Like this?  The Garza's at minute 4:24

http://vimeo.com/83699131

I'm not going to post the link (respecting previous posts about trying to leave family out of the discussion), but am I the only one who has found the pretty embarrassing post by Josh about his wife from 2013? This guy has NO filter and doesn't understand that things he says on the internet can be searched and made public?

I think Josh talking trash about his wife would not cross the line. If there is a pic or something maybe leave it out, but if he wants to broadcast something to the world by posting it on the internet who are we to argue?

Figures. Modern day Jimmy & Tammy Faye Bakker. This just keeps getting better.

What fine christians they are too.

Just curious, does the rootbeer dude on that trashhash or flashfuck or whatever the hell crappy forum the gawlings use spell his name with a zero for the second character?

..... as the S5's require a reboot pretty often due to a firmware issue that makes one hash board drop off every other day..... Sad

@ Bitmain:  Any news on a firmware fix for this in the near future?

I can't imagine buying multiple units until this is fixed, it's bad enough having to babysit the one unit.

Do you think this can be fixed with software or is it maybe inherent to the "chain design" implemented in the S5 hardware?

Personally, I think it's a firmware issue - maybe if Bitmain would confirm......

This is the first I heard of this and I have a batch 3 order so shipping any time now.  Is everyone experiencing this?  Does restarting cgminer fix it temporarily?  I have a batch 2 S3 that needs a ton of babysitting also because the hashrate drifts lower and lower the longer it runs, so what I finally did was create a cron job to restart cgminer.  I originally did a cron job to reboot the thing but one time it rebooted and got all hosed up and didn't mine at all for hours so I just restart cgminer now.

Its already confirmed:

Overnight, one of the blades curiously went xxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxo running at stock 350 with the temps at 63C. Rebooted and it's working OK again.

Hmmm.....I got back from New Years Eve celebrations earlier and noticed the same thing with mine, but all X's. They all came back after a reboot also, but it is a little worrying..... Tongue  Anyone else had this?
that's alarming...

There is a known firmware bug where one module drops out but both still display as mining and temperatures fixed. This may be the same bug and will be fixed in the next one. And yes, its very much firmware.

So when you say "fixed in the next one" does that mean batch 2 or the next firmware version whenever that is?  And is this the same firmware we can update at home (whenever it is released)?

Someone should post these two imgs to hashtalk. Pretty much shows Homero's true colors. He was always in it for himself.
(in reference to first img) Now this is just conjecture but it seems:

1) Become a reseller of miners. "Sell product to miners even though its more profitible to mine them. This will build loyalty."
2) Hashlets. "Use them to fund next project. But also use them to fund next data center."
3) "Right on edge when customers are on edge to loose loyalty the product will magically be done." Hashlets giving out 1sat?

There were no investers. No NDAs. That was just to hide the fact that all of the capital came from original hashlet sales/marketplace fees. Payouts were initially good
because of ponzi-like payouts.

I wondered if the entire chain of events was intentional or if he just thought of the next scam to roll the last one into along the way.  Looks like we have the answer.  I bought hardware miners from them which did eventually get 100% ROI and are now making a trickle of profit but even before hashlets when they started offering hosted hardware I was highly suspicious.  And then after hashlets appeared and greater variety of hardware started to appear for sell to be shipped out I started thinking they were actually selling the miners they had sold to customers as hosted.  Everyone switched to the full ponzi of the hashlets but of course everyone, even Josh has to know that a ponzi cannot be maintained forever.  So the eventual rollover to a scam coin was actually his exit strategy from the ponzi.  If this thing ever goes to court the judge and jury will all say, "yes but everyone knows cryptocurrencies are a big scam" because the media has told them so, over and over and over...

1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do Multipools Actually Increase Profit? on: January 04, 2015, 01:16:55 AM

I mine just a few alt coins at a time typically -- but I manually switch to them when I'm ready.

