What better place to contribute to the testing other than this thread?

I'll try one of my own posts:

Let's see.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i invest to this public sale ?, Is it profitable? on: July 13, 2020, 08:31:53 AM
Other projects trying to bring tokenization into such a specific market have all failed.
The world isn't ready to tokenize property, or anything as tangible for that matter. The automotive industry which this project claims to target would hold its grip on power too well for this to happen. They claim to be interested more in collectible cars which seems much more stupid if you ask me.

I would say this is a hard avoid. If you want into crypto then buying something already established would be better. Bitcoin is always king.
1143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best and most important books that help beginners learn the field of encrypt on: July 13, 2020, 07:58:30 AM
Technical analysis really has little to do with crypto markets. There's little correlation between crypto and big markets like for example S&P 500.
Many analysts have tried this, no trader would be the first. But even experts have failed to apply popular theories on crypto markets.

After all, it's an unregulated global market. Rifle with volatility and little to no connection with real world actions. It's pure demand and supply, with not many limitations beyond that.
Any traders trying to teach himself technical analysis on BTCUSD as a basis would crash and burn in my opinion. These books might be good for someone interested in becoming a market maker employee for a company maybe, but not much application for these in bitcoin markets. Just my two cents.
1144  Other / Meta / Notification on deleted threads on: July 13, 2020, 07:54:36 AM
The forum currently lacks one feature the absence of which causes a lot of confusion.
The moving of threads into the trashcan is very confusing to thread authors.

Firs of all, the trashcan is a locked board. So anything moved there, will always be inaccessible to anyone but forum staff.
Unless the mod that moved the thread decides to notify the OP, then the thread OP will have no idea of the thread being moved to the trashcan. Attempting to load up the URL simply leads to an error page without any explanation.

I can use myself as an example here, I had made a thread called Max profit in crypto sites, biggest in industry? which seems to have been deleted from the Gambling Discussion board. The only mod of the board (hilariousandco) seems to have been off the forum for a week. So it's even not obvious who moved the thread as it must have been a staff member other than the person listed as the board's mod.

I'm only using myself as an example here, I am not making this thread just so I can get an explanation for my thread. But by using a recent example I want to bring something to light.
It is very confusing to have your thread deleted and I believe the following should be addressed:
  • Receiving no notification when the thread is trashcanned.
  • No reason or explanation given.
  • Having no redirection notice (also would be helpful for those that had responded or had the thread saved).
  • Losing the contents of your thread forever.

I think the forum already has a mechanism it could utilize to fix the aforementioned issues.
When a response gets deleted (for example from a self-moderated thread, or by a mod), then immediately the response author gets his response quoted as a PM, saying that it was removed.
Doing the same for trashcanned threads would save a lot of confusion.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Justin Sun and Oikos Price Dump!!! on: July 13, 2020, 07:27:53 AM
This is much similar to how VeChain claimed ot have partnerships with several auto-manufacturers only for the companies to deny it one by one later once they found out.

You should always be careful and double check claims made by CEOs of altcoins that had an ICO. It's very much likely that they are holding much of their own coins so it is in their interest for the price to go up. They have the power to manipulate the markets due to their influence and that is something that could be taken advantage from them very easily. Frankly, securities are very tightly regulated in that regard. Crypto is still pretty much the wild west of investment. Those few ICOs that made it, might have crazy founders. So always do your own research.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin.com uses bitcoin cash as default currency on: July 13, 2020, 06:52:55 AM
Roger Ver is a known anti-bitcoin advocate since long ago. His gripe with the bitcoin community was that most people didn't support the solutions for scaling that he also supported.
He has since been pumping his money to promote a forked bitcoin, that he tries to promote as the real bitcoin.

Partners of Roger Ver have also promoted BCash through their businesses. For example, known scammer Erik Voorhees turned his business, satoshi-dice, into a BCash-only gambling platform. He and Ver have worked together on many ventures like for example the failed KryptoKit wallet.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Opinion Needed] What do you want to see in a gambling site review? on: July 12, 2020, 01:17:49 PM
I'd mostly be interested to see how fair the site is, if we have to do with chance-based games that is.
For example, there are new sites launching that claim to be provably fair, but in reality, unless you check every bet, they don't actually verify the bets. 999dice for example has such shady practices. Videos on how to verify bets from each site are also nice because there are differences in each site.

