1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum surpasses bitcoin on: May 21, 2018, 08:44:04 AM
that ranking system is making a mockery of the whole cryptocurrency world. it is neither based on technology nor innovation nor application! ethereum doesn't have anything over bitcoin or over the other coins that are under it for that matter.
they have listed the most centralized coins and ethereum is on top of that list.
1982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC as Smart Contract? on: May 21, 2018, 08:41:06 AM
bitcoin itself has limited functionality for smart contracts because it is not designed for them. instead bitcoin is designed to be a currency and a currency doesn't need to have such features. and smart contracts aren't really such glamorous things, at least they are never used in anything useful anyways.

but with second layers and side chains we can have all that functionality of smart contracts and a lot more in a much easier way because it is no longer on chain and because of that it is not limited by that. so the answer to your question is that bitcoin does have smart contracts but in a more efficient way.
1983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please Support Decentralized Crypto Exchanges on: May 21, 2018, 06:05:46 AM
i don't think anybody likes using these centralized exchanges which are pretty shady and risky to use, specially with all the scams that happened throughout history and all the money that they have stolen from us. but the problem is that using decentralized exchanges is much harder and it is not as fast either. on top of that they sometimes don't have the same volume so it may become harder to trade certain coins with lower volume, a big spread and a thin orderbook.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: green days are here!!!!! on: May 20, 2018, 07:12:46 AM
"green days" can be seen in two ways and neither of them are enough to make this topic about.
- you can see it as the pumps that are still happening in the altcoins even when others are dumping. and that is happening every single day so they don't go anywhere.
- or you can see them as when altcoins are majorly pumping all around the market in a market wide bull run with a lot of money pouring in. and that is not yet here,. we are still seeing altcoins getting dumped hard and all these small recoveries are more of a dead cat bounce than a "green day".
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you guys think about EOS ? on: May 20, 2018, 07:00:41 AM
to be honest i have not thoroughly examined EOS yet but i have checked it out. it seems like a good project to me, it has some potential there to be used as a popular DApps platform. and it may grow bigger in time. in order to give a better opinion i have to see it in action more, right now it is not used that much.
as an investment it is also good because it has nice pumps and also it is hyped up enough to be able to see a big pump. i don't know if it is the right time to get in now though.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trust you trading experience and don't panic on: May 20, 2018, 06:45:27 AM
"not selling" doesn't necessarily mean you are not panicking! in fact sometimes if you don't sell it means you are panicking. for example when you are bag holding some pump and dump altcoin and that coin is getting dumped and you don't sell, that means you are "panic holding" and that is a big mistake because it leads to a huge loss on your part because the dumpers aren't going to stop anytime soon.

it is important to pick your moments, sometimes it is best to sell and sometimes it is too late to sell and sometimes it is best to hold. you just have to figure out which action is the right thing for that time, you can't have the same solution for every situation!!!
1987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fundstrat price predictions wrong again! on: May 20, 2018, 06:24:50 AM
why do you think everyone agrees that it is impossible to make an accurate prediction when it comes to bitcoin? it is not about rise or fall, you can never predict bitcoin. so when you say it will rise or when you say it will drop you are basically making a weak prediction and when it comes to this current market where things are stranger than any other time and not clear which way it will go, then the predictions become even less meaningful.
1988  Economy / Speculation / Re: why more red days than green days on: May 20, 2018, 06:12:09 AM
these days people are mostly scared of the market and with all the altcoin dumps that are happening there is a lot of money that is currently exiting the market and many of them are exiting through bitcoin and bringing bitcoin price down. that means there won't be much enthusiasm as to buy bitcoin for the time being although if there were any real drops or any signs of a rise the money is always at the ready to jump back in and push the bitcoin price to the roof.
1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can 'Stable Coins' Address Cryptocurrencies' Biggest Weakness? on: May 20, 2018, 06:07:45 AM
it is not really a a "big" weakness to be volatile. it is just the way that you think.
bitcoin is still new and others aren't even useful to be talked about. and as a new currency it is bound to be volatile. for example if today a new country shaped up in the middle of nowhere and started with a currency its currency will be volatile until it grows and stabilizes. and bitcoin is the same it needs time to stabilize.
as for stable coins they all have some traces of centralization, some more than others, which makes then not as good ever.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus 2018 what's the impact to crypto market? on: May 18, 2018, 05:56:00 AM
unfortunately i think Consensus 2018 did more damage than good to the cryptocurrency markets.
from what i saw, this event was mostly filled with a lot of shitcoins, scams and ICOs and they were advertising crap more than anything else. and that is damaging to the whole crypto world because people are seeing these craps which are being advertised the most instead of focusing on bitcoin and what matters in this space.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China's MIIT Rates Ethereum as the #1 Coin on: May 18, 2018, 05:41:12 AM
The results and ratings are very controversial do you agree with their ratings?

