I'm not in charge of scammer tags, I'm just saying making up hypothetical situations and expecting a serious answer is kinda dumb.
I'm simply asking for bitcointalk.org's definition of a scammer. It's a legitimate question. If that doesn't exist that's fine. Maybe we should wait for Theymos to weight in, if he chooses to do so. Thx. Matthew didn't take any money, but I believe others have received scammer tags preemptively. so SCAMMER sometimes means ALMOST SCAMMER. One problem with the bet scenario is that nobody would have really known what to do were Matthew to win the bet. Matthew wouldn't have gotten the scammer tag, but he would have been just as guilty. How can it be argued that taking almost 1 million $ in bets without any initial intention to pay in case of a loss is not scamming ?
Sorry but all those people, matthew, amir, patrick, donald, pirate etc. are giving an awful image of bitcoin and the facts that these behavior are semi tolerated is awful as well.
Bitcoin needs one things it is trust and some form of regulation.

Why worksize 256? I have never seen a larger than 128 worksize do anything positive unless it was on a 7900 series card....

you should always have a backup pool set up....
use cgminer and you can easily set up a backup..

Well you would need to reach close to 950mhz to reach over 300mhash/s I have a handful of 5830's and I believe their clocked @ 950 getting around 300mhash/s

I have a Antec 620watt High Current Gamer Modular power supply running 4 x 5850's without issue.... The PSU is hardly getting warm..... Has been running fine for about 4 days now..... I was planning on putting two of them together but I tried 1 and it seems fine |
