2662  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No Bounty For Newbies .. A new war on: October 22, 2019, 04:46:26 PM
Recent approach by bounty managers treating newbie as some sort of slaves is alarming, you work and few days to end of bounty they change rules and cancel all newbies on spreadsheet after using them to gain investors, yet admin of bitcontalk and moderators are mute seen their members being used and dump, if you cant stand up for us, we will stand up for ourselves, the future of Twitter and facebook campaign is over, even signature participants are being paid worthless coins,  even merit be like jamb Shocked Angry

Stay safe son I love you.
If the users, especially newbies got scammed, its not the moderator and the OPs responsibilty because no one told them to join bounty campaigns and signature campaigns. As newbies they should be very careful at doing anything here in the forum, think about it multiple times before deciding. And it's not a secret that there people that would take advantage of anyone if had the chance, and their actions are out of our control, what the newbies can control is their actions. So if newbies wants to be accepted by bounty campaigns, its euther they work hard for their ranks to level up or buy it.
2663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Telegram Crypto Scammer Technique on: October 22, 2019, 04:34:17 PM
Looks like it's the trending trick right now. It's related to the scam technique talked about last week : New scam technique on Telegram.

People who fall for this kind of scam are usually less informed, less alert and at times very desperate to get their accounts issues solved as soon as possible
I also think that having this Telegram scam topic twice here in the beginners board shows a sign that an enormous scamming activity in telegram happening and many has been victimized. This is why beginners or the so called newbies should always consider vigilance and take advices from well experienced trader or crypto enthusiasts so they could avoid being one of the fools that are victimized. The strongest sword that everyone could use against scams and evrything is knowledge. Just be educated enough about things like this then they won't be able to do anything to you.
2664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A story about how to lose everything or "happy" 2019. on: October 22, 2019, 04:27:38 PM
The story of how to lose everything. On a typical January evening, my friend persuaded me to buy some bitcoin. I resisted for a long time but decided to buy 0.4 bitcoin. In order not to bother with wallets and keys, I decided to bitcoin on the exchange. The course did not change much and I did not follow him.
Everything would be fine, but in May I dived incorrectly and broke my neck. June 16, I came home from the hospital.
The surgery and treatment nearly emptied my pocket.
I decided to sell bitcoins and transfer money for rehabilitation. And then I realized that this year I have more and more luck every day, because my exchange is cryptopia.co.nz
Maybe someone will tell if there is a chance to return these 0.4 bitcoins faster. Thank you all for the advice.
First things first, you shouldn't do anything inside the cryptospace for the reason of being persuaded and convinced by anyone, you're putting yourself and your cryptos in a very big risk.
You should always consider studying the market cap and the charts so you will be able to recognize trading opportunities if ever you're trading and spot downsides so you'll kmow if you're gonna make an action or not. Doing something inside the crypto space without an intensive learning and study about anything the easiest way to lose everything in 2019
2665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin's Weak Points on: October 22, 2019, 04:17:23 PM

We are always talking here the many benefits, advantages and power of Bitcoin, but we know that for every coin there are always two sides. Bitcoin, am sure, also have its own many weak points that may or may not need some good attention or focus.

Please share here some weak points of Bitcoin that you know and feel...let's discuss them one by one and see how solutions can be applied into them.
We can never have the best of both worlds, the world requires balance that's why things needs to have their advantage and disadvantages, the bad and good side, the pros and cons and this also applies to bitcoin but that doesn't mean that will define bitcoin and will change the minds of crypto enthusiasts that uses it.
Well bitcoin's decentralization is obviously a good thing and counts as a disadvantage, a pro, and a good side of bitcoin but this exact feature has the disavantage, the con, and bad side, for the the decentralization is what makes the cryptocurrency free from the control of the government, the government won't be able to do anything once you lose your coins through scams and fakes for they don't have the control over it.
2666  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IMPORTANT NEWBIES ADVICE! For your own safety! on: October 22, 2019, 03:49:08 PM
NEVER LET UNKNOWN ENTITIES CONNECT TO YOUR PC WITH REMOTE CONTROL LIKE TEAM VIEWER.

Risks are enormous and could lead to total loss of your funds and/or compromise your data permanently.

