301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 03, 2024, 04:45:25 PM
Even if what you're saying is the truth, I'm telling you that you're not going to convert any of your friends at all, I'm sure that they're all going to be trying their best to follow through but they're adults and they have a hard time learning new ideas so I'm not sure that your advice to them would last long, for me, the best thing that you've done is that you've given the advice and that shows you're concerned about their well-being while gambling but that's where your part ends, you don't have to struggle too much about it and if you keep talking or yapping about it, you're going to end up having arguments with these people about dictating how they play their games. It's true though, that there's no pattern in luck or chances, some of it just happens and that's it, no predetermined order, it's chaos.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did people buy bitcoin before Mt. Gox? on: March 03, 2024, 02:08:13 PM
I didn't come from their time but I do believe that most of them use Peer to Peer or P2P transactions for dealing with their bitcoins, there's not a lot of value back then so they've got some confidence in doing that kind of transaction and there's escrow services back then so it's not that difficult to be trusting of others to do your transactions and even if you get scammed, you move on and learn. I even think that P2P has been the thing that bitcoin's been made for because if you think about it, Satoshi would've mentioned a plan to create an exchange so people's can safely trade their bitcoins but I believe that it wasn't the case.

Is Mt. Gox the first exchange too? I've checked if they were with a quick search but yielded no efford, lead me to a user @dwdollar talking about creating an exchange though, but no conclusive answer about who's the first bitcoin exchange or I'm just not searching it right, not using the right words.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it time now to use Premium VPN when playing in the casino? on: March 02, 2024, 05:14:58 PM
If you're complying and not wanting a banned account then it's a good idea for you to start using that, definitely would help you more and it's hassle free compared to risking not using a VPN and your friends are playing in your home connected to the same IP and then getting banned over this stupid clause in a lot of casinos' terms and conditions and then having to prove your innocence, that you've never done any multi accounting scheme and that it's really your friend's account that's just connected your WiFi.

To be honest, when it comes to casino, I find some of their applied terms and conditions are stupid or if it was implemented in real life are just too crazy if not too strict? Ain't no way everyone's going to follow that crazy stuff and some of them are just outright ridiculous, like this one, wouldn't that be an advantage for the gambling sites that someone's got a multiple account because that can only mean that they're going to see more money squeezed out of someone, they could've just focused on protecting the machines or programs that are running these schemes instead of doing a scorched earth policy of banning them for such a minor offense.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 02, 2024, 04:23:17 PM
Now that I've think about it, I've taken a liking to doing some of that back then, it's definitely bankroll investment, I mean I've got some prizes for the art contests and I don't have much stuff to spend that prize on, if I recall correctly how it works, the money that you put in would become part of the circulating prize money for the casino and depending on the turnout for that day, you'd either get some gains or losses, I remember there's a guy that used to do this and it's been pointed out by @btc_angela already @Helena Yu got the best and simple explanation for how it works. You say that you've got some good amount of bitcoin already that you don't mind spending on that and I got to say, I encourage you to invest in it now because there's no way that the house loses and you really don't need to go look for any other website for long, you can start exploring the one in your signature campaign, ask the right person how the investment in Bitvest works, you're not going to be disappointed. It's kind of weird that the hype around this investment died down though like what happened? I'm curious too, did the long hiatus of Bitvest lead to this as they're a pretty big campaign back then when this was a big deal too.
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 02, 2024, 02:38:43 PM
What your goal? Is it short-term gains or long-term gains, now if you're into short-term gains then it's probably the best option for you to do trading since you're exploiting the fact that the market movement is wonky and really unpredictable. Another thing about trading is that you have to be careful about how you do your trade though, remember that there's always a possibility that you'll get more losses than gains when trading especially if you're a newbie that just wants to get into trading without prior experience or even some training, so at the end even if you want short-term gain with trading, if you're not well equipped with experience then it's probably still not the thing for you.

Now if you're in it for the long-term gains, it's probably best to focus on investing because you're in a much safer route compared to trading, just a little DCA habit and you can just sit back and relax and see your investment grow in terms of value and amount without the worry that it will get lost because you risked to do some leverage trade that you knew nothing about.
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin suspension on: March 02, 2024, 01:54:12 PM
I think that it depends on how difficult the issues that the coin is currently facing, that's the only way that I can think why they take long. Haven't encountered this problem though, what coins you've got that has this problem? This kind of thing I think doesn't happen that often given that a lot of developers through the years are continuously improving their crypto before any official release and the next cryptocurrency developed would probably be more improved.

Well, it can be a sign that when a coin is suspended then it is likely soon that it will be delisted.

I dont have these coins that have been suspended by Binance but typically, that it is not a good sign and you cannot do anything with that because you cannot even withdraw it even you have to.

