This looks like an awful idea.

First off, even if starting with legit intentions, it opens an interesting can of worms about trust in a supposed trustless system.  How is the 'special' wallet with modified core parameters coexisting on the same network?  Shouldn't everything that wallet produces get rejected by the network?  I can't just compile my own client with a 10000% POS rate and have it function normally.

Looks like a preamble to get a pump going, trying to get people rushing to buy DMD and buy Mining shares so they can be part of the rich get richer elite by being part of the Reactor club.  If you were not trying to intentionally pump the price the proper thing to do would be to release the news once it is actually functional, not 'a few weeks away'.

Since POS takes a bit to warm up I believe they are having us submit to the wallet in which they already added foundation funds to.  I believe this is for the sole purpose of starting coinage.  If I understand correctly my 1500 dmd is going to be swapped with 1500 dmd that is already aging in the wallet essentially giving me and others instant POS rewards.  I am not sure I see the problem.  Can you explain why you think this is not going to work?  It makes total sense to me.  What even weirder is that I have never seen you in this forum before.  Are you even a Diamond investor?

How the are these coins to be generated if they are not participating in blockchain and not competing for POS Huh
Something reeks here, just have not identified it yet LOL.

Utah - I am not sure I understand fully but I trust in Popshot and Cryptonit to do the right thing.  I believe what I understand is that the POS model is moving slower than originally planned so in order to get it up to where it is supposed to be there is going to be a new type of stake to help the POS along?  I am not sure I have it all but what the hell - I am a gambling man.  Cryptonit I sent my 1500 DMD to you.  Thank you kindly.

utah u confuse me
how u come to this strange conclusion it doesnt compete for POS?
its a normal wallet and it POS like a normal wallet
the difference is its POS rewards are multiplied with 4

i said the coins that are in reactor and POS there are not in a private wallet and POS there
so the reactor itself dont create more competition for POS blocks

if if bob and alice and reactor have a wallet and compete for pos each one with 3 pile of diamonds
then 9 pile of diamonds compete in the network for pos blocks

if now bob and alice decide to give one pile each to the reactor then bob have 2 alice have 2 and reactor have 5

and in total still 9 piles of diamonds compete for pos blocks

@poketex very kind from u but if u wana send me DMD u have to use another address  Cool
in fact i dont even have access to the wallet only 2 people have
the wallet dev and the cloudmining dev
we take security serious we know once DMD are 10$ each there is a lot value in reactor and we already prepare the security now fitting to this
i can gurantee it wont run on a webserver or somehow external reachable server

its only connection to the world is the single port of DMD network its possible we run it through a IP masking solution too so no one ever will find the reactor wallet

Hehe ok Cryptonit - I understand I didn't send you the 1500 DMD I sent it to the reactor wallet.  I got your subtlety! :-P

Yes this is exactly what it is.

That special wallet which is a service , rather than, personal downloadable client will help Diamond in key areas. (security, stability and attractiveness of investment).

Popshot - I am just confirming that there is a limit of 1500 DMD over (3) possible slots right?  I mean I don't want to be greedy or anything but I have more DMD I would like to invest if possible?

Diamond Reactor is a special wallet that can stake x4 the normal rate - which at this rollout phase is 200% per annum instead of 50%.

from where are coming all theese coins for this 200% stake.
And how is this going to affect regular staking?  going to drive staking difficulty sky high?  Where is the fairness of coin generation ...

there is no such thing as disadvantage by minting difficulty
if ur coins wait longer u earn more rewards because they became older

coins that are in reactor are not in a personal wallet and staking there
so there is no change in the amount of coins that compete for pos blocks

Why and what?
Coin rollout plan is behind the schedule.
There are fewer people generating coins through Proof of Stake than it was initially assumed.
We have decided to introduce a mechanism that will make sure we stick to the original rollout plan.

Diamond Reactor is a special wallet that can stake x4 the normal rate - which at this rollout phase is 200% per annum instead of 50%.

Who can use it and how?
Diamond Reactor is designed to be a part of Diamond Stabilisation Mechanism, very much interwoven with Diamond Cloud Mining and Diamond Multipool.

