Actually this is now the main fork, after the other two died dry. BitcoinNewsMagazine one was cool but people stopped posting there for no reason, Meuh sabotaged his own thread... Elwar, good to see you around, have seen news from Latin America? Things are worst everyday, Maduro is playing a theater in Venezuela, possibly setting the right backstage to his so dreamed coupe d'état. Brasilian President Temer is likely to lose his presidential term due to many corruption accusations. His lawyers are using the same strategy last president used before being impeached. Sounds like desperation. With so many countries on the brink of collapse I would not be surprised by that desperation leading to some sort of world war. That tends to be a nation's way of covering up their financial problems and pulling everyone together under some false sense of threat. |

I am the last person to advocate taxation, but some of guys have no idea about what personal responsibility - in the matter of health and perspective, means.
It is sad that people who are actually witnessing a new way to create a currency via Bitcoin still believe that the only way for things to get funded is through the threat of imprisonment. You dodged a question. I am all for you paying for your own shit. But do you? How much did you pay your tutors and how much do you pay your dentist? Are you saying that in your country you don't pay for your own dentist like they do in the US? I am a big fan of necessary spending programs. But extortion is still wrong. Precisely, my friend. In my country, basic healthcare is covered by state. Including dentistry. Regardless, if you work or are even a citizen. Foreigners will get health care too. Aswell as social insurance and shelter, if they lose roof over their heads. BUT, blue collar workers, who make 1000 dollars a month have to pay 40% of their income to the state as a direct result  and thats before youll get to value added tax and luxury tax. That is a norm in majority of central/western Europe these days. I am not kidding. If you are hot blooded American, who walks the way he speaks, then I have nothing but respect for you. Europeans (except for Irish and maybe British) dont have freedom do choose. I chose to leave the US because I do not want to give money to a country that uses the money to fund terrorists. Not having a choice does not change the fact that the current way of taking money to fund governments is wrong.  |

IMO, there should be only one type of taxation. Where I live, we pay indirect taxes in addition to the direct tax (income tax). The burden is getting more and more heavier with each passing year.
So you should only be extorted in one way instead of two. I guess that is better. |

I had so much invested in the pre fork Wall Observer thread. Does that transfer over? Does this thread support more transactions?
As to the point of the old thread...we are all here discussing the bitcoin price but sometimes we get bored and want to talk about other things and there are some really smart people in this thread who have been around for a while.
As for Litecoin and Segwit. The price was about 3 dollars forever. It started to climb to around 9 when bitcoin started rising. Then they announced Segwit implementation and it flew up from there.

I had a nightmare that the price dropped to $300. The nightmare part wasn't that the price was so low, it's that I could not get to a computer to buy more as I watched the price shooting back up over $800 finally getting to a computer but I couldn't log in.

i think invest in bitcoin is much more safe and profitable because bitcoin price rising to higher value and we do not face to any risk when we invest our money in bitcoin and i if we invest our money in bitcoin we will be get a good profit from bitcoin in the future so i think bitcoin is much more profitable currency than altcoins.
have you just been hacked? that reads like every second post by cut and paste google translate noobs. There are many people that will buy other peoples' accounts. Legendary folks can make some decent money. I was offered somewhere around what would be over $2 per post for a signature campaign. I started doing the calculations of just logging and posting 10 posts a day from Thailand with $600 per month of extra spending money with no work. I could be like these other signature campaigners and post tons of shit posts or start arguments just for the money. But I know that would compromise my posts and make posting on here work instead of fun. I also got an estimate on selling my account outright that was over half a bitcoin. Plenty of people want the quick money. |

So...how do you think new investors will react to stability when they're expecting rocket ships? Been flat all day. Sold enough for a new (to me) car. Less than 1 bitcoin. 2 years ago I sold 12 bitcoins for my car worth about 6k euro. Now with the price up I splurged with an $1800 car. Maybe this is what economists warned everyone about how a deflationary currency encourages people to save instead of fueling the economy. Or I have higher priorities of retiring early instead of being seen in a fancy new car.  |
