281  Other / Off-topic / Re: To people begging for money ever say please? on: November 05, 2015, 05:03:35 AM
I'm working in a major city tonight. I took a walk to get some food then headed back to the hotel. On my way back not one but two people asked me for money. The first, a woman, said "gimme a cigarette or some money!" The second, a man, said "got any change?"

I can't imagine what it's like to be homeless. I can think about what it would be like but I have no clue, not even close, what it must feel like to be homeless.

I can imagine what it's like to not have something, standing next to someone who does, someone I may need something from, and how I need to act to win that person over. It start's with respect and understanding for the position I have in the transaction.

To people begging for money every say please? They didn't to me tonight. Have they for you?

Am I just being an ass?
i understand the premise, i would like a please, thank you, etc .but the situation they are in is tough. i think i would not post it in economics . maybe religion or karma post's  if there is one

Yeah, yeah, i think you're right. I always try to be respectful back because I have no idea how difficult there side of the world must be.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: "Jamie Dimon: You're Wasting Your Time With Bitcoin" - Reactions? on: November 05, 2015, 03:53:06 AM
"There will be no currency without government control" He is unfortunately right on that point. We will have government regulations of bitcoin in the future.
Just wait a bit when bitcoin will be bigger and worth more, then government will strike.

Haha, literally he's wrong. Bitcoin exists. Bitcoin is currency. Bitcoin is not controlled by government.

284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: November 04, 2015, 09:56:55 PM
Nowadays, I think it is much easier to make $1 in Bitcoins in an hour or less. You can either join a signature campaign and make good constructive posts, or you can start trading, or use a faucet and refer other people so that your earnings could increase.  Smiley

Or you could find any job in the world that will pay you greater than $1 an hour and us that $1 per hour earned to buy bitcoin. (Shh, this is a well kept secret!)
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To The Moon on: November 04, 2015, 09:45:02 PM
I'm pretty sure that the current price surge is caused by the greatest pyramid scheme of our times in combination to the Chinese capital controls and that the collapse will be horrendous. I might be too bearish, but I don't think it'll be easy to climb back at the 450$ levels after a crash at this point.

What's the ponzi scheme you're referring to - fractional lending? How would that  (this week/month) have caused the surge in price? What's happened in that world to be the catalyst?

It's probably good that it's not easy to climb back...time spent at $450 will validate the rise to $450.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To The Moon on: November 04, 2015, 09:38:24 PM
We hope the price up to $600/btc in 2016
We know after opening at $400 / btc 12 Hours ago
The price of bitcoin has peaked $462 recording a 13.4% increase in a single day
So.. nothing is impossible reach more than $600 for the next months or the next a year

Actually, Coinbase is reporting the price crossed $500 earlier today (topping out at $504).

You should realize that there is no open or close for bitcoin exchanges, right? They're always running...there's a price quote at any time of day. There's the ability to buy/sell at any time of day. So your "open" price is going  to be someone else's "mid day price" or "close price" or "after hours price"
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the website that creates encrypted key via mouse cursor on: November 04, 2015, 09:35:32 PM
www.bitaddress.org, as Meuh6879 has stated, is the only site I'm aware of that uses mouse movements to create a private key.
You should use that site only, compare to some random .net site, since it is more tested and reliable.

Remember to use it in an offline manner, for better protection.

Uh, I don't think one can use a website in "an offline manner"...that kind of goes against the rules of websites. You must be ONLINE to access them!

Great site.

Yeah guy, here's a thread on how to do it offline: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1237857.0

I think what you mean is that obviously you need to be online to access the website for the first time...
288  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 2015 Bitcoin Debit Card Reviews on: November 04, 2015, 06:51:41 AM
WageCan
https://www.wagecan.com
WageCan was founded and registered in Seychelles, and based in California and Taiwan.
WageCan provides a bitcoin wallet with interest and bitcoin debit card.

WageCan offers interest, that's new!

Does anyone know their interest (or Daily Bonus) rate? It's not stated on their website.

Thanks
289  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase won't let me sell. on: November 04, 2015, 06:35:43 AM

What a joke that place is.  No wonder why bitcoin hasn't went mainstream yet, when the world's biggest bitcoin exchange blocks you from withdrawing or selling your "own" (again, I question this) bitcoin.

Every traditional bank works the same way. When you deposit money in a bank your exact, physical currency isn't put into some envelope awaiting your need to use it. Your money is pooled with everyone elses and it's used as the bank deems fit and they have the duty to pay you out when you want to be paid.

