1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: April 19, 2018, 09:20:11 AM
Winner of this year, ETH or BTC?
ETH had a couple of shameful hacks this year including the exploit in their multisignature algorithm which led to millions of dollars stolen.
it also had the ICO bans which is another scandal because it is the platform that is allowing scammers to thrive.
winner? LOL

The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency.
you say that only because you don't know what bitcoin is and have never used it.

The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage.
calling it "issue" is an understatement. it fails under heavy load.
not to mention that all that junk transactions has made it impossible to run a full node which is centralizing it even further.

The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.
only on paper but there is no actual world application for them so far.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?
bitcoin will keep the leadership as it has always done because it is useful. and even if by any chance it couldn't do that anymore i assure you that the "surpass-er" is not going to be ethereum. it doesn't matter how much they advertise it to you and how many shilling is happening at the end of the day there are deep seeded problems in this token that aren't going anywhere.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter banned advertising crypto currency on: April 19, 2018, 09:07:57 AM
If Twitter has really banned cryptocurrencies then it is one more blow on the prices. It is really difficult to grow quickly when many social media services are against you. We see it today. Situation will be solved of course, but need time.

they banned advertising of cryptocurrencies specifically ICOs which are scamming people and they did that a couple of weeks ago. in other words this news is already too old that you bumped, any effect that it may have had on the price has already been priced in.

also in the long run this may affect ICOs because they may find less people to scam in the future.
1023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finds Support At 8k on: April 19, 2018, 08:58:52 AM
8K is not bad at all, but still it's no bears to bulls reversal. The price should be heading to $8500, but at the moment it's only $8100. Should bitcoin reach $8500, then we know we're in a bullish trend and the price could increase to 12K again.

you can not expect the transition between bears and bulls to happen this fast. it will take time and lots of ups and downs before there is no more bears and bulls are back on top of everything.
same thing happened wit the opposite transition from bulls to bears a couple of months back.
1024  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the different between bitcoin, altcoin and ethereum? on: April 19, 2018, 08:48:20 AM
Most of the lesser altcoins are basically duplications of bitcoin with various parameters such as the block time changed.

altcoins are basically alternative coins, and alternative is refering to bitcoin. as an alternative to bitcoin.

as for being duplicates they don't have to be copies of bitcoin. there are lots of coins out there and lots of others that copy them. some may be original work that are being copied or copy of bitcoin that is being copied. for example litecoin is a copy of bitcoin and it has lots of copies itself such as Dogecoin.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in China. on: April 19, 2018, 08:35:25 AM
Bitcoins in China are under strict management. The Chinese government is stifling the development of bitcoin. They do not want bitcoin to affect their currency system. China is one of the countries that strictly prohibits bitcoin operations.

For now probably. I believe there will come a time when even the chinese government will succumb to the need for crypto and digital economics. They can't supress progress and bitcoin and crypto is basically a part of that

any restrictions and strictness in China has always been because of the fact that there has been a lot of shady activity there. for example you can not expect the government to stand still and do nothing while big websites call themselves exchanges and launder a lot of money.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or litecoin ? on: April 17, 2018, 09:13:06 AM
sure many prefer the btc, because btc the king of the coins. but litecoin also has the potential coin. so the both coin is nice. if I choose btc

only newbies prefer bitcoin because "it is the kind of coins".

everyone else with half a brain prefers bitcoin because they see the potential in a decentralized currency which is being improved and adopted by more and more people every day.
compared to that litecoin is a simple copy of the same thing which failed to reach the adoption after all these years.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 69 ETH, What to do? on: April 17, 2018, 09:03:11 AM
the problem with ETH price right now is that it is still in a bubble and also despite the drop it has not yet reached the bottom. the bigger problem is that it started a recovery (more like a dead cat bounce) so it makes it hard to do anything.
from here price may go higher a little before falling hard or it can fall down right now and you miss the chance to sell while price is still high.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Website to follow McAfee's $1,000,000 model on: April 17, 2018, 08:52:41 AM
from what i have seen from this guy, McAfee is the pretty form of the same pump and dump groups that everyone steers clear of. and the more we pay attention to him the more he succeeds in his way of running his pump group and earning money.
wasn't it enough that he admitted he is receiving a lot of money to advertise ICOs?
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: samsung is riding the blockchain train on: April 17, 2018, 08:37:04 AM
this is interesting but the more interesting and also relevant to bitcoin news is all the big companies that are starting to get involved with bitcoin one way or another. most of them are just adding bitcoin payment to their platforms but some like the computer hardware manufacturers such as Intel are starting to produce ASIC machines for mining which is so great for further decentralization of bitcoin.

