3721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is slow in price? on: June 23, 2019, 09:04:07 AM
Maybe a few days ago, the movement of ethereum prices was quite slow to go up, but should this very fast ethereum movement be proud of exceeding $ 300 and the possibility will continue to increase because altcoin changes will also be able to help change ethereum prices.  head off to fly away

If the OP will revisit his post, his asking price for eth has been answered already. We are now hitting more than $300 and still going. Considering that his post is just couple of days ago. So I'd say, that change is not so slow. Extreme changes in price is not good anyway. It is better to have a gradual increase with substance or reason rather than steep climb with empty promises.
The problem is in crypto market a gradual price increase and a sudden price increase is basically the same thing. Both of them could be dumped at instant. It's just the matter of how the market behave and if I were to choose between gradual and instant with the same possible outcome I'd definitely choose instant.
3722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Reasons why IEO is better than ICO on: June 23, 2019, 05:50:04 AM
I believe it came because ICO cannot satisfy the investor's expectation anymore, it has everything that ICO is lacking and because of these the IEO is being embraced by a majority of the investors and every exchange, small and big are now doing IEO, they will also benefit from staging IEO.
Listing is part of the game when investing inside this Market, investors chooses IEO'S since it's a guarantee that the project will be added to the exchange after the sale period was over, as lots of investors wanted to see quicker results and don't want to wait for another period before they will see the results.

The thing is, investors let the exchange decide for theme, I mean if a project is listed in a big exchange such as Binance, investors will automatically think that it's a good coin, so they'll buy it like they want to FOMO on it.

The latest coin that pump AFAIK is https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/harmony/, but slowly getting stable down now.
That's called hype but even though sometimes the price just goes down after the IEO was done and listed in the exchanges some good coins could still hold their price or even making it higher.
In harmony case I think the fact that bitcoin has risen up so much in the past weeks contribute to the dumping of harmony rates just like another altcoins that share the same fate.
3723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook coin is not a threat for Bitcoin on: June 23, 2019, 05:43:43 AM
No launch, no threat. Cool

I believe Libra will receive enough regulatory push-back to make Mark Zuckerburg and his friends in Silicon Valley stop.

This. As I have said in the previous thread, Facebook has somewhat open the pandoras box, now every regulatory board not just in US but in UE as well are going to target Libra and they're going with all their might to push this project. They won't allow Mark to take over again with this so called coin that is closed and centralised.

But it was Bitcoin that opened the pandora's box, and impossible to be closed again. Facebook is stoppable because it needs permission to launch. Bitcoin didn't/doesn't/will never ask for permission.

No launch, no threat.

This is just the beginning of facebook entrance in the market, if they'll be appreciated by the people in crypto, they'll surely expand.
I believe soon they will also become a competitor of Binance in the crypto exchange side, there's a big possibility as everyone wants to dominate the market.
Is there any news about facebook opening a crypto exchange though? I never heard of that to be honest, Also I'll point out that Libra could expand if there's capital, since it's backed up by fiat therefore you need to money for each coin issued, However facebook compete with Binance doesn't seem right though.
3724  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 22, 2019, 11:01:28 PM
John McAfee, the future presidential candidate says that If Bitcoin Breaks 100k  you can bet it will break a million.
What's your point of view on this, let me know!
Anyone can predict anything and if the price goes that much then breaking the million dollar mark will be the next target, but how long it will take to reach those valuation is another story and personally i do not trust anything McAfee says as he used to advertise for scam ICO in the past and he showcased that he will advertise anything if he gets some money even if that means the project is to lure people into investing their money and run away with it.
Couldn't agree more, Mcafee is just another ordinary fellas when it comes to predicting and he can't predict the future because he's aint fortune teller but people seem to like believing in him because he's just rich. I mean, being rich doesn't necessarily means he's true to his words and can predict the future. Maybe a million is possible but no one knows what will happen.
3725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So ... It's too early to compare Lybra with Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2019, 10:48:27 PM
Not too early because you might better to compare Libra to USDT instead of Bitcoin because bitcoin is not a stable coin and Libra is not a decentralized coin either.
I'm kind of amused to people who compare Libra to Bitcoin while these are completely different things and NO Libra will not make bitcoin vanish from this world.
3726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? on: June 22, 2019, 05:17:02 PM
Nobody can actually give a correct details of who Satoshi is but what we all know that he created bitcoin and is been remembered of it. What matters is bitcoin is here to dominate over other cryptocurrency for good and it's our assets

