281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: March 17, 2024, 10:53:14 PM
Its impossible to count votes like that, the system is not purely numbers like that.  Its enough in theory but it its unlikely to work in any perfect case scenario to alter results just like that.   I would also argue alot of voters just stay away when they dont have their ideal candidate, think of all the people who wanted Bernie Sanders in a unique way quite a few wont find any reason to vote elsewhere just because a party orders them to.
It's true that the electoral system in the United States is such that doesn't mean someone with the absolute majority. Even Trump was elected in 2016 without a majority vote over Hillary Clinton who had more votes, but Donald Trump still won based on the electoral college system.

I think though Trump might have gotten a bit too comfortable because he didn't target the most important constituents after his first win. Especially he didn't do it as much as he should have to win again. Overall probably now though, Biden has disappointed too many people too. He didn't deliver on student loans, he didn't deliver on ending wars, he didn't deliver on better living standards for the working class... Nothing for the working man... Some people might end up voting for Trump out of spite.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 16, 2024, 11:57:14 PM
I've thought about this again and again. My favorite team isn't a top 5 but I insist to support my local team.
Well, seeing as though how crypto gambling doesn't have any deals with my local league though, I don't hesitate to bet against my team sometimes. If I'm sure they'll lose even though I love my local team, I will bet on what I think makes me money without shame. It's not an issue to bet looking to earn a few bucks. So if I can improve my chances by betting against I team I like I won't think about it twice.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About running an online casino vs an offline casino on: March 16, 2024, 11:28:17 PM
Online casinos try to imitate offline casinos in many aspects. I think the more pronounced differences are in table games and slots though. At least if we're talking about the technical differences.

For instance, table games in offline casinos have much more relaxed rules. It's easier to play at an offline casino for a long time because statistically speaking, even with a bank that's not as big, the risk of ruin is much lower. However if you're noticed placing certain strategies that are akin to card counting the surveillance in an Offline casino would get to you eventually.

Online casinos on the other hand, even though they try to imitate the offline play stile with live dealers, have certain rules that make them much more random. For example frequent shoe changes, the shoe changes while it's half, you're not given as much freedom with splits etc. So all these eventually add up to having less options for a profitable strategy.

Now with slots, online slots tend to have a higher RTP, but always a higher volatility also. Players offline tend to want to win more frequently without caring about huge wins all the time. So offline has more variety for slots in terms of volatility, but online there's more variety in terms of graphics etc. So it's no wonder that many companies focus on promoting their slot games so much. With a high house edge, they can profit off of them a lot more reliably than with other games.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2024/03/05/can-congress-disqualify-trump-what-to-know-after-supreme-court-keeps-him-on-ballot/

Wake up babe, new democrat shenanigans just dropped. So it seems as though democrats might be plotting to vote for a disqualification for Donald Trump for him to not be able to run in the presidential race. It's interesting to see this take place and be discussed as a realistic scenario. However the house of representatives is going to remain a republican majority as it is now throughout the presidential elections so such a vote is unlikely to pass when it would need somewhere around a dozen of republican votes to also pass.

Any Republican going against Trump right now would be dooming his career as well as his party. Trumpers got it their way, and nevertrumpers seem to have no other way other than to sit this one out waiting in silence.
The realistic scenarios where trump is barred from the presidency would require majority votes from both senate and house, which could even then be struck down. Especially after the recent supreme court ruling. So the potential outcomes where we'll see Trump being barred from the presidency have very slim chances at this point.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 16, 2024, 02:21:46 PM
I've once won 10 EUR on a 1 EUR scratch card. The thing is by now the price has been increased and the minimum is 2 EUR for the same winnings.
Scratch games are a bit weird. They have a very low RTP, usually they won't pay back more than 70%. And in that percentage they need to pay the venue as well as the game maker. You'd have better chances winning playing something like a sports bet even.

So for me scratch cards are only worth it if you for some reason want an instant result. But if you're on a gambling shop, keno has draws every 5 or so minutes with a higher RTP for most combinations usually, depending on the provider. Scratch cards tend to have better RTP at higher tickets but not always. It's tricky. If you look into the numbers you suddenly realize it's one of the least favorable games for the player. The only reason I'm profitable with scratch cards therefore is that I haven't touched them since I won 10 EUR.  Cheesy
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 16, 2024, 12:05:12 AM
This should be common sense to everyone that's putting money towards gambling. To be able to review your history and see what your profit and loss has been historically is actually really important to be able to assess if you've been gambling responsibly. More so also, some people might bein slight profit but that might have happened through enormous risk that were too big for their income level.

