2601  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between the developed countries and developing countires on: October 08, 2018, 07:17:43 PM
People haven't pointed out yet that developed countries have higher net migration rates as well as these countries also have considerable amounts of overseas workers working in their country. This only show that developed countries even though they have higher cost of living their income still covers it up and still have something left to be sent back to their families in their country of origin. The main factor for them to move to another country if of course better chances of being employed to a well paying job and they are right about that, some countries' minimum wage is even higher compared to what mid-level executives are being paid in some developing countries, this only show how better wages are in developed countries.
2602  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AresProject - SCAM - stealing people's identity on: October 08, 2018, 02:50:30 PM
Nice catch, but I don't think it is necessary to warn other people anymore, the thread died down a long time ago and their ANN thread only became active for one day and it didn't pick up any steam in the forum due to a lot of early posts telling a lot of red flags of the ICO, also chances are the other members have seen the red flags already (as seen on some posts in the ANN Thread) and they only have forgotten to warn other members of the community. And their alleged "Token Sale" already ended a month ago based on their dates given in their "Buy Tokens" page.
2603  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC to Begin Reviewing 9 Rejected Bitcoin ETFs on: October 08, 2018, 02:08:04 PM
I'm sorry but I don't think it will bring any impact on the current price. Its just a review and nothing more. They have rejected everyone so I'm sure that we will get the same results here. I'm not against any ETF, it has both advantage and disadvantages, however, those who are in line for review is no different from each other, it still doesn't answer the universal question that SEC has been asking for "how can they prevent the market from being manipulated?
The news report said they are making a review due to some amendments with it comes to their application. This review might not be something but it is their standard procedure when someone is appealing to them to get another formal review process. Even if they have positive news about the 9 ETFs in October 26, I doubt that it will cause a price rally (or even any kind of influence in the price) as a lot of people have clarified already that this kind of institutional investing in the market won't really influence the prices. Plus the news about ETFs is getting cold already, people might not even see any importance about this news once it is out later this month.
2604  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-08] Blow To Bitcoin As Coinfloor CEO Makes Worrying Warning on: October 08, 2018, 01:14:43 PM
I hope at least they put them into cryostasis and revive them when a bull run happens. I expect the next bubble to be that much bigger again with all the strain that brings. Most exchanges couldn't cope last time. They'd absolutely fall apart if something more powerful happened.

I'm not sure how they'll ever manage to solve this. Boom and bust will continue for a long time to come.
This is a good idea for the company but I don't think the laid off workers will feel the same. Them being in a pool where they are waiting to be called up for employment is a bad idea, first off they won't stay idle for the next bull run to earn some money, secondly they won't like the idea that they are just some kind of Seasonal Employees where they are only hired back when the bull run is also happening. They are better off finding a new job where there is a sense of permanency in their employment. Now these employees would know that entering in this industry is not the most sustainable way of becoming a long term employee.
2605  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-08] Blow To Bitcoin As Coinfloor CEO Makes Worrying Warning on: October 08, 2018, 11:09:22 AM
Downsizing in the industry is an inevitable thing to happen, just like how mining companies are shutting down due to loss of income this thing will not stop happening as long as their main earning points (cryptocurrencies) are not as valuable compared to its prices during the bull market. If they increased their employees during the last year's crypto craze, as a business owner I couldn't imagine how can they maintain all of their employees they have hired when both prices of cryptocurrencies and trading volume in their exchange is down, the only feasible thing to do is to sack some of their employees to keep the company afloat.
2606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 229: Khabib vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 07, 2018, 08:15:05 PM
~snip~

You are wrong. Khabib's fight IQ is very much lower than Conor's fight IQ. I am not telling you this because I like Conor more than Khabib, I like both of them. But Khabib is a 1 dimensional person, while Conor McGregor is a deep thinker and has studied more on the soft skills of martial arts and combat more than Khabib.

Conor is an open thinker and has used different techniques to improve his martial arts. An example of this is learning the movements of Ido Portal which as something that he was ridiculed in the MMA community. But it worked as witnessed in his fight versus Jose Aldo.