I have started thinking that Satoshi may be a cyber criminal and this way he revealed something really revolutionary for the society and he didn't reveal his identity in order to protect his invention. If Bitcoin was characterized by an invention of criminal then it would never succeed.
To be really frank even if satoshi is not a criminal he'll be hunted anyway. Not revealing his identity is the win-win solution so why bother making an appearances.
The revealing will also mess up so many things, even though there's so many dramas going on after all it's just a drama not some serious stuff.
3727  Economy / Economics / Re: Repeating of all time high has begun on: June 21, 2019, 12:38:23 PM
The current flow of the bitcoin price seems an indication of bullrun but I dont want to have high hopes since its too early to say that.

Well seeing the progress of the market it shows that bearish trend is over as the price of the coins particularly bitcoin are slowly increasing although there are minor correction.

Its been almost 2 years since the last ath and if this year will repeat the history then its a good news for us.
Considering that we're still kinda far for a new ATH or even reaching the most recent ATH your statement does make sense. We're still halfway and even though the current trend most of people said bullrun but if it's not recovering to its peakest point in the recent years then that'll be such a waste. maybe I'm just asking too much but if that could be true then everyone will be pleased.

John mcafee is insane and dont believe people who tweet cause they paid to do it. John mcafee is a worst influencer in crypto and what he do is only pump and dump the project. I do admit that john mcafee is a good marketing but lately i think his prediction is become more crazy.
Kind of understandable considering it's a big money that he's playing with, influencing people to believe what he is saying including to invest into some project is part of his job I guess. Even there's a John McAfee's dickline if I remember where he says that he'll cut down his dick if bitcoin didnt reach $100K at certain date.
3729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are losing confident and interest in altcoins on: June 21, 2019, 11:36:12 AM
Which altcoins? Judging from the overall market capitalisation of the altcoins there's no significant data that says so much money escaping from the altcoins capital circulation, even the current 24h volume si quite high at the moment, the price going down is just an effect from bitcoin. When bitcoin is rising so much such a thing tend to happen.
3730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A mobile App for MEW on: June 21, 2019, 01:00:47 AM
I dont know if MEW already has a mobile app but if nothing like that exist, then i think its about time the developers develop something like that for easy use. Guys what do you think

I think this is very easy to use and more practical than having to open a PC / laptop if you want to make a transaction. but I think there must be a good security side too, because this is risking the assets of many people and if the security side is good many people might switch to mobile phones.
Maybe MEW on Mobile is for an alternative if we want to make an impromptu transaction. I have opened MEWconnect on Mobile and indeed the security is still good. But my recommendation, but doing transactions on your personal computer for security is even better.
MEWConnect and Desktop MEW is basically the same security-wise. Both have the same exact features even though I haven't yet to use the hardware wallet through my Android but it seems that MEWConnect be able to just do what the desktop wallet could do.
3731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between Bitcoin and Facebook's Libra on: June 20, 2019, 03:07:55 PM
If Libra really appear as decentralized currency, I think it has a chance for defeating bitcoin someday because as we all know how much "power" that facebook own to do anything.
We can also see more competitive rates in the market which mean UPTREND for most crypto !
It is obviously centralized, There's no way a company like Facebook would make a coin like Libra and set it loose without gaining the profit from.
Even it's obvious when big company such as Paypal and many others are starting to invest into Libra.
3732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate? on: June 20, 2019, 11:58:56 AM
Although IEO has become popular in cryptocurrency, i guess i will only following the IEO running on top exchanges only.
The price of the coin on other exchanges usually goes down after the sale period, then we must keep holding to avoid selling low.
That's the sole reason of why IEO is popular, because it's hosted by the popular exchanges, that's kinda obvious and if you found one that's endorsed by the new founded exchanges company then just ignore that because that'll just meaningless and as the same as putting your money on the edge just like what happened to most of unlegit ICO
3733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2019, 10:29:09 AM
There was such an idea for a long time, and I still can’t decide if it’s a completely bad idea or not, but at the moment I think that it’s quite reasonable to sell all altcoins and switch to Bitcoin.
It certainly depends on the trend, If you think your altcoins is not promising enough and bitcoin is just like an oasis in the middle of desert because your altcoins is stagnant or dumped, better off to cash out your alts to bitcoin since that's the more preferable options, I mean bitcoin could also go up as far as those altcoins can do.
3734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: June 20, 2019, 08:13:33 AM
Bitcoin and gold both the best investment right now, but bitcoin is more profitable than gold investment because bitcoin could raised more higher price than gold in short moment.
Well that's exactly what will happen to a commodity with a lesser market capitalization that could hardly mantains the stability in the market simply because people have too much power with their money. Gold in the other hand has such colossal market capitalization due to the fact that it existed since the ancient times and it's not a rocket science that gold will definitely have the stability here which therefore means lesser profits for speculators.
3735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Basic education for any Citizen on: June 20, 2019, 08:02:39 AM
Are you sure teaching kids in elementary school about blockchain because that just doesn't seems right. Most of the high school aren't teaching about stocks and that sort of things anyway. They are just teaching about the basics of financial knowledge whereas blockchain is a more complicated than that. Maybe the kids can grasp the knowledge to certain extent but such a thing will be better to be taught at the university instead.
3736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young africa looks crypto for payment on: April 14, 2019, 03:54:51 PM
There is nothing really you can do to avoid inflaiton in africa there except to save your money into different currency. Their inflation has lately becoming crazy take a look at venezuela’s inflation it is like their money worth nothing, so making movement to save yor wealth in form of bitcoin is not a bad idea.
3737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are centralized exchanges still dominating the crypto space? on: April 14, 2019, 11:53:12 AM
I think because it is already launched for long time. That is why people already comfort to use them and we know decentralized exchange make us use our private keys to login, centralized exchanger we only need to make account in there.
People are still not really into decentralized exchange simply because they are not used to all complicated and new things the decentralized exchanges currently have, it's like as you said, they are already in a comfortable zone and not seeking for any better option. However we can't force them to switch on decentralized exchange because it's just not our business.
3738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why there is so much fuss about decentralized exchanges on: April 13, 2019, 11:46:07 PM

