1601  Other / Meta / Re: Banned, without any reason whatsoever. Help! on: July 22, 2019, 07:42:19 PM
Nice trolling from you'll guys. I guess its easier to bash someone when he is down instead of giving a hand. Thanks for the "help".

I guess its much easier to stray away from the main discussion by just pointing out people making fun of your own wrong doing. Didn't the other members before mjglqw pointed out the reason you got banned? Just like what other plagiarizers who got banned, you plagiarized several posts yet you are handpicking what posts to reply with just for you to have a point. You can't blame them from trolling a plagiarizer because you yourself are violating the forum rules, you don't really need to expect that you will receive some kind of respect here.
1602  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [DISCUSSION] Candidate for the next Merit Source. on: July 22, 2019, 07:09:24 PM
Sad to say tama ang sinabi ni cabalism13 dito, hindi naman basta basta tayo bibigyan ng mga higher ups ng isa pang merit source pagka hindi nila nakita mismo na ganun ka-active ang board natin. Yes pwede tayo mag nominate but it doesn't mean that they will be automatically elected still theymos needs to see that our local board is active enough to handle two or more merit sources. Quality and activity talaga mag papataas ng demand dun and di naman tayo mawawalan ng mga worthy merit sources dito kaya dapat yung board natin mismo ang babaguhin.
1603  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hhampuz a DT member is Abusing the trust system? on: July 22, 2019, 06:32:06 PM

There's nothing strange here, I am not against on blacklist as it is their prerogative, I'm more concern on how the trust system is abuse.

Negative - You think that trading with this person is high-risk

It is the correct definition, so if you are wearing Livecoin signature, trading with you is a high-risk?

Well if they are promoting a scam may it be on purpose or unknowingly you are definitely a person not to be trusted. Sig campaigns are like ICOs before you even join one you must know what you are promoting is something that won't damage your reputation or affect in anyway your activity as a member here in BCT. Most members here just see the money or how they will get paid from it but they don't see what damage it would bring if members have been scammed because of what they are promoting. If we including morality as a criteria here then they do deserve a tag from any DT member, I know most of the time they are given the chance to remove their signatures/applications as a warning before they receive a tag but most of them act like they don't see it.
1604  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Absolutely imperative on: July 21, 2019, 08:51:25 PM
If people in America do not lobby and fight congress they are going to plow crypto into submission the way they did forex, they are going to ban alt coins and ban leverage to such a draconian extent that no unrich american will be able to adequately benefit from the global market in crypto.

I'm sorry, but the way I see it is if Bitmex has no right to legally operate and accept U.S. citizens are their customer in the first place then I don't think the citizens themselves has something to fight for. They will just be labeled as clients that are mislead to believe that Bitmex is a crypto exchange that can operate in US which they aren't. The only thing they can really do now is to peacefully move their existing funds out from that exchange before any IP blocks, or website restriction happens to their country.
1605  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: July 21, 2019, 07:47:32 PM
We're are at the time of the crypto industry where knowing a service/website is asking for KYC will make us instantly know that they are complying with the law, just by that only gives me as an investor a peach of mind that the business I'm sending/storing my money from is fully recognized by law and I'm somehow protected when some shit like hacks or them pulling off a exit scam happens. KYC is something that we need if we want that mass adoption to happen and we need to cooperate with what the government asks as to do so just like what other industries like the stock exchange and the forex has been complying for a long time now.
1606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 02:56:35 PM
~snip~

Even without that knockdown, Manny still going to win. He almost dominated all rounds except in the later part where is he's tagged by right straight of Thurman. This still a good fight with both fighters not backing down and keep on pounding their gloves on each others face.

