281  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money and bitcoins do you need to influence the price? on: November 21, 2018, 11:13:28 AM
I believe that this is happening with high probabilty.
People have manipulated stock markets from the begining and BTC market is just too easy target for those who have liquidity.

The amount depeneds on the eny given momnet, what is the volume how tick are the buy books.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin, Gold or Money? on: November 21, 2018, 11:08:45 AM
Gold and bitcoin is only similar with bitcoin in term of characteristics, bitcoin don't have intrinsic value but what makes it worth is the decentralization nature, so bitcoin is like one quick way to escape from fiat system that make most of us poor. Gold has the intrinsic value not only because it is precious metal but also gold is needed to make some electronic component.

Dont forget that BTC has finite amount, gold does not , it is mined all the time in variety of mines.
Also there is good amount of concern that gold amount in circulation is not real, it has been inflated by banks who sold the same amount over and over again. ( speculation)
283  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin, Gold or Money? on: November 16, 2018, 07:30:17 PM
My current stratedy is to look at the stocks, if they continue the downtred ( has a lower low) then I am seriously considering GOLD/SILVER.
The crypto market has suprised my with this last downfall and the behavior in general in correlation with stocks.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 the year of correction? on: November 16, 2018, 07:24:51 PM
I was sure that ~ until recenly we are in stable period and we wont go drastcially up or down but i was wrong.
Altough i beleive that the last drop was manipulation or induced by manipulation, the short term future does not look bright.
In fact the wider picture shows that we are back to long term bear trend.
285  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful? on: November 16, 2018, 07:23:12 PM
Did it.
While going trough your question, I realised that the most used currency in my case was LTC.

It would be interesting to see you end data.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is looking all red once again on: November 16, 2018, 07:16:08 PM
Altough I did not hink that there will be similar market action as a year ago, this was suprising to me.
My view is that, this is another market manipulation, because the ther eis no other explanation for this suuden sharp drop, thru the support we have tested several times this year.
287  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting USDt chart on: November 16, 2018, 07:13:47 PM

I think that USDT issues are not related to this fall. Actually when USDT started to have issues BTC gave the impression it have been rising (but it was rising only against USDT, not USD).
Also, now USDT seems to have been recovering, so it "would" be no reason for BTC to react like this.

Plus, Bitfinex liquidity / withdrawal issues are not new, I've read that they have issues since August or so (I thought it was USD, not USDT though).

[/quote]

Almost everyone have red the suspucions about USDT being involved in BTC pump a year ago, this is why they wont try it again ( if it was ture in the first place). I am keeping open mind on this matter, possibly they tried to manipulate the market to short BTC. This is just my speculation tough.
288  Other / Meta / Re: Open scraped data of all the users - SQL Lite DB - 2.437.064 users on: November 16, 2018, 07:06:31 PM
Nice job, somthing I was thinking of doing but never got around to do .

P.D. Great scraping speed there (I figure at least 5 processes running 24/7)

Last time i used 10+ processes and it included the time of last post which slows down the process.
289  Other / Meta / Re: $2.500,000 lost in bitcointalk.org abyss??? on: November 16, 2018, 07:03:16 PM

Activeness in the bitcointalk forum doesn't depend on the cryptocurrency prices. May be you are here for that reason but i don't expect high ranked accounts are waiting prices to go down so they come back. I would consider all the inactive accounts as "compromised" until ownership verification even by their real owners.

It does. Several threads have already shown the correlation between activty of the forum and Cyptocurrency price or better total market cap. This is just rational.
Also have beend noticing that more higher rank accounts are being abonded recently, abonded as in not active in last 2-3 months which ouls be because signature campaigns are getting less and less profitable,

290  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: November 14, 2018, 09:09:36 AM
It realy does not matter how you invest little by little or just take part of your funds and put it in your desired assets.
I am currently looking at commodities, havent bought any yet but this could be something that i could do if the stock market is continuing the downtrend.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Volume Tops PayPal, Creeps Up on Visa on: November 14, 2018, 09:02:40 AM
STATISTICS, you shuld look closely at them beofre jumping to conculsions.

Most of Bitcoin txs are done because of speculation not buying goods
This is about volume not tx amount, and tx amount matters because small online and off line purchases is where we spend our money on daily basis.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $6 Billion gets wiped out the cryptocurrency market on: November 14, 2018, 08:59:43 AM
I always find it funny when people use this kind of headlines, its is like market never gained or lost 5 or more billion USD over few days.

This is nothing special, market is moving as always thats it.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC targets decentralized exchange developer warns others brutally. Lessons? on: November 14, 2018, 08:58:07 AM
This was a bit of a shocker for me, but was it trully decentralised? I believe that someone profited from these txs.
Correct me if I am wrong on this.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: WORLD CRISIS IN 2018 on: November 13, 2018, 11:23:55 AM
Yea, this seems far fetched,.
Whst are the sources of this infromation or you any at all? It seem unlikely that US is buying gold, also wouldnt that impact gold price?
295  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: November 13, 2018, 11:17:39 AM
I am gorwing tired  not beause the market is in full bear mode with very few little sparks of life but because of the share number of unproffesional greedy people who manage to rise funds in ICOs , these kinds of people and their actions are annoying as hell.
296  Economy / Marketplace / Re: If Newbie Offers Investment on: November 13, 2018, 11:16:20 AM
I would be very sceptical on every investment offered by any rank, if it seems interesting one can setup a video call and then take it form there. There is a lot of things one can tell from a video conversation. I personally tend to get out when there is anything that throws me off and usually I am right.
297  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US stock market going to falling into a correction? on: November 13, 2018, 11:13:47 AM
Aaand down it goes again, for a few days  i started to doubt myself thinking maybe this is a correction after all. But now I am back on that bear horse, I am starting to look at commodities as investment .
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitex head: bitcoin price may drop to $2000 on: November 06, 2018, 06:39:16 PM
Why should anyone consider this approach- bearish trend starts only from crashing thru 200 day? This seems very weird.
If we started the bearish trend only then , then what was 20k to 10k ?Cheesy
299  Economy / Economics / Re: No Crypto Taxes Until 2030: Proposes New Ukrainian Bill on: November 06, 2018, 06:36:53 PM
The bill that has been introduced in the Ukrainian parliament which proposes a halt on cryptocurrency taxation of any nature in Ukraine until the end of 2029, would definitely be something all crypto people would get behind. The questions is, how does cryptocurrency taxing work? And is there a fair way around it?

I do not think that you are asking th right questions, the taxation enforcement is not that hard , it would be extremly close to traditional finance taxation.
i understand why one could see logic in this approach, and long term economic sense but the problem is that with this they are allowing also fiat funds being washed trough cryptos and thus the country would lose more than it would gain in long term Therefore this is not a good idea.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: 10th Birthday, Bitcoin Price Is No Longer Exciting ? on: November 06, 2018, 01:03:34 PM
At least for me , the price is very exciting and this point, it was not exciting when we where going down and down, drawing lower highs constantly. It was a time when I was not looking forward to next motnhs in crypto space, today and contrary I like the stabilty and believe that there is agood chance of uptred in comming months.
