281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: September 03, 2016, 01:11:08 PM
Does anyone know if we have a paper wallet?  I am looking to put some SPR in cold storage.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: September 03, 2016, 12:02:39 PM
I can't say I'm not disappointed with the reception I'm having, but I do understand that everyone is suspicious because this forum is a place of many scams. Not sure what else to do. Once we lose respect, the project is kinda burned, no matter for what reason.

I had problems with WARP, some of legal nature, and I had intruders making my life difficult. The choice I made, to go away for a few months, turned out to be the best. The issues are solved and I came back to continue with the project.

However, it sure looks like nobody is interested in it, besides a few traders dying to make another quick buck.

I have been working on it, but honestly I don't think I will ever get my reputation back. If you've been hurt by WARP, I am sorry. And if it makes it any consolation, I was badly hurt too, moneywise.

So, at this point, and looking at the community, I have to make the hard decision of not developing WARP any further. My ideas and goodwill are still here, but I don't see this project getting back on track without external help.

I am willing for someone in the community to takeover the project if there is any interest. I can provide my ideas and roadmap, and contacts. But for the sake of the coin, I don't think anybody wants me to be involved any further.

I wish you all the best. I am deeply disappointed in this outcome.

Regards.

I can't say I am surprised.  I truly believe you started out ok and on the right foot.  I can't believe your entire goal was to fleece all of us from the get go.  But then again I am a naive person.  With that said I sold all of my Warp a while back and have only been lurking in the thread.  I invest in ideas and people.  You seemed like the right investment at the time.  But then it became apparent to me that you weren't.  I just don't know where you went wrong (there were many signs in hind sight).  I hope it all works out for you and that if you are a scammer you get what you deserve.  If you aren't a scammer then you need to see a therapist to work out your bi-polar issues.

edit - If a "credible" DEV does decide to fork this project then I will be back on board!
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FLYCOIN ANN with POSP ON YOBIT & Bleu Trade. POS 35%. Only 200k coins. RARE! on: September 02, 2016, 11:36:56 AM
i dont like the idea of a single address have 20x the stakerate and not even a limit how much coins u can place in

u could make that only the POS superblocks donate 50% of their earnings towards superfly
this way u not get spammed by small POS donations

and still there is no way to abuse this superfly funding

u cant scale it upwards as much as u like

and give investors savety that no hyperinflation can happen in case the superfly address is wrong used or in wrong hands

I agree - maybe a better solution is to build a fee into the code that every minted block has a percentage go towards the development fund?  A very minute amount so it doesn't hurt anyone but does slowly build the fund?
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PIO]PIONEERSHARES|MULTI PLATFORM BACKED COIN|PROFITSHARE|VISION on: August 31, 2016, 02:09:36 AM
LOL - we don't need any other exchanges - no one is selling there shares - look at the activity on Alcurex.  We should just focus on our own exchange and the brave few that consider listing us without having to pay a ransom to get listed.

So why do I think it's a good idea to create a new wallet like that?

There are a few immediate benefits:

  • picking up a few loose threads of the past few months and joining them together (blockexplorer, altcoin taxonomy, etc..)
  • be of value to other altcoins, this will help us tap into their liquidity and communities. Also a good way to attract additional devs.
  • Since the most important mantra of spreadcoin is "to incentivize the hosting of full nodes", we can already start doing that and set an example.
Raspberry Pi's are phenomenal devices, and especially the newest version is now fully capable of properly acting as full node.

It will take some time to finish all that, ... so

stay tuned!  Wink

Holy Crap!  What an update!  Great job Georgem - Awesome!

@SP - whatever happened to the spreadminer 10?

Spreadminer 9+ compiled for cuda 8.0 has a small boost on the gtx 1070. I can send the exe to you.

Yes please - you can send it to my email.  I will PM it to you.

I think I will have a detailed description of the new wallet (Spreadwallet) ready in the next 24 hours.

I will also address all the points that you guys have made in the meantime.

Stay tuned.  Smiley

setting and sticking to a deadline is something you're going to have to work on if you want this project to be successful.  It would be one thing if this instance was an outlier, but it has been on every observable occasion.  Outside of a roadmap, what has been accomplished within the past year?