Now in terms of every other type of site, I think talking about the experience overall is nice. This includes house edge, bonuses, community events, chat participation etc. Also details like KYC requirements for example are important for crypto gamblers.
1148  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which VPN to pick? on: July 12, 2020, 12:53:05 PM
If you're into Linux, you could rent a VPS with unlimited traffic (for example one provider) and then also rent some IPs from some ISP to run your own VPN with an open source service. This way you don't have to trust a third party company. Of course that takes much more work, so I wouldn't recommend it because the learning curve if you're new is steep.

So there's also value in using a service some times. For such uses, I would always recommend IVPN. I think they're the most transparent and privacy friendly VPN. So if the purpose is privacy and security, they're the best or at least one of the best among service.
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: July 12, 2020, 11:35:55 AM
why would they do that ? whats the the purpose of gambling site in the first place ? only for playing a gambling  . adding more features to it already removes its essence of a gambling place and people will get distracted .  i dont see gambling site that supports staking yet but only investment feature . what more can we ask for ? i think this is enough  . people can already earn in different ways but if they love staking then they should head on to a dedicated staking platforms and not on a gambling site .
I think OP is asking a reasonable question.
There are quite a few proof of stake cryptocurrencies and the since casinos can take them as an investment in the house, it means they're running a wallet also. Users entrusting the casino with a deposit in the house could also use it as a service to stake. It would be a win-win situation for those making waggers, the house as well as investors.
1150  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💎 WixiPlay.io 2.0 💎 25% CashBack | New cryptocurrencies & features | TOP | on: July 12, 2020, 09:22:13 AM
I understand that you have updated the site and it is very likely that now the pf system is working correctly but what about the loss which have been made before. Do you have any plan to compensate the losses of the players ?
The proovable fairness system in Wixiplay.io could work fairly, but only in theory. They make it very hard to verify the proovable fairness of each bet by changing the server seed each bet and it's only revealed once you clicked at the timestamp of the bet, which wasn't self-evident in the self place.

From what I understand, this means that to check fairness, you would have to be checking each bet individually. RHavar had revealed this first, and he discovered that wixi likely could see when users checked the server seed, so they could fix the results only for unaware users this way. Then other users noticed that there were some statistically improbable strikes bets on the site and that there were even mismatches with the provable fairness system. T

From what I can see, the current website still makes it hard to check the provable fairness by changing the seeds every bet. A similar strategy is utilized by other shady sites for years like for example 999dice which has likely scammed hundreds if not thousands of people this way.
1151  Economy / Reputation / Re: Red trusted casino promotes services under new account on: July 11, 2020, 04:18:19 AM
Seems 'WixiPlaySupport' already tagged by Coin_trader. However I left a neutral feedback for the record. I am not gambling expert and I can't just about their arguments that's why I didn't even left negative feedback to their official account 'WixiPlay'. For WixiPlay only one feedback is reflecting to me by default, so whoever expert on gambling and understand their arguments about provably fair they could add more feedback. Its seems they are evading ban.
I think their previous account was unbanned before they posted. At least as per the last post of DT user Coin_trader in the casino's new thread.

EDIT:

It seems that Wixiplay is not ban anymore. I already revised my rating and willing to remove it once they prove that the casino was cheat free.
Still a very odd choice. And they bought copper on both their accounts too.
My only logical explanation is that they were trying to evade the bad ratings. And it seems the Provable fairness system is also not fixed yet.

1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion on Bitcoin adoption on: July 11, 2020, 04:12:59 AM
I know that someone already suggested about bitcoin making into universities, for me, this idea is really helpful and must be implemented as soon as possible so people will really have to study how bitcoin works and why does bitcoin exists in the market. Once we make it become included in a curriculum, in this way we will somehow improve its mass adoption as the most used cryptocurrency in the market. Those youth or students have more time to explore and experience bitcoin in their lives. Hopefully, most of the governments allow this kind of learning because it can also affect the country's economy once people are knowledgeable how market work and moves. We really lack of information and support for bitcoin and I hope this will become a way for that to grow.
Ι wish that in the following years, curriculum for economics would be more critical on monetary theory.
In so far, banks and FIAT money was considered the only alternative. And most professors, even Marxists, were not doubting the system of monetary policy that is in place.

