2681  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoins - What will happens to BTC on: October 21, 2019, 03:58:18 AM
bitcoin from year to year the value continues to rise. bitcoin is a new technology that is very perfect and will be used continuously by companies and communities
I also don't think collaposing is a place for bitcoin. We aren't stucked in the era where manual transactions are what people prefer, it's not as if people would love to do things slow. The fact that the masses keeps on patronizing technology. advancements, and enormous innovations shows that there's a big chance for bitcoin to remain where it is right now or even step up from its place. If bitcoin managed to exist for 10 years, it will still exiat for anotger decade with the help of a massive adaptation.

Goldman Sachs: Bitcoin can be useful for a troubled economy

According to the report of Goldman Sachs, Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies can be a good alternative to the national currency for countries with an unstable economy.

Analysts at Goldman Sachs Zack Pandle and Charles Himmelberg said that digital currencies and, in particular, Bitcoin, can become a viable means of payment in countries where traditional money is not sufficiently provided.

Goldman Sachs experts: crypto-currencies can help the troubled economy

If the problem is the country's insufficient provident of traditional money, bitcoin would really be of big help for it is a digital currency, there's no need for the country to problematize about printing it and reproducing it to put up with the country's demand. Meanwhile, in terms of payment,  It will surely be preferred as means of payment especially the volatilty of bitcoin would be much less and will do a counter act or alternative to avoid inflation of the currency by using bitcoin.

2684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of ponzi schemes bearing names relating to bitcoin on social media on: October 20, 2019, 04:38:20 PM
I will want to draw attention of newbies towards this scam on social media, the wide popularity of bitcoin is an advantage for criminals.
I got a message from an anonymous person on whatsapp offering me an opportunity to invest in bitcoin and earn twice your investment in no time, this guys confuses you with fake chat of others claiming to have been paid from the investment, which I knew where altered and I did the rightful thing by blocking the person.
I would like to call on newbies not to fall victim on social media in the name of investing in bitcoin
If you willing to invest in bitcoin you can get bitcoin wallet and go to an exchange where you can buy bitcoin and keep in your wallet, very easy.
Planning to double your money in a day through bitcoin on social media is at your own risk there is hardly such type of investment being genuine
We were told as children not to talk to strangers, and that advice didn't get so popular and been passed for decades or centuries for nothing. We need to stop giving away our trust easily and carelessly for we are most vulnerable when we are trusting and scammers and fakes are most powerful when they are trusted. Aside from making websites that are seemingly legitimate and useful, they also use their talent at convincing and lying to younso they can attack you with your emotions getting involved, so beware and don't trust strangers that talks about investing in crypto easily.
2685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get rid of this spam junk on: October 20, 2019, 03:59:46 PM
While scrolling through several thread on the scams. example is:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5178638.msg52258020#msg52258020
Where the OP has stated about spam ICO's.

Listing on a Top exchange is not a free job its obvious that they do charge you. Now thinking on the other hand the spam project gets a website done, whitepaper, content, promotion, listing blah blah blah and all of it comes for a cost.

One would spam only if they are getting profit, right? Which indirectly means that, even after the long list of initial cost that they bare they get sound profit. This can only happen if a bunch lot of crypto enthus believe on it.

Just image how many investor might be there getting chopped with such spam blades. If there is no enough crowd to get chooped then the spammer won't be able to invest to create a spam project, right?

Is this all? Or there more layers to this field.

If this is the only layer then education is the only way out?
No matter what we say we should implement here or anywhere, we just can't stop and get rid of scams totally. We can't control them abkut their continuous making of scam projects especially if they want to earn out of it, no matter how hard we make a way to get rid of them they'll just make their way ti still make one. The only thing we could do is to raise awareness and educate ourselves not to take and be victimized by their baits and schemes. We can't control and manipukate their actions but we can do something about not getting involved to any of their scams for if there aren't anyone who buys their techniques, there won't be anything to sell at the first place.
2686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Qualities worth developing as a crypto enthusiast (Investor). on: October 20, 2019, 01:34:55 PM
@pooya87 thanks for the observation & very important point you highlighted.

Note: The numbering wasn't done in any specific order.

