This Friday there will be Bellator 281. This event will be interesting due to two fight. Michael Page vs Logan Storley. I am not familiar with Storley, but I am sure everyone knows Page. And Lyoto Machida (former lightheavy weight UFC champ) vs. Fabian Edwards (just a meat with two losses in last two fights). I think a bet on Machida will be an easy money. Be careful with Machida. He's on a three fight losing streak and he isn't the same guy we enjoyed watching years ago. He's kinda slow now. The foot work is as good for a round and no more starting around the middle of R2. Even though the other guy is on a two fight losing streak himself, he's younger at 29 years old while Machida is 43, Edwards also has a 5 inch reach advantage. And he's the crowd favorite as the event is happening in England. That's huge. The atmosphere and crowd in England hits different.

Mercedes is hiding they did a thing in the gray area of the regulation
I've not seen any suggestion that Mercedes have broken the rules, what is the illegal (or grey area) thing that they're doing? Max won, and Redbull was stronger overall.
Good results for Mercedes but they are using a grey area of the new rules, if they will be ok others team will copy it.
The track after all was not so bad, overtakes were possibile.
I'm still not sure what you're alluding to. I assume I'm missing something, but I've not seen anything about Mercedes breaking or bending the rules. What is it they're doing? Anyway, I don't think it was a good result for Merc after the promise they showed on Friday. I'd certainly agree that RB had the strongest package here, and a Max win was almost inevitable... although Leclerc probably needs to get his elbows out a bit and fight even if the other car is faster. Exactly. Imagine this, if it were Lewis Hamilton who was driving in that Ferrari what does everybody think can happen? It's gonna be a war from the first lap on and it could even happen possibly like at Silverstone last year. Lolol. It was fun to watch while it lasted. Anyway so it seems like Red Bull or should I say Newey changed his philosophy for their cars in 2022. He went for a design that's faster in the straights and slower at the corners. It's because the Honda power units are faster than what they had in the past with those Renault engines. So yeah.. Somebody mentioned RBR was faster in the straights, slower at the corners a couple of months back. I said no. But he's right, I'm wrong. Sorry...

^ I think it's still gonna be Makhachev vs somebody and the winner gets to face Olivera for the vacant title. So essentially it's still the same outcome and from Oliveira's pov, it's as if he's still fighting for his own belt. Which it really is at every championship match.
But all in all, if it were up to me I'd skip Makhachev vs somebody and go straight to Oliveira vs Makhachev. I think Makhachev is ready. He's been asking the UFC for it but they won't budge.
If it's Makhachev vs somebody, it has to be against Dariush. Anything besides that makes no sense and he should go directly to Oliveira. If it was up to me (and it's not XD), I wouldn't go for a fight between two of the top contenders (for the sake of the division) but rather do Makhachev vs Oliveira and Chandler vs Dariush. In that way, we get another fight after that with the losers of both fights fighting themselves as well as the winners. Or we go with Makhachev vs Daiush with the winner going to Oliveira and the loser going to Chandler, but then if Dariush loses to Makhachev and wins against Chandler we might not get another Makhachev / Dariush fight right away so I still think the first option is the better one. Yup that was the UFC's original plan for Makhachev. And as I already said in another post, they were supposed to fight last Feb but Dariush got an ankle injury during his training camp. Makhachev was offered Rafael Dos Anjos as a replacement but Makhachev didn't bite. He would've won that match up and we'd see him vs Oliveira prolly around October. The UFC is still hell bent to have Makhachev vs Dariush tho so everything still hangs in the balance with Dariush's ankle. Lol. Here's my lottery ticket for the event. Cutelaba - Grant 1.90 Add: Chook - Maximov - Araujo 7.29 Add: Blachowicz - Hill 40.41 Add: Tatsuro - Torres 94.24 Add: Nascimento - Patrick 564.89 And here's jeremypwr's Multi Master... Enjoy! Beneil Dariush wasnt active for a long time. There is still unsettled business between Dariush and Makhachev. Dariush is on a series of 7 wins. He has identical rights to fight Oliveira as Makhachev. They could fight this summer, it will be enough for both to prepare. Stats shows, that fighters have usually 1-2 fight per year. Makhachev had his first in February, Olivera had first in May, Dariush last time fought last year, Gaethji got one fight also, Poirier fought in 2021. Makhachev vs Dariush Gaethji vs Poirier Olivera will fight the winner of this pairs. I don't mind Makhachev vs Dariush. I would love to see how Makhachev fares vs a grappler. But yeah.. They were supposed to fight last Feb but Dariush had an ankle injury he got during training. The last thing I heard was it's still up in the air when Dariush is cleared to fight again. I guess get McGregor to fight Makhachev? Lol. Looking at the match ups, it looks like there are some decent underdogs in there. And it's a decent event.. Good enough for a fight night.

