2641  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Approved fans for OS+ Braiins on: August 11, 2022, 12:15:10 AM
Use the same model that you use before or you can replace it with this model: QFR1212GHE Delta this one is the compatible one.

Or you can try to check the wires it has 4 wires Black, Red, Yellow and Blue.

Legends:

black = ground
red = + 12V
yellow = PWN or Signal Speed
blue = PWM

Check the Blue wire since you said there is no return signal in PWM if this one doesn't have a connection the fan will always run at full speed so focus on that part the wire may not be connected or resoldered properly try to resolder or replace the blue wire and make sure it is connected in the right position to the control board when replugging.
2642  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cannot import wallet from PC app to the android app (bitcoin.com) on: August 10, 2022, 11:31:45 PM
Are you sure that it asks for an account ID?

It seems that restoring the 12 words seed backup does not need ID. Look at this guide below

I'm not sure what you are doing when restoring your wallet from your PC to the app but what you only need is the backup seed phrase to restore your wallet.

If it did ask for KYC name and ID then I suggest you bring your backup to another wallet and try to import your 12 words seed like Electrum wallet and then let Electrum wallet find the right derivation path where your wallet with balance is located.
2643  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: t17+ killall_hashboard: *power off hashboard on: August 10, 2022, 11:13:25 PM
the problem is the hashboard change the power supply and does the same
if i put a new hashboard will it work?

I'm confused a bit what do you mean by the hashboard change the power supply?

Did you mean that you already replace the PSU but the issue is still the same?

I suggest check carefully the unit there might be grounded that leads hashboard not showing the right ASIC.
Would you mind to try disassemble the unit and run them one by one then check for any changes in the logs or if one of the hashboard is running fine.
2644  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitepaper still a thing? on: August 10, 2022, 01:39:02 PM
The whitepaper is still needed because all information you need is there before you invest in the project. Investors are always reading the whitepaper first to decide if the project is a scam or if it has a future to grow. All you need as an investor is already in the whitepaper. Just be careful on another whitepaper that looks legit and has the potential to grow but the whole thing is fake if it is plagiarized just like the other said above.
2645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Zebpay trading on BTTC good way to loose 50£ instantly on: August 10, 2022, 01:20:26 PM
Are you talking about newly listed coins or token?
I have experienced before I usually investing in newly listed coins/token because it increase instantly and it die later. So I exchange them after gaining profit I don't hold them for long because I can buy later for a cheaper price.

Anyway, your problem is that you can't able to withdraw or transfer the token out from Zebpay? Also the rate seems not fair?

I search a bit it seems its a scam exchange look at this old thread below.

2646  Other / Meta / Re: Did the forum stop using cloudflare and instead opt for an alternative? on: August 09, 2022, 11:59:35 PM
I noticed that thing on different websites it seems Cloudflare change its design because I think the old one is a bit slow compared to this new design.

There is a topic about this on their Cloudflare forum here "The New Managed Challenge Page"
2647  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com appears to be down again! on: August 09, 2022, 11:45:40 PM
This is a different issue from the last time that preev is down it's related to domain expiration but right now it seems related to DNS expired.

Don't forget about Coingecko is one of the good options you can also use their Widget converter to install it in your Widget launcher in your PC.

2648  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: send pic heart beat (Antminer S9 test Fixture) on: August 09, 2022, 11:09:41 PM
Is that the test jig from Bitmain? There might be a connection problem which is why it is stuck at sending PIC heartbeat or the USB test data cable is defective.

Try to check the terminals of the test fixture and clean them and then replug them all. Test again let's see for any changes.
If nothing changes maybe there is an issue on the hashboard related to the PIC program that needs to be reflashed.
2649  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ chip failure on: August 09, 2022, 12:35:12 PM
I use the test fixture to check the S17+, it shows error asic, and there is more than one. Do all of the chips shown need to be replaced? Or is it just one chip failure that affects other chips?

I suggest you check them one by one chips that you see some errors if you don't know how to locate and test them there is a guide on ZeusBTC that will help troubleshoot and repair the whole  s17+ hashboard.

You can follow the guide from this link "Antminer s17 plus Hashboard Repair Guide" Or download the repair guide here https://www.zeusbtc.com/articles/information/182-antminer-s17-manual-download
2650  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ADVICE -Can not upgrade to s9_Web_Package_(BraiinsOS+) -Cannot Find Signature!!! on: August 09, 2022, 12:14:09 PM
Failed..

I flashed the image to SD card, inserted it/moved JP4 for flash to NAND, i did not get two flashing LEDs, although it was showing Brainsos.
 when logged in.

I presumed it had flashed anyway so removed SD and jumper back to boot from NAND and it booted back to the old 2019 FW!!

What a pain, plus it only had 2 pools for entry and would not let me add a third after continually rebooting BMminer.

Totally unreliable imo.

It shouldn't be booted on the web if you did download the correct file image. I guess that you downloaded a web version where you can access BraiinsOS while the JP4 is moved/jumped to another side.
You should use the right image if you want to flash it into Nand.

Would you mind to try the firmware from this link https://feeds.braiins-os.org/20.09.1/ the one with the name s9 SD?
2651  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Braiins OS+ nor Asic.to working on S19J Pro on: August 09, 2022, 12:07:11 AM
do you risk damaging the hashboard, because it is working, just not with Braiins os.

You can just dump them before you replace/reflash them with a known working PIC file so that, you can revert it back to the original state if it is not working well.