This is so foundational to introducing bitcoin. Students should first learn that there is an alternative to the system before being introduced to bitcoin's technical details IMO.
1153  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💎 WixiPlay.io 2.0 💎 25% CashBack | New cryptocurrencies & features | TOP | on: July 10, 2020, 07:45:26 PM
Trust ratings of your last account had this reference:
https://wizardofodds.com/online-gambling/wixiplay-io/

In the videow the website still looks the same with when the hashes didn't match.
I still see the provably fair system being similar or perhaps even the same.
Can you demonstrate what changes were made? If you claim the system is fixed then maybe you should keep posting from the original account.

And I'm sure the ones who had left negative feedback would remove it too... That's only IF you addressed all the issues ofc.
1154  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wixiplay.io is rigged | one in ten million session | fake PF on: July 10, 2020, 02:21:14 AM
FYI Wixiplay have a new account and started promoting their services on it. I'm not sure as to whether or not their provable fairness system was fixed, but it seems like it didn't.

Here's their new thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261052

Feel free to tag the new account as you see fit. I created a reputation thread for further discussion:

1155  Economy / Reputation / Red trusted casino promotes services under new account on: July 10, 2020, 01:32:42 AM
WixiPlay.io back in December 2019 received valid accusations of running a rigged "provable fairness" system. Thread:
Wixiplay.io is rigged | one in ten million session | fake PF

Also, it was documented that hashes weren't matching with results:
https://youtu.be/8OXjKcheAug?t=526
8:50 timestamp

The account wixiplay had received two DT negative trust ratings.
It's likely that they made a new account to promote their services without the negative trust appearing.
New account:
WixiPlaySupport

I'm not sure if the standard of provable fairness has been improved on the site. Seems like it hasn't though.
IMO DT members should at least give neutral trust to the new account until someone checks on the fairness of the site.
1156  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💎 WixiPlay.io 2.0 💎 25% CashBack | New cryptocurrencies & features | TOP | on: July 10, 2020, 01:11:53 AM
Did you fix your provable fairness system? I think not. I still see server seed changing with every bet.

Provable fairness of a dice site is really important. The last accusations against your site had landed your account red trust. Apparently verifying bets was hard to do for the user and not up to standard with the industry expectations.
Here's the thread with the accusations: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5211370.0

1157  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: July 10, 2020, 12:06:07 AM
I got a big loss strike on the dice game when I was playing with DOGE. I was just trying the automatic bet feature and was AFK.
Happened after I had done around 10k wagers while playing with a win probability of 49.5%.

Goes to show that you aren't safe from martingale. Ain't no strategy that beats the house in the long term. Good luck to everyone that's trying though! Luck is what you need.
1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is likely to reach $ 10,000!!!! on: July 10, 2020, 12:00:44 AM
To be honest I think there's still a lot of resistance due to bag holders of BTC. It's unlikely that all those that bought near the ATH have sold by now so there must be many bagholders keeping their coins in hopes of a better price. And creating resistance revels and pressing the price whenever there seems to be a potential for a breakthrough.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency mixing services do more harm than good to blockchain technology on: July 09, 2020, 01:38:52 PM
Bitcoin can be used for various things. Much like cash. Because bitcoin can be used for illicit activities, should we ban it?
Do you think that there aren't legitimate uses to mixers? Freedom of choice is an important aspect of money. You can't just ban certain uses of money and expect that to be followed.

What's good and bad can be determined with several thought processes. Not all are as objective.
But in terms of causing harm, I think mixers do little harm to other parties. They are not dangerous or violent towards others for example. They're just a tool to offer more frangibility to non-anonymous blockchains.
The harm isn't done by these services. Its maybe by some of their users. But that doesn't mean the services are at fault.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 08, 2020, 11:25:05 PM
Wow this case is so blatant. Apparently he was trusted with managing client funds, and he went on to buy in to poker tournaments and build a career as a poker pro with other people's money...
It's true that there are many reputable sites that will take crypto funds for gambling without any questions asked. It's one of the niches in the market of crypto gambling anyway.

One such site is bustabit (ex. moneypot). They allow bets just with anonymous registration. You can look at the site's leaderboard and see how much each player has won/lost. Currently the biggest loser is PredictableLegacy with 1,278.1505535 BTC lost over 1,397 bets. Currently their max bet is 111.51 BTC, which is over 10 million USD in a single bet! And just-dice still allows for max profit with a value above 3 million USD. So it's definitely easy to bet ridiculously large amounts on crypto gambling sites. You can look at https://dicesites.com for an approximation of how many wagers there have been in dice websites. Of course that's not the entirety of the market, but it's quite obvious that crypto gambling is not a small market.