While I don't disagree with anyone about timelines and deadlines and wanting more information - we need to remember that we are moving at Georgem's pace - I do not see anyone else stepping up and taking the reigns away from him, so we must be patient and wait for any development he has.  I know it is frustrating but to be constantly demanding on him doesn't make him feel like he has any support.  I am sure when Georgem has some information he will present it.  Until then, mine, purchase, and or lurk!  Just my 2 SPR. :-P

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FLYCOIN ANN with POSP ON YOBIT & Bleu Trade. POS 35%. Only 200k coins. RARE! on: August 25, 2016, 03:14:28 PM
So after many of the ideas have been discussed , it appears that fly has its final direction. Here is what we are planning:

Setting up the first ever multi-tier masternode system. What this means is that there will be 4 levels , that will give everyone a chance to enjoy the rewards of the masternode system.

Prices will be:

First , like most masternodes, you will send your collateral to your collateral address that you can close at anytime and get your fly returned.

Tier 1 :  500 fly collateral
Tier 2 : 1000 collateral
Tier 3 : 2000 Collateral
Tier 4:  5000  collateral.

Now this will be the first of its kind to have different tiers that will reward differently based on your tier. The main thing to understand, is 4 masternodes of 500 collaterial will pay LESS than 1 masternode of 2000 collateral.

Now here is the part that will blow your mind. First, we do not know for sure if what I am about to disclose to you is even possible. BUT, we have contacts with the right people , that IF its possible it will happen.

Fly coin will run 2 chains. One for fly and one for Dash. Dash does not have near enough processing power to process all of their transactions. Fly will have a side chain, and the our masternodes will help process the dash transactions. As many of you know I already have a data center full of powerful servers and my own 1Gps private fiber optic internet. So if all goes as planned , youll get a cut of the dash txs based on your masternodes.

This is the plan , I still need to talk with many different people to see if its even possible.

Vegas

There is a saying in America - "If you throw enough shit against a wall, something will stick!" - relates to flys!  With this idea the fly will come! Up in price that is! :-P

I have to say that I am excited about this idea @vegasguy!  The best one so far!
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: August 25, 2016, 01:19:57 PM
I would like to ask everyone a question:

Given that one member of this community had their wallet emptied, probably via team viewer, what does everyone think about adding 2fa into the new wallet Geoegem is working on?

This isn't about it being technically feasible or not, it is technically feasible. This is a general question about how important it would be to add that functionality into SPR.

Yes, that's one of the reasons why I am adding support for a hardware wallet like TREZOR. It has 2FA in the form of a PIN you have to enter everytime you sign a tx.
There are other devices that could be used for 2FA.

Some forms of 2FA would require a centralized service, so they disqualify themselves.

We could make the usage of multisignatures easier from within the wallet. Some consider that 2FA too!
(But this wasn't my plan for the first version of the new wallet, but maybe a later one?)

Or what kind of 2FA were you thinking about?

What about something as simple as Google Authenticator?

The fact that it was my wallet goes without saying - HELL YEAH - for 2fa - I vote YES! :-)

What was the actual payout in BTC per 10,000 MNM?

For the first payout, an holder of 10 000 MNM have received about 0,00107 BTC.

However, this is still really low compared to the following months payouts.

PS : We will do another post at the end of Return's Payout in order to give some more information.

*Nice to see you here Pokeytex Smiley

@antho281 - Thank you.  I have been lurking.  I have accumulated some MNM and mined some.

Just curious - has anyone done a final tally with both BTC and CHIP/BTC to determine the cost in BTC of (1) pioshare?  I looked through all of the posts and may have missed it.  I am looking for a grand total cost with both rounds of ICO.

Thanks - pokeytex

Is anyone going to release a Windows miner before this gets mined to hell?  Or is that the plan only those that can compile can mine?  Just curious.  I would donate for a compiled miner is all I am saying!  Just not after the ship has sailed!

Hello,
I am new to dual mining and cannot get it to work for the life of me.  I applied different settings from the read me and nothing seems to work. I keep getting the same error.  Would someone please post their config for nvidia setup so I can cross reference?  Thank you in advance.