in short everyone these days are getting involved with bitcoin and also blockchain technology in their own ways because they all see the potential in it.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Airlines accepting Bitcoin as payment & Other Retailers? on: April 17, 2018, 08:22:06 AM
there area lots of different services that are accepting bitcoin payment. from small merchants on the internet selling some digital goods to big retailers selling everything you need and to big luxury items like Lamborghini Wink
and this is constantly increasing with the adoption of bitcoin. it doesn't matter how much the media sometimes covers it up but the adoption is happening.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin Cash? on: April 14, 2018, 09:45:10 AM
there is never any future for any copycat coin, a useless coin, coins with lots of issues, ... and bitcoin cash is all of the above so it is considered a shitcoin specially since the community as a whole is against it.

however, that doesn't mean it will simply drop dead. there are shitcoins that are alive for years even though nobody even uses them and their trading volume is less than $20 per day!
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: April 14, 2018, 09:34:41 AM
nah, ethereum won't die that easily. it is a shitcoin for sure but that doesn't mean it will just die. there is a big and wealthy foundation with support of banks behind it which are pumping it to keep it alive even if it means wasting millions of dollars.
each of the previous major dumps have proven that.
ETH is on a downward spiral because of all the issues it is having and the fact that it is centralized but its demise will take a long time.
1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does war affect the price of bitcoin? on: April 14, 2018, 08:58:36 AM
Mr Trump has announced a precise crackdown on Syria, a war that would destabilise the world and would buy other assets for safety. Is bitcoin the best option? I find that bitcoin has indeed started to grow.

You are welcome to express your views and opinions.

there has always been tension between US and some other country in the world as long as i can remember. and not always they lead to war and wars don't exactly have to have a global effect.

with that said bitcoin has proven itself to be a very good thing to invest in and because of that you can be sure in case of a war breakout it will shoot up.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats the best coin to invest this up market on: April 13, 2018, 09:28:47 AM
i am not familiar with ZIL but TRX is a good option but remember that you are already late to invest in it as its price is not exactly at the bottom of it.

regarding other suggestion (EOS) it is also late, maybe not too late but near there since there was already a big pump and it is not a good idea to invest after a day of pump!

the best option to buy is always bitcoin specially when it is the only reason why some other altcoins went up in first place!
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60 minutes and Bitcoin value jumped to $7,800 on: April 13, 2018, 09:16:28 AM
this is why bitcoin is called volatile. and this is actually a small volatility, a couple of years ago if we were in the same situation the rise would have been a lot bigger than this, probably at least $3000 in one hour (30-40%) now it just was 14% rise in one hour which shows the volatility is actually decreasing, not by a lot but it is.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sudden Rise up mean Bull on: April 13, 2018, 09:03:08 AM
no a sudden rise up like this means FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and it is known that such rises among altcoins is not sustainable because the same people who panic bought will also panic sell just as fast when the correction hits and cause a big drop to form up.

if you check the chats you can see many of them have already started to drop against bitcoin as people are selling their altcoins to get more bitcoin in their accounts.
1037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency analytics (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dash) on: April 13, 2018, 08:53:49 AM
bitcoin price started rising and that meant altcoins should start their dumps more and as their value goes down against BTC the speed of it is not the same as bitcoin price rise which is why their USD value seemingly increases but the reality is that they are losing value.

at times like this investors are better off going back to bitcoin which is why the altcoins get dumped in first place.
1038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will hit 25k by the end of this Year? on: April 13, 2018, 08:46:58 AM
Some renowned Analyst has declared that Bitcoin will hit 25k this year!
it doesn't matter what they say, as long as i hear the words "some analysts" the first thing that comes to my mind is some random idiot on the internet talking out of his ass. and we all know even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

Quote
Don't worry Guys! as yesterday bitcoin has pumped to a record-breaking volume within two hours.
pump is what happens to a manipulated altcoin market not for bitcoin.
just as not every drop is a dump, not every rise is  pump either.
if you don't know the meaning of the word then don't use it.

Quote
We will reach to the Moon!
Have faith.
it is hard to predict the ATH by the end of this year but so far the rise seems to be very strong and it is on a good trend. if it reaches back to $9000 level i say it is safe to say we are out of bear market and entered the bull market so we can expect $25k-$30k and above by the end of the year.
1039  Economy / Speculation / Re: How did Bitcoin go from $0.10 to $10,000 ?? on: April 13, 2018, 08:41:29 AM
well it is hard to argue with someone whose whole post history is filled with FUD about bitcoin and only comes out whenever he loses money trying to trade bitcoin.
one must first want to be open to discussions to be discussed with.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Crypto Currency? on: April 12, 2018, 09:47:57 AM
my plan is to get involved with bitcoin as much as i can and learn more about it. also i plan on accumulating more and more of it as time goes by. i want to hold a very large amount of it in a couple of years when the mass adoption hits and price of 1BTC is out of my reach.

during this time  i will also study altcoins to my power but i will only use them as a tool to make more bitcoin.