I can't explain the grayed out button though, I hope it's just a glitch. The sell button is not grayed out for me...and I have more profit to take than you do per coin.
290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New here on: November 04, 2015, 06:32:02 AM
Synch up a bank account and send over some money!

Couldn't be more easy if you live in the right countries. If not there are other good options.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: America's new debt ceiling - $19,600,000,000,000 on: November 04, 2015, 06:17:28 AM
Not to worry!

The US Gov is hodling the bitcoin confiscated from Dread Pirate Roberts so a few more months of price appreciation and the debt should be easy to payoff, debt snowball style!

They already auctioned that, but who knows maybe they will introduce tax payments with bitcoin.

Then they will HODL that, and as the US debt grows, so does the bitcoin price, they will use that as a hedging mechanism to cancel the debt Cheesy

You think they didn't auction some of it to themselves or keep some of it?
292  Economy / Economics / Re: I think we just started a bubble. on: November 04, 2015, 05:58:41 AM
yep I think so too. We are getting too hyped about this bitcoin's price. I expected to see the price steady at 300-320 but it is shocking to find that it jumped to 440 right now. Be careful as this is the real bubble and someone gonna take advantage of this to make some. The price of bitcoin now is in our's hand don't let it out of control

Yes...the price of bitcoin is in our hands. Keep buying the price keeps going up, I...i mean we...need to make some money. Don't sell. I'll tell you when to sell...I'll sell first and then  I'll tell you that I've made my mint, and you should try to do the same.

We all need to relax and just watch for a while. It might pull back, it might not, but nothing about the price takes anything away from the real value of bitcoin.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: The truth about the current bubble on: November 04, 2015, 05:53:50 AM
did you read this because you hope it is just a bubble?
you sold everything yesterday and hope that the price goes down to buy again?

please be honest.

I read this because I thought you knew the truth of who was buying into the price and running it up...but alas you are like everyone else. No explanations only speculation.

I did not sell. I do not home the price goes down again.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: How does a central bank actually implement a change of IR throughout the economy on: November 04, 2015, 05:52:24 AM
Banks must maintain a certain balance (their "reserve") at the central bank. In order for a bank to prevent their reserve from going below the limit, they borrow the money from banks with excess reserves. By competing with banks for those excess reserves, the central bank can influence the interest rate that a bank must pay another bank. A bank will then lend to customers at a higher interest rate in order to make a profit.

In short, one way the central bank controls interest rates is by indirectly controlling the interest rate of money available to banks for lending.

Great explanation! It's all about loans and cost of borrowing money drives everything else. Crazy, huh?

Welcome and happy birthday!

Why do you want to start mining?

Why do you want to trade BTC?

Understanding your goals will help you decide what course to take - mining and trading may not get you to where you want to be.
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Bitcoin User on: November 04, 2015, 05:45:46 AM
What do you plan to trade BTC with?

My suggestion would be to trade it with Litecoin or fiat...you can do both with Bit-x, see my signature for a link!

Welcome to the Forum!
297  Economy / Economics / Re: Milion of BTC lost and Milion BTC in hand of few people. A danger? on: November 03, 2015, 12:37:40 AM
They can certainly influence the market and price of bitcoin but I don't think they can truly damage the economy. Don't worry! And any big moves would be somewhat traceable back to these few people so they wouldn't be able to do something without a lot of people suspecting foul play.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC gives thumbs up on criwdfunding on: November 02, 2015, 04:58:35 AM
WOW, this is cool. The IPO market just got a lot more accessible to casual or cause-passionate investors.

Of course now there will be more novice investors taking greater risks, but the burden of caution is with the buyer, no? Let the buyer beware, yes?
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: November 02, 2015, 04:53:07 AM
Not today...today is Sunday, the day of rest. There's no need to earn any money today!
300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I can earn from the Signature campaign? on: November 02, 2015, 04:49:57 AM
yeah thats right, because i notice in some users are posting nonsense because they just only want is to earn and not totally to discuss and that users are almost those on newbie rank.

Speaking of posting nonsense to get paid, maybe you guys should let this thread die. The OP has never made a second post...and started this thread a long time ago. If you need any more reason, consider that there's at least 5 threads like this - same topic - AND and overview on bitcointalk sig campaigns in the Services Discussion board!

Let's let this one die...