Stay aware, stay safe.  Smiley
Never ever give your trust easily especially online. Be careful with downloading applications and sites for they might be fake and might be packaged with viruses, trojans and other malwares that could cost you a lot because these could collect your info's and  steal whatever they can get and worst case scenario use it to commit illegal activities or identity theft. Second is, don't trust unknown emails for it might also be used by attackers to steal from you and manipulate you.
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You own a decent amount of Bitcoin, How would you increase it on: October 22, 2019, 03:30:36 PM
TBH, I don’t have much bitcoins in my wallet but what I do to increase it is by bounties, signature campaigns and I also do trading if I have spare time. For now, i’m focus more on bounty/signature campaign instead of trading because I just recently lost because of todays market which is fluctuating and it seems I lost my momentum so had to rest for a while and save up bitcoins and hopefully trade again.
I also increase my coins through bounty campaigns so I won't be needing to pull out money from my pocket but out of the profit I earn at bounty campaigns. After earning I would trade it then go with the flow of the market then analyzing when to or not to sell bitcoin. Sometimes I also gamble at crypto gambling sites, so I can earn in different way. Although risky, I can enjoy and learn to sharpen my techniques while playing so that I can win and increase my coins then trade it again.
2668  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit organizations and privacy policy on: October 22, 2019, 02:51:00 PM
I found in privacy policy of one particular exchange that it transfers data about me to credit organizations. Actually the same is true for banks.
In what cases do they do this thing? If I make big enough trade volume at exchange, say $50,000 for year, is this information transferred as well? I suppose it happens only if you do margin trading or something... don't know much about it, except that you take loans from brokers...

Yeah I realize $50k is not big for you
This is the downside of exchanges, it requires you to provide your information, otherwise, they won't accommodate, you making it seem like transacting with banks because of information providence that's needed that you won't need to experience when you are using mixers. Well, since margin trading has initial trading that makes it close to the concept of leverage, you'll really be needing to have a trading account. In other words, to create leveraged trading you have to use margin trading accounts, the created leverage will tell the ratio of borrowed funds to the margin, therefore your data will really be needed.
2669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin market dominance rising fast? on: October 22, 2019, 01:16:43 PM
Over the past months, Bitcoin has been rising in market dominance at a fast pace. Altcoins have been on a constant decline in price ever since the bear market began back in 2018. They've been the ones which suffered the most, while Bitcoin has obtained greater prominence within the crypto market.

Which is why, it wonder me wonder why Bitcoin's market dominance have been rising so fast? What could be the cause of this? Will altcoins die soon, as a result of Bitcoin dominating the whole market? Or will they still survive?

So far, Bitcoin has gained the attention of people within the mainstream world, especially since it's one of the most limited cryptocurrencies in supply with an outstanding development team. The Lightning Network is its most interesting feature yet, leaving many wondering if it will render altcoins obsolete. If this indeed happens, then Bitcoin would effectively centralize the whole crypto market. What are your thoughts about this? Huh
Bitcoin already hit its highest point of dominance for two years causing its counterpart to be down. Bitcoin's value and huge exposure in the market and mainstream drives it's dominance up making alternative coins be left behind. According to tradingview.com, as of September, bitcoin's dominance is still over 72% which strongly tests the supports and users of altcoins. We can't still say that altcoin might completely vanish, what's sure is it will be hard for altcoins to overthrow bitcoin.
2670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: October 22, 2019, 12:11:21 PM
Hi, Gents,