Risking savings with gambling is something that should be avoided in general. So if someone sees that he has been missing out on saving, or hurting his savings, then he should cut back perhaps, or even stop gambling all together if compulsion doesn't help him.

Sad truth though is, some providers offer very limited access to this valuable data. So in my view, if you're going to gamble in a platform and consider staying there long term, it's a good idea to consider if it offers full access to your history.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 15, 2024, 11:49:03 PM
You can kinda do paper betting on your own by noting down your preference on a match and taking a screenshot of it.
Ofc it requires a bit of tracking but I like to do it this way because for me it  matters to get the same odds as in the provider you'll be playing at later, even if at the moment you're out of disposable income that you can feel comfortable to place bets with.

The thing with sites that offer paper betting is that they have slightly better odds sometimes so its easier to get lured in the action through them. An alternative would be to place minimum value bets. It's like 0.2$ or 0.30$ for a minimum bet on most sites. Not 0 but not too high either. So this way it also helps you take it a bit more seriously.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is really unexpected on: March 15, 2024, 11:34:40 PM
Of course a percentage of gamblers will come away from the casino having a positive profit balance. Of course it's going to be unpredictable. Because it's random Grin
That's kind of the point though. You can't know in advance if you'll be a loser. But it's also a statistical impossibility for the majority to be winners in the long run.

That's also something to be wary of though. Because expecting to win can kind of lead many people to actual extravagant losses. So good on OP for winning a decent chunk of money but dunno how noteworthy that is really. a 10x happens around 1/10 times. Probably though not many people get to keep these profits and nevertheless it's not realistic to expect this to happen on the full balance of one's deposit.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 15, 2024, 09:55:29 PM
I've seen several people in my country promoting non-licensed casinos with their full name on facebook and other social media without any real consequences from authorities.

The issue in countries where gambling has become legal is that so called "legal" licensed gambling providers spend too much money on promotion so they've created sort of a monopoly where if you are a promoter it's only really worth it to promote them and no one other. So unlicensed casinos have a hard time getting a footing in these types of countries. Casinos that feature crypto tend to be more competitive and earn more players through word of mouth, but can't compete in any way to the affiliate budget of the "legal" ones. Because these casinos have a higher house edge and rather spend all their money on affiliate marketing.

Whoah who would have thought Olympiakos would win by such a large difference especially after they had lost one time already against the same team. I guess they really did build on a strategic advantage this time. It must hurt a bit for Maccabi to lose in this way and get knocked out by such a large goal difference.

If any Maccabi fan traveled to Europe for this their trip was cut short. Props to Olympiakos for this  Grin
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 14, 2024, 11:12:33 PM
So long as a casino has clear rules on how much you can win and actually doesn't let you bet more than reasonably expecting to hit above the multiplier then I think they are good. No need to publish the bankroll if they can afford to pay our.

The issue some have faced is the casino allowing them to bet an amount that lead them to win above the max win, which is an issue on the side of the casino's design in my view.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 14, 2024, 01:43:29 PM
Lack of laws in present doesn't mean something is legal. Just unregulated. There are very few countries like this left however.
Most places will either outright ban gambling or have some regulation so big companies can launch their games under a license.

The thing is, unlicensed gambling is a big thing even in countries without even any licensed gambling sites. But also in countries where there's favorable regulation, people still like on many occasions to just get a VPN or change their DNS and play in unlicensed casinos, because they have several advantages. I for instance, living in Greece, see several disadvantages in gambling in the country's licensed casinos because they have a lack of games and the house edge is higher. Also they don't pay bonuses that are as good. They just spend all of their money on promotion to get new customers and give little to nothing back. So I haven't even signed up for these providers really.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: March 14, 2024, 01:16:28 PM
I see Greece went up a few spots in the odds and that's quite interesting.

I'm certain by the reactions I'm seeing that Greece will secure a spot in the final. But I'm wondering if the positivity by eurovision fans in social media is something to rely upon for judging song performance in the contest. For sure many of these people that react to these videos are kind of influencers now because they gather a very big audience simply for sharing their opinion. So in terms of showcasing a song to the public it plays an important role. I'm not sure if those placing bets have been taking this into account. Because for instance even though Croatia's song is first in the odds and it's also a good song imo, it hasn't been receiving the same attention on social media that young people like posting like TikTok.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: March 14, 2024, 11:31:27 AM

Something interesting came up. While Haley didn't have a particularly good run in the primaries, it seems as though more of her supporters (who are registered republicans) will be interested to vote for Biden other than Trump.
If we conclude that these supporters would get away from the party line and vote for a democratic candidate over Trump, then if Biden is alive by then (lol) it kinda shows that people might be underestimating his chances to win.