Asking the support wont help as well because they wont give you timeframe when it may be fixed.
I don't believe that they're going to do that with the coins that they're going to delist, I didn't experience that with my Monero when it got delisted in Binance, coin suspension mostly prevents someone from getting that crypto used for transactions and at the same time make it much easier for their developers to solve the issue without more people being affected by the very issue that they're fixing and the cause of their suspension.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency exchange do you recommend for the Colombians ? on: March 01, 2024, 11:49:03 PM
As what @Dr.Bitcoin_Strange has already said, Binance should be your pick because they're a really good CEX, really secure for a CEX and they're already being used by thousands of Colombians already so when you want to sell or buy bitcoins or any other crypto, you're going not going to have a hard time finding someone that would buy or sell crypto and it's really safe to do so. Just check though if the options in their P2P have the bank that you're looking for a part of the payment option, it's rarely to see the bank that you're looking for to be not listed though.

And as the others have pointed out, KYC is a thing for these exchanges so you might want to consider if you want to comply with giving your identity, it's a double edged sword that would help make sure that the people you're having a transaction with aren't going to scam you and on the other hand, it means that you're giving your information to the exchange which is bad especially with how easy it is to breach the database for the information of customers which has been done on tons of websites already.
308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From today; 28.02.2024 - How low do you think the coming BTC dip will be..?? on: March 01, 2024, 04:56:13 PM
No one surely knows but if you look at the ATH and the lowest price of after the ATH, the ATH was probably around 3 to 4 times of the lowest of bitcoin after that ATH so basically, once we've reached an ATH again which is likely to happen and then it starts to go down again without any kind of signs of going back up to put the bar much higher for a new ATH then from there, you can just divide the ATH to 3 or 4 and then there, you'd have some rough estimate as to what's the possible lowest price that bitcoin can go, and if you're looking for that, it's a good idea if you actually consider saving some fiat now so when that time comes, you're not going to be mad that you didn't bought when it was at it's lowest.
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for a particular VIP Signal group on: March 01, 2024, 04:09:14 PM
Good luck finding one OP, just remember that signal groups (VIP or not) always fall into the category of as I'd like to call it, a "too good to be true" service. You don't know if they're going to tell you the truth because at the end of the day, what's stopping someone from lying to your face? There's nothing really that's stopping them so they can always pretend that they're doing something legitimate and lure you in their group to force you to join them. I know that you won't be heeding the advice of the people here that's going to tell you not to join these signal groups, you will risk it no matter and you've probably found one already and you're just asking for a backer in hopes of alleviating that worry that they're a scammer.

Ask yourself this too OP, if there's a legitimate signal group there that gives out accurate picks of crypto that will give you huge amounts of profit, why would they be selling it to you or letting you in on their circle? There's got to be a condition for joining their group right?

In that case, may I suggest that you don't risk a lot of money so you're not going to lose a lot of money just in case they scam you which is the likely thing that's going to happen and if you do find a legitimate one, may you enjoy the bounty.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 02:44:02 PM
That's why it's so important that you should read the fine print and a double check, a daily reminder for us to do the same, not just for checking our wins but also for other stuff.

Most of us spend our whole lives participating and thinking that one day, we will win the big lottery but it seems an impossible thing. However, when we see other people's winning and changing their lifestyle, the hope of winning among us keeps alive.
THIS, this is what the gambling industry is banking on, that we will be holding on to the hope that we could be this people that have won the lottery or won something big in poker, slot, or any other games out there, they want us to hold on to that false hope that we could be that next winner and that we're going to still try despite the obvious amount of losses that we've incurred throughout our gambling journey, imagine if we start to think for a second and evaluate our life choices and think that maybe, we're not that kind of person that will attract this much luck thus ending with us stopping the game and the hope of getting the big win.

It's a really wild world out there, the math of these happening is just too unfathomable to us that we can't believe that someone's so lucky when in reality, she's just unconsciously calculating the right numbers to put in or the steps to take so when she gets in the queue, it's the winning ticket. Everyone's wishing to be like her and I get that, two lucks in a row isn't something that happens usually. Smart move for her too to consider investing, if I've win that much money, I'd probably do the same thing.
311  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 12:19:18 PM
That depends, having a kid will either make or break someone, what I mean by that is when you're already a gambler (for the sake of the example) and you've got a kid, either the kid will stress you out which will lead you to find avenues of recreation to have some break from that life of taking care of that kid which stresses you out or if it's the thing that will lead you to change your habits, say you're constantly gambling at a weekly basis but when you've got a kid, you've told yourself that you would be better for your kid and so your habit became a monthly until you don't even gamble in a month anymore.

What you feel with losses and wins are more intense too when you've got a kid because that money that you've lost could've went to somewhere that would benefit the kid, same with the win but the case with win is some people might not even consider giving something to their kid or contribute to their needs, some wins of these gamblers most likely will go back to playing another round.

