281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can be done with those who think Crypto is just a get rich quick scheme? on: February 10, 2019, 09:43:14 AM
Like who would want to live in a future where Bitcoin is still the number 1 cryptocurrency? Do people really see cryptocurrencies having fees in the future or even having such a long confirmation time

nobody, but i don't see you coming up with a better solution Cheesy

you see it is easy to close your eyes and only criticism everything that doesn't concern you but you don't get to do that unless you have actually done something better yourself.
so far all we have are a bunch of altcoins that are either shitty copies that were created for pump and dumping or original projects that have more issues than bitcoin.
so unless you have a better coin in your sleeve you should stop hypothesizing about bitcoin.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins (USDT, Tether, TrueUSD ect..) on: February 10, 2019, 09:31:33 AM
I mean its really a life saver! You buy a coin, the coin raises 25%, You sell the coin for Tether, If you repeat this 4 times, you now have 100% profit!
it is not these coins that give you profit, it is that altcoins pump that gives you profit. also it is about your trading skills, if you are good at trading then you can make profit regardless of using these stable coins.

Quote
What do you guys think about stable USD coins? Does anyone here do this same method im doing? Smiley
you aren't talking about any "method".
but yeah, people are using stable coins. the correct way of using them is:
- to temporarily switch to them whenever market is dumping and you want to stay out for a short time. otherwise you MUST go back to fiat.
- to transfer fiat value between exchanges.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - man arrested for stealing bitcoins and altcoins on: February 10, 2019, 09:26:47 AM
hopefully things like this lead to more development of decentralized exchanges and also push people towards them because i believe that the future belongs to decentralization of everything specially exchanges where we trade decentralized cryptocurrencies.
and for them to become better, people have to use them more. and sometimes these types of incentive can help with that.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dominance and Bitcoin Meme on: February 10, 2019, 09:13:02 AM
We are seeing BTC have nearly 52 to 55% dominance in the whole crypto market but while taking these figure about cryptomarket we also have to keep watch on marketcap of cryptocurrencies.

the whole point is that you should not look at market cap of cryptocurrencies because it not only means nothing but also it is meaningless when one is higher than another.

for example you can create a new coin by copying the code of some other coin, from bitcoin to any other one. then change their supply to 100 trillion. then after releasing it, you sell 0.01 of your coin on an exchange for $1. now your market cap is 10000 trillion dollars.
do you see how fake it is?
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10% Of Ethereum DApps Are Used On Any Given Day on: February 09, 2019, 09:51:17 AM
having a transaction doesn't  mean they are being used. it just shows that these tokens are still being traded and that is where some bounty hunter or some bag holder dumping their token or some other bag holder picking up what they dumped.

usage means when there is actually usage and that transactions that occur from user's wallets to anywhere but exchanges. all these transactions you see here are either from exchanges or to exchanges. and that is not "usage".
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The crypto market is starting to improve??? on: February 09, 2019, 09:23:11 AM
no, this is known as the initial bitcoin effect.

what we had was a lot of positive news about bitcoin and its adoption in the past couple of days and that led to a bitcoin price rise. as a result of  that altcoins that stopped dumping gained a fake USD rise because they could keep their bitcoin value so when ALT/BTC stays the same and BTC/USD rises as a result the ALT/USD prices seem to be rising. otherwise there has not been any change in the altcoin market.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you expect Bitcoin to "settle" once the market is mature? on: February 09, 2019, 09:09:16 AM
it is not possible to say. we are still on the ground floor and seeing the final step from here is not possible. all we know is that bitcoin is still rising and so far has only fulfilled something like 1% of its true potential so there is still a long way to go before we reach that stability level due to its mass adoption.

if i had to make a guess, i'd say it would take at least another 10 to 15 years and price would settle somewhere around $1 million.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally little fire on bitcoin got ignited on: February 09, 2019, 08:58:14 AM
the "fire" has always been there. they were just putting blocks in front of it so that you couldn't see the light and warmth of that fire burning so that they could accumulate more of it  without you interrupting them Wink

that is exactly why the volume of OTC trading has been rising recently while the price on exchanges is being suppressed.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Only Have Bitcoin on: February 09, 2019, 08:47:23 AM
It is hard to own a new token other than what it is already in the market. You spend your time and effort for how many months but after that some of the new token they dump it it. Your effort and time just wasted. I go for ether and bitcoint they are already tested by time.

you are just new, otherwise when you hang around for long enough you can see that what you just explained is a pretty common occurrence in the altcoin market. they keep creating these shitcoins, pump them for a while and then they die.
ETH is not an exception either, it is just a bigger version of the same pump and dump coins. even if you don't agree with me on that you have no way but agreeing that a coin with unlimited supply can not rise in the long run so investing in it is not wise at all.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: new bullish run on: February 09, 2019, 08:40:16 AM
I wish the party could continue, but I fear this may be a short term. If the good news coming up that the SEC are bound to approve the bitcoin ETF, then we may stay the bull for a long term. When is the approval is still a subject of uncertainty.

