2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH will have forking soon, PoS and you know where the price shall go :) on: August 23, 2017, 03:15:45 AM
it is possible to see a big pump these days, i dare call it an exit pump for all the miners all the network and those with little mining farms who became whales on this coin. they will hype the news these days and milk it to make their exit on top with a good price.

but this is the end of mining ethereum and it will die, no more mining. all that investment down the toilet. most of users you see hyping ETH were mining it and wanted to dump at a higher price. now they will disappear.

and like all the pumps it will come long before the date (September?) and stop before it too and drop hard on that date.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey: Will BTC and BCH peacefully coexist in future and at what ratio on: August 23, 2017, 03:05:39 AM
eventually it will all come down to 2 things: difficulty and price

mining bitcoin is an expensive process and it needs a certain price to be profitable. apart from that you can not mine 2 of them at the same time, which means mining 1 is missing out on the other.

right now bitcoin cash's difficulty is artificially low which means finding blocks is easier and they have actually been found much faster too (about 2 min a block). and that made it profitable because of the price which they pumped prior to this.

in the long run, there is no way to keep the difficulty low like this. this was "almost" a one time thing. and on top of it the price will most probably decline too. specially in the short term that miners get all their profit and would want to dump.

now i don't see any real demand for bitcoin cash, there are no merchants accepting it and as long as bitcoin exists and is functioning properly it won't change. that means price of BCH can not go much higher than this.
high difficulty + low price can kill a bitcoin fork.
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mining cartel play games with the network right now on: August 23, 2017, 02:56:29 AM
this is exactly what i was talking about a couple of days ago before the first difficulty adjustment and before they lowered it a lot. miners were mostly waiting for it to come down then go there. very funny actually, this shows exactly what they want out of bitcioncash; more money!
with the lower difficulty they rushed to mine and they mined an unbelievable amount of blocks and with its price declining and the difficulty increasing (i read somewhere it should go up 340%) they will probably stop right away too.
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin (BTC) be killed by BCC soon? on: August 22, 2017, 06:24:37 AM
the keyword that OP failed to mention in all his ramblings is temporary
the difficulty is lowered temporarily.
the blocks are being mined faster temporarily.
bitcoin cash is more profitable to mine because of the above 2, temporarily.
the price is higher and pumped temporarily.
the drama that it has caused will last for a short time (temporarily.)

bitcoin price may drop but that will be temporarily.
and since the hashrate for bitcoin has not changed i don't thing anything else about mining "bitcoin" will change though.
2985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I dont understand this market ! One day UP and one day DOWN on: August 22, 2017, 06:14:22 AM
you actually understood the market well but only understood half of it. and that half is called pump
now you just have to understand the other half and accept is existence and you will be able to succeed in this market. the other half is called dump.

if you know this and really accept it you can see the reality of the market and then act accordingly to be successful. buy before the pump and sell before it ends which is when the dumping begins.

most people just see the first phase and think it can continue, but with altcoins that is not the case ever. it stops at some point and the next phase starts inevitably.
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whoever came up with bcash was a genius! on: August 22, 2017, 06:04:25 AM
it has always been about the money with everyone. some more than others. they want to maximize their profit. some by taking over the (bitcoin) project and be the center of it, some by creating a new altcoin (like the 100s of others) to make money, some by doing something so they can sell their products (that is right, companies like bitmain are going to sell so much more mining equipment now that there is an additional low difficulty thing to mine), ....

we can just hope that this greed and childishness doesn't cause any long term irreparable damage.

Honestly, I'm worried, and all the more because of the November fork. If BCH continues to be more profitable to mine, and Antpool (and presumably other Bitmain pools) point more and more of their hash rate at it, that's going to disrupt the BTC network. Longer confirmation times, stuck transactions. More importantly, the network will be secured by increasingly less hash power.

And what are new investors going to think of all this? In a way, if you don't understand the intricacies of blockchains, it looks like Bitcoin can just be printed by forking the chain.

i don't think bitcoin cash can remain more profitable for long. there are multiple things that will ensure that.

1. the difficulty won't stay like this forever. it will be re-adjusted at some point and with the bigger hashrate the difficulty will increase and make the blocks harder to find and reduce the profitability.