Just make sure that you have a working s19j pro PIC file if you don't have an extra s19j pro then you maybe need to request with someone here on the forum who have the same unit.
2652  Economy / Services / Re: 1000 USD bounty for whoever helps me get my money back on: August 08, 2022, 11:55:15 PM
No one here can able to help you with sending the wrong coin/token to your exchange account.
The exchange support is the only one that could help you with your token but according to the Kucoin article here https://www.kucoin.com/news/en-deposit-to-wrong-address
It is gone forever and they can't do anything.

Since you already contacted them and they said that they will recover your token once the token is already listed on their platform. Why not contact the developer of that token and try to request to add this token to Kucoin?

What exactly is the token are you talking about?
2653  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: mine a Bitcoin on: August 08, 2022, 11:28:16 PM
I want to buy a mining machine. Do you have any recommendations?
Check Canaan units it seems they are selling cheaper right now compared to Bitmain.
And also if you are a newbie at least read this sticky thread here "First time/Small miner reference for getting started"

How long does it take a state-of-the-art mining machine to mine a Bitcoin? Huh

Depending on so many things if you talking about the whole Bitcoin you won't be able to mine 1 BTC with a single miner you need 8PH/s to be able to mine 1 BTC every month.
2654  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: new Apollo miner keeps disconnecting from WIFI on: August 08, 2022, 10:56:28 PM
I guess it's due to a weak signal or there are many people connected on the same Wifi, most of the wifi modem(If it was from an internet provider) only allows 3 devices.

So if you don't want to keep disconnected then a direct connection through an Ethernet cable is the best. Or maybe buying a router can improve your wifi connection in your house.
2655  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is Asic miner more friendly right now on: August 08, 2022, 11:47:35 AM
Take note ASIC units are power hungry compared to mining with GPU if you are planning to mine with ASIC you need to be prepared so I suggest you read this "First time/Small miner reference for getting started."

Both GPU and ASIC miners support Bitcoin's proof-of-work SHA256 algorithm, but ASICs are more efficient.

Mining with GPU is no longer profitable and it can no longer mine BTC maybe years ago it can still mine BTC SHA256 algo but right now GPU is no longer supported. Unless you talking about mining on Nicehash and paying you in BTC you are not mining directly with BTC you are paid due to hashrate rentals on Nicehash.

2656  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Braiins OS+ nor Asic.to working on S19J Pro on: August 08, 2022, 11:21:48 AM
It should detect as x19 since your miner is s19j pro. If it detects different according to BraiinsOS documentation it is due to EEPROM corruption of your 3 hashboard.

There is a way to fix this if your EEPROM is corrupted you can flash the hashboard with the correct EEPROM the only problem is that you will need a known working hashboard where you can dump the PIC file and use that file to flash that 3 corrupted hashboards. And also you will need a tool called PICKit3 to flash them.

If you want a guide check this link below

2657  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I don't understand the seed management on Electrum on: August 06, 2022, 11:50:46 PM
If you are randomly guessing 12 seed phrases you have 0 chance and 0 luck to get a wallet with funds you have more chance of winning on the lottery than trying to brute-force a 12 words seed.

Unless you are trying to brute-force a wallet with missing 1 to 4 words you have more chance to recover your own wallet by using some software like the one mentioned above.
But you can also use this tool "The FinderOuter, a bitcoin recovery tool"
2658  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: t17+ killall_hashboard: *power off hashboard on: August 06, 2022, 10:57:57 PM
It seems that you have a bad PSU because you get the first error when the miner is trying to calibrate the PSU here's the logs that I'm talking about below

Code:
2022-08-02 03:41:44 driver-btm-api.c:2261:get_calibration_voltage: calibration voltage flag is error data.
I'm not sure what the logs means but according to the log above it is error data.

Would you mind checking the PSU first if it is connected properly or replug all PSU cables and test it again?

If nothing changes if you have extra PSU try to replace it to test.

Also, if all suggestions do not work above then don't forget to try to flash it through an SD card and upgrade it to the latest firmware. There are some reports that they solve this issue by flashing their units through SD card and upgrading it to the latest version or they flash the unit with a different OS.

So try to do software first before touching any hardware because if you don't have knowledge of disassembling the unit the issue might get worst.
2659  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: From hot to cold storage on: August 05, 2022, 11:45:39 PM
It is still a hot wallet if you just generate your wallet while your laptop or Macbook is connected to the internet and just recently turn the internet off or are you trying to import the same backup seed phrase/private key into other devices which is offline.

It won't ever be called cold storage you should generate an offline wallet in the laptop/macbook that is no internet connection in the first place and only a master public key is what you need to bring outside from your cold storage and import it to a device that is connected to the internet to monitor your wallet balances and to create unsign raw transaction.
2660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading then switching currencies on: August 05, 2022, 11:32:38 PM
Why would you hold ETH for the long term if you see the price is going down? That is why there are limit orders on Binance to avoid losing or making a profit instead of losing.
And almost all crypto depends on the Bitcoin price movement so it depends on the market if you are going to buy other coins or stay holding ETH.

Since your trading strategy is scalping then you can only play on active trading but stay with stable coins as suggested above because trading with Coins to Coins has a huge difference compared to playing Coins to Stablecoins. Bitcoin/USDT/USDC or ETH/USDT/USDC and any top 10 coins on the Coingecko/Coinamarketcap are active tradings that good in scalping.
