Profitability of ZET is waaay off (probably due to incorrect data from Bter)And back to normal again as Coinchoose switched to Cryptsy.And again down from 93% to 1.2% Yes, Bter reports wrong price: 0.0000001 @ Bter (actually 0.0000055 when viewed the the Bter's web interface, pushing up to 0.00001) 0.00000520 @ Cryptsy is this resolved?

Sorry - thought I addressed this and then went on vacation. Looks like something in my code was reapplying the old block reward. Things should be back to normal now.

Okay - when you click on the chart legend to remove a coin - it stays removed until you click to bring it back.
Great! It's much more comfortable now to see "the picture" or behaviour of some coins wich was almost impossible when they all are messed up. But now someone can just forget that he switched off some coin (joking). By the way, I've noticed that in LTC section, royalcoin (RYC) difficulty seems not changing for quite long period of time (as far as I can tell). May be there is something with blockexplorer, I don't know. Fixed. Blockexplorer was stuck (so was Noirbits). Royalcoin diff is incorrect again as it seems... Hmm....daemon must be broken. This coin has a lot of issues

Sorry - just saw this. I am replacing the block explorers with local daemons so I can get hashing speed. Just fixed Noirbits.

Considering CoinChoose and most coin choosers, they actually base their data off the block explorer, explaining why they are not in sync with us. But as you said, it might be better that way until the coin gains more hash power.

PERFECT!!!!! I will switch from the Block Explorer to this as this solves my issue!! Thanks! How ever you wanna do it. But, also, here's the formula for Mean value; ARG - (1+2+3+4+5)/5=3 GIL - (10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18+19+20+21+22+23+24+25+26+27+28+29+30+31+32+33+34+35+36+37+38+39+40+41+42+43+44+45+46+47+48+49+50)/40=30.75 Now, it may fluctuate either way, ~3 points, but, it is fairly accurate. Second formula is just an average, but I also need the median. Also, the analysis I got for ARG was for all mined blocks since inceptions showing it was three. That being said, I switched to the new client and am using that.

Yeah, but the block reward is set to 10, even though the average block reward, is ~30.75, making it kind of useless. Ok - well, I can remove the coin entirely, if you prefer. I can't put 30.75 because there are blocks that are less than that (and I'd rather show the minimum to err on the side of caution). Just let me know and I will remove it. ARG's block reward is 1 to 5, and you put 3, which is the average block value. If you aren't going to use a value that more accurately displays profitability, for GIL, like you did for ARG, then yes, please remove it from CoinChoose. ARG I took a leap on since it was a small variance from the average and only did it after detailed analysis was given to me to show that not only the average but the mean was 3 (and there were minimal deviations away). GIL is a much bigger variance and I can just see the screaming. If you can run an analysis against all mined blocks, show me the mean and media for the coins plus if the range is between 25 - 35 (within one standard deviation), I am happy to put it at 30 blocks. Or if there is a way to programmatically get the block reward for the next block (and accurately reflect that), I can implement that function to update the block reward. Otherwise - I will remove it when I have a chance per your request.

Off topic: My other favorite that would be nice to see on Coinchoose is Primecoin. But that is probably a can of worms.
Yep - I had it up for like 5 minutes and compared it to Quark - but got deluged with emails about how you can't compare the two. Too much hassle unless someone clears the air on how to compare all the non-GPU coins

I think Middlecoin (and Multipool) have their place, but the nice thing about CrytpoSwitcher is you can alter the code to mine the second / third most profitable and not be subject to the market / depth risk associated with mining the top coin. Have you tried cgwatcher ? Isn't that for Windows?

Could you tell me what is the profitability formula you use ?
It is basically a comparison of the difficulty with factoring in the exchange rate. So, basically, even out the difficulties (if comparing scrypt to SHA256) then see what it costs to convert to the base. If, after mining the alt, you would have more, the profitability is > 100%. hard to break it down to a formula, but dustcoin, coinwarz, coinchoose, wheretomine, all operate under the same profitability calc.

On a side note, I frequently hear in allegations in the other threads that I may not be listing a coin for political reasons. I try to list every coin I can that is currently GPU mineable and fit for comparison. This usually requires that it is on an exchange, and I prefer a public block explorer not run by the coin developers with API access. If you have a coin you want on the site, please let me know. I am trying to keep up with all the coins being added to the exchanges, but it is tough!

While I'd like to do that, I know that for ever block under 30, someone would yell at me for my averages being off . Gil's difficulty, is not 83,000.... You need to refresh or wait. Fixed

On a side note, I'd love to see GIL listed on CoinChoose and more exchanges I'll put it up as soon as it is on BTER / Cryptsy / Coins-E / Vircurex or BTC-e. I just put it up with the lowest block size as the set size (i know it is random, but this way, those that know the coin will know how to adjust that )