2. there is always the issue with price. currently there has been about 980 blocks mined in the past 24 hours (it should have been 144 instead) that is all free new coins that are rewarded to miners. it is about 6.8x more than what it should have been (around 12,250 BCH) and it will continue to be this high until the difficulty is increased again.
we all know miners sell their coins for profit and to pay the bills. that is 6.8x more sell pressure on the market than normal.
2987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Core coin crashing while Bitcoin cashremains stable. on: August 22, 2017, 05:52:30 AM
it is all a plan, try not to get caught in it not knowing what is going on.
the manipulators of bitcoin cash have been pumping it hard to draw the mining power and they have been successful for now, the blocks are being found every ~2 minutes now and that shows the power this manipulation had. but at the same time this is a very bad sign!

in a normal bitcoin there are about 144 blocks in a day meaning about 1800BTC is created daily and after a while this is sold and creates a sell pressure that market balances out and price acts as it does.

in the current circumstances of bitcoin cash there has been about 980 blocks in last 24 hours this means about a 12,250BTC was rewarded to the miners and that will be sold at some point very soon and the sell pressure is also that much higher. and that is 6.8x more pressure

2989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: buying btc with xrp... on: August 21, 2017, 06:33:19 AM
what you are asking is like asking how do i buy USD with groceries! you don't buy USD, you sell groceries and get USD in return. and you can do it if someone is willing to pay USD directly for your goods.

the same here, you dump sell XRP to get BTC in return. if there is a direct market or someone willing to give it to you directly then you can simple do it and if not you have to go at it indirectly.
if you want CAD for your XRP then if there is a market for it then you are in luck if not you have to sell for bitcoin and then sell that bitcoin for CAD to get what you want.

the price will be something nearly as (XRP price in BTC) * (BTC price in CAD)
2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am now almost a billionaire because of Vitalik on: August 21, 2017, 06:25:21 AM
What does this post real mean in the real world?
it means you will become rich if you are wise to use this market correctly.
and that means to buy these pumping shitcoins before they pump and make damn sure to dump them as soon as they are fully pumped and enjoy the money $$$ you get.

Quote
Are you really billionaire or about to become one ?
i doubt he is either of that!

Quote
Then why care posting here about that, why don’t you post your complete history rather than just two words including vitalik’s name in it?
because he is probably a bagholder of ethereum who bought it in the bubble when price was above 0.1BTC and now he is in a huge loss because price has tanked greatly.

Quote
You should elaborate when you are going to talk about your success so that people can really know what exactly made you reach your goals and we can dream about it too or applaud it for the instance!
this is a hyping etherum topic, it is clearly obvious from the last sentence too where he says it is not too late Wink
and it proves my suspicions about him being a bagholder.
2991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Manipulating mining difficulty? on: August 21, 2017, 06:18:10 AM
difficulty readjusted takes time (at least for bitcoin it does take time). and that time is about 2 weeks and for 2016 blocks not 1 hour. and i believe this means if they switch to bitcoin cash all of a sudden and mine a lot of blocks they have to wait for at least 2 weeks before coming back to bitcoin to be able to mine more blocks on a reduced difficulty.

and doing things like that will cause a lot of harm to both chains and price will not be kind to these kinds of action, it will drop and they will lose a lot of money because of it.
2992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin core and altcoins get dump Bitcoin Cash pumping. on: August 21, 2017, 06:13:57 AM
Of course it's getting pumped because of all the news about mining profitability and hard fork fud.

If it is profitable to mine the BCC now, will the miner mine it and then dump it to drive down the price?

Miners don't want to drive down the price of anything they mine - they want the price to rise. So they'll sell slowly, feeding the coins into the market.

Mining at scale takes quite a large investment now. The overhead is tremendous. So, inherently, miners are bullish long term on the coins they mine, so they are selling as little as possible -- just enough to cover expenses and keep their investments growing. So, if we see miners defect to Bitcoin Cash, it's because they are long term bullish.

Or because they are Bitmain and they are manipulating perception! Tongue

how do you know what miners do with the coins they get? there is no way of knowing that. they may as well sell it as soon as they get the reward or never sell it at all.
and miners switching to anything else only shows that they want more profit and just because mining that new thing is profitable for them at that point. that is how all the altcoin miners have ever acted so far. they keep switching from coin to coin and dump them as soon as possible.
2993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Specific about BCH/BCC vs SegWit? on: August 21, 2017, 06:00:49 AM
I am so curios so I am launching this thread,... It would be nice to have other pairing in crypto land. It should also be better for us.

no there is nothing nice about having "pairing crypto" or forks like this for something like bitcoin. if random people start doing what bitcoin cash did in the future we will be left with a lot of chains all doing nothing special and just dividing the mining power and reducing the main chain's strength and security eventually until they each die and all of that power come back to bitcoin.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit API Glitch? on: August 20, 2017, 06:15:00 AM
have you tried your code with some other pair? like buying something else like LTC for example. if you haven't then give it a try and if that was successful then it is that particular pair's problem not your code.