Because being an enthusiast is such a big deal and will require you to develop so many qualities for you to be able to handle and keep up with yourself during being inside the crypto space. Patience is indeed a necessity upon being an enthusiast for the market cap will test you and your patience until the end, until there's almost nithing left in the thread of your patience due to the unpredictable movements and events related to cryptocurrency,
Next to being patient is being security cautious for crypto's or anything that has cost has the high risk of beibg targetted of cybercrime and every way will be done and use just to fool you and get what you have. Take note of these otherwise you'll regret being a crypto enthusiast.
2687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Host-file to deal with phising sites on: October 20, 2019, 11:31:45 AM
- Never create accounts on newborn, strange sites/ forums if you do not make your own research about those sites.

And do not use the same or similar email and password when opening different accounts on different websites even after making your research, sites could be hacked and you would not want your entire online activity compromised. If possible have records of all your log in details on different accounts, especially if you're into cryptocurrency and could be using different exchanges at the same time.

Also, Have you most frequently visited sites bookmarked.

Being victimized by phishing sites and being phished is far most horrible thing you could let yourself get into. Phishing is technically the heaviest and the one that you should avoid in terms of cybercrimes for it would cost you so much and will put you in danger. Once the site collected all of your information and everything you'll be putting using your clipboard you're doomed. That's why everyone, especially the newbies, should be very careful and vigilant upon entering sites and downloading applications. I could agree that for them to avoid it, theybcould bookmark their most visited sites so if one that looks and acts the same suddenly appeared they would know that it wasn't the site they used to visit and it might be risky using it.

2688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most common mistakes made by beginner crypto traders! on: October 19, 2019, 10:19:39 AM
Really liked the article!

I am new to trading, so any simple advice helps me a lot.  I know the standards of not being too hasty and looking at it as a long-term investment instead of a get rich quick scheme.  I find the hardest part being studying the situation on my own right now.  There is a such a huge flood of information to take in.  I am trying to study the trends and graphs to see what has been happening on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.  It's all very exciting.
I really wish this thread or topic came earlier or  back when I was a beginner in trading cause I lost of count for how many times I've committed mistakes that I regretted big time and all of those were irreversible, like selling at peak prices, getting swayed by my emotions and following my excitement. This will help beginners avoiding the mistakes I wouldn't want them to go through  where I've been. Hopefully neebies will take this advices, more of dos and don'ts, together with them during their trading life and be wiser.
2689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we help improve and to build a decent forum. on: October 19, 2019, 09:39:13 AM
Letīs make it simple:

- Read the post about rules. It is pinned here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

- Post in the correct boards.

- Search before you ask.

- Be polite, however posts like "nice", "thanks", "good idea" are not welcome.

- Never, ever repeat your post or copy/paste content from the internet.

- Donīt ask for merit. There are too many posts about it.

You should be fairly safe with this.
Newbies really needs to read and know about this so they could put up with the rules and manage to stay in the forum peacefully. But aside from the newbies, Sr. members or those who are in this forum for years should also be reminded about the things the newbies should take note, we are all in this together and as members who practically know more about the forum we should help the beginners put up to their roles so all of us can benefit and will contribute to the betterment of the forum. Let us all make this forum informative and full of sense by sharing quality posts, be it based on facts, experiences, or your insights, share it for everyones benefits.
2690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Quality post really ? on: October 19, 2019, 08:49:50 AM
Great informative post of the newbies and for those who might really be wondering what they must do to have a post that has good quality content.
The biggest aspect of all is to have knowledge of what you are going to post. Always make sure you know what you are posting and members will appreciate your efforts in every way
Newbies must have the desperation in ranking their accounts up. For them to be able to rank their account up they must acquire merits and to acquire one, they must reach the qualifications of quality posting. The forum was made for people's interest and benefits, they must have something senseful to get once they visit the forum so it will be informative enough and still keep its essence. The forum is tightly requiring the members to submit with the qualifications otherwise they will be banned.
2691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I Met My Scammer on: October 18, 2019, 05:32:05 PM
Interesting (though sad) story, thank you for sharing. I believe that everyone should be brave enough to tell about scammers who stole their money, but so many victims are ashamed of being so naive. But we all need to know how exactly scammers work.
Topics like this are emvery essential to be started for it will be of big help to beginners or the so called newbies. They say that experience is the best teacher. it is indeed for you will learn from it and will know first hand how things will end up once done. Learning fron your mistakes is smart but learning from other's mistakes is very clever and wise, you won't be needing to experience it first hand and no need to experience some loss. And this thread about "How I met my scammer" will be very essential for the crypto life the newbies will be having.
2692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Data Breach] Check if your passwords have been compromised on: October 18, 2019, 05:13:38 PM
They are offering a service to check whether they have leaked your passwords or not, you just have to give them your passwords for them to check.

