2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook makes its own coin, will it be selling in the market? on: May 16, 2018, 06:10:05 AM
can OP post where he got the information? its no an English  text there.

if facebook had attempted to create a virtual money and have failed, what makes them sure they will succeed today? even if they use blockchain of their own as long as they keep the data of a user, i will always use my fake account in facebook. but i may trade with it so long as it gets listed on big exchanges.

this has been a somewhat viral news, if you search google you will find it.
besides who cares about Facebook and what they are doing. they are the most centralized company that you can think of and all the information that goes into them will also go to 3 letter agencies in US. nobody will be interested in using the coin that they create.
2002  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price $15000 in July on: May 16, 2018, 05:37:06 AM
Do you think BTC will be able to touch $15K in the month of july?

if we break above the $11700s (where the double top was) then yes, we could easily pump $3000+ from there. lots of traders will use that breakout as a trigger to close shorts or buy back their sold BTC.

Ok, your technical analysis rationale is sound. But what about the fundamentals. How do we get the price to get from barely over $8,000 to the upper $11,000s? That takes A LOT of good press, big buying, new hype. Where will it come from? Where could it come from?

I love your enthusiasm, I don't want to take the wind out of your sails, you're and idea man, I'm an idea man...but I can't see how we get that hype over the next 6-10 weeks.

the manipulation of the bear whales has to stop for the price to start rising back up again. right now there are a lot of sell walls being placed and a lot of bitcoin being offloaded on the market to keep it there and push the price even lower. otherwise the buy support has been there and it was strong enough to bring up the price and all these arbitrary resistances such as $10k, $11.7k,... could have been broken already if it weren't for the dumps.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Curse of Mt.Gox continues:Thousands of bitcoins to be flooded on: May 16, 2018, 05:08:38 AM
Already Mt.gox was responsible for the bitcoin crash due to the reason of getting hacked. And now, after Japan court directed the Mt.gox trustee to sell the remaining 8,000 bitcoins.Be ready for yet another price dip.

New investors,be ready to grab this opportunity.

I agree Bitcoin will surely crash with this recent news, and as we are  believer of Bitcoin we need to take advantage of this dip. Buying more Bitcoin and altcoin (Im sure the price will be affected) is the best thing to do when the price crash. In this situation you will be a fool if you are going to sell your coins.

it is a good time to buy bitcoin not all the altcoins because bitcoin has real potential and no matter what happens in short term or even this year, it will be rising soon. but most of the altcoins won't survive these dumps anyways. most of the will actually die, specially those useless ICO tokens that their devs had already cashed out and went on to make a new one and earn new free money.
2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can help banks on: May 15, 2018, 06:39:05 AM
Another indication that banks can use blockchain as an ally, instead of seeing as a competition.

you are confusing the blockchain aka the technology with bitcoin aka the currency build using this technology. the banks (some of them at least) see bitcoin as the competition and are scared of it, some others see it as an opportunity to make a lot of money by offering new set of services in the near future.
the blockchain technology however, is different because that is what they can use to build their own currency, and also use for a lot of other things that this technology lets them do.

in short when you hear some bank is considering the blockchain technology they are not talking about bitcoin.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of Ethereum? on: May 15, 2018, 06:23:06 AM
the only benefit of ethereum is its pump and dumps and the fact that those who are experts in taking advantage of pump and dumps can make a lot of money from it. it also created a platform for scammers to make money for free from newbies who fall for their scams called ICO. other than that there isn't any benefit for this full of bug coin!
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokocrypto is present in Indonesia on: May 15, 2018, 05:34:40 AM
you didn't explain what Tokocrypto is! from some search it seems like a new exchange (a fiat to crypto gateway as they call it). and it is new, that is the problem. it doesn't matter if they offer interesting promotions like lower fees, it is still harder to trust a new service when there already are bigger ones out there even in Indonesia.
2007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the 51% Network Hack on: May 15, 2018, 05:12:47 AM
Scenario: Bitcoin becomes increasingly popular ....