So, am I on point with what I have said? Did McGregor showed that he was an open thinker who was using different techniques when he tapped out? But kidding aside like I said McGregor's only hope was facing Khabib while standing up which he didn't do as Khabib took him to the ground almost 3/4 of each round. Khabib who was 26-0 entering this fight should made McGregor to prepare more but what I have seen where he can't even get out of a take down showed lack of preparation on countering Khabib's attempts, sad to see McGregor losing the fight but Khabib showed that he is the better fighter in the ring.
2607  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto coins on my website on: October 07, 2018, 06:06:37 PM
The best and most easiest way to integrate Bitcoin payments in your website is availing merchant services like what Coinbase and Bitpay is offering. Both of them will only take a percentage of your total transaction fee on each transaction made in your website and the good thing about this is they also have the ability to have direct bank deposits on your bank account as they can also convert your crypto payments into fiat for your convenience. Now for people paying with Paypal and credit cards to your website, so far I haven't seen any kind of integration when it comes to them converting your payment to cryptocurrencies, you will be the one who will manually do it as there is no services currently available.
2608  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Payment processor to take fiat, & Ok with Crypto in the business - any ideas? on: October 06, 2018, 07:04:54 PM
If you are having a monthly subscription with your music business I think the best way to go is to accept credit card payments that are either Visa or Mastercard enabled as this is the right way to go and I think will be the most preferred way of payment of your monthly subscribers as the payments will be automatically charged in their accounts. As for accepting credit card payments in your business, the credit card companies won't care that you are also having other modes of payment in your company as it is your company and they won't simply deny you of their services because you have your own cryptocurrency.
2609  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide on how to review tokens/coins, that you want to invest in. on: October 06, 2018, 04:44:56 PM
I don't know if this is a popular way or not but most cryptocurrencies have their own subreddit pages and they are very useful. I often go to the subreddit pages of altcoins I have an interest in and the information, guides, news, price predictions, and personal opinions about the altcoin are very helpful to me and of course to other redditors. Of course not everything you read is always true that is why doing additional background checks in your part is needed. For people that are not good at digging the Altcoin's website and whitepaper I think this way of doing research is good as you know where to start looking at.
2610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important discussion over BAN. Newbies must read. on: October 06, 2018, 03:13:26 PM
As I have been over the forum since more than 5 years, I've been thinking why there isn't a page specifically mentioning everything about bans and some rules to be followed in order to prevent themselves from getting ban-hammered?
Even if there is one, I doubt that the newbies will be reading those pages relating to rules as they often go ahead posting right away. Even our pinned thread about our Unofficial list of BCT rules in this section is not getting enough attention to people who are intended to read it first (lower ranked members). I think the best solution for this one is for people who are registering in the forum be redirected to a page where they are needed to read and accept some important rules in order to avoid being banned before they can even create their accounts. But still this is not enough to prevent them while they are now in the forum, everyone here is capable of breaking the rules as the mods cannot monitor all of us.
2611  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: is bitcoin is a private currency on: October 04, 2018, 08:44:54 PM
I think this shouldn't be debate on as it really depends on what country you are in and what laws is applying to the industry. Not to mention that there are also different kinds of cryptocurrency namely utilities which acts out as money and securities which are acting out as stocks of a company which some are paying regular dividends. Even the word private currency should be defined by your own law making body in the law itself in order for us to have just one common answer in place.
2612  Other / Meta / Re: Petition for new mods who will ban users who troll and harass sites on: October 04, 2018, 07:52:26 PM
Although No Trolling is included in the list of forum rules I still haven't seen any member who got banned just by purely trolling in the forum. All the banned accounts I am seeing are either from copy and pasting as well as spamming. I still see their names posting in the usual sections where they often can be found and they still troll in these sections. Sad to say that the chances of game-protect being banned due to trolling (harassing hasn't been proved yet) is low.
2613  Economy / Economics / Re: Are loans - part of debts? on: October 04, 2018, 06:25:16 PM
I am not an Accounting graduate but debts and loans can be classified as liabilities both of which can be paid under accounts payable as well as loans payable, these two are both put in the credit side of your accounting sheet as both of them is a deduction in your money. The only difference I see is debts can be paid in full and one time payment while loans is paid within a fixed term as well as fixed price, the only time debts can be loans payable is when it will be paid in several fixed payments. I hope you understand my explanation about it.