I don't see any reason to give anybody my passwords, no matter what they claim.
Imho the healthiest way over the internet is: trust no one.
However, it's a good way to check how good is their password manager implemented  Grin

Do you mind me asking are you using chome? I'm wondering why google doesn't even recognize I'm using an chromium-based keyring to encrypt passwords  Grin
Probably something Brave did so Google can't recognize jack shit. It's good to see their password manager works to keep themselves out though, that's useful!
I can't understand what is the essense of having your password checked by  an online platform, letting them check if changes are done, if it was hacked or was attempted to be hacked will require to give them access to it, meaning your password which is supposed to be private and only known by you will be given to the chrome which obviously not a good thing to do when talking about privacy. Although google chrome is a trusted and kniwn website, having anyone know your password aside from you is a very risky thing and is highly unrecommended.
2693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of promoted users and their shared stories on their ways to rank up on: October 18, 2019, 04:37:32 PM
18 months ago, you could make money taking part in bounty campaigns.
Having a better rank could give you more money.
Today, the profit from bounties is near zero, so ranking up has no meaning.

Although bounty campaigns is near zero when it comes to profit, we still need to acknowledge it for it really had been the very grounds of profit back then when bounty campaign is very boom and been the way for people to use cryptocurrency and discover more about it. The topic is actually nostalgic remembering how most of the members started earning crypto for not eveyone here is doing trading and investment. Back in 2017 when the bull run of crypto happened and everyone is enjoying the effect of it to their earnings.
2694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: Attackers Create Elaborate Crypto Trading Scheme to Install Malware on: October 18, 2019, 04:06:06 PM
Damn, this is clever in a bad way.
I guess that having to download the software from a Github repository can raise some reg flags and more people will refuse to download it,because it doesn't look professional.
As the technological age goes by and security features tightens, hackers and scammers also upgraded their hacking schemes and styles to follow and move together with the trend so they can still do and execute their plans. They make a trojan styled website where they will make it look like a legitimate and useful so users will be convinced to use it and once they run it to their computers it will start the phishing activity.
2695  Economy / Economics / Re: Millennial generation are screwed! on: October 18, 2019, 03:37:36 PM
First they spend more time on video games than any other generation, an average gen millennial spend 8 hours on games everyday! Ridiculous!

They basement dwellers

They deep on student loan

They no saving

They have no job security

Now they spend more money on bitcoin than all generation!

It never get bored millennial has been on the headlines since the god know when it all began.

Can crypto make millennial more screwed or otherwise? Let’s discuss!
Nope, I don't think crypto would screw millenials even more, when they experienced earning through it, they would driven more into it making them more focused into it. I knew millenials that already knew crypto and is in the right path, paving their way into earning and doesn't care about something nonsense and is not profitable.
Aside from that, being enlightened about crypto will pull you into diving more into it and learning more. Their curiousity will lead them and their aim to earn from it will dominate.
2696  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ( WAGI )Blockchain-based anti-counterfiet drugs gawa ng Pinoy on: October 18, 2019, 12:26:29 PM
Nakaka-amazed talaga ang talento ng pinoy. Akalain mo iyon?
2697  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PSA: You can buy from Shopee using Bitcoin on: October 17, 2019, 04:52:35 PM
Wow nice! Hahah.

2699  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Paano mag simula kumita ng crypto currencies on: October 17, 2019, 03:30:51 PM
2700  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Resources Para Matuto sa English Language on: October 17, 2019, 02:53:46 PM
Great! I believe we can easily adopt English language kase pinoy tayo! and I know all the hard work will be worth it. English is very important lalong lalo na sa forum na ito, and naniniwala ako na you don't have to be good in English as long as you know what you are saying and you can say it direct to the point. This is a great tips though most of Pinoy here will surely not make effort on looking this thread because of being in active in local forum.