I think there has to be a way to create a tracking system for bitcoin. Every wallet must contain ids. Otherwise, bitcoin can be always used for money laundering. If you want to launder money, you can find a cash seller everywhere. After bitcoin is bought, noone can prove whose bitcoin it is. I think this is the only think that preventing bitcoin to become a global currency. Do you think it would worth this much if it is trackable. I dont think so. There will be altcoins that work with tracking system and ids. They will become a global currency. Bitcoin? I think never. What do you think?
If this tracking system for bitcoin that you're saying will be implemented, I don't think the anonymity that the crypto enthusiasts loved won't make any sense at all. The anonymity is what makes it unique from other cryptocurrencies, especially from fiat. And yes, I think there won't be any chance for bitcoin to become a global currency because there are still countries that are banning the use of bitcoin, if not, trying to take it down completely. Plus the said legal issues, there would be a long list of bitcoin-related crimes. So we will be needing to compromise for we can't have the best of both worlds, it could either be the same bitcoin that people preferred due to its anonymity and decentralization but not a global currency, or bitcoin being a global currency but losing its uniqueness from other currencies in terms of privacy.
2671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fully Decentralized World is Possible? on: October 22, 2019, 03:22:56 AM
Can we truly have a fully decentralized system? For example, we control our own money, properties, internet etc. If we can, how can we achieve this and what obstacles can we face? I want to control my money and I don't want my government to control what I see on the internet. There are ways of overcoming some of these but the whole internet is coming from the ISPs. We may have a satellite(Elon Musk) for internet which makes the decentralization easier for us.
I don't think this idea of a fully decentralized world is possible and the government won't allow it to happen because there will be a lot of downsides that will surely mess up the whole economy. First of, if everyone will be free from the grip of the government, so many legal issues will be raised, for everyone including the criminals will be free and will be able to do execute their crimes as if it was legal. Another thing is, people won't surely  be using anythin related to the governments manipulation that will lead to the economic downfall.
2672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 21, 2019, 04:48:26 PM
Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings? Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”

First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.

Read : https://paperblockchain.com/what-are-the-dangers-in-cryptocurrency-investing/
Well nothing is more dangerous in investing here in crypto space than your impulsive decisions and not so careful actions. Not thinking about what you will do deeply will lead you into a avery horrible situation and being irreversible is what's making it worst. In terms of external factors, there are scams that will surely take away everything you've invested. All in all, not being vigilant enough and well knowledged upon entering here is by far the dumbest decision you might do and will screw you up.
2673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 21, 2019, 04:17:00 PM

In my almost four years of getting involved (just an ordinary holder and part-time trader, nothing so great actually), I am so sure that Bitcoin can be a major source of stress especially if you bought them at a higher price and then the price made some slide. Now, I am not saying that it is Bitcoin's fault because stress in the first place depends a lot on our perception and how we are managing it. But definitely, we can categorize as a stressor at some degree.

On the other hand, Bitcoin can also be the source of "happiness" especially when the coin is having a great time jumping upwards. Certainly, there can be euphoria if in 2020 Bitcoin can go higher that its 2017 ATH. Bitcoin is known for extreme volatility and it can go from one side to the other in matter of hours and days.

No wonder that Steve Wozniak the Apple co-founder sold his bitcoin because riding the roller coaster stressed him out.

How do you manage any possible stress coming from Bitcoin's volatility?
Cryptocurrency isn't really stressful, its the activities and events inside the crypto space that has the chance to be stressful. If you're trading you'll feel more than stress, you'll be excited, stressed, frustrated and anything but then will also feel pleasure due to the good outcome and profit. I usually handle stresses lightly and don't take it that hard so I won't have anything heavy inside me. I'm not letting stress get inside of me and tell me what I should feel.
2674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He's thankful he found "Bitcoin" on: October 21, 2019, 02:58:47 PM
Hahaha! Scammed.

But on a serious note, this is what happens when trolls/liars/propagandists reach the the people who are early on their journey.

It's YOUR responsibility to give them the truth, and put them on the correct path.

https://twitter.com/andrespollan/status/1185455536084541441

This might be funny on the side, but this is actually a real deal, especially it gives cryptocurrency specifically bitcoin a bad image, making people who doesn't have enough education and idea about bitcoin perceive it as something fake and dangerous to enter. In the first place it's people's responsibility to know and conduct a deeper study and what they are about to enter so they can avoid losing more than they can afford.
2675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2019, 02:35:01 PM

There seems to be a trend not yet recognized by many experts and that is the withering interest of the people on Bitcoin, especially if we compare today with the days of 2017 and early months of 2018. Of course, we could not expect that people will always like, search and talk about Bitcoin for years. There will always be a plateau and a possible downtrend, sometime somehow.

Is this something we have to accept or should we do something about this?

I don't think people are losing interest with bitcoin, this way too far to happen. Only people who really know the essence of bitcoin will stick into it and will patronize it despite of the downsides and its breakdowns in the crypto space. Just because people doesn't search about it or want to know more about it, doesn't mean that the masses is losing interest in using it. Just seeing how fast and wide the adaption of bitcoin, be it local or foreign country, big or small scale Businesses, bitcoin is paving its way up and putting up with the level of fiat and has the probability surpass fiat's dominance in the market stock.
2676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From financial debt to financial stability- thanks to bitcoin on: October 21, 2019, 01:16:36 PM
Without bitcoin my life was a mess, I was full of stress. But bitcoin changed my life and here I am now a financially stable individual. Though I am not a millionaire but I am no longer in poverty.

