3681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan reportedly pushes "International network for cryptocurrency payments" on: July 19, 2019, 11:08:50 PM
Japan raising this issue is a welcome one but cryptocurrency is already serving the purpose of payment. No middleman is needed like the way bank operates. The anonymity bitcoin is known for seem not to be enjoyed if some of these regulations comes through.
They are trying to battle the money laundering practices in crypto and there is nothing wrong with that, maybe you can say bitcoin already serving the purpose but government always need to be in control of something and they cant do that with bitcoin
3682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A SHIFT FROM ICO TO IEO on: July 18, 2019, 11:38:17 PM
For sometime now all the upcoming cryptocurrencies are making a paradigm shift in our old ICO format and trying to do IEOs first. I know it's one of the best remedies for them even on this hard times in cryptocurrency markets. I want to know that is this going to help the upcoming coins or not?

Also is it that they want to just make their monies and run away because now they think the easiest way to make people buy their coins is to do an IEO??
At the current trend, it's worth to shift to IEO. However, it should be on top tier exchanges platform if they wanted to be successful. There are still mid tier exchanges IEO being offered but what worry me most is that the possibility of running an exit scam is still there. So there is still no guarantee that IEO is 100% successful.
Most of the exit scams coming from fishy exchanges anyway, there's a ton of new exchanges created after IEO becoming more popular and they exist for the sole reason of hosting IEO so that they can make quick money off crowdfunding but their projects are really questionable.
3683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's bitcoin worst case scenario if Libra will be successful? on: July 17, 2019, 04:04:15 PM
I really don't see the why the lunching of libra coin threatened the existence of btc, they have two separate parts, libra is hardly a fully decentralized coin, besides btc is still the most recognized and most acceptable crypto in the space, so i don't see any threat here.
You say very rightly, except for the support from the government and a strong corporation behind, libra does not seem to have too many factors to become superior and threaten the existence of bitcoin. Almost everyone knows about crypto and bitcoin recognizes that problem. even if libra succeeds, it still lives only in the light of bitcoin, it will even support bitcoin to become more popular, Bitcoin has been a giant symbol in this area, everything in the back can only accept this fate and lose when faced with bitcoin
Other than that reason, Libra is stablecoin, it such a no brainer that there will be no competition between bitcoin and stablecoin such as Libra.
Although bitcoin could be in danger if there is any government that releases the regulation to limit bitcoin or any other crypto that is decentralized.
3684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: July 17, 2019, 03:36:46 PM
many talkings around this topic, but as I see by my eyes ICOs are working and even successfuly working, look some project still collecting huge funds!
It is true, that there are still many ICO that can be said to reach their targets. So it can be said that the ICO has not died for now. But because of the large number of competition, of course, not all ICO always succeed, there are still many who fail.
All the funds are moving to IEO anyways, people seems to be interested into the outcome and recent result of joining IEO which has proven to be profitable for many while ICO project is struggling even to be listed in an exchanges. Kinda makes sense if judging by their point of view.
3685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 65%, alts lagging behind on: July 16, 2019, 03:10:35 PM
Does anyone know the lowest point where bitcoin dominance was?  I recall at one point it was like at 37% at the lowest?
Even below that point, I don't recall the number correctly though but I've seen about 30% (correct me if I'm wrong) but at that day altcoins always soaring, even new project that looks really useless in practical use still being pumped, everything is hyped up until it reaches to the point where it just falls of to the cliff.
3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: July 16, 2019, 03:05:10 PM
Do not expect a lot from Ethereum, for now. Everything is coming, but it will take a time, next year is a target, but we know that it will be postponed by few months.
ethereum is a long-term asset. of course it takes time for growth. not much hope for bulls and ethereum pumps, the most important is the movement in the uptrend is good.
There is no such thing as long term asset when it comes to altcoins the pumping and dumping is constant just follows what the market think its worth. If you are looking for the real long term asset then invest to gold although the price also fluctuates but atleast gold market capital is huge.
3687  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Bankers Say Cryptocurrencies Do Not Threat The Global Financial Stability on: July 14, 2019, 10:47:56 AM
This is not just the big bankers. This was recently announced by the G20 countries on the results of the summit in Japan. In addition, it was stated that cryptocurrency can have a positive impact on the global financial system. This means that the states will continue the process of cryptocurrency legalization and we are expected by the general regulation of cryptocurrency at the level of intergovernmental organizations.
Really? because these conference was attended by many heads of state including my president and American president, very special if they also discussed about bitcoin. in my opinion, bitcoin does not threaten anything, but bitcoin improves the world economy, there should be someone who said that in that forum
