281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 23, 2024, 06:01:55 PM
People's reasoning regarding this is that gambling produces faster turnaround time for results, whereas in investments, it's trickling down for a long time before you can reap something. Most people who go the route of gambling to make money wants instant result, even though that's not possible most of the time due to the element of luck and chances involved. With investments, you are slowly building something, but at least it's being build and don't have a huge possibility of being destroyed any time soon.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 22, 2024, 11:58:50 PM
Some of it has to do with the program that the graduate has chosen.

There are graduates that are getting a huge salary simply because their field is so specific and their niche only has a few people working on it. There are also those graduates wherein their field is oversaturated with people that's why the rates are extremely low This is why if you want to succeed by going the academic route, it's important to know if the field you want to specialize on has a lot of people already or not. If not, go for it, see if you'd like it, and stay in there for good to get the rewards eventually.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: February 22, 2024, 11:20:02 PM
These guys aren't really doing themselves a favor. They are just bringing themselves closer to a lot of losses financially. Better to gamble sane and with full focus and knowledge of what you're doing rather than letting drugs or drowsiness take control of your logic and decision making. I really don't understand the rationale behind using drugs or alcohol to fuel some activities. They're just foregoing their control to some chemicals luring them into the false sense of being invincible.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 22, 2024, 07:00:04 PM
Casinos will always get the longer end of the stick.

Just imagine how much money they are getting from the withdrawal fees alone. Not to mention their house edge, albeit being set at 0.1% or similar, is still profitable for them. They might be just tossing the money around within the casino, but nonetheless they are posting good numbers because not everyday will there be a huge winner.

There's still a lot of depositors at the end of the day, and most of those depositors don't get their money back.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What game will you choose for one shot big bet? on: February 21, 2024, 02:28:05 PM
Either parlay it in a sports bet--particularly eSports or basketball--or just go ham in slots. I've recently won good money in slots and I know it's just luck. I wouldn't bet it to be my saving grace though when I'm down a huge percentage of my bankroll and for it to pick me up from the dirt. I've seen it happen to other people, but I don't have the confidence nor faith that it can be the same for me.

As for sports betting, I can analyze games fairly well in basketball and eSports that I might get a decent money off of the remaining 10%. As for getting the bankroll back, it's something that I think would be a miracle however it's worth a shot with sports betting than casino games.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 01:58:01 PM
I never really know the whole story, and for all we know he could be telling lies, or she could be avoiding the truth. Anyhow, knowing they don't have conjugal responsibilities to each other, they should have went for the 50/50 split before actually leaving each other. Imagine winning that kind of amount, only to pay taxes and legal fees afterwards just because one is greedy enough to take it all instead of splitting the bill evenly. That's a clean $950k for each of them if they just went for the split, no lawsuits or publicity of their names involved!
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 20, 2024, 11:53:23 PM
Just like other huge companies, I don't think it's necessary to know who's who in the organizational hierarchy of a casinos except for its executives. The low-ranking employees don't need to have themselves exposed as they are doing what the executives ordered. At the end of the day, should a scam arise, people will be looking for the high-ranking officials to be put behind bars and not those underlings who are only following orders.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 20, 2024, 07:35:13 PM
I don't worry about this guy losing that kind of money so much. As far as I can remember, he also made a vlog showcasing how much eh actually earns in a month from his YouTube earnings and other streams of revenue and he's earning quite well (around $25-$30K). The rage was quite fun to watch, considering that this guy has been all talk ever since he started. Anyway, even rich guys like him get fucked by casinos and bad luck, so the same thing can happen to us normal folks who are looking for fortune in this fortune-grabbing activity.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Demand for bitcoin exceeds supply by a factor of ten? on: February 20, 2024, 04:17:24 AM
You forgot to take into account the existing coins that are being traded in the market on the daily.

That 900 being minted daily is on top of the circulating supply, too, so there's no undersupply or overflowing demand happening as the circulating supply kind of fills in those demands. It also goes up and down every single time, and you can't expect a bear market to keep a consistent demand similarly to that of a bull run.

Now if demand somehow overshoots and most bitcoins in circulation already belong to a lot of hands, you know what's next. However in the mean time that's not happening, as there are still loads of bitcoin available for grabs in exchanges and people are still not having that extreme FOMO that occurs during bull runs.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Owner of 8K bitcoin lost in landfill threatens to bankrupt local council on: February 20, 2024, 02:29:41 AM
What drives him is not logic nor reason but rather his insanity and regret. I don't understand how it would be the local council's fault if he trashed his hard drive knowingly. If he were to be granted rights to dive into the landfill and possibly get the hard drive, what are the chances that it's not severely damaged by corrosion and other elements? It's been years, and even the strongest metal, when exposed to the chemicals, moisture, and other such things in the landfill, will corrode or possibly even disintegrate. It's time to give up that 8k bitcoins. This dude is just moved by false hopes.