2614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's is the best bitcoin wallet for beginners? on: October 04, 2018, 05:13:43 PM
If you won't be holding a considerable amount of BTC (based on your preference) and you will use it to send and receive payment then I think the most convenient and user-friendly wallets out there are 3rd party wallets (Coinbase) with apps for their mobile versions of the wallet. The security is not flawed by no means even though your BTC is also online in the app it is still protected by your passwords, 2fas, and even some have Fingerprint security access in their apps. Wallet apps also uses your phone's camera which is helpful if you are scanning a QR code in order to obtain their wallet addresses.
2615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tone Vays says target is 5000$ on: October 04, 2018, 03:52:36 PM
Tone Vays looks and sounds like a pro chart analyzer but there are often time his price predictions are not correct. Even though I am still new in watching his videos I know part of it is his promotion on his workshops, where he gets his main income on (not in trading) as 1 slot of the workshop is worth .1BTC which is about 650$ in today's prices. Even though there is no structure on when and where in the video he promotes his website he shows it a few times in order to show you that he will be having workshops with this places.
2616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Satoshi burn BCH if he(they) are actually against it? on: October 04, 2018, 12:36:01 PM
If he really would want to harm BCH, he'd probably just dump all of his coins for BTC. Not necessarily to get the money, but simply just to crash the price.
Even with this technique I don't see BCH's price dump will be something it won't be able to rise again. The quantity that Satoshi will be dumping will still be circulating back in the market again once it is sold, most likely another whale/s or even  groups of people will take advantage of the prices and will most likely do some hardcore pumping depending on how much it crashed. Most likely the price dump will only make the prices volatile in the short term but the recovery of its prices is still inevitable.
2617  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-28] One of India’s biggest cryptocurrency exchanges is shutting down on: October 03, 2018, 08:46:09 PM
Looks like the Central Bank's way of shutting down the cryptocurrency industry indirectly is proving effective as Zebpay will now be shutting down. They allowed their operations but they unreasonably prohibited the banks from doing transactions with them, it is pretty obvious that they don't have any intentions of them surviving in their country I don't know if this is a coordinated attack or not but why is the Supreme Court's verdict taking so long? They should have release a verdict by now yet I don't see any news about it.
2618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are 0% house edge dice games at ? on: October 03, 2018, 07:45:24 PM
0% house edge means the casino doesn't earn money from players/gamblers. Casinos are here to make profit, nothing else.
Nope it is not that simple to conclude in that kind of thinking and it does not mean that Casinos won't be earning anything from the gamblers, it just simply means that the advantage in their bets are taken away from them, in short the game is even for both the gambler and the casino during their standard bet on their 2.0X multiplier. In standard dice sites during the 2.0X bets of their gamblers they have the edge usually at 50.5% meaning the gambler's chance of winning the bet is slightly lower at 49.5%
2619  Other / Meta / Re: Discover "Bitcointalk Campaign", what is the hell going on bounty board? on: October 03, 2018, 06:47:08 PM
still, many of these projects actually advertise off site that they require bounty participants to bump the announcement thread, that is the sole reason some of these ICOs host their bounty off site.
Yup I do have to agree with you even though they don't show that they are requiring some post in the Ann threads here in BCT they are showing it in other modes of communication mainly in their Telegram groups or Discord Channels which in there they are asking their participants to post in their Ann threads. The result is you will see a lot of members wearing their signatures posting literally worthless piece of shit just to complete their post requirement or to have a incentive with their bounty reward.
2620  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Emmer Spearheads Groundbreaking Legislation to Support Blockchain Technology... on: October 03, 2018, 05:45:58 PM
Even though Tom Emmer is a republican and he has the advantage of being part of the majority in the congress I still see that these bills will still have a long journey before at least one of them officially becomes a law. I just remember that a lot of the members in the congress in both of the parties are against cryptocurrencies without any good reason at all and Tom Emmer and his team will need to make this as their main responsibility in changing their minds in order for the vote to be in favor to them.
