2741  Economy / Economics / Re: The Country Cryptocurrency vs Bitcoin on: April 27, 2021, 09:39:18 AM
It baffles me how some of this institution think they can replace bitcoin by creating shitcoin with a central authority that depend and belong to a particular country. Its a dead on arrival.  Grin

i don't think most of those who keep creating altcoins (including any big companies like Facebook) are trying to replace bitcoin because they know it is impossible. what they are doing is trying to not be left behind as the revolution of bitcoin continues to take over the world.

Also most of institution or government who tries to make their own version of cryptocurrency whether centralized or decentralized by default are trying to create userbase or further expand the reach of their currency. Just imagine a country that creates a CBDC, their cryptocurrency in form of paper money? no one cares but if it's digitalized and somewhat take advantage of blockchain technology making it fancy being called CBDC? maybe it could attract people.
It's just matter of further expanding their interests through the use of blockchain technology despite all the shortcomings they may face in the future because most of them are made to be centralized.
2742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria's SEC says central bank's crypto ban disrupted the market on: April 27, 2021, 08:13:54 AM
If they so afraid they should've made CBDC to compete with it like any other countries has proposed to but they choose to isolate themselves from this technology. At least the countries that still allow crypto could gain taxes if taken advantage properly and now people in nigeria choose P2P that's a potential loss for the country's income and just making it left unmonitored.
Best course of action is just to allow it like it was before and they could start to build system that allows them to tax and monitor the crypto users there if they really intend to take things in their control.
2743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell in May and Go Away. What do you think? on: April 27, 2021, 06:43:44 AM
From the graphic it seems the red market distributed evenly and not necessarily gonna happen in may until october so I doubt its gonna be a good idea, not to mention the recent dump happens in april which means this year around red market gonna be counted in april and who knows in may till october there gonna be more bullrun than before. I'm pretty sure that this year the bullrun market gonna amounts more than the bearish considering all the things that have happened to crypto market such as institutional investors or even defi that makes people goes crazy.
I'd definitely prefer to hold it till the end of year like exactly what i'm doing right now, since many people also projected that the bullrun in the current time is just beginning.
2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin liquidations briefly surpass Bitcoin. New altcoin era? on: April 27, 2021, 04:28:23 AM
If it's just doge that does that, I doubt it's truly alt era, doge got shilled hard by elon and surpassing bitcoin in liquidation didn't surprise me since it's just how hype really works. I think altcoin era gonna be really coming only if the altcons that are pumped aren't just some meme coni but other promising coins aswell.
Just wait until the other coins such as BNB and ETH reached new height of liquidation and market cap, by then we can assume altcoin era is coming.

Agree with you !! If you look to BSC, there are lots of new MEMEs Token that created at the BSC. I don't know the reason, perhaps because of the growing popularity of BSC or because BSC has low transaction cost . Not sure about this, there are still many cheaper fees, such as tron, avax, solana.
Developer of this Memes token, want to follow DOGE but most of them are scammers

Yeah mostly those are just money grabs or pump and dump coin, even it's not rare for some of the developers of such coin to pay people just for shilling.
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GAS fees on the ethereum network are slowly falling on: April 25, 2021, 08:08:57 AM
It's even 35 gwei now, definitely a good time to make transaction for those who wants to move their erc20 considering the gas required for it is humongous and now finally I can use swap platform again since a long time i've been using cex because i'm gonna go broke if I need to pay the ridiculous fee. But what exactly the cause of the gas fee price decrease though? I've heard somewhere else that the high gas price was caused by the trading bot in dex or cex that didn't lower their fee but it seems the fee has been decrease all of a sudden, maybe it's because majority of people holding their eth or converting it to btc already?
2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on TV? on: April 25, 2021, 05:47:45 AM
to be honest most of people who still watched tv nowadays are those people who aren't really into technology or senior and many people seem to consider these audiences not a potential crypto customer so maybe that's why none of people even the millionaires promoting bitcoin on tv and even without it bitcoin already getting publication from every media anyway. I think making promotion on tv itself is just a waste of money however I think company that based on cryptocurrency business could get crypto aired in tv but if it's an individual who gonna do that, I doubt there's gonna be any. It's most likely that if a person gonna make a tv advertisement they gonna advertise their own coin.