If that was true, it would really be a welcome development, but I have not come across such news, I know that there was a G20 summit, but never new that cryptocurrency was part of the agenda discussed, if it was, we ought to have seen that on cryptocurrency news sites which I do visit most of them on a daily basis, but have not come across anything close to that, also if something like that happened, these are type of the fundamentals that usually increase the chance of bitcoin surging, but I don’t think the recent surge is any way related to this meeting, and I would have loved that he can post the ink to the source of his information, otherwise I would just count it has rumor, but if it were to be true, then we are another one step ahead.
At the recent summit of G-20 countries, the issue of cryptocurrency was really discussed and a statement was made by the results of such discussion, which stated that cryptocurrency really does not represent a threat to global financial stability, and it was also suggested that it could have a positive impact on the economies of states.
Such an assessment of cryptocurrency by the world states creates good prerequisites for further price growth of cryptocurrency.
Crypto will not become a threat until it gotten big enough, the global leader could say that in public but im pretty sure they are already preparing regulations or some sort of thing, even Libra is now receiving pressure from various side there's no guarantee that the G20 countries will not take an action in the future.
3688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO becomes successful = ETH will moon? on: July 14, 2019, 08:32:18 AM
OP is mistaken between ICOs and IEOs. In 2017's ICOs trend, projects used ETH's blockchain to create their tokens and then used ETH as a ICO currency. The strong demand for ETH made its price went up. But 2019 IEOs trend is different. There's no demand for ETH. Instead, it's demand for exchange coins. That's why there were some times, BNB, OKB or HT flew high. In a nutshell, ETH has nothing to do with IEOs in general. Successes of IEOs don't make ETH's price change.
Perfectly explained, also to mention that most of the IEO nowadays are using another blockchain and not under Ethereum blockchain. Basically Ethereum has lost the grip over any altcoins right now, since most of the project nowadays already using various smart contract platform that is available and not limited only to Ethereum and it is actually a good thing so that we won't face any throttling like the old days.
3689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens that did not update their Bitcointalk thread on: July 14, 2019, 06:11:31 AM
I think it is a major part of marketing and those tokens are dead for me if they don't take their time to update bitcointalk thread.
But sometimes good projects don't need for promotion, like binance coin, I don't know if they have official thread, but their product is a quality one
Most of the succesful project I know usually stops updating their bitcointalk thread after few months. They will update their progress in either their own medium, blog or private group. Although updating the thread is definitely a good thing but it is optional. Not all of people will take a look into the thread anyway but their own private group which includes investors and member are surely full of interested people.
3690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for this Trump's statement about Bitcoin. This is bullish! on: July 14, 2019, 05:23:05 AM
Yep when president of USA write about this means everything is done already and Libra will give big adaptation to crypto so this not another way than win of crypto under fiat we will and this the last stage of the war i think and will win there.
The current hot rumour is Libra seems to be prohibited by the governments there. You see there are a lot of pressure to the Facebook to stop their development of their own Libra coin, seems so many people there are afraid of Libra's existence. What's ridiculous is some people keeps on repeating that Libra will be fluctuative and risky while in fact it is a stablecoin. Those people seems to not get the grasp or understanding of Libra itself.
3691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most new ICO/IEO projects are new crypto trading platforms on: July 13, 2019, 11:09:16 PM
Well, I think some those project will eventually turn into a scam, but those who get sucessfull will be a nice competitor to the current exchangess, It'll be nice to get the fees lower.
This condition benefits traders. Improvement of service quality will be faster and more significant. It seems that most of developers see big opportunity to earn income from trading activity, cryptocurrency users more often to use cryptocurrency for trading in exchange site rather than to buy goods.
Most of them seeing the opportunity of having IEO hold by them and take the huge chunk of money. The profit from the usual trading fee is quite big indeed, but most of the new trading platform that I see right now seems to be in hurry to have an IEO. It is just about fast money in the end after all.
3692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best mobile crypto wallet? on: July 13, 2019, 04:37:48 PM
MEW wallet for mobile platforms is the most comfortable one, but I am not a big fan of mobile wallets.
Me too, because I think mobile wallets are weaker with potential threats. Additionally, users tend to more carefully with their computers or laptops in terms of their habits when do Internet surfing. And, they are likely spend more money to protect their computers or laptops with antivirus or internet security softwares
I do think that the habit of most people to forget about their phone could be a really dangerous thing when it comes to mobile wallet. Imagine having thousand dollars and you forget your phone, If you have the backup that's fine but otherwise that'd be worrisome.
Mobile wallet is not really recommended for people who taking it serious about their cryptocurrency, there is just already a more secured way of saving your crypto.
3693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Libra the future anyone wants? on: July 13, 2019, 04:28:57 PM
Libra has raised fears about the future of blockchain mainly because it goes against everything the community wants and believes in: decentralization.

Facebook could ultimately create a massive closed-loop revenue model from ads, digital marketplace, to payments. Do consumers want to bet on the status quo of existing monoliths?