I typically look at the current difficulty - where it is going - the current price and where it will go.

And then you need to look at other major coins (and what they are doing) -- as many people will switch to the "most profitable coin" at the moment -- which leaves a lot of opportunities with other coins that are being neglected Smiley

Do you mine on pools or do you install wallets and mine directly?
1247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 04, 2015, 01:05:56 AM

So tell me this. Any other ex-HT mods such as blacklizard are welcome to chip in too.

The whole hash talk site seems like a scam room type setup. Bring in the sucker. Isolate him. Dazzle him with these grand announcements and all these people raving about all the money they made from Gaw. Extract money from sucker. Rinse. Repeat.

Can you comment on this? Do you know how many fake accounts are out there used by gaw staff (including Josh himself) to dupe the suckers?? Did you notice or suspect this going on at all? Do you have chat or other evidence that can prove this?

This would be a big help to the community if you could come forward with any evidence...

I left a few weeks ago, since then HT has gone down hill much more than i even anticipated.

There were no discussions to that effect, no attempt to scam, no goals to drag people in and take them for what they were worth.

Reviewing of my posting history will show i only responded with factual information and moderated fairly, but stern when necessary.

I've discussed everything i can discuss, and my actions can speak loud enough to provide sufficient proof that i don't agree with the dealings of the company i was moderating for.

BS!  You don't get to come here and play all innocent.  You and lizard lips both are complicit in the theft Josh perpetrated on GAWs foolish customers.  I hope you both lost money yourselves.  It would serve you right.

1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think your ASIC miner is worth? on: January 02, 2015, 12:43:08 AM
I think your x6 valuations are a little low.  With nothing new coming out for the general public the larger of the existing available miners especially are worth more than what you have listed.  IMO anyway.
1250  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+Over Clock Potential), 590W, Jan 8th Shipping [Sales Open] on: December 31, 2014, 07:44:44 PM
[...] this means you need an ip scan program.  I think angry ip or advanced ip are still good for windows.

http://angryip.org/

http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

I am running my home on macs so I am no longer sure if the 2 above are still good links

What do you use on Mac OS X for that purpose?

You can always just look at the DHCP leases on your router and get it from there.
1251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+Over Clock Potential), 590W, Jan 8th Shipping [Sales Open] on: December 31, 2014, 06:04:23 PM
I've another 2 small questions.. If someone could answer me please (sorry for being noob).

1) If you buy it you only need to buy a  PSU and then connect to the antminer right, follow tutos and then you'll get your estimated hashes right ? You  don't need to do anything more?

2) Btw, I've seen that Amp suggested are 70A (So would be a problem if you connect this item into your home at some room ?

Thanks in advance

You will need an ethernet cable (at least cat 5) as well so you can connect to your router (NOT PC!). Miner will find your network, but you will need to find it's IP by using advanced Ip scanner on PC or iNET on a Mac (it will be called antminer). Then, you connect to this IP adddress in the browser by simply typing it in in the www window, like 192.168.1.120
To get amperage, you divide ~600W (at default speed, but could be slightly higher) by your wall voltage (110/120, 220 or 240)=amperes at the wall
However, you would NOT be able to live in the same room as this miner (unless you extensively modify it with one or even two "silent" fans).

So these ones are setup to use DHCP out of the box instead of static 192.168.1.whatever the old ones were?
1252  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: December 30, 2014, 07:41:00 PM

Please can someone help me with tis every time I cold reboot warm reboot or select save and apply from miner configuration  page!!! I don't now why it happens Huh??

The average  just don't increase. This happened to me no matter what firmware I use !

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

i kinda tested this out and i think its just the ui that is messed up..

the pool is still reporting a regular speed.

Have you tried SSH'ing in, then commanding #/etc/init.d/cgminer stop, then, #/etc/init.d/cgminer start ?

