1721  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] BPIP Extension - user info add-on / extension for Firefox, Chrome, et al on: February 25, 2020, 08:19:06 AM
I saw yesterday a new tag - archived which i haven't seen before, instead of inactive. I should have taken a screenshot. Now I can't find it anymore. What is the difference? Those who are archived are most likely banned, or those are old inactive accounts before the staring of the ban list?
Don't remember the real color of the tag but it was something like orange, right?

Now I can't find it anymore.
They're not that hard to find, see https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?id=1234560 for instance.
My guess: unlike archived profiles, inactive profiles still get checked once in a while.

Oh, thank you
1722  Other / New forum software / Re: Adding a Paywall option for personal messages on: February 24, 2020, 11:04:15 PM
Interesting, wonder whom shall we ask for new features, theymos or the developers. Is it theymos who approves all the new features (as he pays for the job to be done), maybe this question should be addressed directly to him then?

It seems most in this thread don't believe this is a worthwhile feature, so I don't think it deserves any special attention from theymos.  If others like the idea and would like to see it implemented, this would be the place to voice your support.

I'll tell you one thing, if nobody takes the responsibility to push Epochtalk forward, i don't think we'll see the forum software finished before the last Bitcoin is mined.
Your thread has bearly 190 views (far less unique ones) so basically your idea has almost no exposure. Your problem (and suggestion) is more related to the early adopters than to those like me, so for me is not an issue, but seems like a good solution for such problems.
I'm not a programmer (I can do basic C++ from what I learned from the Uni) so all i can do is to revive this section and try to bring the attention of the others and hopefully get a quicker results Smiley
Any suggestion is good. I'll mske a list, for now you are a number one. Smiley

Spammer reported Cheesy

I was about to do the same thing.
Sadly, we cannot delete posts in Archive so I'll have to move it somewhere else to remove the spam.

Interesting, now everything is working fine on the mobile phone, i can see all the comments, without any delays. Did the mods do something?

Here is the last post in the thread :
Lucy mollycoddled watermelon lasciviously, then fondled Catfish; verboten Abecedarian fellating Erie's Lackawanna - siphoning Agamotto's occasional hookah, Orion's nebulosity was excreted thru Mongoloid's maniac bedlamite disemboguing roughage, postevent kayaked equanimously Pithy River (woolgathering it is Laurentian's vestibule where cupronickel penny-farthings cycle), howlin' at Qo'noS' cat's-paw, synchronously, quizzically tickling Gleb von Bek upon slipshodding coffee that vanguards adjacent cuddly-wuddly bunny-cocks.

1725  Other / Meta / Re: Why can't I view this page? on: February 24, 2020, 02:16:37 PM
I tried to recreate the problem but it didin't went the same way.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5228137.msg53903066#msg53903066
Maybe more characters were allowed back in the day and later restricted to 64k, and if this post falls under the old rules and breaks the new ones, can cause some kind of problem, but I could not replicate it.

Edit:Wops, I got an error trying to access my profile page (not the post history one), I hope theymos won't kick us out for trying to break the forum intentionally Cheesy

1727  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just some Busting on: February 24, 2020, 01:50:18 PM
Damn, the first two accounts I actually have merited some posts, there were some damn good posts. Sometimes you see some good users, they turn out to be abusing the forum.
It's a pity to see this happening again, I though people have learned their lesson already.

You got a merit, even that you didn't want one.
So do you want to leave negative trust? Everything here is bad except that these two accounts are quite positive and receive a lot of merit  Roll Eyes But I think this is just a small case in this forum, I believe there are still so many people like that in this forum. As long as the user is experienced enough to use the information privately, they will not be detected, in this case, something too old can sometimes harm them  Cool

I have to read a little bit more, seems the Debonaire217 was kind of pardoned last year, so if there is no crossing of the word he gave that time, see no reason to ruin him yet.
Don't get me wrong, i don't like all these greedy cheaters out there, trying to farm accounts and only thing they post are one-liners, on the other side I hate to destroy accounts. This guy - Debonaire217 seems to have post some good stuff, really like the Art - bitcoin house thing (I didn't see myself in the house.. WTH! /jk) so as I said, we are not the inquisition here, but every case needs its own research.
1728  Other / Meta / Re: Why can't I view this page? on: February 24, 2020, 01:33:19 PM
Sorry man, I had this post archiving in a queue of 82 (!!!) posts, so I had to wait a bit otherwise i would have posted the link in the original post, but....
BTW I tried to quote but then it got broken ...

Don't worry, it was fun/interesting though. I've been waiting a lot and I've got the same URL part (EhvZU) from archive.is Smiley
However, I was serious about reporting, although the posts are so old..

