The short version of this is that it does not say anything like the US created daesh. It is one of the hundreds of reports about what is happening in Syria. It speculates on what might happen, including the possibility of militants forming an "Islamic state". This is what real intelligence looks like. Now that this is dated material it is no longer classified and anyone can read it.
Yeah yeah, another moron in denial. What else is new. When the next terror Hollywoodshow hits itīll be just another foregone conclusion a self-fulfilled prophecy. lol, RodeoX must be the White House press secretary in real life. Show me where it says what you claim. I'm not sure what you think I'm in denial about? You have not shown anything to support your assertion. Please read the document.

I see what you mean about their virtual monopoly. However i think it can be broken on price alone. Those guys simply CAN'T compete with bitcoin on price. And price is the most important factor in that market. These people are poor and may only be sending $100 per month. Amounts that low come with devastating fees. At this point my guess is that WU and MG can only loose market share. Fingers crossed.
I beg to differ. Their monopoly can't be broken on price alone. Let's take an example. Someone in the United Kingdom is sending Ģ100 to his relatives in Kenya. Western Union normally charges a commission of 15% (i.e Ģ15). Now a new service provider comes in to existence, and it charges only a commission of 5%. But still people will continue to use WU, as they are unwilling to use a new service provider. Maybe? People do love to follow a pattern? I don't know how they operate in Africa, but maybe WU and MG have convenient locations and that helps them own the market? My hope is that one brave African learns to use BTC and his friends see the benefit. I think we are going to find out in the next few years.

Ask if you can pay with bitcoin. If they say no, then ask "When will you have that set up?"

Yes. build another brick wall. The attacker(s) have a salted copy of your password and it ain't made of brick.

^^^^ In this case Western Union + Moneygram accounts for almost two-third of the volume. It will be extremely difficult to break their monopoly, as these two companies are acting like cartels. However, I think that a large part of the remittances to Kenya will be in the form of various illegal means, and may not be represented in this chart.

The fees will always be the lowest competitive price to operate the network. Satoshi did not design the network to make miners rich. It is a set of financial incentives to compete for processing fees. If a miner finds the fee to be too low he/she can refuse to process that transaction. Perhaps another miner will process it, or perhaps no miner will. In that case the fees will go up. Which brings us right back to the lowest competitive price.

Words, words, and more words. If I asked my dentist she would say bitcoin is a kind of tooth. lol

The OPs comments are just misunderstanding bitcoin. But the part that matters is this: Ulbricht was convicted of seven charges including three drug counts: distributing or aiding and abetting the distribution of narcotics, distributing narcotics or aiding and abetting distribution over the Internet, and conspiracy to violate narcotics laws. He was also convicted on a fourth count of conspiracy to run a "continuing criminal enterprise," which involves supervising at least five other people in an organization. In addition, Ulbricht was convicted on conspiracy charges for computer hacking, distributing false identification, and money laundering. This had nothing to do with bitcoin. He was running a drug house. However, I think the mandatory min. of 20 years is a travesty.

I see a lot of ...
This thread is not against tax as such... Good point. I was more thinking of those who responded with an argument against all taxation. But as you point out, there are other ways/things to tax. I'm with you on that subject. It is wrong the way we tax working people at a much higher rate that those who profit from the work. I like the idea of taxing us on what we spend.

For your notes: A neutron bomb is a tactical nuke that beams neutrons to kill everything it shines on. At the same time it yields a smaller explosion than most nukes and so it kills the population without destroying the city. Small nukes like "suitcase bombs" are low yield atom bombs that destroy dams, bridges, military bases. They are still big explosions and spread radioactive dust everywhere.
This video is most definitely not a nuke of any kind. If a nuke had gone off you would not be at work today and the countries emergency alert system would be on, schools would be closed; you really can't exaggerate how big a deal it would be. It could quite easily lead to an Earth ending nuclear exchange by the end of the week.
EDIT: Also, if a nuke of any kind went off then the entire world would know within hours. There is no way to hide the unique isotopes that would be produced. Every university with a physics department would detect this.

I see a lot of people denounce taxation as evil. But you know what I never see? A denunciation of benefits derived from taxation. Let's see a commitment to leaving the evil United States for the freedom of Somalia. Or only drive on private roads, collect no benefits, put your own hose fires out, and forget about calling the cops when your robbed.
Americans live in the most prosperous society in history and enjoy the safest times in all human history. Of course many will think this is wrong, but that is because these things are relative. Never have you had the opportunity to live to an old age, free of war and starvation, able to say what you want. This is as good as it gets and it is taxes that pay for it.
I'm not saying I agree with all the money goes, or that things are getting better. But befor we decide that taxes are a problem you will need to show me where the billions of dollars that support us are going to come from.

This seems a little bit related. A new learning robot. It learns how to do things by trying. Here it is figuring out how to assemble things. I think AI could already beat me at poker, but this guy looks like he will soon be a better dealer as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeVppkoloXs

For those changing their passwords today, you want a password like this: "Jo64@uHd!U7fcNe#@" And avoid a password like this: "superfly69"
The first one requires a brute force attack rather than a dictionary attack. It will take a long time for an attacker to find the first password and perhaps minuets to find the second.

Admins:
Please delete my account. The option to delete account seems to be only visible to admins. Thank you.
As stated above. You need to manage your account. Delete all your posts, (all 1 of them?). Then change your email and password to a long one. That's it. But he wants to delete his account, and theymos or another admin can do this thing only in few cases... and I think they are busy at the moment (due the recent attack(s) ). Delete all his posts will not delete at all his forum account. That's true. But i don't know if the admins will do this. I think they are going to tell him to delete his content. In his case it will take a few seconds to delete his post.

How do people fall for this again and again? ANY GUARANTEE ON RETURNS IS A SCAM!
If they could really get 10% then why the hell would they need your money?