Apart form obvious role of increased coin generation, it will be employed as an incentive to existing and future Diamond investors
wishing to make the core feature of price guarantee more robust and effective.

Diamond Reactor is an empty pool (address) able too accommodate 100,000 coins.
That amount is divided into slots of 500 coins each.

However, depending on how coin rollout unfolds, we we could increase or decrease the amount of Slots we open in the reactor.

Reactor's address will be fully transparent, so anyone will be able to audit it at any given time.

In the initial stage, any person who mines for shares through Diamond Multipool or invested in Diamond Cloud Mining
and owns at least 100 shares has a right to use 3 slots (1500DMDs in total). Each slot has to be filled with exact amount not less not more.

Sent coins will reside at that wallet for the period from 10 to 40 weeks, generating interest for slot holders.
The interest generated that will be paid out is 100% per annum, which means that after 40 weeks time it would almost double your holdings.
Payouts will be made every week and when Slot time runs out, the coins will be send back to the owner.

The remaining 100% will be fed into Diamond Cloud Mining payouts making it even more attractive option to investors.

What happens next?
After the first coins from the initial phase are returned, there will be 5 slots to be filled with new coins each week (and held for another 40 weeks).
The winners of slot places will be those who had invested the most in Diamond Cloud Mining within the period of 7 days (each week).

Investment can be made directly with BTC or through mining for shares at Diamond Multipool.

Owners of 100+ shares, who want to fill their Slots, please email us at: cloud@bit.diamonds

What are the aims?

  • Making sure we stick to original coin rollout plan by putting more coins into circulation.
  • Ensuring Diamond Stabilisation Mechanism gets bigger and better.
  • Increasing the unique strength of DMD's POSē (Proof of Stake+ Proof of Shares).
  • Providing fantastic ROI opportunity to those who are committed the most to long term success of Diamond.
  • Securing the network with massive staking power, making any PoS attacks very costly.

We encourage you to ask us question if something is not clear or you want to learn more about the Reactor in greater detail.

I sent my email - I want to be the first to try it out! :-)

Look at that price move up on Bittrex.  It is absolutely amazing that someone would have spent all that money/time to drive the price down just to have it benefit the community that believes in the coin!  I am so thankful to the peeps that had the mindset to do that for me and the others.  I am also proud of the community members that did not fall into the dump trap and think your investment was garbage.  It means you all actually believe in this coin and the effort put forth!  I was wondering if I would be stuck mining this coin forever since I don't have a lot of money.  I never saw purchasing a significant amount as feasible until Monday.    I sincerely want to say thank you because I am a believer - Thank you to the dumpers and fudsters!  Oh if and when you do it again - hehe i now have BTC sitting on my account.  Peace out y'all.

Well, bad publicity is still publicity. From this side, it's nothing to regret.

But absence of Mr. Spread presents a big problem. He not only published news and development course etc. but also regularly answered questions and talked with His people us.  Sad

Mr. Spread is not absent he is banned for giving away testnet coins for us to use testing the masternodes.  LOL too funny.  He will be back on BTC talk in (2) weeks.  In the meantime he is alive and well on the spreadcoin forum.

Oh, another bought account coming to FUD it up so they can get cheap coins.

not bought, that's a newbie... they don't even care to buy accounts anymore (spent all their money dumping SPR yesterday)

I'm 100% it's someone from Darkcoin... I'm not saying who i really think though.

1 block every 10 seconds on testnet!!! I'm going to be rich  Cheesy
So do the coins that people get from the Testnet count towards their actual SpreadCoin supply?

Of course not, they're testnet coins.
Well that's what I figured but one buddy was like I'm going to be rich lol So I was kind of curious why he was saying that lol

In jest - I guess.  How many of us actually get to instamine a coin when it comes out!  LOL - it is fun to say the least...
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SpreadCoin - Masternodes Testing on: January 27, 2015, 05:46:20 PM
So starting a masternode is as simple as sending myself 100 or more SPR - going to masternode page - clicking on control?  If i create more addresses for receiving is it better than just sending myself multiple amounts or will I just keep creating masternodes?  Please advise - first time masternoder! :-)