2747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone on Tiktok said that Bitcoin will go down zero if founder show up! on: April 24, 2021, 10:02:03 AM
this is pure bullshit, even if satoshi sells all his coin i'm pretty sure bitcoin will still have value and i'm also gonna be the one who buys at the dip knowing after that bitcoin gonna be more decentralized (coin ownership wise) than ever and the market will eventually backing up . These kind of people keep saying bitcoin gonna be like this like that since the very first bitcoin went public but they always got it wrong.
Also, his statement that says bitcoin users can't sleep at night is bs aswell because there's this thing called stop order and bot that most of people use nowadays.
2748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OH YEAH FRUSTATED TRADERS. on: April 24, 2021, 08:54:32 AM
When the market is in dip is always the right time to buy some but as you said people really like to buy around the top, I personally think for those kind of traders they need some kind of target for buying and selling so they won't get too carried away by their emotion.
Not to mention when they get influenced by those so called crypto gurus, it's just ridiculous how people could hardly make any decision but always follow other people's decision really easily. It's like when price are in dip people gonna complaint and how the market gonna fall down but when the price pumps they instead buying in bulk, isn't that should be the other way around? lol. I personally trying to accumulate even when the market is in dip because crypto has proven to be resilient and gonna go back up again eventually.
2749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give reasons why ETH is better than BSC on: April 24, 2021, 06:30:57 AM
I've been a fan of ethereum for a while but for now I'm sure BSC will be the future of crypto. Although ethereum is still the first, I feel that ethereum has been stuck for a while, especially with the problem of very expensive gas cost.
Ethereum can't update that fast if all the decision need to go through some kind of consensus so there's no opposition and if there really is an opposition exists that opposes the upgrade then it's gonna be another problem meanwhile BSC is like modified version of ETH blockchain having all the validators ran by the company behind it themselves i'm pretty sure it could perform better but that's just the perk of being kinda "centralized". It's always like that though, you see swap platform usually are a little bit more complicated compared to cex.
But not gonna stuck anymore after july I guess when EIP1559 rolls out.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust centralized exchanges? on: April 24, 2021, 04:54:11 AM
no, but we still need CEX. one of the functions of CEX is to disburse funds from crypto to fiat. This service does not exist in the DEX yet, in fact it is difficult to exist. we don't believe in CEX, but they are still needed today. The problems at CEX are numerous such as privacy concerns, hacking, and risk of losing funds due to closure issues like this.
If only those stablecoins have a way to make its customers convert from stablecoin to fiat through bank quite easily we could've switched to dex like completely and I will definitely prefer using DEX because my experience in swap platform so far has been very smooth but yeah, considering all the regulations, etc I doubt any stablecoin could do that.
CEX on the other hand could be really disastrous if the exchange itself isn't some globally popular exchange, like in this case, I doubt the police could somehow catch the exchange owner considering his money which amounts to $2 billion any third world countries gonna be happy to hide him and get a share of what he has.
2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? on: April 24, 2021, 02:34:13 AM
I personally don't see that happening unless we have a central government and the government takes over the stable coin. What seems more likely to happen is that some countries may choose to have their own cryptocurrency which may replace the fiat or probably be used alongside with the fiat.
Yeah, it's most likely to be the scenario when the government decide to make their own cryptocurrency that can be fully controlled, I doubt any government would let some stablecoin replace fiat, worst case they might ban it if it gets out of control but if the stablecoin is coming from them it's basically the same as printing money but without really printing it.
Many governments have already prepared CBDC anyway and it's just matter of time until those get released to the public, some might fail some might succeed it depends on the people as well, but i'd expect stablecoin to just remain as alternative or stay to be used only for trading and preserving value of our asset.
2752  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: April 23, 2021, 10:09:49 AM
Not a big deal, we still 3x of 2017 ATH. I wonder how shocked these people will be when they see how the market behaves in 2018. In every pump there's always a price correction or price dump but one thing for sure the price could go up again anytime and to be frank even if bitcoin go down as much as 50% of its ath we're still around $30000 which double the ATH in 2017 so if bearish market ever comes, I'm pretty sure maybe in next 3 years we gonna see the new ATH around hundred thousand dollars which means the current bearish is the best time to make an entry if you don't want to regret for not buying more.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 23, 2021, 09:07:42 AM
Current price even after the sell of is still triple of 2017's ATH I doubt anyone could laugh at those hodlers who bought at around the dip since honestly we're already up pretty high here.
But yeah, learn to laugh when sell off like this happening because we almost can be sure that the price gonna back up again, even if it takes days, week, months or even years. It's time for us HODLers to accumulate our bitcoin, pretty sure pomp not even break a sweat seeing the current price.