So it looks like BTC is still the prime mover of the whole market. A lot of ETH heads were thinking that the merge with the beacon chain could get some action back and somehow get some wind behind the sail for a move up. But I'm not so sure with the bad economic outlook. People won't want to gamble in internet coinz if they really have to scrounge their way to make a living. It could be hard times ahead... For the next couple of years at least before TPTB opens the tap again.

Manchester City emphatically defeated Newcastle United to move back on top of the premier league. Both Liverpool and Manchester City have just three more games to play but Manchester City are ahead by 3 points and now they have a superior goal difference too by +4
ManCity was able to heal the wounds of defeat from Madrid, and with this result, the city re-take the top position from Liverpool. Hard for Newcastle to hold the city attacker inside the defense. The ball position is almost 75% leaning toward Manchester, all attackers like a storm to the penalty box. A premier league title is 1 hope, I believe they will try to hold it until the last week. Maybe in the last 3 matches only west ham which I think is enough hard to get the win, because in the last 2 matches (H2H) at West Ham's home all result is drawn which I think will be the same for the next. Oh no way. Lmao. Trust me, the wounds are still def there. All the negative feelings they seemed to use to their advantage and Man City played Newcastle like they owed them money. But it's good to see them jump right back in there and show everybody that their rivals need to out work them to win the EPL trophy. I would've been fun to see Klopp win all 4 cups in one season tho. And I wonder what's gonna happen to Chelsea... Maybe out of the top 4 next season? City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal might be next season's top 4 imho.

In May? Most probably not because even if the market manipulation stopped right now and price didn't drop more, it would still take a long time for the same weak hands who have been panic selling to regain confidence and stop panic selling* and for price to go above $40k.
For now we are going to continue seeing the struggle specially as the weak Western economy slowly falls apart.
* The problem with panic sell is that even if it is no longer happening, it could resume when price goes a little higher because some newbies are waiting for a little rise to panic sell so for example if price were to recover from $35k to $38k these newbies would start their panic sell and prevent the momentum from shaping which is why I think it takes longer than that for their effects to go away.
^ Yup sell the bounce. And it's not just the 'newbies' and regular guys like us. A lot f traders with stuck longs will be taking it as a chance to get off BTC too and hold most of the stuff in their accounts in fiat too. It's just the nature of the beast and you gotta admit it's really the right move. I mean if they're just here to trade and make some money... Which they are. Lol. Anyway yeah, it's better now than later. It was all going to happen eventually anyway.

It was mostly a boring race except for the start when Verstappen got Sainz's position right off the bat then Leclerc's position to get first. Sainz was weak. He should've done a better job in defending his own position in order to defend Leclerc and have his team win the race. But props to Verstappen. He shows every race that he wants it more. Hope for a better race on the next one.
Did Verstappen lead all the laps? I wasn't paying attention anymore after the 15th lap or so. Anyway here are the results.

Here's the monthly chart. It's pretty clear that it is not looking good rn but then again we've seen these spots with BTC before a lot of times when it all looks bad til it's not. You guys think the bulls will come back at least for this month and get the price to go above at least 40k again or are we in bear territory? I see some people in these parts saying we're not in a bear market yet. But dunno.. would like to hear from them again.

Namajunas was the pie shitter of the event. Was the huge favorite, looked good as a parlay piece, 'sure winner' somewhat but then costs a lot of people a lot of parlay tickets. I would have won three tickets if not for her. But who would've known this to happen..? -_- I won the top ticket to win back my 20 and break even for the event tho. So I'm not too sad, I got money for the next one. And I think Ferguson is done. He should be retired and not allowed to fight anymore. Too tough for his own good.

Brentford vs Southampton Crystal Palace vs Watford Brighton and Hove Albion vs Manchester United
Manchester United should win against Brighton unless there are any surprises and I doubt that even if Manchester United loses we can call it a surprise at this stage. They should be. Brighton hasn't won a home game since Boxing Day. Lol. They've been 4 losses and 4 draws in their last 8 home matches. And United has won all of their last three away matches against Brighon. So yeah... It should turn out well for these guys. Anyway, does anybody else think Newcastle could get something in their match against Man City? After City losing the way they did in the CL, it kinda feels like they'll be bringing some of the negative vibe over in their next match in the EPL... Dunno. And there's a lot of pressure with Liverpool just a point behind them. Edit: Aaand as I type this Brighton gets one in. Lmao. 1 - 0.

What do you guys think of this for a plot twist for the 2023 season? Lewis Hamilton retires at the end of this season and Mercedes declares Russell to be their first driver but is left without a second driver. Hmmm... Toto Wolff is looking at the F1 roster and wonders who's contract expires at the end of the 2022 season. He has to be experienced and be willing to play second fiddle but at the same time can win a race in case Russell has his hands tied... In comes *drum roll* Vettel! Toto Wolff says 'and he's German! Perfect!'. Possible outcome?

