2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: poker stars raised their rake .. again on: March 28, 2018, 05:36:45 PM
A couple of years ago, I used to play a lot of online poker and always on pokerstars as it was then the biggest and best pokersite online.
Sad to see the decline of such a site. I don't think it was a good idea to add casino games; sometimes you need to stick to your core business and try to keep on innovating.

their main income is still coming from poker but yeah they have more options now
the thing is that they are harming the game with their acts , now some recreationals may use their site mainly for casino and even if they played their poker the rake is not good for both bad and good players

they are claiming that they are protecting the recreational players with this move ( as Daniel Negreanu said ) but we all know that this is BS
2782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: poker stars raised their rake .. again on: March 28, 2018, 04:26:20 PM
yeah I agree with all the comments above , but somehow I feel it's the end of stars
I mean they were in the lead for over 10 years or so and now with this rake there is no single reason to keep playing with them
if all the players stood together and decide to take the decision and stop playing there they will be out of the business
IDK maybe it's time for the WPN to benefit from stars move , since ACR accept almost all the countries and they have payment options that suit everyone on this planet

even good players are complaining about stars , which means even good players are finding the game way harder to beat with the current situaiton
time to make the switch

Hey guys...  Do you have plans to expand your list in sports betting?  I think we have a decent amount of people here who would love to make bets on F1 and the Moto GP on your site.

And some UFC propbets would be nice...  And some Esports too, like SC/BW betting.  Wink

We just launched e-sports wagering in a beta environment.

https://www.bitcoinrush.io/sportsbook/e-sports

There will be some cosmetic updates to this page, along with breaking it down by league, but please take a look and let us know what's good and bad!

great update , since you enable the search tab I think there is no need to add the leagues for now
btw is it hard to code the search for tennis too since there are a lot of daily matches ?? I would like to see that too
also is there any plan to add horse racing ? since there is no good options to bet on horses using bitcoin that would be really nice or will it be hard ?

We will add search for tennis, this week.

Regarding horse-racing, we always have the big 3 races (Kentucky Derby, etc), but are looking to see how easy (or hard) it could be to add regular horse-racing. More to come.

oh cool , yeah the tennis search would be so helpful
regarding horse racing I bet daily on UK and IRE events so if that is added it would be really good since there is no good bitcoin option for that
meanwhile I'm using betfair for horse racing , so hope I will find some better prices in BR  Cheesy

2785  Economy / Gambling discussion / poker stars raised their rake .. again on: March 26, 2018, 10:37:48 PM
so was just checking youtube and found that video from Joeingram talking about the recent move by pokerstars
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1s4rJ9SvXk

their rake now is officially ridiculous , can't find why they aren't satisfied with what they are already making
what do you guys think on this ?? will pokerstars market dominance be ended with this move ??
I mean personally I can't see a single reason to stick with them when the other networks are offering lower rake and higher rakeback
2786  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Bitcoin Casino | Plinko, Mines, Blackjack, Roulette + 8 more 👽 on: March 26, 2018, 08:33:19 PM

Yeah I know we could pull off poker I'm actually really shocked with the sudden massive growth for stake. After launching it I wondered if maybe we had wasted our time and it wasn't what people wanted. However, we committed more effort towards building around what our players suggested instead of our personal ideas and it has really paid off.

it's really a matter of how we want to do it. If we want to just put standard software up we can get it up super quickly. We put a dent into our own custom version but getting this stuff 100% done with the specs we want is pretty time consuming. Sports will be released before poker but poker is a personal interest of mine so I'm definitely pushing for it. Drop any suggestions you have for the specs on it and we'll keep it in mind.

oh didn't know about sports , glad you are adding it too since I'm interested in sports too
since stake is a casino I hope you come out with a gambling idea that is mixed with poker , like spin and go or any other type of gambling
it could be 4 max for example where players may hit big prize , these are fun and easy to run also there is a possibility of hitting big which I'm sure all players in stake love that   Wink

2788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Sports Betting Exchanges on: March 26, 2018, 02:54:41 PM
Interesting list sir! Thanks for your link.

Indeed the sites accepting bitcoin aren't quite as popular as the ones using fiat. And we have fewer choices.
But hey you perfectly knew it when trying to bet with btc ^^

In exchange you get the best taxes on your gain (0%) and the best rates and fees.
I don't know if you tried lots of fiat sites but my god the fees are so high!!! I tried poker on a fiat website (winamax) and it was horrible! And in sports betting it's even worse. The odds are always 10% lower than in btc website!
I don't know if it's to cover taxes or KYC or whatever but it's really expensive!

not necessary my friend , winamax may have low odds but some other fiat bookies are way better than bitcoin ones
for example pinacle has higher odds than almost all the sites except bitcoinrush since they take the odds from pinacle , you can also check asian odds where you can pick the highest odds among several bookies when you are betting on soccer or basketball

if you are serious about betting you should basically check the odds in all the sites that you have access to
2789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Sports Betting Exchanges on: March 26, 2018, 12:00:25 PM
List of the best Sports Betting Exchanges see here: http://100bookies.com/betting-exchanges-list-eng/

Interesting list. From those I only know Betfair, Betdaq and the lat two. I'm curious on how you granted them their grade, and I found now info on your site on how it was done. It was a quick search though, so I will look into it again in the future, but maybe you could give us a heads start in this thread.
When I used betdaq, their only problem was liquidity, but I didn't expect them to be so far away from betfair, but I don't use them in a long time.