your answer is right here!
as bitcoin grows, the hashrate of it also grows. you can see that currently it has the highest hashrate of all times despite price being less than half the ATH. and in the future this will be a lot higher and also a lot more distributed (compare distribution of hashrate from 2010 and 2018 and you will see).
this means having 51% of the hashrate becomes harder and much more expensive and eventually impossible.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH started rising again , is it as positive sign for market recovery ? on: May 14, 2018, 06:29:50 AM
dead cat bounce is not the same as recovery.
there has been a lot of advertisement for ethereum to get people to invest in it. they are spamming the internet again like they did at the start of it because they are getting desperate and each time something new breaks in ethereum they have to try that much harder to get investors in because people are losing their trust. these days most people are keeping their ETH on exchanges because they fear the dumps and they want to have their tokens ready for dumping at a moments notice.
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This dump will scare a lot of people away from Crypto! on: May 14, 2018, 06:15:46 AM
i don't think what media says is scaring anyone away, it may make them dump but not make them go away. on the other hand the pumps and dumps that all these altcoins have will surely scare a lot of the investors away and push them towards bitcoin more. because everyone will eventually see that the altcoins which they were bag holding get dumped at some point but in the end they will see bitcoin is still rising despite all the drama that it has. which means they will eventually give altcoins up and go back to bitcoin only.
2010  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning Crypto trading as a beginner on: May 14, 2018, 06:05:23 AM
You can learn Crypto trading on your own without any help from anyone, but you can't do this with forex/stock-market.

i disagree. trading is not different in that sense. the markets are different. so you need to learn more about the market instead and learn trading in general. you learn what affects cryptocurrencies and what affects currencies and stocks in Forex and Stocks market. then you learn how to trade and the general points about that.

as for the "help" you will learn it a lot better and easier if you have a help but the problem is finding that "help". some random guy on the internet that is promising to help or giving you points or "signals" is not the "help" you want.
2011  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reason why we should invest in Bitcoin Or Ethereum ? on: May 14, 2018, 05:54:53 AM
just because some people are hyping something on the internet, it doesn't mean you should listen to them and buy ethereum. in fact you should NOT invest in ETH because it is in a huge bubble and ever day that passes this bubble becomes bigger because there is no limit to its supply but the demand for it is decreasing which means the intrinsic value of it is dropping hard hence the growing bubble!

as for bitcoin, if you want to become rich then do NOT buy that either because it won't make you rich. in fact if you enter with profit in mind you will surely lose a lot of money because of the fluctuations and all the FUD which will push you to panic sell.
2012  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you get your own private key? on: May 14, 2018, 05:46:18 AM
asking a vague question is not going to get you the answer you are looking for! be more specific. start with why you need your private key? and also what wallet are you using?

I download a wallet and let it generate the private keys for me.
Why do you believe so much in the download. is not that your personal data, why are you so sure?

bitcoin wallets are open source, anything that isn't open source and on your desktop is not a wallet then. so because of that you can either check the code yourself or trust the many others that have done it already.
2013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life event why Bitcoin/Litecoin is needed urgently on: May 14, 2018, 05:41:07 AM
well what you explained here can be one of the many reasons we need bitcoin but to be honest i don't see why you think we also need litecoin!
i am a fan of litecoin but also i know that it is not really a unique project! it is the copy of bitcoin with no significant change that matters. having faster block generation and a tiny bit different algorithm doesn't make it good for payments really.
2014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Curse of Mt.Gox continues:Thousands of bitcoins to be flooded on: May 13, 2018, 09:14:15 AM
Be ready for yet another price dip.

you may have found out about this now but this happened a couple of days ago and the "dip" has already happened and is now over!