Before that, we have to see what is causing the error so we can avoid it for the future. I've posted before long posts, which were way bigger than this one, I wonder if there are any hidden images, it will be interesting to see. I hope I won't break the server, I'm keep trying Wink

---
Edit. I can't post this post WTH, when I click "post" it stays like empty page and hangs but I have the two copies in the draft !! Shocked Weird things are happening.
1729  Other / Meta / Re: Why can't I view this page? on: February 24, 2020, 01:17:43 PM
I have a archive for you as well Smiley http://archive.fo/EhvZU

That's cheating!  Cheesy
You edited your post when I wanted to post the archive link  Grin

...Huge useless posts (2 of them) which imho could be reported and deleted.

1732  Other / New forum software / [LIST & Disscution]Epochtalk Additon Features request. on: February 24, 2020, 11:01:19 AM
People tend to come with different ideas and suggestion what new features they would like to see in the new forum.
We are faaaar from seeing the Epochtalk final release soon, but anyway during the process, it won't hurt if we list what we think will be useful to have.
Let's start :

Adding a Paywall option for personal messages by OgNasty.

...........
Will update the format soon.

Let's say the Earth is flat, then why I cannot see the Burj Dubai, Everest, from Europa?
I have some quite good lenses and I can clearly see some crates on the Moon, so why not here on Earth?

A more accurate gauge of merits earned would be to utilise the methodology of how many unique times merit is earned, not totals received (regardless of starting amount).
This file shows number of unique Merit senders and total transactions:
Code:
     1. 6568 Merit received by theymos (#35) from 922 unique users in 2481 transactions
     2. 4802 Merit received by LoyceV (#459836) from 556 unique users in 2581 transactions
     3. 3771 Merit received by suchmoon (#234771) from 375 unique users in 2155 transactions
     4. 3539 Merit received by o_e_l_e_o (#1188543) from 358 unique users in 1942 transactions
     5. 3353 Merit received by DdmrDdmr (#1582324) from 353 unique users in 1746 transactions
     6. 3286 Merit received by micgoossens (#1067333) from 303 unique users in 2110 transactions
     7. 2456 Merit received by fillippone (#1852120) from 245 unique users in 1357 transactions
     8. 2440 Merit received by Last of the V8s (#479624) from 221 unique users in 1720 transactions
     9. 2411 Merit received by The Pharmacist (#487418) from 300 unique users in 1274 transactions
    10. 2232 Merit received by gmaxwell (#11425) from 148 unique users in 696 transactions
    11. 2171 Merit received by satoshi (#3) from 252 unique users in 349 transactions

Very nice, but also this at the bottom >

Code:
32957. 0 Merit received by gwsukabokepjepang (#2536607) from 2 unique users in 2 transactions
and his merit history: http://loyce.club/Merit/history/2536607.html

BTW BPIP thinks it's only one trasaction and I can't find the second one (can it be the -10 sent by theymos).>
https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?id=2536607

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2536607
stinger has sent 10 merit (which were reverersed I guess) but the on the meritet post you can still see the 10 merit
1736  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 23, 2020, 12:01:42 PM
I posted this in other topic, but I am doing it here also, as I am not sure if other topic is active.

One suggestion/request/question:

Is it possible to add something like personal notes feedback for members in BPIP extension?

(For example, if I want to have private feedback note for specific member, I can write short text that only I can see.)

PS
My feedback so far using new extension:
It is working great for me, and I had no bugs to report.
Only thing I noticed is slower loading information time for some members

No need to double post, both threads are active and monitored by the BPIP team Smiley
I would love to see that implemented in the forum instead made trough third party setup,  ut it won't happen.

I think the BPIP it's more like a better sorting and user friendly GUI of the already publicly available information, i do not think they will implement any "private" features like your suggestion, but that's up to the BPIP team.
1737  Other / Meta / Re: Request an option to cancel a report. on: February 21, 2020, 09:08:53 PM
Normally, when i report i often use the script from suchmoon and it helps a lot to control what you report but some on cases when the i don't have the script around me, i start opening tabs (often spam is packes in grops of 5 or more on a page, sometimes the whole psge is full of it) but sometimes instead of spam you have non-English posts, you have to remember exactly which tab is the different one, or just send the repor at once. Most of my bad reports are exactly because of thst...
1738  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers for more than a year. on: February 21, 2020, 08:37:28 PM
Lately, http://loyce.club/active/ shows many new users with suddenly many new posts. This sure looks like fake conversations and bump spam, but I want to enjoy my Friday evening with other things Tongue If anyone has some time, please check them Smiley

I have a baby crying at home, a small storm outside and travel plans for tomorrow morning, I can't take this one.
If anyone wants to take care of the spam is most welcome Smiley have a great weekend people Smiley
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US DOJ Calls Bitcoin Mixing ‘a Crime’ in Arrest of Software Developer on: February 21, 2020, 01:40:30 PM
I'm not that fluent in English as you can see, that's why I was posted this here, I not sure if DoJ are considering illegal all type of coin mixers in general, or this is only for this particular case, where it is clear that those mixed coins were involved in money laundering?
How you guys getting this?