That I have to disagree with you and the judges scorecards says it otherwise. Aside from the judge scoring it in favor of Thurman the ones who scored for Manny only has him leading by two or three points which is just 3 rounds where if not for that knockdown like I said may go the other way around. Aside from a very close fight Thurman himself outbox Pacquiao in terms of punches landed where we usually see Pacman land two or three times more against his opponent, Thurman really showed he can fight toe-to-toe against a offensive specialist.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 21, 2019, 01:28:20 PM
Not the win we want to happen but a win nonetheless. Without that knockdown in the first round I can see the win going on another way because after the first four rounds Thurman showed what he has been showing in his previous fight and thats how to catch up on points. That last three rounds for me sealed the deal for Manny's win and Thurman got really hurt in the 10th round he was lucky he got away with just a beating and not a knockdown. At age 40 and two championship belts in his weight class the announcer is right to call him the “ageless wonder”.
1608  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-19] U.S. Regulator Probing Crypto Exchange BitMEX Over Client Trades on: July 20, 2019, 09:08:30 PM
If they have a physical office in USA doesn't that mean that they are legally operating in the US?

Not necessarily. They can have an office there and still not be operational within the US. It reeks though, because I'm pretty certain that them having an office within the US means they are trying to maintain their contacts and partners there. It's definitely something the CFTC can leverage if they feel there isn't anything else to bite into.

It's only going to be interesting when Bitmex is forced to let the CFTC sniff through its userbase for accounts that were previously visiting the platform from a US IP address, but suddenly use a completely different IP indicating the use of a VPN. If I was from the US and had funds over there, I would immediately withdraw it until the storm is over. Better safe than sorry.

Well that office will be one of their main point in the case but I don't think it will be there smoking gun, they still need to prove that they are purposely allowing US citizens to use their services to convince any judge. Also they don't actually need a court order or a warrant to know if they really have clients from theit country actively using their service. Tracking IP addresses at least for the ones not using VPNs are highly and legally accessible to anyone and if they see that their exchange don't block their IPs I think it says a lot for them.
1609  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-19] U.S. Regulator Probing Crypto Exchange BitMEX Over Client Trades on: July 20, 2019, 07:27:36 PM
If they have a physical office in USA doesn't that mean that they are legally operating in the US? Or have they misrepresented themselves as some kind of other business that's why they have a case against them? Either way I have to agree with you that his argument is broken to begin with because of having an office in the USA what he can do now is just to admit a mistake and hope for the best that he would just pay a fine, I can even consider that as a slap in the wrist.
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 18, 2019, 08:07:50 PM
According to Pacquiao, Thurman is the biggest and best test.

"That's why I want to fight with him. We will give fans a fun fight boxing and a great night,"
one of the PACMAN statements lately.
He either make some fake compliments in equal with Thurmans trash talks but deep inside there's a hatred trying to burst out.If not then he might sees the potential of Thurman to give out a good fight.

I think what he meant by "the biggest and best test" is Thurman being the only boxer available who came down knocking to him. I know there are boxers like Terrence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. on top of the welterweight division but Thurman like what Adrien Broner did is the first one to approach Manny's camp with the agreement. I don't even think that Crawford and Spence have an interest in fighting Pacquiao. Thurman wants to prove that he can defeat a legend while Pacquiao want to show that he still got it so I think that Pacman is right on saying that.
1611  Local / Pilipinas / Re: STUDY FINDS BITCOIN’S MOST VOLATILE FROM MIDNIGHT TO 1 A.M. on: July 18, 2019, 07:32:49 PM

So mas swak yung time para sa mga European and American countries kasi gabi or madaling araw sa kanila ito which only means may mas free time sila sa pag trade sa merkado.

reportedly Neymar had been eager to leave Paris Saint-German. The Brazilian star is reportedly not closing the possibility of joining Juventus.
however, Juventus is not the only option for Neymar. He is also reportedly interested in joining Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
The only barrier to the possibility of Juve bringing Neymar is the Financial Fair Play. Juventus are expected to be difficult to meet the price set by PSG, the lowest is 222 million euros. That price was issued by PSG when he brought Neymar from Barca