there is nobody left in the bitcoin market that cares about ETFs anymore. everyone that i know of have given up on their false dreams of SEC approving an ETF and they have been focusing on bitcoin itself and because of that they have been accumulating it for the upcoming rise regardless of what happens to ETFs.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on the current market dwindling? on: February 06, 2019, 10:12:08 AM
most of the altcoins will die because of the dumps that happened. and none of them will go back to their previous ATH prices that they gained during 2017, that was a one time thing but all of them will eventually be pumped again because that has been how they have always worked.

if you want to see big profits like 2017 then you should wait for the pumps to begin and also you should look into new coins instead of the old already pumped ones.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest to have pasive income on: February 06, 2019, 09:57:33 AM
PoS coins nowadays are no good because everything is falling down hard. you usually want to get involved during the pumps specially pumps that are market wide and are big and long. such as the pumps in 2017 so that you can make actual profit and not lose money due to long term decline of the coins you bought.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BEST time to buy bitcoin is not there yet,but coming soon, don't miss it ! on: February 06, 2019, 09:48:29 AM
the real question is whether you want to take that risk of waiting for a lower price that may not happen or even if it happens you may not be able to catch it.
we all know these types of final sharp drops never last long and unless you take the huge risk of leaving your money on exchanges that can scam you, you won't be able to catch it and that is only if you place the order at the perfect price level days before it happens!
294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Proof MtGox Dumping Caused Bear Market Alleged on: February 06, 2019, 09:42:47 AM
people always look for someone to blame when they lose money, and this case is no different. ever since the bitcoin price started dropping people started blaming others. sometimes these "others" can be imaginary too like "whales" and sometimes they exist but they are not as big or powerful as they make them to be in their heads.

the Mtgox case is one of them. people started blaming them ever since the price started dropping. and that has been exaggerated each time a new article about it is published up to this point which is even blaming the whole bear market on Mtgox!
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee on: February 06, 2019, 09:11:14 AM
I would like to hear your thoughts on John Mcafee.  Do you respect him and do you believe he has done more harm or good for the crypto world?

BatShit Crazy  Most people in crypto are nuts, so Mcafee is just one of many.

there is nothing crazy about McAfee. he is someone who saw a good opportunity to make a lot of money and took advantage of it. obviously from outside his actions seem crazy but when you see the motivations and what he gained you can clearly see that he was doing all that to make millions. and that is what he did with altcoin pumps and ICO promotions that he got paid to do.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is knowledge and knowledge is value and value is money on: February 06, 2019, 09:03:00 AM
What's the bottomline or point to your thread? What exactly you are trying to establish?

i would stop looking for any kind of deep meaning in topics that this user starts. i don't know why but he has been creating this type of strange topics recently. a couple of days ago he was saying we should prevent children from going to school and instead put them to work so that they can earn bitcoin!
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: February 03, 2019, 08:55:37 AM
how about we have some level of regulation with the activities in the crypto industry.

do you honestly think that regulations can eliminate these scams that you mentioned here or at least decrease the number of them drastically?
because that is the important  question that you should have asked yourself. in my opinion regulations won't do anything remotely like that because they are not meant for that anyways. for example if exchanges were regulated, they would still be hacked and you would still lose money but now you would have to pay taxes while losing money to a hack.

cryptoindustry is already regulated, you have to be define what kind of regulation.

the current regulation is:

maximising the profits and power for the centere around coinmarketcap, and the "cryptomedia",

you are intentionally bending and changing the definition for your own purposes.
the fact that newbies choose to look at coinmarketcap and decide based on the fake altcoin ranking there is their own fault it is not about regulation or centralization of the cryptomarket. and every one of them who falls for these altcoin rankings has already paid by losing a lot of money as these shitcoins which were supposed to replace bitcoin because they were rank #2, 3,... got dumped on them.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop emulating Crypto currency Traders finishing line on: February 03, 2019, 08:48:46 AM
you should never even follow other traders let alone wanting to emulate them! specially if they are making their trades public because all of those who do something like that are newbies not experts and they are trying to make profit by hyping others into buying the shitcoins they have already bought so that they can make a profit by dumping on them.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maximize the chance of return on: February 03, 2019, 08:33:53 AM
i disagree completely with your suggestion.

the only way to maximize the chance of return is to increase your experience in trading altcoins. not creating a portfolio for yourself when you have no idea how to trade and make profit.
you need to understand how pump and dumps work as your first act. otherwise you will be caught with your pants down.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin be like a bubble, how do we react to it on: February 03, 2019, 07:54:38 AM
Bitcoin seems to be a bubble to many people because its value is not stable, but it is not true.

those people don't know what bubble means. it is like saying apples look oranges to many people!
being volatile doesn't make bitcoin a "bubble". being over the intrinsic value makes it a bubble and $20k was a bubble. but also similarly when price drops and corrects the bubble also goes away. so if someone is talking about bitcoin bubble NOW that price has dropped more than enough to burst any bubble then they don't have any clue what a bubble is.
