COINZ MINED:

632082.0988404 / 16745027.00 MCZ

Go to this link, if you want to see how many mangocoinz has been mined already Smiley

https://www.mangocoinz.com/android/

+1 Radio-Active. I missed the coin counter at all.  Roll Eyes

It's unfair that the iPhone users get to use the app first, and earn but, us, Android users can't even use the app.

You can still mine the coins since an Android miner already exist. So, I cannot really understand what your point is.
Please, give the devs the time to put all things working.

Think Tank Reignites Debate Over Bitcoin Mining's Environmental Effects

Quote
Debate about the environmental effects of bitcoin mining has resurfaced following claims by an Australia-based sustainability think tank that bitcoin could eventually consume 60% of annual global electricity production.

According to the Long Future Foundation's website, its calculations are based on the assumption that 1 BTC is valued at £1m, the cost of mining this resource is $500,000 and 3,600 bitcoins are produced every day.

"Bitcoin miners can get power cheaply for $0.05 per kilowatt hour (kWh) which means that they get 20 kWh per dollar spent," notes the website.

I want to check if a user is banned, is there a place that i can go or do i have to ask the global moderators directly?

I agree with grue's reply. However, You could also check for gaps in user post history of roughly 3,7,14,30,60 days (the same duration of bans).

To check an user post history, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=387574;sa=showPosts, replace your uid (the number after u=) with the one of the user account you're checking.

where can we see total outstanding coins?

Maybe you can reach an understanding of how much Mangocoinz (MCZ) are out there, by looking at this link: https://www.mangocoinz.com/rich_usernames
285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn by mining? on: May 28, 2015, 08:28:53 AM
I agree with the above.  It is very difficult to earn with mining right now.  Maybe when the next gen comes out there will be a better opportunity but I doubt it.  I think the best chance is to mine an alt coin and hope for a pump.

Some things are actually great if you watch difficulty it is amazing how little it's been moving up.   Price is slowly moving up, granted no huge jump.

It all depends on electricity and vat/import tax.   If setup good you can ROI and make btc.

IMO, If OP cannot achieve ROI with mining, he could consider directly buying BTC instead. While price apparently is slowly moving up he may still save a lot of production costs (electricity, taxes, miners, etc.) by buying BTC with fiat currency.
286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn by mining? on: May 28, 2015, 08:20:17 AM
I am newbie in bitcoin marketplace. Last one months I try to earn bitcoin by solving captcha. But the amount is too minimum.
I have found that bitcoin mining is good way to earn btc more. How do I do?
I am looking for complete mining guideline. How I find?

BTC mining could be an effective way to earn more BTC only if you get very cheap electricity and low tax rates. I suggest you to give a look to difficulty rate here and to run a few simulation here before investing in BTC-miners. You could find mining help & guides in this forum Mining board & child boards (Mining support, Pools, Mining software (miners), Hardware, Mining speculation).

=snip=
In this case the hacker used social engineering, there were no security vulnerabilities in the forum software, in fact the hacker likely had little technical skills at all, they just needed to convince the hosting company they were theymos and the hosting company let them in. There really isn't a whole lot we can do about attacks like that, there are thousands of ways to execute social engineering attacks against the forum, it is of course a good idea to check what information your host requires to let you reset your account, and it would also be a good idea to inform the host there may be social engineering attacks, but I mean I can think of a million other ways this could be done and I can't think of many ways to prevent them. What we really need is a more layered approach, for example if we had javascript-side PM encryption then we could store the PM's fully encrypted on the server and prevent against even a root attacker from grabbing them. The forum already stored passwords in a secure manner. Honestly the only things we need to protect are PM's, email addresses and passwords/security questions.
=snip=

The man in the loop is always a security flaw; however, you cannot remove it from the process. So the best response to such events will be recovery preparedness - since you'll always need to recover from unavoidable hacks - while trying to mitigate the frequency of such attacks by educate parties - e.g. the host - to use best practices like safer off-line authentication, etc.

=snip=
Additionally I would highly recommend the account recovery feature be changed. I think that it should require both a recovery email and answer to security question, currently it only requires one of those. I would think this would greatly reduce the amount of hacked accounts.