from detiksport.com

And there is a question on where he would fit. Neymar's position is already filled in with a lot of star players and good rotation. Not unless they want to offload/swap Paulo Dybala with that deal I don't see how Neymar will go to the team that considering what PSG will ask for him. In my opinion Juventus won't bite and not try to lure in an expensive player for nothing, they already have de Light, Ramsey, and Rabiot (for free) and I think that's already a good transfer window for them. They'll have a much better chance of winning the Champions League now.
1613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay 300 meters away from crypto haters because they can pollute your mindset. on: July 18, 2019, 03:59:42 PM
Never argue with a person who only gets his information in the mainstream media or just some popular belief running around because you will just waste your time arguing on a close minded person. I have tried it before and every rebut I made was just  a “dumb argument” for him. The best way to prove them wrong is to have a successful life because of your crypto investments, watch them emvy you when you upload what things you can buy with the money you have earned in crypto.
1614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only I am allowed to make the cash and force your spineless leaders to accept it on: July 18, 2019, 01:56:18 PM
Yeah, so what if he has the ability to buy all Bitcoin in existence? By doing so doesn't he make other people rich as well in the process just by buying all their Bitcoins away? And lets say a whale decides to buy all Bitcoin of course the demand would tremendously go up and there's no doubt that we can even reach up to a million dollars per BTC if that happens. So if he buys all the BTC away he'll look dumb for making other people richer with his money.
1615  Other / Meta / Re: General History of the Bitcoin Forum?! on: July 18, 2019, 12:43:03 PM
It seems that you have to read a lot and often open, en.m.wikipedia.org
About the Bitcointalk Forum.

Early history until now about Bitcointalk.

Quote
Bitcointalk is a forum about bitcoin, initially created by Satoshi Nakamoto the inventor of Bitcoin on Nov 22, 2009 and was head administrator until almost 2011. Then Sirius was head administrator until 2012. The forum is owned and operated by "Theymos" since 2012.

Referency: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcointalk

Reading, knowledge is prioritized before doing something.
So for the future, read a lot, whether it's about Bitcointalk or something else.

I wouldn't trust our wikipedia page if I were you, theymos already said that our BCT article in their website is “terrible”. I have mentioned it in past threads already why our wikipedia's page on us sucks so I'll still say it now, its because they couldn't consider Bitcointalk posts within the forum as a “reliable source” that's why they cannot even take the word of theymos for it on saying who the owners are of the forum. Best to stay away from our wiki page until they accept BCT posts as a reliable source.
1616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc dump. It is time for some alts to recover against BTC on: July 17, 2019, 03:33:14 PM
As far as I see it altcoins just went down together with Bitcoin with the correction that has happened (or still is happening). I don't see how it will be alt season yet specially when they are still following the market leader's direction. The only time I see that this will happen is when Bitcoin has dropped it's volume together with its price dropping while other altcoins in the market didn't show any signs of effect on it, with this you will know that the traders are now switching to some altcoin plays.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 17, 2019, 01:24:12 PM
Even if they had to buy players from Premier or La Liga, they will still have to spend lots of money on average players.
For me i look at 45M as the new normal transfer fee for an average player.

Getting a very good player below 45M is just a very good bargain lately.

That's why you'll only see a lot of players coming from South America. For Serie A who aren't that financially rich or just wants to get smart in the market they just scout and buy players from Brazil, Argentina, and even Columbia as they are considerably cheaper. Aside from that their only real options right now are just to develop their youngsters or wait for top teams to have unwanted players from their side and sell it at a bargain. Can't really blame Serie A teams for having owners not throwing money for their teams.
1618  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2017 Crash DejaVu? on: July 16, 2019, 06:20:17 PM
Similar the candlesticks are it doesn't still tell the same story as before, just by looking at the chart you have provided it shows that they are in fact on a different scenario. Look at the volume we have now compared in the past. It shows that the volume even though we are at a lower bullish price shows that it's greater compared to the December bull run. Greater volume on means a greater participation in the market, even if we correct to a lower price now and enter into a bear market yet again it will be shorter compared to what we have last time.

Ain't know also why all their social media accounts did not have badges like twitter here since they had created cointelegraph on 2013 which is must have a badge. And also the facebook account, it should have a badge to easily spot if there's imitating their account which leads to people being scammed. They should verify their account just to have a badge.

Although this not new strategy by scammers but this is very alarming topics that must newbies knew.

It just might be due to their own personal reasons. Aside from directly linking your website to you FB page and giving a public phone number verified badge does not require any certain amount of likes or followers but it also involves some kind of KYC where they need to submit a public government identified ID. Cointelegraph is just a website and they are risking themselves on being identified to tax/legal obligations once they submit KYC to a certain website which in this case is Facebook.