^ A case could be made for Oliveira now as there's value going in for him from being a big favorite to just a slight favorite. But yeah, I still think he's the pie shitter of the event. I just feel like Gaethje throw an uppercut in there and knock Oliveira out. The guy is kinda chinny... He was dropped by Poirier and Chandler before that. Gaethje could do it too. Not too confident tho. I put him at my bottom ticket.
Here were the weigh in results.
Charles Oliveira (155.5)* vs Justin Gaethje (155) Rose Namajunas (115) vs Carla Esparza (115) Michael Chandler (156) vs Tony Ferguson (155.5) Mauricio Rua (205.5) vs Ovince Saint Preux (205) Donald Cerrone (155.5) vs Joe Lauzon (155.5) Andre Fialho (170.5) vs Cameron VanCamp (170) Randy Brown (170.5) vs Khaos Williams (170) Macy Chiasson (145.5) vs Norma Dumont (146.5)* Brandon Royval (125.5) vs Matt Schnell (125.5) Blagoy Ivanov (253.5) vs Marcos Rogerio de Lima (258.5) Danny Roberts (170.5) vs Francisco Trinaldo (170.5) Tracy Cortez (125.5) vs Melissa Gatto (125) Kleydson Rodrigues (125.5) vs CJ Vergara (126) Ariane Carnelossi (115.5) vs Loopy Godinez (115) Fernie Garcia (135.5) vs Journey Newson (135.5)
*Missed weight
Anyway, it's a good thing the main event is still on. It would suck for the fans who already paid for their tickets, PPV's and those who made the trip to Arizona. If both fighters want to fight then they should fight. I just wanna make my bet and watch them sling leather.

^ I think we have to give credit to Ancelotti. If you watch the match again it looked like he anticipated Pep's move in getting Kyle Walker out for Zinchenko by taking out Kroos for Rodrygo a couple of minutes before. With Zinchenko in, Cancelo had to move to the right since Zinchenko can only play at the left and he was assigned to track Rodrygo but he isn't as fast and intelligent as Cancelo. And if you noticed, taking out Modric and Casimero for Asensio and Camavinga changed the texture of the game. Real Madrid was then straight out applying constant pressure on City for the final minutes of that match.
I'm not sure if Ancelotti had an idea on Walker not being able to play 90 minutes tho. So getting Rodrygo in then Pep getting Walker out was prolly coincidence. But if Ancelotti did have an idea and did anticipate it then the move was pure genius.

^ Love them or hate them all we should care about is that the fighters throw leather and for the UFC to put up good match ups for us to put some action on. The day that stops happening is the day the UFC starts losing its competitive edge. It's just too bad there's no MMA organization that comes close to the UFC and really compete vs the UFC. Dana White is setting the bar up for everybody else.
I wouldn't necessarily agree that no one comes close. If we take the whole of the UFC fights, a ton of them are no different than Bellator fights, and ONE has some great events and fights with overall excellent production quality. I get what you are saying, but it's just we are conditioned to value the UFC more due to their longevity and just the sheer amount of fights they put out (and I personally have a bunch of issues with that). Oh c'mon... Lol. The UFC's roster has better fighters and guys who are at the top of the game. I won't even argue about it even after anybody replies to this post. Bellator is the B league. Kinda like the Championship division in English football. But I get it, outside the top 20 a lot of the matches sometimes get sketchy. And judging from optics alone I think ONE is a lot more fun to watch than Bellator imho. The guys over there are faster and more intent to KO the other guy for some reason. Edit: Looking at the lines rn. Surprisingly Bellator 280 matches are a lot closer based on the odds.

^ Iiinteresting... It looks like Red Bull winning Imola kinda got Ferrari on their toes and caused them for the engine change earlier than expected. I read some articles that they were going for two new power units at the Spanish GP. They prolly didn't think Verstappen would have the pace he had during the race. I mean he was suprisingly fast. It was unexpected if we consider the 'ok' performance at quali. Edit: FP1 and FP2 is today! For some reason I thought it was gonna be next week.

^ Def the winner of Makhachev vs Dariush. But let's face it, it's gonna be the Khabib protege. It's going to be a good match up with both negating each other's skills.
It also appears that there is again another very underestimated fighter hehehe. Everyone is cheering for Thug Rose, however, we have forgotten that the wrestler Carla Esparza has defeated thug Rose before. This was many years ago and there might be improvements on Rose, however, we have witnessed during Rose vs. Weili that there might not be improvements in wrestling for Rose. Weili made 5 takedowns during that fight. Carla Esparza might make more takedowns and have more time in controlling Rose on the ground.
Uh... -_- Jfc I got Namajunas in my second from the top ticket... I wouldn't give your post much weight if you didn't get the Yan vs Sterling match right to the dot. It was a co main event too. Lmao. It could be a sign. But we'll see. I think Namajunas has improved by a lot more than Esparza since the loss. Anyway, here's the live weigh in show in case you guys have nothing better to do. ^ Ey johnfoss, do you have any news on Fluffypony's Tari project? Is that still happening? The last time I heard Fluffy talk about it was when the planned wallet addresses would be in emojis. Lolol. I don't know how that would work but it's hilarious in a cool way. But yeah... I think it's one of the most promising projects to be built in the space. Sad if they abandoned it.
