301  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 02, 2017, 09:08:50 PM
I noticed today that some of the power connectors on the blades of my S9's are turning brown (that center connector on the middle blade is the worst of them).  The oldest S9's are actually the least affected by this and not all of the connectors are doing this.  I have EVGA 1600 G2's for all of them.  The worst one is the one and only autotune version I have (which is the one pictured), which is the newest of course.  Two of those blades are running at the highest freq of all of the blades in all of the miners so I am sure they are drawing more power than any of the other blades.

I have separated the ones that were drawing power for two connectors on a single cable but the PSU only has 9 cables and since the S9 control board requires one, that means I have to use at least one cable to two blade connectors somewhere.

I haven't been following this thread for a while but is anyone else seeing this?  Anyone had a fire from one of these?  This autotune one is I guess about 9 months old now.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PinIdea.io x11 asics on: June 01, 2017, 09:57:54 PM
I believe the chips are only black until they have a decent number of shares and then they will either be green or red based on how many of those shares were listed as failed.  So if it runs for a decent amount of time it should change them from black.  Maybe check that auto restart setting like isoneguy suggested.

I don't have any DR2's but the DR3's seem to have a very similar web interface from the screen shots of the DR2 I have seen.  My DR3's also show a lot of hashrate variance in the web interface.  I have one mining on nicehash and it seems to have much less variance then the others.  I also think these miners more than other asics I have owned are temperamental to temperature.  They don't handle high ambient temps very well at all or they get a lot more HW failures.

Sounds like it isn't mining LTC.  What pool?  Is it an autoswitching pool?

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: May 25, 2017, 12:08:25 PM
Just for the record, at least with DASH, it is not that uncommon for the dashboard to tell me I have zero hashrate when everything is actually working fine.  So maybe SIA is doing something similar.  When it happens I can usually just reload the dashboard and get it to show my hashrate again.  I usually go to the workers page and verify that my miners are showing there and then go back to the dashboard and it all looks fine until it happens again which is pretty often.  I just don't worry about it anymore since I know it isn't accurate.  I also mine ETH and XMR and I don't see that same thing on those dashboards.

The balance not updating may be something else though.  That isn't something I see on the DASH pool.
306  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH on: May 24, 2017, 04:57:31 PM
@Dargo, can you please pass on to the web devs that it would be useful for the 'funds' amount shown on the trade platform (trade.kraken.com) to show available funds rather than total funds?  If I have lots of buys in on various coins I have to go back and do the math to figure out what I have available for new orders.  It would be more useful if it was already calculated so that if I wanted to go all in on a new buy, with whatever isn't already reserved on other orders, I could just see that total in that field.
307  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: May 24, 2017, 02:50:11 AM
Why is the weekly payout day moving?  Used to be Sat, then changed to Fri, and now seems to be moved to Tue.

We have changed it in order to maintain consistency with upcoming payouts and new schedule changes.

I don't understand what that means at all.

309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ETC and ETH fork on Poloniex on: May 18, 2017, 11:27:12 PM

First, is my assumption correct that I should have both ETH and ETC in my account?
Thanks,
-Rob

There was some caveat about that but I can't remember what it was exactly.  Something like the ETH needed to be not on loan or not on margin or something...  I don't remember exactly.  But if it was just in your account balance then yes you should have had both.
310  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hacked several months ago lost a lot of bitcoins (87) ::sighs:: on: May 14, 2017, 01:01:57 PM
If my desktop ip address was the ip used to withdrawal all my bitcoins is it possible a person on the Bitstamp exchange on their end did the hacking?

I don't know, but it would lead me to believe the funds were accessed by your computer.  Either somebody physically went to your computer or remotely.

How else could they manipulate the ip addresses if i'm in atlantic city nj on my cell and my desktop computer pc IP in new york is allegedly being used to do the bitcoin withdrawal thing....