You can accomplish the same thing through the web interface. Go to system > Startup find cgminer and click stop, wait for page to reload, then click start.  The restart option might work too but I always do the stop and then start to be sure.

If so,  I should get mine within today latest tomorrow!

So?

I call dibs on first selller Grin

Absolutely!  That would be rude as hell if we came in and sniped your purchase after you spent all the time spelling out the terms.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: December 12, 2014, 01:16:55 AM
Someone please take my L1 order off my hands I do not want it anymore. I am asking what I originally paid which was 1.26BTC

Bitmaintech will NOT transfer L1 orders.  I already have tried.  They won't do it.  However, I can make an offer that will guarantee you get your money and I will take 100% of the risk of non-delivery or late delivery if you want to agree to an escrow process below (and this offer is open to anyone who has L1 orders up to my ability to fund).

If you will accept escrow held until Bitmaintech delivers, I will take it and will even pay you a little extra (1.4 BTC) on the following terms:

1) Escrow agent will be tomatocage or another established btc talk member with established a longstanding escrow rep.  I will pay buyer escrow fee.

2) Once escrow is funded you will ASAP change delivery address with Bitmaintech to my address (to be provided)

3) I will be entitled to all rights under your purchase from Bitmaintech including compensation (if late), coupons, discounts, and support.  You agree to cooperate to transfer all those rights to me directly, or if Bitmaintech does not allow transfer then you will use such rights as I direct for my benefit.

4) As soon as Bitmaintech delivers the L1 escrow is released.

5) If Bitmaintech cancels the L1 instead of delivering, you can choose either: (x) have all compensation, refunds, coupons, discounts, etc. that Bitmaintech offers as a result of order cancellation transferred to my BTC address or account, and then escrow will be released to you in full amount REGARDLESS of what Bitmaintech offers (as long as I get all of whatever is provided by them), OR (y) just cancel the transaction and I get the escrow back.  Your choice.

6) Once the escrow is setup, it cannot be cancelled by either of us except as provided above.

If you (or anyone else) wants to do this, please PM me!

I'd be interested in doing this from the buyers side Wink

So would I.

If someone want to trade out of exchange, please pm me.

I would but my coins are stuck in a mining pool which won't move anything until the wallet is fixed.  I had several transfers from the pool to cryptsy go missing a month ago now but without a working block explorer and neither the pool or crypsty willing to do anything until the wallet is fixed (and no sign that anyone is ever going to actually fix the wallet) the whole thing looks like a loss at this point.
i didnt know my block explorer is down! well, it isnt...
that "good" pool should have mined their own txs, then you would have recieved your coins for sure!

as this will "never" be fixed, i unfortunately cant offer to mine your stuck tx for free... seems that the develop branch on github is written by a nonexistent person.
if you would have used an address from your own wallet (i presume you dont even have one), you could have given me the tx to mine for you!
are miners nowadays so stupid, that they use an address for rewards which dosnt even belong to them? probably not a miner, rather a dumper.

TL;DR: sarcasm
You can defend it all you want, the fact remains this coin is dying.  You're right I do not have a personal wallet.  But this was one coin I was holding some amount of on cryptsy.  No more.

EDIT: For what it is worth you're right, the block explorers seem to be working.  When my transactions disappeared between the pool and cryptsy more than month ago I was getting different results on different explorers when I went looking for them.  That seems not to be the case today.  So hey you got that going for you.

TL;DR: support for this coin still sucks my arse.

What a waste.  This coin actually could have been successful.  Too bad the devs suck.

After having miners on this pool continuously for more than a year I can say that it is a very, very, safe bet that mining is still working fine even when the website is down.  All the website down means is that you have to wait a bit to see stats again.  That's it.

I hope wizkid pops in though and mods that coin_moron idiot out of here.  Ignore works but when people respond to that stupidity I still wind up seeing it.

ANC been down for days, any word on when this may be fixed?  Is there somewhere I can look to find out the status of wallets under maintenance?