Post some vods or replays in YouTube and send it here then perhaps people might be interested if they think your content is the right one for them. Selling yourself in a forum wherein people would rather just play themselves than to watch other people do it is hard. If you have the charisma and the natural ability to entertain people, one post of your vod will have people be instantly interested in your content.

Plz anyone help plz

I don't know how being a girl will help with your case but that transaction has very low fees (6 sat/B). Either you will have to wait for a long time (surprise) or have a paid accelerator do it for you. Also, there is a possibility that this transaction is already dropped by some nodes and only a handful remains holding on to it. In essence, your bitcoins still lie on where it was sent from. You can try and import that wallet to another wallet and raise the fee from there. That's what I did with the same issue as you have. Accidentally placed a very low fee when the mempool is filled with transactions over 30 sat/B while I have mine set at 13 sat/B.

294  Economy / Services / Re: 3 Jobs available on: February 19, 2024, 01:33:30 AM
It says there that I will need to bid at least 1 eth in order to secure a job that is supposed to give me money in exchange for my skills alone. Why is this so? If I'm looking for work, I don't want to pay money upfront to receive said work. How is this site named working for bitcoins when I have to have some money first before I can start working? Huh

Also, that 15 ETH posting for a data entry job is sketchy.

You are Bidding on the Job, when bidding on a job, you are indicating how much you'll charged to do the work. This is different than bidding for an item/product/service, where you are indicating how much you will pay for it.

That makes sense. I tried sending my bid and see what comes up with the offer. I'm interested in knowing what kind of jobs are there that is legitimate and is worth of my time since I literally just work 20 hours a week and have a lot of time to burn somewhere else.

296  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like to ask a crypto casino owner? on: February 17, 2024, 06:40:18 PM
What fascinates me with casinos is how can they stay liquid and profitable in a sea of crypto casinos vying for the same customers? There's just tons of crypto casinos out there that it's hard to be on the top unless you spend a lot in advertising and promotions. How do they stay on the positive side? Even if casinos are purposely built to always win in the long run, if the space is cutthroat, I guess it will be hard to make some money off it. Like, how do they do it?

Another thing is, why do most casinos hire shitty customer support representatives? I worked in that field, and even I know that one can easily respond to emails within an hour, and I used to handle 3 different live chats plus 1 email support on the side, and I can close out tickets and respond to everyone within 15 minutes. Where do they source their people?

298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 17, 2024, 11:30:55 AM
You're a hypocrite if it never crossed your mind to make money off of gambling.

Most of the gamblers I know are in it for the money, and not for the entertainment that other people seek. It's possibly because they saw other people making money off it, and they want to be in a similar position to escape their boring day jobs or just make money doing something that they think is easy.

They truly risk their money, in the false hopes of making more than what they originally staked for.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most challenges faced by gamblers on online casino platforms? on: February 15, 2024, 11:58:32 PM
Most of the issues I have with casinos of recency are how fucking assertive they've become with forcing gamblers to deposit money in their gambling accounts. It's not like they'll lose access to these wallets anyway cause as far as I know crypto wallets are immutable and would remain existent regardless if it has crypto in it or not. But the way these casinos just force their users into depositing money by means of including it in the sign-up process is quite an audacious move if I do say so myself.

I wanna have those old casinos which are just chill and are more honest when it comes to taking care of their gamblers. Those who don't force you into depositing money from the get-go and are okay with you not depositing money for months on end cause sometimes it's just that slow and it's not like you're gambling everyday.

That is how they make money, and they don't know that it's also one of the reasons why people just turn their backs on them.

I remember back in the days where only a few crypto casinos were existing, they just simply let you be and even have a faucet integrated in the platform just to let users try their casinos when they're out of balance. Gone are the days wherein casinos are proactively wanting to let you stay without those intrusive ads or notifications of making a deposit by providing you the best experience even when you're out of funds.

Those email notifications as well - even if you don't subscribe to it, they'll continuously send you promotional emails to get you to deposit even when you don't want to.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be very careful and attentive when selling your bitcoins on: February 15, 2024, 11:48:54 PM
This is why you should always check the order books, see whether the exchange is liquid enough to take on your order, and double check everything before commencing the trade. I'm not sure whether Binance is available on that part of the world, but if it is, then he will not have any problems regarding liquidity. Or he can even try and do a P2P to make sure that he's paid a somewhat fair market price. Ultimately, the neglect is on the end of the seller not checking things before executing the trade. An unfortunately expensive 'charge to experience' moment for this man right here.