Unless there was a break-in from an ex-girlfriend or somebody you had a recent falling out from, I'd think remote access.  If your internet is always on, then somebody may have found a "backdoor" port into your computer.  You may have received an email with a photo, a link to nowhere or some other embedded Trojan.

If you were gone, the person probably new you were going to be gone.  They may still have access to your computer.  My advice would be to find a professional you trust to analyze your computer.  It could be a couple grand or a couple hundred bucks, but that's where I would start.  I think there is something on your computer like a keylogger, which are über hard to find without monitoring the network traffic.

EDIT: Think of your computer as potential evidence.  That's the best place to start, imo.

Totally agree with this.  All signs point to it having orginated in your own PC.  Did you check the browser history?  It does sound like they deleted the email before it was pushed to the phone.  I sometimes do that by accident, check it in one place, delete it, and then it never even gets to the phone because by the time the phone checks for email it has already come and gone.

You should consider your PC compromised.  Unless you actually know a person who may have done this while sitting at the PC...
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BEWARE of POLONIEX BTC WITHDRAWS on: May 14, 2017, 12:12:50 AM
Too many similarities to cryptsy's last days.  Just for the record I don't think polo is insolvent and I did in fact suspect that cryptsy was back then.  But it sure looks similar.  Lots of people complaining in the troll box about stuck withdrawals and mods way overworked trying to placate people.  Lots of trading irregularities.  And then a handful of permanent trollbox residents acting like nothing weird is happening.  That is exactly how cryptsy trollbox was up to the end.

A couple differences though, people are complaining about deposits getting stuck too.  Don't recall that happening on cryptsy.  Also the mods are way less heavy handed with the bans on polo.  An hour ban is no big deal.

I have 2fa on my polo account and I have been withdrawing close to my 2k USD limit every single day for the past week or so and every withdraw I made went without a problem and without delay.  I finally got the last of it out today.  I did not however withdraw any BTC because I didn't have any.  I withdrew DASH, XMR, and ZEC.

I like polo's interface.  And I like the trade pairs.  If they get their act together I would go back to it in 6 months or a year.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Multiple Bittrex accounts hacked everyone enable 2fa on: May 11, 2017, 01:25:35 AM
Last night lot of strange things happened. In total about 168K of FTC, 17.5K VTC and bunch of other alts were stolen(destroyed) on bittrex from me. In total 11BTC worth.
All of this happened just after I applied for enhanced account verification, well maybe day after, and that is strangest thing.
Yes I didn't have 2FA, my bad but still I don't get what happened.
He didn't do any single withdraw, instead he was dumping my coins and buying them again at higher price. He was doing that for one hour, imagine that! before that he was logged in for 3 hours into my account doing nothing.
This could indicate buy - sell rotation and that in fact he was sending my coins over his bittrex account without withdrawing them then from there to send them over his account.
Final "sales" happened on ETH and REP.
Question is also this, how is possible that two persons can be logged in the same time to bittrex. Because I m always logged in, I didn't shut down my computer since last year, so keylogger or something is not an option. How is possible that someone could hack password who was unique and used only for bittrex. There is also captcha verification and he could pass it only if he had exact password, so brute force word list or something is also out of the question.

In total 80 buy/sale requests over various coins.
Here is how it started:

Then there is how ended:

Again what was the point of this if this wasn't something I said earlier to transfer coins to his own bittrex account. This was purely to destroy them all. Any thoughts on this matter?

The way I understand it is that they have orders in (on their own accounts) on some obscure coins that are far outside of the normal trading range.  If the market depth on those coins is low, then they can use another account to buy through the depth and hit their own posted trades.  So for example they have shitcoins listed at 1 BTC per shitcoin.  Shitcoin only sells for .0000001 BTC but the entire market depth of real sell orders is less than one BTC total.  So they use the stolen account to buy up all the shitcoins including the ones they have listed for 1 BTC from their own account.  Then when they switch back to their own account they have a profit from selling shitcoins for 1 BTC each.  Basically any coin that has low market depth can be used this way.

