immediately withdrew it after they suddenly started having 'technical' difficulties and needed to do maintenance on the Bitcoin wallets, thing is though people aren't so easily fucked over like they were with MTGOX so everyone must have just spotted the signs and moved on.

Sucks for your friend though to have that much money stuck in their account.
2607  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: December 02, 2014, 07:46:37 AM
There are lots of signature campaigns popping up that are using escrow now, well done to all of the ones that have and it's nice seeing real services doing the advertising instead of just gambling sites too.
2608  Economy / Services / Re: *ActionCrypto.com Options Signaure Campaign* ESCROWED* Earn 0.1 Best Rate * on: December 02, 2014, 07:44:50 AM
Well done for escrowing! It's good to see more sig campaigns doing this!
2609  Other / Off-topic / Re: Kids today are spoiled with their gaming computers! on: December 02, 2014, 07:20:51 AM
Well if and when I can afford it I may get an SSD to try it out, but that's when Tongue Right now though I'll be happy getting my computer, at least with the SSD I can just slot it in once I get it so it's not a big deal getting one later you know Tongue  Also, typical post service! Said it was arriving yesterday but it turns out it's coming today instead! Just when I had to go to a doctors appointment as well!

Again though, even without the SSD drives you guys don't realise how much of a difference just having this 8 core processor is going to make to me Tongue
2610  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do if the US Dollar crashed ? on: December 01, 2014, 01:30:25 PM
I will just buy a load of USD with my EUR.

You would buy USD after a crash ? I read some articles online that the US Government would switch to a new, gold backed currency. Sounded like a crackpot conspiracy though.

I don't listen to news sites and people who are hoping that the USD will fail. It just won't happen.

If there is a significant price drop I will definitely buy up USD. Great investment opportunity.

LOL!

What's so funny ?

Because nothings funnier for me lately than seeing people in denial about a crashing global economy because it just shows how little you guys live in the real world.
2611  Other / Off-topic / Re: Feeling frisky? You're not alone! on: December 01, 2014, 12:23:17 PM
Ugh Daily Mail that said though Tongue in general I am far more hyper than in summer as anyone who has seen my rants knows.
2612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who maintains the post-mining Bitcoin network and why? on: December 01, 2014, 10:08:17 AM
The thing you need to realise is, if we actually manage to hit 21 million coins, chances are Bitcoin will be so popular that the transaction fees despite being so small will probably make the miners more money than if they were mining blocks because of the amount of trade volume we have, think about it, exchanges and the like can operate on 2% or so transaction fees so when you have less than the on an entire cryptocurrency network that can still equal a massive amount of coin for miners.

The reason being because instead of it being about generating currency, it will just be about finishing peoples transactions which will theoretically have no real limit beyond the coins in circulation in how much miners could profit from it so owning a miner with the maximum amount of coins generated would be like owning shares on an exchange.

I don't think that they're going for a gold backed currency, Max Keiser's theory of a world 'digital' currency sounds a lot more plausible they'll probably blame paper for it and then claim that they need to digitise everything in order to keep to their targets better. Basic rule of keeping your wealth is this, don't invest in anything that is easily controlled by governments, especially if it's under control of the U.S.

Going for a gold backed currency would actually be a responsible move, but good luck getting any of the current leaders to do that.
2615  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do if the US Dollar crashed ? on: December 01, 2014, 09:19:16 AM
Trade in Bitcoin, Gold and Silver, my objective right now is to pretty much only get Bitcoin and then I'll buy up precious metals, silver being the cheapest right now.
2616  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coffee without sugar or milk? on: December 01, 2014, 09:16:51 AM
I always have my coffee with just milk.
2617  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to get started with mining on: December 01, 2014, 08:47:21 AM
Could anybody explain the best and quickest way to start mining as i am new to the crypto currency era

The main thing is to do the maths first and it depends on how involved you want to be in the process, the most obvious step would be to buy your own mining hardware either GPU's for scrypt coins or ASICs for Bitcoin, both require quite an investment, you could also buy up cloud mining contracts which is a lot easier but as I'm sure people here will scream you won't get an ROI ( Return On Investment ) quickly.

As always, do the maths and look at mining calculators and so on so you can see whether you think it's actually worth getting involved or not.
2618  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you going to buy on black friday? on: December 01, 2014, 08:01:18 AM
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way about Black Friday, then again, I am just as guilty given some of the deals that are out there, just have the sense to stay away from the shops as much as possible towards Christmas guys buy off the internet.
2619  Economy / Services / Re: CLOUDMINR.IO || Sign. campaign Up to 0.4 BTC/month || ** NO FREE SPOTS ** on: December 01, 2014, 07:47:16 AM
What is my starting post count for this week. Is it 238 correct.  ?

Make it 251 as starting post count in the spreadsheet for this week.

238 is correct, the post counts for this week were calculated about 24 hours ago.
Thanks for the inquiry.

Money received thanks devthedev! Also, thanks for signing me up again, keep me on!
