981  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price are back up!! on: May 02, 2018, 09:02:06 AM
Bitcoin moves in cycles. In autumn and spring, as a rule, growth in summer and winter is accompanied by a global correction. I think that this year will be no exception. In the summer we expect a fall and then to the moon

this "cycle" or any other trends like this has never been valid so far. people keep coming up with them but they still fail to live up to the expectation. for example you say "winter is ... global correction" but you seem to have forgotten that last year price was rising super fast during winter!

and the summer thing is always true about altcoins because they say during summer kids don't have school and are investing like sheep in pump groups.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Make Government Legalize Bitcoin on: May 02, 2018, 08:53:11 AM
Is no longer news that various countries of the world are not in support of Bitcoin either as a means of payments or for trading purpose. This are been a challenges most Bitcoin users are facing throughout the countries of the world inexception of few countries.
true but also it is not news that majority of countries have already adopted bitcoin one way or another. either as a currency or a commodity or something else. but they have adopted and legalized bitcoin.
even in countries that the news spreads FUD about such as China they have legalized bitcoin already.

I have begin to see it that maybe they are thinking that adoptions of Bitcoin might bring a partial collapse of the banking system and also a means of curbing money laundering.
i disagree. bitcoin doesn't have to do either of these two things!
the banking system is a useful system that despite what people say, they are still cheerfully using it and they will continue using it even if bitcoin were to become huge.
and as for money laundering i have to say as long as there are much easier and more efficient ways of doing it, only idiots will use bitcoin for that purpose.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Improving Bitcoin. Not by the fork on: April 30, 2018, 09:34:09 AM
I do not think it is going to happen. Bitcoin is fine as it is, you may remember the saying "if aint broke do not fix it". When someone wants to improve bitcoin there is always an option to fork it.
So you think that is only imagination. So for me, If that will happen in the future. I wish bitcoin will be the same smooth transferring like ethereum.

nothing about ethereum is smooth. haha.
the network is clogged too often, the blockchain is too huge you can never run a full node, the transactions become slow and super expensive if a big ICO starts happening and almost every month someone hacks it and steals millions of dollars worth of ether and other tokens.
... so i hope bitcoin is never "smooth" as ethereum ever Smiley
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Russia - the internet belongs to the Americans, but blockchain will belong to us on: April 30, 2018, 09:18:19 AM
they can use blockchain technology like anybody else but as soon as they start thinking in terms of "it belongs to us" then they are effectively making it centralized and doing that will put an end to what THEY create.

the blockchain technology in form of a currency becomes successful when it is used by something like bitcoin in a decentralized way not the old centralized way that we are trying to get rid of.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zeex - The answer to our prayers! on: April 30, 2018, 08:52:56 AM
here is what i understand from this token!

you have cash like anyone else does and want to use this. you first have to buy bitcoin (or possibly some other altcoin like ether) to then buy this token on an exchange. then you have to go to their centralized platform to purchase gift cards for those vendors then go to those vendors like Amazon and use the gift card to buy stuff!

so here is the question. why the hell would i pay transaction fees, and trading fees to buy this token just to get a gift card? why should't i just use the bitcoin i bought to buy a gift card and use that? i can even get a discount when i buy gift cards with bitcoin. not to mention that a lot of places (and possibly even Amazon in the near future) are accepting bitcoin payments directly!
986  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin plays a vital role in the economy on: April 30, 2018, 08:39:12 AM
just because some people don't pay their taxes when trading bitcoin and cryptocurrencies that doesn't mean bitcoin is affecting the economy of the whole country! these same people would never pay their taxes when they do other things so the economy didn't change because of them.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s your thoughts on LTC? on: April 29, 2018, 11:18:42 AM
the usage of litecoin as a currency has been surprisingly good and it has been actually growing. this gives it a good potential in the long run to rise in price and stay up after the rise.

there is also the fact that bitcoin price is rising and it is known that whenever bitcoin rises LTC is one of the rare coins that follows bitcoin up when the rest of them fall.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bullish already? What alts are you holding? on: April 29, 2018, 11:07:35 AM
I am very happy to see my portfolio some of my holds did not recover yet but some of it recovered already and i already earned profit in some alts.
if you are holding any of your altcoins more than 2 months then you need a very long time to ever be close to recovery. you are already in 70-90% loss Tongue

What are your holdings for 2018?
you said it yourself! bitcoin is bullish so that is what i hold!
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to protect your wallet myetherwallet.com ??? on: April 29, 2018, 10:50:33 AM
by not using it! MEW is a web wallet and will always put you at risk when you use it. there is an option to download the source code for it and use it in offline mode but it is a lot of work and you'll still need to use an online machine to broadcast the transactions.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warren Buffett on buying bitcoin: 'That is not investing' on: April 29, 2018, 10:30:49 AM
well it is hard to take the words of this guy seriously when all he has been saying so far about bitcoin was that it is going to "end badly"; but so far bitcoin only got stronger and stronger. in fact it was even adopted by multiple countries as a real currency and now millions of merchants are accepting it.

the price is not rising based on faith or whatever else you want to call it. it is rising based on this usability of bitcoin as a currency and the demand for that.
991  Other / Off-topic / Re: Give a man a fish or teach him how to fish on: April 29, 2018, 10:15:40 AM
if they were actually giving them "fish" then it could have been a good thing and we could close our eyes on it but they are not even doing that. they are giving bad advice and making the situation in the altcoin market even worse and fill the pockets of the whale pumpers that reside in the market.
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overall bitcoin is having only 21 Million Supply!!!! on: April 29, 2018, 10:05:02 AM
it is not just about the limited supply. 21 million on its own is meaningless. if it was any other way then all these forks of bitcoin which also have 21 million and lots of other altcoins that have near the same number should have been worth a lot too!

what is important is the combination of this limited supply with the growing demand. it is always supply AND demand not supply alone. and the increasing demand is what's increasing the price.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker demands Bitcoin ransom on hacked website on: April 29, 2018, 09:59:49 AM
Wow that hacker is a determined one,  maybe he knows with other altcoins he can be trace especially the ICO via KYC.  This also maybe my day.
in order to participate in the ICO you need to give up your privacy not after the token was released so there is no longer any tracing when the token itself is used.
he is not accepting it because he knows it is shit!