Whats your bitcoin life changing story?
I really felt on what you had experience here yet I do have almost the same story as yours where I don't have a stable job until some of my friends do introduce bitcoin to me.

When I got curios on whats it all about then I do made up some research and same as yours I do start up with faucets until I decide to engage with bounties when I do find out this forum.

Luckily I do able to earn some of the amounts then I do re-roll it on some investments and trading until I do able to maintain to get some gains.
Success isn't really the outcome of your luck, success is the result of someone's hardwork. If not for the financial debt you've been into, you won't be encountering bitcoin. It shows that if bitcoin could help an economy rise from the depth of economic despair, it would probably could help an individual rise and get up from financial debt and help them be financially stable. This is no wonder one of the factor why bitcoin is named and entitled as the king of cryptocurrency, it has lots of advantages than altcoins and of course than traditional money. But it's just a matter of hardwork to know where bitcoin will take you.
2677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: October 21, 2019, 07:01:50 AM
What do you think about the project that spent a lot of money to advertise but was taken advantage of by cheater, I saw a person who created a lot of accounts to cheat and eat over 5000 $, there are really a lot of very good projects. but it is these fraudsters that cause those projects to die. I think there needs to be a company specializing in combating fraudsters. Cryptocurrency can grow
We are all being affected by the movement of the market cap, volatility and bitcoin price, and  each and everyone of us affects the market cap, volatility and bitcoin price that's why we need to be cautious and take everything inside the crypto space into consideration.
That's why it isn't surprising that this inconsiderate and selfish act will pull the crypto world specifically the bitcoin's price down. We can do something about it by not buying their schemes and being careful and avoiding patronizing scam company's project.
2678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Better than US Dollar? on: October 21, 2019, 06:38:46 AM
Am always not very comfortable when people directly compare Bitcoin and the US dollar. Although the two are considered currencies, they are both distinct in their respective ways. Bitcoin has become very relevant in recent times as a medium for making payments, but the US dollar is really far from that so far payments are concerned.
I couldn't agree more, they are different in various ways and both has their advantages and benefits uniquely. Bitcoin is better than US dollar in terms of its volatility and availability, there won't be any shortage in its supply for it is a digital currency. Another thing is, bitcoin is centralized and is free from the manipulation of the government and you can do your transactions without the need to be involved with banks. The only thing that made USD advantageous is that it is globally accepted and used while bitcoin on the other hand is being banned by some countries.
2679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, why do some people just get it, others really don't? on: October 21, 2019, 06:13:30 AM
It depends on who do you introduce bitcoin to, and the way how you introduced bitcoin to the. Not all people is tech savvy, I've introduced bitcoin into some of my friends and only a couple of the really got involved in crypto currency. Even I who really believes in crypto was skeptical on it when it was first introduced by my brother.
Well people has different levels of comprehension and way of understanding things they are being introduced to. So before introducing bitcoin to people it will be essential if we would get to know first the way how someone we would talk to will pick up into something effectively, by then we will know how to attack or what approach we will use. Second is, we need to be effective in introducing bitcoin so that we will catch their interest and pull their curiousity dive deeper, for we can't force someone understand what they don't want to know.
2680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers targeting Tor on: October 21, 2019, 05:07:40 AM

Please be vigilant, always verify what you’re downloading & from where.

@coindesk
Hackers have been distributing a compromised version of the official Tor Browser that's packed with malware designed to steal bitcoin and spy on users. Security firm @ESET says it's been going on for "many years."

https://twitter.com/coindesk/status/1185165299450028033?s=21

@torproject

https://www.coindesk.com/fake-tor-browser-has-been-spying-stealing-bitcoin-for-years
Well this just shows how ironic things could fall into places. Sometimes being vigilant isn't enough, for there are lots of unexpected things that might happen in the most enexpected ways, it will be hard to manage safety. People should be taught not to take advantage of things so they won't be taken advantage of by other people ironically. They need to choose carefully what and where they are taking their applications from. To avoid this they should download it from the legitimate site and avoid piracy cause they are committing crime eventually being a victim of a crime, well ironically.
