@RivAngE just keep posting and enjoying your stay on the forum. Is not that nobody didn't appreciate your efforts, is just that people that saw it didn't or they did but didn't have smerits as of then to merit you. Don't compete with anyone just enjoy the forum as we watch bitcoin price and development achieve greater success. Keep contributing positively as you're doing even though you don't get instant rewards, luck might just be on your side someday and your account will get reviewed, rewarding all your quality contributions in the process.

/off-topic/ Are you also in the merit cycling club? This drives me crazy now, before it was so easy to spot LoyceV's comments with this avatar, now suchmoon and you.. it was so easy when people had their personal avatars.. Sad

Everyone can fabricate a fake deal, even the payment for this service can be used as a proof of transaction if needed. So it's not that easy to say that it's just scam. Announcing it on the forum can be quite tricky, tho. It will be easy to get him if you use developed alt account, coz I don't think he will send anything to newbies/jr.
2684  Other / Meta / Re: A wave of bans: 400 yesterday, 300 the day before. What changed? on: May 24, 2019, 09:14:41 AM
The banwave has likely cooled down recent days. Details are available here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145983.msg51193067#msg51193067
It's normal to happen, the bot already reported most of the plagiarism. From now on I don't think people will try to copy/paste risking their accounts to be banned as they cannot hide it anymore. I wonder if the bot is checking the Off-topic as well? There was the place where many of the sold accounts were farmed.

2686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: May 23, 2019, 01:16:19 PM
~
but big exchanges like that always go down during surges, in fact in 2017 i remember them having lots of troubles regularly not just at $20k price. things were bad at some points that people couldn't make any trades. i wouldn't call that "stopping the skyrocket" though, because if the money is flowing in then there is no stopping that.

I experienced the same back then, but Coinbase was down only for a few hours compared to the highest pick it was closed almost trough the whole day 17th of Dec if I remember correctly.
I wanted to sell and and open a new buy position but never got the chance. The ATH could go hither if the exchange was operating.
You are right that it could have been only a temporal peak but, we will never find out.
2687  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake.com (SteveStake) is encouraging spam. on: May 23, 2019, 01:08:37 PM
I'd argue that the Stake campaign is the worst on the forum now (wouldn't have been if Yobit was still around).
~
Seriously though, can something be done apart from constantly hammering the ignore button? For the casual reader who isn't logged in, this forum is just covered in shitposts - it's terrible.

Instead of hitting the ignore button, hit the report to the mods one and write that it is just a Stake signature spam. Doing so will benefit the others reading the same shit, like you did, don't be selfish and improve your report score Smiley
2688  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Game of Thrones] The Fox and The Cat on: May 23, 2019, 01:00:59 PM
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is the purpose of this thread and is there really a place for it in the Reputation section?
After the disappointing ending of Game of Thrones I hope none of the above mentioned (in the OP) will end up like the main charters from the show.

It can be interesting info>  til now there are 98 bans in the 1000 Most merited users, based on BPIP stats.

is it possible to find out (easy) who of them take part of a signature campain?

Maybe someone can do it but I can't because the data I get is from the BPIP and they don't parse such data as signatures.

2693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where's FOMO at? Tom Lee on: May 21, 2019, 12:46:34 PM
The FOMO is not that important, it will happen eventually. The real question is at what point the exchanges will stop the skyrocketing bitcoin?
This is what happen in 2017. That moment when bitcoin touched the 20K$, Coinbase and the other major exchanged closed due to traffic overload .
I wonder if they kept the exchange open, ATH could be far beyond 20k$.

All fake my friend. All fake.

Why would you post a fake pictures of your team at first place? This is ridiculous. What man can expect from a fake team, fake project of course, and most of those fake projects end up being SCAM.
2695  Other / Meta / Re: Please disable Fake ANNs download links , theymos ! on: May 21, 2019, 08:19:43 AM
Many of SCAM ANN used Github to gain a temporary trust. I have reported many of those projects to Github, but it is difficult to judge many of them, especially those that compress files.

Can you host files with malware on GitHub ??
Have you given me 1 Merit on this topic[1] without reading its content?  Angry Angry Angry

[1] Just because It’s on GitHub. It doesn’t mean it’s safe>

I read that of course, but what I was thinking as a thread to be more like unknown wallets sharing your private keys with the creator and stealing your coins, not like injecting malicious code to existing .exe files which should be detected by AV or other protecting software. I thought that it should be some kind of protection against such threads or at least warning when downloading that using that code/file can affect your system.

some people consider as a self-plagiarism sort of thing.
"self plagiarism"??!? Huh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

That is an oxymoron if either I saw one... You can't steal from yourself! ... and these "people", well they're just plain morons! Tongue

As for our "investment" performance... well, I'm not unhappy that BTC has pumped #alwaysLookOnTheBrightSideOfLife

There is actually such thing as self plagiarism.
Here is one quote from not so long ago :
I do not think this will come under self plagiarism.

Quote
Self Plagiarism
Self-plagiarism occurs when a student submits his or her own previous work, or mixes parts of previous works, without permission from all professors involved. For example, it would be unacceptable to incorporate part of a term paper you wrote in high school into a paper assigned in a college course. Self-plagiarism also applies to submitting the same piece of work for assignments in different classes without previous permission from both professors.
https://www.bowdoin.edu/dean-of-students/judicial-board/academic-honesty-and-plagiarism/common-types-of-plagiarism.html

First: Yogg quoted himself.
Second: Do you think. Yogg need anybody permission to repost his own edited post?

if it was unedited repost, then it can be reported for multiposting  but not for plagiarism.

Regarding the roller coaster, I've considered the investment as a loss at the moment I transferred the bitcoin. If I get something in return, it will be nice, but as any type of gambling (because this is pure gambling here) the risked amount should be considered as a loss (or what you can afford to lose).