https://elixxir.io/blog/is-libra-the-future-anyone-wants

Libra is another type of stablecoin according to source, but there are lots of stablecoins in the market, and they are not a threat even to world financial systems, maybe it can help to ease the transactions unlike using the banks which require higher fees and a transaction time.
Though some people might say it doesn't pose any threat to the world financial system but politicians are still putting their attention into it since facebook is among the biggest company in the world. if it is USA, I'd guess that they will definitely take some action into it.
3694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Invites Donald Trump to Join the Crypto Lunch with Warren Buffet on: July 12, 2019, 11:02:47 PM
According to the link by the OP trump thought is against the crypto currency, they believe crypto isn't real currency and it use in the crimes and with high volatility movement that some reason why trumph don't like crypto. Hoping the peower of convincing by Justin Sun later trump accept and approve crypto as legal tender in all states of America which is a good help for the crypto become worldwide currency.
Seems like a rewlly difficult task LOL, imagine sharing a table with bunch of pessimistic people who always underestimate technology. It doesn't matter how good you are at talking they will believe their own opinion anyway. But, good luck to Justin Sun.
3695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO IS WAY BETTER on: July 12, 2019, 10:39:20 PM
ieo is a good breakthrough, but I see a lot of new exchanger and low volume doing ieo, even though I just know the exchanger, it looks like the exchanger must also apply new rules
So far, I certainly see that the IEO is better, and the way is better than the other sales systems. well, you could say this is more convincing. I also know some IEOs that are successful in the market. so, I think, I will continue to choose projects with the IEO system.

Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) will be the better way to ihe investors to sped money for ICO projects. The risk is less because they buy direct in the exchange floor where listed that token they bought. With the advantage, I think IEO will be replaced ICO and become the crowdfunding n the cryptocurrency market.
IEO is already replacing the ICO. People sre nowadays only talk abiit IEO and IEO there is no place for ICO anymore because people just lost their interest in it because majority of them are a failure. It is totally understandable considering that most of ICO back then just fail after raising so much money.
3696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain to the real world on: July 11, 2019, 03:33:44 PM
This is very difficult, we live in countries, have laws and regulations. With blockchain, they can't control it.
Criminals and scammers will increase dramatically, they use blockchain technology!
You must never heard of centralized blockchain, even stablecoin can be considered as a centralized blockchain despite being crypto and which regulation cant regulate blockchain based stuff? I think there is none since regulating it is basically the same as regulating any digital payment.
3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: July 11, 2019, 11:31:31 AM
I have now some money but still earning to invest more in an IEO. I have heard celer IEO and investor get x6 of its investment. I was move away by this profit in an instant, i want also so i keep money, my question is after all good feedback of IEO, will IEO be like Ico which failed in the market or will IEO be last longer?
I personally can't say give an assurance to that, but as far as I can tell, few IEO are doing good so I would say that we could see it last longer than expected. Although some exchanges have not been doing good or have been involved in scam activities, that could be a challenge in the future

When all exchange companies in May launched their own IEO projects, I thought the IEO would be like ICO. But after a while the IEO retained its appeal, even though I was buying BNB at a high price when I joined the IEO just now, but will continue to join their next IEO.
Some people consider the high price of BNB makes sense because of its functionality though, It can be used to decrease the fee and join the IEO. Although it is like commercializing everything you have in your company for the public but people still favor it anyway because it's still a normal thing in their sense, not to mention that the IEO is such a money generator as of now.
3698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Warren Buffett hate bitcoin? on: July 11, 2019, 11:28:02 AM
Everyone has a different point of view in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the market. You cannot expect that all are pro into Bitcoin. In all life aspects, everything has cons.

For me, Warren Buffett doesn’t like Bitcoin is because he doesn’t understand the technology and real use cases of it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he focuses more on the charts rather than its technology behind it.

Justin Sun, CEO and founder of TRON, won a bid where he will have a lunch date with Warren Buffett himself. I actually met Justin twice by the way, recently in Taipei. I just hope that he would finally open Warren Buffett’s mind and change his perspective about Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
I do agree, even there are many news saying that warren buffet always avoiding to invest into technology, though there's nothing wrong with that but always being pessimistic like that and spreading his opinion is just not really good. I mean, imagine if those old people deny the existence of the Internet for the sole reason of it's not in their favor.
3699  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if the all countries convert to cryptocurrency? on: July 06, 2019, 02:08:25 PM
The fact is that most of humanity does not accept any global changes in financial terms.  A large part of humanity consists of Old people who cannot accept cryptocurrency as a means of payment and will always support fiat.  We need to wait for a change of generations.
That's just a temporary problem, as time goes the older generation will be replaced by the youngsters, however doesn't guarantee that crypto will dominate, maybe there will be a better system than a blockchain, an even better and more efficient technology will replace our current crypto, who knows? but if all the countries convert to crypto nothing will change, it is just digitalized, the money will remains the same and being controlled by each government.
3700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain a perfect solution? on: July 06, 2019, 01:57:43 PM
Blockchain has proved in last 10 years many industries are converting to blockchain based application so we can say in present time blockchain is the fastest used application

this indicates that the blockchain technology is accepted and becomes the solution in supporting activities in various industries, i think usage of blockchain technology will continue to grow in line with the necessities of the company and the consumer

It's a much better solution than using some of the fiat ways to do transactions. Usage just increases each day basically. Blockchain is really clever and doesn't seem to really need updating or changing.
For all that we have our altcoins. With all the different algo they use. A trustless service is the best service. I dislike human input because humans take time and I am not patient.
Not to mention that humans usually makes more mistake than a robot that is specifically programmed just for that. A trustless automated system is what we needed at the moment to reach the peak of efficiency rather than just holding on the traditional way of managing our financials.