It's still quite a shame that we only have two exchanges accepting bitcoin to make bets, maybe this will change in the future.

yeah so far bitcoin exchanges aren't that active or that good , but you can still have access to betfair and use bitcoin
you can use asianconnect as a broker and ask them to create an account for you in orbit exchange or 9wickets , both are the asian version of betfair so you will see the same prices and the same volume ( they don't ask for KYC in case of bitcoin deposits and withdrawals but they exchange it to Euros )

waiting for a good pure bitcoin exchange may take a lot of time
2790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Need to Do Before Choosing a Tipster on: March 26, 2018, 11:23:37 AM
Thanks for posting this good guide, I know a lot of my friends are gamblers, they are always searching for some applications or some site that give them free tips on sports betting and sometimes it's premium, They are not smart enough to know that the seller is just a scam. I always tell them, there is no fixed match or anything like that. Every gambler should refer to a lot of tipster sites and use your brain to choose and don't follow anyone.

no don't get me wrong , there are actually some good tipsters who offer a reasonable price and they are indeed giving profitable tips
but the majority of the sites are just not good or the pricing is ridiculous
if you do some research you should be able to find good ones and spend your money on a good investment
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Need to Do Before Choosing a Tipster on: March 25, 2018, 08:46:28 PM
Thanks for listing this tips which is really true most of the time.Having these kind of considerations would really be good for us to avoid on such useless act.Instead on making money we would might end up on losing because of the fees that is being charged thats why im not really engaged too much on paid service. Most probable step for me is on following those free ones with a good track record.

Talking to this one:

5- Be ready to create many sportsbetting accounts
if you are not shopping for the best odds then you are missing a huge value in the long run , each 1% and each 1 cent count in the long run
so in case to profit the most you should have access to many sports providers and this can be a little easier when you have an account with a sports broker

You should really be ready on this because having accessibility is always been an important thing.

thanks for passing by , indeed I have a thread where I track the tipsters that I follow ( both paid and free ) so you can check it and see hows it going since I update it weekly
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1800883

also feel free to post about free tipsters that have profitable records , that would be appreciated actually
2792  Economy / Gambling discussion / What You Need to Do Before Choosing a Tipster on: March 25, 2018, 07:38:09 PM
hello guys , so recently I got some questions about how to spot good tipsters and how to know if this service is good or not so decided to open a topic here with some headlines of the things that you should research a little before buying paid picks

1- Check the tipster or the site's record
before even considering buying you need to see some stats and graphs for the tipster , we all saw how many calimed that they have 80% win rate with crazy ROI
well all of the above are just words without proof , so you need to research more about them and see people's experiences in the forums
some sites offer full stats and records that are tracked by a 3rd party site , you need to stick to these cause with no proof that the tipster  actually had a profitable run in the past then most likely you will be wasting your money and bankroll

2- do some calculates to see if the price suits you
this is a main concept too , cause let's face it we all don't have that much spare money or sometimes even if the tipster is profitable you may end up losing since maybe you are paying him more than what you are actually winning following his picks
to do that try to not pay over 5 units of your betting bankroll to a monthly subscription

3- ask more about the betting volume
the volume of the picks is so crucial , for example imagine paying 200$ a month for a tipster that has a proven 10% ROI , but then you found out that this tipster only gives one pick or two every week , you may end up spending more than what your bankroll afford
so even if the tipster is profitable he may not suit you
another example : a tipster with 3% ROI that averages 5 picks a day is way better than a tipster that has 10% ROI with 2-3 picks a week

4- ask them for a proof of odds
sportsbetting and gambling in general mainly depend on the odds , that will determine how the gamblers will do in the long run
we can all claim that we are profitable if we can fake the odds , imagine the tipster telling you to pick a team with X1.9 odds then you keep searching for that price and end up finding X1.8 top , well if the tipster pick was won then the pick will has 10% more profit
so by faking the odds a losing tipster may be seen as a profitable tipster

so always choose a site that post the source of the odds

5- Be ready to create many sportsbetting accounts
if you are not shopping for the best odds then you are missing a huge value in the long run , each 1% and each 1 cent count in the long run
so if you want to profit the most you should have access to many sports providers and this can be a little easier when you have an account with a sports broker