if that didn't work either, then it is your code.
i checked my own code (it is not python) and i am appending the "method" and "nonce" at the end of my request! maybe that is your issue. Yobit API is known to give weird error messages like that and confuse you.
2995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the coin is Promising? Give one example. on: August 20, 2017, 06:05:05 AM
well there are two things in my opinion:
1. the technology
2. the supporters

the technology is what we should look for but there has been so many cases that i find a very good coin with a good development but it never achieves anything.
then at the same time i see a terrible altcoin with terrible code, lots of bugs, hacks, losses, weak development, no real usage,... but a lot of supporters, a lot of shills, lots of money dedicated for advertising it and that coin grows big and becomes the most expensive coin and gets the second rank!!!

so you have to choose what you want. if you want the profit (which is the case with almost everyone here) then go with #2, look for the coins that have the most support and they are advertising it a lot and invest there to dump after its pump for the biggest profit.
2996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin core and altcoins get dump Bitcoin Cash pumping. on: August 20, 2017, 05:52:50 AM
what is bitcoin core? we have nothing with that name.

bitcoin didn't get dumped! it was a correction. a dump in bitcoin would mean going down to $1500 not going down only 10% and then jumping back up above $4000. please learn the difference!

and as for altcoins, that is their natural behavior. they get pumped then they get dumped. then they stay low for a long time and then start all over again: pump > dump

bitcoin cash rise on the other hand is an obvious pump!. i mean you can't really believe that suddenly out of nowhere a big demand for it showed up that caused a rise from $300 to nearly $1000 and that is a 233% rise! if you ask anyone what a 233% rise in 2 days means they will tell you that is a pump.
2997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCH threat to BTC? on: August 20, 2017, 05:43:38 AM
bitcoin cash is not exactly a threat to bitcoin but i believe that it will continue to cause some problems for bitcoin as long as it is alive.
the most obvious kind of problem will be attacks they make against bitcoin publicly in the social media. and we all know that FUD of this type will always harm bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
the other kind will be the mining kind. this may not be so serious but still it can cause some troubles as miners can switch anytime they want, leaving one chain with lower hashrate and the minimal damage is slower blocks and at worst it will be attack-able.
2998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thoughts on the recent and upcoming hardforks. on: August 19, 2017, 06:29:26 AM
what is the limit then? Why don't we do a fork every day? Fuck it, lets continuously compound the shit outta this, and all go buy Maserati's
I meant that as a reductio ad absurdum but if the upcoming 2x split has a similar positive(ish) outcome, we may see the flood gates open as everyone with a half-baked idea on how to improve the network comes out with their own hard-fork.

a new fork is happening almost every day these days.
it is all the new altcoins that are being created. they no longer are even bound to 21 million. they create any number they wish to create from 42 coins up to multi billion coins have been created so far. and many people have gotten rich from them and bought their Maserati's! and at the same time many got poor and went broke.
none of these means it is a good idea to fork and certainly nobody is preventing you to fork bitcoin or anything else and create a new thing out of thin air.

and as for these airdrops, there are a lot of them. some cost about 0.3BTC a couple of months ago and some never went above 10000 satoshi ever. whether they are called bitcoin something or a new name that doesn't matter, they are still an altcoin. some of them have more money and they advertise more and some are poor and nobody finds out about them.
2999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did Poloniex made people richer? on: August 19, 2017, 06:23:57 AM
bittrex made its users a lot more richer because they added bitcoin cash in the first day and the pump back then was up to 0.4 if i am not mistaken.

Now my question is, why would they do that?
because they wanted to take the safest route. they first waited to see if this chain can survive and also if it could they waited until it stabilizes first and takes its possible victims and then they got in.

Quote
And if they did it. Can we do the same with out bitcoin on our wallets too? Is it possible?
it is like half the topics on bitcointalk these days Smiley
yes you can. as other user said if you had any coins prior to Aug 1 in a wallet that you control they private keys of, now you have bitcoin cash in same amount too.

Quote
I thought we can only have one of the two, I mean we can only convert our bitcoin to BCC, but to have both is certainly a bonus, isn't it?
that is called buying something, you can also buy BCC with your fiat or bitcoin and have only one of them!
3000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin core team join bitcoin cash team if the value keeps rising? on: August 19, 2017, 06:09:03 AM
Will bitcoin core team join bitcoin cash team if the value keeps rising?

why would they?
bitcoin is still strong and there is nothing that can change that fact. so it will remain strong and continue rising in the future too even though at times it may not seem possible because you have fallen for the excessive FUD, but it will happen because bitcoin is the one with the real adoption so far.

this is a price speculation board for bitcoin and your question has little to do with price and nothing to do with bitcoin by the way. Wink