I get that there are many people very passionate about Trump but even among Republican circles he's been very divisive. Quite a few people like Mike Pence too, or any of the other candidates that appeared in the primaries, and we saw that they had quite a few select words for Trump. So it'll be interesting to see if these displeased voters would be enough to sway the vote towards Biden.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: March 13, 2024, 01:49:55 AM
I'm unsure about this discussion:
Many sites already offer the possibility of betting on a winner, but what is a winner?
Is it the candidate who received the most votes during the elections or is it the one who will actually be sworn in as President of the United States?
The United States electoral system doesn't elect a president on an outright majority vote. As of gambling markets, I'd bet that gambling sites will close the market as soon TV channels and major news outlets call the winner of the election.

On some other presidential news, the independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. says he's considering Aaron Rodgers for his running mate. I'm told those familiar with American football (not me) might find this funny...
https://www.businessinsider.com/robert-kennedy-jr-aaron-rodgers-vice-president-2024-2024-3

Mr. Kennedy is such an interesting candidate and it's uncertain from which major candidate he would draw most voters from. He's had interesting things to say on vaccines and the economy. But also holds quite the divisive stance on Palestine. It's likely that with his "anti-globalist" messaging he draws more right-wing minded voters, or at least some undecided center-left voters. Probably he'd do damage to both Biden and Trump if he was receiving more spotlight though.

I think he's one of the more realistic "third-party" candidates so if I could find a market on which third party candidate would get the most votes my money would certainly be on him.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Marketing Strategies for New Casinos? on: March 12, 2024, 11:16:00 PM
It's not hard to reach crypto users. The hard thing is to make them trust you. It's a very shady space overall and there's a ton of scams that will make you lose your coins instantly. So really many of the promotion materials that happen in this forum, which is a prestigious crypto community, are here to build trust with the more respectable members of the community.

So this in turn opens up any casino to a larger audience in the mid to long run. But it's reasonable to suspect that during tis time most newcomers in the space don't make a ton of profit. The investment required to stand out from the competition is not small while it might take a while to acquire a customer base, so it makes sense kinda.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: March 12, 2024, 10:11:49 PM
I honestly do understand Trump and Biden trying to beat each other, but there are places that shows Michelle Obama, who has never shown any interest in politics, never has been a candidate, never been nominated, never even tried to get any nomination for any position ever, to have better odds to win it over Kamala Harris, literally the VP of the nation, and the president if anything happens to Biden. That part has never made sense to me.
The issue with Kamala Harris is that she got very little spotlight during her vice presidency. I don't know if it's why Democrats chose to do so deliberately or if she was just not interested but the media didn't give her any spotlight. It's been all these years since Obama was president, but his wife is still more popular than the current female vice president, which is crazy.

So I kinda understand the rumors. If democrats lost Biden, then they would have to pick someone widely popular to replace him. The Michelle Obama pick kinda makes sense, although very unrealistic. Sometimes rumors make sense, simply because the alternative would be even more absurd. Can you imagine a world with Kamala Harris as president? Me neither, because it just seems like she was picked as a token black woman vice president and served absolutely no utility through her term.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LISTED gambling companies to invest in on: March 12, 2024, 10:04:31 PM
I would add: two Italians bookmaker/virtual casino listed in Borsa Italiana
SNAI and Lottomatica
Of course these are small companies if compared with big names of gambling/casino
however these are both the biggest company in this field in my country. Lottomatica is able to offer (as unique vendor) the SuperEnalotto (local version of powerball)
no one of these company accept crypto in any way Sad
These are good additions. It's interesting to have more international investment options than just stocks focusing exclusively on the United States market.
For instance many slots companies seem to be listing on the Swedish stock market. There's a lot of sports betting in european countries as well so it's good to have the companies that are listed and not purely based on private capital. I'll be putting these and more up shortly.

Easy win for Trump.

They had enough of the demented mumbling fool's crap imo. Actually I was pretty surprised when Trump lost the last elections but I blame the mainstream media for that one. I guess they brainwashed the masses. As I see it, nobody watches C-NN (cunt news network) and other mainstream media outlets anymore. When I watch their clips on youtube the comment section is full of people making fun of fake news network.
Not sure if it's going to be easy but I kinda understand the odds being better for Trump on bookies.
For one, Biden tried to deliver on so called normalcy but the only ones benefiting from his policies were mega corporations. There's record low unemployment supposedly but at the same time there's also record high poverty, record low purchasing power, sustained high inflation etc. So much for "Bidenomics" while the working man suffers.

Would things have been much different under a Trump presidency? I think probably not, but I also understand that many Americans might be itching to find out.