I guess these are the main points to consider , if you have any question feel free to leave a comment here

good luck all

Op has been updated with the following stats

Site                                                              Picks Followed                                Profit (units)

Betting-analyst (horse elite)                                     170                                          +10.725
bookie insiders  ( soccer tips)                                     75                                           -0.117
bookie insiders  (tennis tips )                                      55                                          +3.758
degen signals    ( free picks  )                                     12                                          +2.340

horse racing was amazing in the past week , in fact yesterday betting analyst had 3 winners out of 5 picks with some really good odds ( avg 4.5 ) so we are in the up swing again with horse racing

as you know football last week was dead with a punch of friendlies that most of the professional gamblers hate to bet on , so no change in soccer stats and we will wait till the leagues resume

tennis also has been amazing , day after day I have more faith in bookieinsiders since they have the largest sample tracked and they made their past results public so everyone can see how they did before purchasing a subscription there

I said previously that I will start tracking for miha8 , but sadly the price is kinda high with 0.015 btc a month and he rarely pick more than one match a day so for now I won't buy the subscription

with all the sites above I should be fine for now , but will keep an eye on other services and maybe will add a couple of them in the coming months

Please explain to me how sportsbetting is like trading cause I am very dumb and don't understand? Are you sure you can beat chance in the long run? I am not  Grin

Hi Wendigo you receive already a reply to your question.
Check betfair.com and geektoys (software) just to understand how you can interpretate a betting game in a trading play!
Lot of people daily are just trading a bet and not playing it !!

This was exactly my "setup" when betfair had a license to operate in my country. Once they left I got left with no options. Although I enjoyed live trading, I actually got a decent profit from pre-live trading, and it was exactly on UK horse betting. Those markets were crazy, and those 10min or 5min before the race started where complete madness.

I don't really know any sports betting websites that have horse racing and that accept bitcoin. I would also like to get back in the game, but I'm sure that even if there are a few, I won't be able to trade there because I won't probably have access to trading software, and the liquidity will probably be bad.

that's exactly what's happening with me in horse racing , I follow a profession tipster picks that profited for 30 seasons but the odds fluctuate insasnely
I have faced it so many times where I bet on a horse with like X8 odds then right before the start the odds drop to X6 or X5 which gives me an easy trading opportunity
so far I'm profiting with him without the need to trade , but in the future when my capital increase I will start doing some 1K trades since they either end as a value bet or a nice 40-100 euros trade profit

since betfair isn't available you can contact asianconnect and see if they accept your country , they have two exchanges withing their platform called 9wickets and orbit exchange and these two are exactly betfair so you can use them like you were using betfairs since the rates and the volumes are exactly the same ( the asian betfair )
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where can I bet on horse races (UK and Ireland) ?? on: March 24, 2018, 02:29:28 PM
Pretty much the title itself.
Looking for a BTC betting website that allows you to bet on Uk and Irish racing.

The only option was directbet but that's an old story by now.
Please, no shady websites 1-2 months old!

hey mate ,as you can see in the post above it seems that mbet launched and they offer these racing
you can also check fairlay , their horse racing lines aren't that impressive and the volume is kinda so low but still you have an option

if you want my advice you should create an account in asianconnect , they are a broker that takes bitcoin as a payment method and you can create an account with all the bookies and exchanges that they offer ( they dont have KYC for btc customers )
personally I bet with them using 9wickets , which is the asian version of betfair and their lines are impressing

yeah exactly , trading the odds can be even more profitable than trading stocks , forex or cryptocurrency
but I mainly go for value betting , though I found that it's even easier to trade the odds where you can make 2-6% surely but haven't got involved with it
there are many profitable traders and value bettors , but the majority of the value comes from people who lose and bet only for the thrill of watching the game

did you have past experiences running a site ?? I've been dying to see a good crypto site to bet on horses since I bet daily and so far I'm only using betfair for my betting
I would like to turn my action to your site but since it's new I'm still scared to deposit my money
will wait for some good reviews and experiences and for sure I will try the site after that , or maybe if you have some bitcoins as a collateral with one of the trusted members here so members can guarantee that they will get paid if they win

The entire team here has worked for corporate bookies in regulated markets for a long while.  I appreciate your scepticism, but I hope you appreciate the sheer amount of resources that goes into developing a site like this, we are not going to fly off with a few coins.

I look forward to the day when you take the plunge!

alright will try the bookie tomorrow , yeah  the design doesn't look like a hit and run bookie
hopefully will find better odds with you cause I only bet on the highest odds available  Cheesy

a good gambler only chase value events and manage his money wisely ,when this is achieved all of the previous ones you mentioned will be achieved too
as long as the gambler is working hard on his games he should be happy and profitable in the long run , but spending the days wagering the dice will only create a huge disappointment at some point

there is no good and bad gambler IMO , there are +EV gamblers and -EV gamblers