yes because their rating is based on most centralized and easiest to control and track.
ethereum is the most centralized altcoin which is also big. it is also so easy to control it and they have been moving ahead with creating mining farms for ETH in order to increase their control even further. the transactions are also easy to track and also there has been a lot of ICOs that have been gathering identification of users by asking them some silly fake AML/KYC questions which helps with the tracking part.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any way to earn 5% interest/profit per month on: May 18, 2018, 05:27:20 AM
there is nothing that can give you a guaranteed %% profit per month without a high risk when cryptocurrencies are involved. there are investment options but most of them are scams. others that aren't scams are either too small or risky. for example freebitco.in has an investment option but gives 4% annually (per year), there are gambling sites such as crypto-games that give profit but it is risky because it is gambling.

since this is trading board, then you can pick up trading. during this downtrend you can start shorting coins if you know how to do it and if you are a fan of it. otherwise your other option is to find the pumping coins and buy them to take advantage of the pumps. an expert trader can make up to 100% per day at least 20 days of a month.
1993  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC/USD dangerously close to $8,000, but HODLers never give up on: May 18, 2018, 05:18:42 AM
Bitcoin would be the coin all the time that will has the most market cap and this is why the price is still quite good although it came from a correction.
After Facebook and Google, now Bing bans Crypto Ads. Perfect FUD for bears to drop the price further.
No one uses bing.
There's something wrong after the consensus conference, everyone was hoping there will be a bull run but it seems it doesn't have.

Well Bill wants cheap coins so he delivered perfect FUD for bears. We re sub 8k now. Not that I care. Until 2020.

nobody cares about Bing, nobody uses bing. even the news about Google didn't affect bitcoin price that much. not to mention that this is the repetition of the same FUD which means it won't be effective anymore because this trick was already used.
also it is too soon to  call this "sub 8k", price literary touched a tiny bit below $8k and jumped back above it. Cheesy
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs with the futures on: May 18, 2018, 05:07:19 AM
These people are doing everything they can to sink the great Bitcoin game, but they will fail because nothing can stand in the way of progress.

why do you say that? not so long ago when others started talking about Bitcoin Futures (like GME, NASDAQ,...) everyone was excited and were saying they are helping bitcoin grow. in fact price went from $10k to $20k mainly because of this reason.
so why are you saying this new Bitcoin Futures is created to "sink bitcoin" now? what changed?
1995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia to Criminalize Bitcoin Use.. on: May 18, 2018, 04:55:03 AM
This goes to show much the governments sees bitcoin as a threat. Because simply, they fear what they do not understand and have no control over.

not at all. THIS only shows two things.
1. people don't look at the date of the topics anymore. they just read the title and spam in it.
2. people easily believe the bullshit FUD rather than bothering to stop being lazy and check the facts.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seriously, who buys 'Jokecoins'?! on: May 17, 2018, 01:47:19 PM
the problem with this article is that it is assuming only certain coins which it covered are "jokecoins". the thing is he can call them "obvious jokecoins that nobody is going to doubt" but the reality of the altcoin market specially when it comes to ethereum tokens is that 90% of them are in fact jokecoins but their jokes aren't obvious so people don't recognize them right away. but when you look deeper you can see that they have all created some bullshit coin/token with 0 usage and by putting 0 efforts in it. some of them are actually a complete copy paste of another coin/token!
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BCH, LTC, and ETC price raised up? on: May 17, 2018, 01:41:25 PM
when the news about addition of some altcoins to a big exchange is released there is no reason for them to go up but they get pumped. and if there was a room for pump they would start getting pumped first before the news comes out by the insiders then by the rest of the world who find out about it. and if there is no room for it then there won't be any pump ever because of that news.
you can see ZCash got pumped already because of this news but i don't see any change whatsoever in the rest of them. maybe a little jump in them was because of that but nothing major happened and i wounldn't get my hopes up if i were you.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Consensus in May and Big Institutional Investments on: May 16, 2018, 06:39:43 AM
things like this usually increase awareness but they won't bring in that many investors. and it mainly will affect bitcoin because it is useful. there are a lot of advertisement in these for ICOs and shitcoins though which will make things even worse and make everything look bad.

So much for consensus being our savior, it looks like some asshole whales are hell bent on ruining the parade.

maybe they wanted one last shot at the cheaper coins while testing the support strength in the market at the same time before letting the price shoot up to the moon Cheesy
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitMEX Chief Predicts Bitcoin Price to Hit $50,000 in 2018.. Do you agree ? on: May 16, 2018, 06:25:39 AM
this year started with a bang but continued down the hill from there. mostly it was the correction of the bubble but then it turned into a bear market and lots of shorts and lots of manipulation in the other direction. now we are stuck in this state and the rallies will take longer to come back. which is why i think by the end of the year we may see $20k at best and won't see a new ATH at least not this year unless something big happens.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to spend my crypto, where do I go? on: May 16, 2018, 06:15:45 AM
So far its pretty hard to spend crypto on a daily basis.
it is not hard, it is impossible to spend altcoins because they are not currencies and nobody accepts them. there are only rare exceptions such as Litecoin that is accepted as a currency in some places but the rest of them are completely useless.

There are some services out there which allow me to pay my bills with it, but the fees are high and takes away the usefulness if I have to pay fees.
third parties are never trusted in crypto space they are 99% scams or scams waiting to happen.

Zeex is a new ICO which seems pretty cool, you can buy gift cards for various retailers with crypto directly.
Check it out at zeex.me
this is another useless ICO token which was created to scam people out of their money.