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the developments currently trending in crypto? on: April 23, 2021, 08:13:52 AM
BTC is still promising it's the digital gold after all and the fact that other cryptocurrencies always follow its movement meaning btc is the key to the market and yes cryptocurrency in general still retain its worth overtime because cryptocurrency is like a never ending development of a technology and the developers coming from the community itself and currently there's these kind of development of dapps that keeps on getting hyped up and as a result there's defi and other thing that are based on decentralization as well.
Even right now swap services or defi in general created every weeks so it's safe to say that these are currently trending.
2755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wrong? on: April 23, 2021, 05:51:09 AM
A person could be pioneer in technology but eventually can't keep up anymore. Same case with bill gate, doesn't matter what his opinion and he's already out of the business and now doing some philanthropist thingy (cmiiw) which is why he might not really trying to understand what's really up with all these cryptocurrencies hype. While elon on the other hand trying hard to keep up with the technology and he sees potential in crypto for interplanetary transaction, anyone could have their own opinion and in this case right or wrong is relative but I think elon musk just more believable in term of his opinion with cryptocurrencies in general
2756  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets taking profit on: April 22, 2021, 10:10:25 AM
Bitcoin or stocks have grown rapidly and continuously over the past year. A part of investors taking profits is understandable because they already own assets at good prices.
Their profit-taking can be a signal of a market decline or just a price correction for the whole market. I don't act as soon as the market's value falls on the first day. It takes time to observe the entire market to enter an order. This experience will help us avoid early action and big losses.
It seems these big investors are already happy enough with some 1 digit percent profit, though I'm sure their sell off are just some part of it but they are taking the profit maybe because with that they can somewhat fix the economy of their company even further after pandemic.
But it's not necessarily a signal for market decline, the demand is still there and cryptocurrencies right now got massive publication more than ever before. There's certainly possibility that the market could decline but seeing with all the things offered within crypto space like decentralized finance, etc I think it's not gonna decline that much or instead keep going up.
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The old fiat days are behind us! on: April 22, 2021, 09:27:57 AM
gold and any mineral honeslty should just be used for industrial purpose, i don't know why people keep telling as if gold is the most precious thing in the world meanwhile food and other basic needs are definitely more valuable than gold and if people use it for investment just by storing it somewhere else in their warehouse bringing almost no benefit whatsoever but danger then isn't it better to just cryptocurrency instead which has many capability that gold didn't? I mean don't get me wrong, i don't hate gold but it's honestly in my opinion too overvalued and people are worshipping it too much. Just my opinion though, don't take it too seriously.
2758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto will be a trend, Momentum for replace fiat currency in the future? on: April 22, 2021, 07:54:26 AM
It's possible to replace paper money entirely if it's CBDC that's released by the central bank of a country themselves because there's no way they gonna hold the growth of their own coin right?. Though most of crypto that are decentralized are volatile in general and right now the top cryptos are facing problem regarding the gas fee that makes it entirely unusable for making transactions or purchasing goods meanwhile stablecoin isn't really the right choice for replacing fiat currency since most of them owned by private company.
Overall CBDC have the highest chance of replacing fiat entirely even if it's not decentralized. But if it's just as an alternative I think all of cryptos that exists right now that have big liquidity is already good enough if not better.
2759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At $7.5 Dogecoin will be more valuable than BTC on: April 22, 2021, 06:41:57 AM
do you really believe that doge hype gonna last forever? just FYI in every pump and every peopl cashing out at around the peak of the pump there's retailer who just lost their money and elon's hype gonna drain overtime. Doge reaching $1? maybe possible but $3 is simply impossible, doge also hard to have institutional investors who gonna bring capital because it's depicted as a meme coin as well as having really huge volatility. Before even thinking of doge surpass $7.5 price wait until it hits $3 first then I will believe it has the capabilty to go that high.
2760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on SafeMoon? on: April 22, 2021, 04:26:29 AM
If you don't want to have the risk of losing your money in a blink of an eye then better stay away from this coin where many people have accused of Ponzi and the price right now has been dumping so hard at the time I'm writing this post the coin has dumped about 50% and if the accusation turns out to be true then prepare to lose 90% of your money. Not to mention people who shills this coin doesn't even have an idea about what this project really is, heck even they don't even know what this project is all about, what they know is just buy this coin and wait for pump which kinda stupid decision if we don't even know how this project gonna be in the future, what they know is just how to shill this coin to get it pumped and then cash out.