So when does the new avatar term start? are people getting paid? I think you guys should fix this asap specially before people gets tired of wearing an avatar indefinitely of a brand that isn't paying them to do so, and they may move onto other campaings.

everyone will be get paid today as our campaign manager did not logged after 21th May so that is the reason for delay of payment, today dadice team hired a new interim manager for this.

Would it make more space for new members in the avatar campaign? It would be great to include more enrollees into Dadice Avatar campaign.

FSA army is being funded & armed by some NATO countries (not all of them) but they are in large part funded by Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies who "dislike" Assad regime; however, foreign countries like Russia among others are also helping the Assad's Syrian regime with funds, weapons and training too.

There is a big difference between Russia arming the Assad forces and NATO arming the FSA. Assad's forces are never going to defect to the ISIS. In the past four years of Syrian civil war, not a single Syrian soldier has defected to the ISIS. But that can't be said about the FSA. FSA is a complex coktail of various factions, some of which are even more radical than the ISIS itself.

You're still mixing FSA with IS. At least some Syrian soldiers defect to FSA (FSA was originally made of Syrian Army defectors) but not to IS. IS not belonging to FSA, nor the latter is controlling the former.

296  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: May 20, 2015, 11:02:25 AM
IMO, it shouldn't be. happy hour is for the active players and not for those who only play when there is something like it. If users are active, they will definitely dont miss the happy hour Smiley

Happy hours should announce before hand because it is not limited to only regular players on PrimeDice. In fact it should be announce like at least 24 hours before it so that people could know and follow this event but it seems that this event isnt regular yet. This could be considered as a good advertisement for PrimeDice since people are usually attracted to a site with high faucet amount.

+1. Being aware of next Happy Hour timing would help improve user partecipation to PrimeDice gambling, thus boosting their profits. If I had known timings beforehand, I would have partecipated often because I may have better organized my online/offline schedules to be able to partecipate to it.

Overstock Invests in Broker-Dealer Ahead of Decentralised Stock Market Launch

Quote
A new Wired report suggests that US retail giant Overstock has completed a working demo of its decentralised stock market Medici and that the project may soon be presented to US regulators.

The report is one of the first to suggest the Medici project is moving forward past conceptual stages following its October launch. Updates on the project have since been scarce with two high-profile developers leaving in February and Overstock submitting an SEC filing related its proposed issuance of digital securities in April.

The latest Wired report further indicates that Overstock has purchased a 25% stake in Pro Securities LLC, a New Jersey-based brokerage firm on whose electronic system it says Medici has been built.

I don't think the war between ISIS and US can end easily. Aren't you curious where ISIS get the weapons?
http://www.pri.org/stories/2014-06-17/where-are-islamic-militants-iraq-getting-their-weapons-answer-surprised-us

Code:
Many of the weapons used by the Islamic militants known as ISIS were simply captured from its enemies in Syria and Iraq. But ISIS also has foreign backers — some of whom are "friends" of the US.

If ISIS lose, so the "friends" lose a customer. Is there a conspiracy behind it?

The ISIS is being funded and armed by the NATO and its allies (either directly or indirectly). For example, a few months ago, the NATO delivered hundreds of millions of USD worth of advanced weapon systems to a rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA) unit in Syria, hoping that they will use it against the pro-Assad forces. This unit, numbering some 5,000 fighters, simply defected to the ISIS a week later, taking the entire weapons cache with them.

Using your example as justification for you saying IS (ISIS is their former name) being funded & armed by NATO & other countries is a careless and absurd thing since it's equal to say the KGB & Soviet Union were NATO & United Kingdom puppets because Kim Philby he once worked for them before defecting to Soviet Union, after his departure from MI6.
IS (formerly ISIS) instead is mostly funded by rich like-minded Sunni people from Saudi Arabia, the Gulf countries and overseas Sunnies. Also, Saudi Arabian Govt is known to use the export of Wahhabism both as a foreign policy tool as well as a way to steam off social discontentment by providing their subject with a way to wage a jihad abroad instead of them waging one into the Kingdom itself. Last, but not least, IS fight against Syrian & Iraqi Govts also have a Shia–Sunni strife perspective alongside being a conflict by proxies between Saudi Arabia and Iran for regional dominance.