I have a question, what does situations like this do to BItcoin price?  Does this increase the price or decrease the price  Can this be stopped?
nothing!
this one is a joke and even if it were serious it is still small. the biggest one was the ransomware which did nothing to bitcoin price!
994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin in for another low? on: April 28, 2018, 09:47:03 AM
I'm also less than convinced about any correlation between the stock markets and crypto. The crypto markets being much smaller are more susceptible to large swings on very small pieces of news. So basing any analysis on past data is even less reliable than in stocks.

there is absolutely no correlation between the stock and crypto markets whatsoever and there has never been any.

but for the past 4 months some people have been trying to say there is a direct relation between the two markets so hard. and i still don't know why!
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is that psycological on trading? on: April 28, 2018, 09:36:03 AM
thank you for a great advice, any special sign to marked the bubble will end?
any suggestion for me to figure out a good trade knowledge? especially cryptocurrency trading. Thank you

it is impossible to know the end which is why i always set a profit percentage that satisfies me. i varies from coin to coin and it depends on the trend itself. sometimes the pumps are too strong so you can expect even 100% profit from them. but i try to also not get too greedy. reaching a balance is the key.

also after some times trading and watching the market (the charts) you can see some signs like drop in volume and speed of the rise, double tops and resistance that can't be broken anymore and stuff like that.
trading in my opinion is all about having that experience and that can only be gained by spending a lot of time watching the charts.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternatives to Facebook on Blockchain on: April 28, 2018, 09:14:39 AM
i am very interested in this actually but i don't think it is going to be possible. i would to actually see a decentralized platform that is working peer to peer without any centralized authority, no accounts, no middle man, no coin, no token, only data and every data is being stored on the blockchain in a decentralized manner.

unfortunately so far i only keep seeing tokens being created with the promise of a decentralized facebook but they create a centralized facebook-like platform and only get some money to do it.

"facebook on blockchain" should mean you don't use any coin/token to get there. it should mean you don't visit a website in your browser that is registered by a centralized group/person to get there. it means you open it in a decentralized way like how you share files with torrent.
that is why i think it is not possible because it has the potential of getting too big in a very short time.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is that psycological on trading? on: April 28, 2018, 09:03:58 AM
since i have had that problem in the early days of my trading journey i can tell you that the reason for losing money after you buy something is that you are always buying that thing too late. the reason for that can be different. usually it is because when some altcoin is pumped that altcoin will start being advertised a lot and that leads some beginners to believe that altcoin really has some potential so they buy it not knowing they are buying into a bubble and after the pumping phase ended. and surely enough after that phase will cone the next phase called the dumping.

the solution is simply to
... stop listening to the hype
... start looking at the charts
... learn what a pump and dump looks like.

then you just buy before the pump ends and never invest in a coin that you see is being talked about on the internet a lot. for example if you opened bitcointalk and saw 10 topics about an altcoin that weren't there before then you stay away from that altcoin.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion about journalists talking about Bitcoin but are not Hodlers? on: April 28, 2018, 08:57:12 AM
first of all nobody can prevent anyone from holding a decentralized cryptocurrency such as bitcoin so there is not really much they can do about it. the employee's finances are also their own business.

secondly a reporter doesn't have to hold something to be able to write an article about it. but they do have to have enough information in that field to write something. and these two shouldn't be confused. for example they can write an article about oil and all that crap in middle east but they don't have to HODL oil or live in middle east. but they do have to have knowledge about it.
unfortunately i sometimes find out that majority of journalists have zero information about bitcoin but they insist on analyzing it.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Security of altcoins. What everyone has forgotten about on: April 25, 2018, 09:26:15 AM
I discovered a strange thing, a security hole of cryptocurrency, ....
Why did not anyone guess to make a personal fork of the source code of these coins on Github?
this has been happening from day 1 that bitcoin came out as an open source project. they have been forking bitcoin source code to create altcoins then that grow bigger and bigger until today where everyone forks everything that exists and creates their own.

you can this a "security hole"?!!!! why?

Quote
If suddenly tomorrow with the account, where the source code of coins is located, something will happen? What then?
You have a million coins in your hands. But you do not have the source code for this coin-network. What will you do? Coins in fact gradually wither and depreciate without source code.
unless you are talking about a useless shitcoin that nobody even cares about, your concern is weird!
as a developer you first have the copy of the code on your own machine with some backups which you code for and develope then push to GitHub not the other way around.
of course when you create a copycat shitcoin you never store it anywhere the editing can be done on Github and who cares if that edit caused some bugs! it is a shitcoin anyways.
1000  Other / Archival / Re: Is there is any chance to hit Bitcoin 11k ? on: April 25, 2018, 09:18:18 AM
the current rise is strong enough to go above $11k but first it needs to break the $10k resistance. for the time being the ATH is at $9700ish and even though a huge dump followed it but price never went below $9200 and that is a good sign.

if price breaks $10k in the following days you can be sure that it will shoot up to $11k afterwards for the sheer amount of FOMO that will come soon.