regarding Mt Gox and their coins i have to say them selling is not the reason for the drop and it has never been and never will be the reason. there are whales bigger than that who are buying and selling bitcoin nearly every day and with same or bigger sizes. it is the panic of a known one that is causing these dumb drops.
not to mention that it is always good to see a whale shrink... in other words it is not a curse, it is a blessing.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook and blockchain on: May 13, 2018, 09:08:00 AM
Only rumors, but I see that this can be real (unicorns taking over crypto).
This would popularize blockchain and crypto to a new level, I think we are not so far from that anymore.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/facebook-exploring-making-its-own-cryptocurrency-media-report
Don't you think it is weird that they banned anything related to crypto currencies from their platform saying that they are all "deceptive" and now they are trying to make their own? I guess those are just rumours as the article says those are unconfirmed information. Or it might have to do something with using the blockchain technology but not making crypto currencies.

actually the fact that they banned everything else proves that they are in fact working on it for real. and there are enough trusted sources out there reporting this that you can believe it. besides it is not really a weird thing to look into blockchain technology, many big companies have been doing it for some time now. they all see the potential one way or another (from the technology itself or the ICO fund raising scam)
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PORN site now accept an Altcoin as payment method! on: May 12, 2018, 07:09:09 AM
there are so many things wrong about the title of this topic! first of all it is saying porn site, it should have said "A" porn site. and also most important of all is not the accepting it, the most important part is whether it matters or not.

well regarding the pumps of that altcoin, it matters but for short term but regarding real usage and long term concerns it has no effect because that altcoin is too random. it is not even a known altcon to people to want to use it as "payment". if it were any other altcoin like LTC or even DOge it would have been a lot bigger and more important than this random unknown one.
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that every end of the year so many Crypto-holders are rich? on: May 12, 2018, 07:00:24 AM
is it true? no it is not.
there is no reason for trends like this. it may sometimes seem like price is moving like this but it really isn't. for example people were saying there is going to be a dump in first two months then a pump in the next till the mid year time but as you can see it never came.

if you are looking for the most common altcoin pump, which is sometimes called the pumping season then it will come in summer. again this is not a 100% thing, this year we may see a mass altcoin dump during summer but usually it is not like that. we see a lot of newbies come in and the pumps are good during summer. and you can make a lot of profit.
2018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden Price Drop! What's going on with the Market? on: May 12, 2018, 06:50:03 AM
Few days back I was this close to buying BTC when it was around 10k, but halted for some reasons. Now I see the price is around 8.6k and I wonder why the sudden downwards trend! I see no major news out there (or maybe the statements of mr. buffet and gates?). What could be the reason and how dip the price can go?

the Buffet + Gates news was a failed FUD which came out a couple of days ago. it is a failed one because price didn't move a penny after that but the media was filled with the bullshit all the same.
the price is still above the lower buy support so i still wouldn't consider this a considerable "drop", but just a testing of the bottom support to see how the market reacts. it is possible that some whales weren't satisfied with the amount of bitcoin they had accumulated so they had to do something about it and make some short term profit and gather some cheaper coins at a good discount.
2019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox account transferred 6000 bitcoins today on: May 12, 2018, 06:38:21 AM
bitcoin prices are down 8.6% now . is this a response ? there are still 140000 bitcoin remaining in Mt.Gox wallet . if it will sell bitcoin next time . will the market fall ? is there a solution to this problem ?

Mt Gox has been selling coins long before anybody knew about it and nothing  changed about the price except the fact that it kept on going up. but at some point in the middle of their selling (after a couple of months had past and price has been rising all that time) price rise stopped and reversed, by that time everyone was talking about how they are selling and crashing the market, obviously a pure bullshit.

this is just whale manipulation of the price and nothing more. and it will continue to be just that whether Mt Gox coins move or not. even if that wallet empties then they will find another whale's wallet to spread the same FUD. and if that fails there is always the old FUD about how China is banning bitcoin Cheesy
2020  Economy / Speculation / Re: These drops are very bad for newbies and new investers! on: May 12, 2018, 06:25:01 AM
Most of us have been here many times and see it as a good opportunity to buy more.
But I think the volatility is scaring new investors and can potential kill crypto in the long run.

this volatility that you are talking about did not start yesterday! it has been around for as long as bitcoin was around. in other words bitcoin has always been volatile and if anything the volatility has decreased and all this time it had never affected "investors" new or old in any ways that they didn't like.