Using decentralized exchanges means that you are owner of your funds not the exchanges.
They do not ask for KYC as well. Decentralized exchanges are still not used widely because
they are not user friendly and usually no customer service there and also having low volume
compared to big, centralized exchanges.

That's true, in case the exchanges got security hole in there the owner can be rest assured that their money is safe or atleast still have some time to recover because the users are the absolute owner of their own token and address. However it is as you say, having low volume is just really inconvenient, people still prefer centralized exchange because its simplicity and fast.
3739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: April 13, 2019, 11:02:43 PM
Invest in active project is good, Invest in active project with working product is even better, but when you look at the whole crypto market with all the projects we have, how many can really say they have a working product that people are really using and benefit from their services?
only few of this project has an active product till now, but when the project is still active in development and working towards creating a working product also is important, so i think both are equally good reason for investment.
In reality, investing into active projects is better than investing into inactive projects. Nevertheless, it does not make sure that investing into active projects will bring better profits than do the same into inactive projects. The most important thing is active projects help investors to reduce the risks to lost their capital, because with active projects, investors will have chances, so many chances to at least sell their coins/ tokens, to take loss or to take profits (in good situation), so the risks to get losses will be much lower.
That's just common sense, I mean, "Investing into an active project is better than investing into inactive project" is what definitely people will think.
Active prject will have progress meanwhile inactive project will just be stagnant or even abandoned. Most people already know about that.
3740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay Calm, IEOs aren't a threat on: April 12, 2019, 11:41:13 PM
I have overhead many people in various bounty groups talking about how bounty campaigns are gonna die should we move on from ICO to rampant IEO issuance (maybe the exchanges shall take over the advertisements or so).

Fact is that if IEOs become a thing, many projects will arise and hence the services of bounty hunters shall be required again. Every project needs advertisements to expand and that's why we are there as bounty hunters. This is the same way ICOs grew in number.

All we should hope for is a better crypto ecosystem because at the end, we shall be needed for promotion in one way or the other

It now appears so because IEO is looking like a chip of the ICO block. Exchanges now control the sales and distribution. They are Legit and less likely to loose participants funds unlike developers in ICO. However, turn out evens of tokens after sale is not different
It's all always come back to the token's worth afterall.Whether it is listed in a really popular exchanges that could probably boost up your sales. All these token if don't have that good progression or just meh they will definitely being dumped by the investors.