Bittrex is one of those exchanges that lets you be logged in on more than one computer at a time.  I sometimes have my work computer logged in even though my home computer is already logged in.  As opposed to poloniex which logs out any currently logged in session when a new one is logged in.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it take for Poloniex to process withdrawals "Awaiting Approval" on: May 11, 2017, 01:10:57 AM
got same problem awaiting approval more than 50 hours open a ticket 40 hours not any answer! last time i will use poloniex

Out of curiosity, what coin are you trying to withdraw?  I had this happen once when I made a withdraw of a large amount of DASH (like 50 or so).  There was no explanation for why it was held up and after about 12 hours it went through.  That was maybe a month ago for me.  Today and yesterday I was able to withdraw DASH (close to 2k USD both times) very quickly.

I am not going to use the "I" word but I have to say the resemblance to cryptsy's last days is disturbing and only growing more so.

<snip>

baikalminer.com and all other baikalminer web site and all of the baikalminer on skype are the SAME people.  They will hustle you in sending bitcoin, dash coins or Ethereum coins.  They will steal your coins and you cannot do anything about it like me!  I am very unlucky and very stupid to trust them!  DON’T buy anything from Baikal Miner or any other web site or anyone on Skype.  They are all the same people.  I will attached screen capture of my skype conversion with Baikal Mining and emails so you can read for yourself and share with families, friends, co-worker and the mining community.  I FEEL SO SICK INSIDE.  These people have stole $4676 of my hard earn money.  VERY VERY SAD!  Don’t know what else to do.

Danny

It sounds like you were not dealing with the real baikalminer on skype.  There is only one legit baikalminer account on skype.  All of the other skype accounts are scammers and you probably wound up talking to one of the scammers.  Honestly though I still blame baikal for this.  No decent company does business through skype in the midst of a dozen scam accounts where their customers have to be very careful or very lucky not to get ripped off.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex = Scam exchange beware. on: May 10, 2017, 07:05:20 PM
Anyone know another exchange with a lot of XMR trade pairs?  Kraken has most of the coins I care about trading but they don't have any direct alt\alt pairs, everything is alt\btc or alt\fiat.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: May 10, 2017, 05:28:09 PM
c4 just mentioned to me about what we might call the MUE subunits - i.e Bitcoin has Satoshi, Dash has duffs, what could we call the MUE subunits?  Any suggestions?

I have always like Munits.  Someone else suggested Bizzies...

Happy to hear your thoughts?

MiniMUE's

I like Munits as well but shouldn't it be MUEnits?  I guess it depends on how people are pronouncing MUE, I would pronounce Munit and MUEnit the same way based on how I am already pronouncing MUE.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: List of Best GPU models for Ethereum and other altcoin mining on: May 09, 2017, 02:03:32 AM
@Philip

What software miner are you using for ZEC on Nvidia?

Also when you say, "Set core to 100, set memory to 300" is that percent?

I have no Nvidia cards currently mining however I did just purchase another RX 480 to replace an Nvidia 970 for a graphic workstation (adobe cc stuff) that I use, so the 970 will be available for whatever.  I was contemplating selling it but if it could be worthwhile to put it to use mining ZEC I might go for it.

MUE pool seems still down.  It was back up for a short time but been down again for a while now.

EDIT:  MUE pools is still down. Can you please take a look?

EDIT2: Yeah! Thank you for fixing it!

as the diff it;s big now.. i was force to modify the pool code and adapt the share diff to be high enough.. now will work perfect ...

sorry for this delay but took us some time to find the issue.

You probably already know but on the off chance you don't, it's been down again for almost a day.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: May 08, 2017, 12:03:03 PM
DASH miners failed over but XMR and ETH miners are still connected.  So I guess some pools are still up even if the entire website is down.

EDIT: ETH pool website is up again.
EDIT2: And down again...