So in a way, having a kid definitely makes you change your habits and if you think otherwise, that having a kid doesn't change your habits, that can only mean that you're going to be a bad parent because you don't know how to compromise or develop as a person for someone that you're supposed to love, nurture, and make them as a better person than you although the last part about you can still do it to your kid, they can become a better person than you because you've already set the bar too low for them when it comes to improvement as a person.
312  Economy / Gambling / Re: coins.game confiscated 32,800 dollars of my money and blocked the user!!! on: February 29, 2024, 11:53:20 PM
That's really weird that they're going to block your account when you violated that IP change rule like what can you really do in that situation when you've changed your IP? It's not like you've changed your IP somewhere that's illegal right and shouldn't this thing not be a thing anymore? @yahoo62278's right, it's not a good reason to not pay your player? And this person has already given their information that's needed already right? So I don't think that Coins Game is going to have any problem anymore especially with the fact that if OP is doing something bad in their casino, they can just go up to his profile check on his information and do what they need to do.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: February 29, 2024, 11:16:30 PM
I wouldn't say mistake though, some people just don't really like the idea of risking in bitcoin, remember that bitcoin is a volatile investment, much more so than gold and real estate so it really does make a difference why some people still have some doubts. It's also worth noting that along the way in 10 years of hodling bitcoin, there's going to be times when you'll be tempted to sell because bitcoin despite it's volatile nature, growth can still be shown in years so you might not even be getting a full profit out of that in 10 years.

Many people do not invest in the crypto market because they fear that they could get hacked and their personal and financial data will be stolen. They fear that the level of cryptocurrencies fraud and thefs is increasingly inevitable for them.
Investing in cryptocurrency in general is a good idea, but if you are on the right path and with the right platform. Some people, after so much displayed fear and anxiety, they finally invest in bitcoin,as they think, but unfortunately end up investing in the wrong bitcoin.
Fraud and theft is the same thing is the same thing with hacks, you didn't know that when someone hacks your account that they're also stealing your data? I think that's a given thing already. It's also worth noting that the things that you're talking about aren't going anywhere anyway, there's a lot of money in crypto, always expect that there's someone out that will want to break that because they want those crypto for themselves. Also, what the hell is this wrong bitcoin? Ain't no way that someone can mistake bitcoin for something else right? I don't really think that it's true for many people that it's their number one reason for not investing in bitcoin though, think about it, they don't know about bitcoin and most of them don't have that much knowledge about technology so I don't think that hacks, frauds and thefts are the things that would first come to their mind when you introduce them to bitcoin.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profit taking strategies? on: February 29, 2024, 01:57:14 PM
Do not take profits soon, wait for it to reach atleast $130k price range and then you can start taking profit. I mean it's not a surety that it will reach that price amount which I have mentioned but I truely hope it will go way above that. Not today, not this month but surely one day. Just HODL it and do not look out for taking profit just before Bitcoin Halving. Prices will never be same here and you will miss holding BTC worth your current average.
Totally agree, 62k USD is still below the previous ATH and if you're a long time hodler, it would be a disservice to your efforts of hodling at the bottom just to sell now, sure there's the possibility that you can sell now and you'd luckily sell when the price starts going down again but if I were you, I wouldn't risk it anytime soon, it's definitely not a good idea especially with the expensive transaction fees caused by the ordinals, it's better to wait for the price to go to your target and then sell at that point, that way, even if you're paying huge transaction fees, you're getting the profit that you deserve. Follow what I and @ImThour says, hold on for dear life my cryptobros and cryptosis!!!
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Old mining wallet on: February 29, 2024, 12:45:58 PM
Clone your hard drive and then take it to a phone repair shop, if the hard drive isn't damaged and the phone is still functioning just fine then there's still a possibility in recovery. That's a lot of bitcoin just to be left alone when there's options there that can make you recover it, my only problem with my recommendation to you is that there's a possibility that the repair/recovery guy might get to the wallet first and steal that bitcoin from you but I don't think that's the case. I hope that you'll recover that bitcoin, that's got to be a pain to not recover it so do whatever it takes. Data recovery specialist is your best option right now OP and hopefully you give us an update when you get it.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: February 29, 2024, 12:01:18 PM
When this kind of thing happens? They just raise the debt ceiling and print more money to balance out the value of dollar, even if the world loses faith on the dollar, there's no way that it's going to be a long time before they recover from that, also I'm pretty sure that most of their soldiers aren't just going to quit because their money isn't worth a lot, the new generation of soldiers have been brainwashed to become patriots that will do whatever's best for the country so they don't easily waiver when there's no money to be paid, they're definitely going to get paid in bonds or some other form of payment. Also, just because the dollar collapses doesn't mean that the military would just collapse in a day, they've probably found a way to do some sort of preservation that would make the military functional despite a collapsing economy.

If you're talking about the companies that supply the newest technology for the military, that's going to be the time that they'll ramp up their production to the point that they're more efficient during an economic crisis because they know that they're going to be paid more when Uncle Sam is in debt to them.

318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was created to reform money and provide financial freedom on: February 29, 2024, 12:00:38 AM
As much I'd love what you're saying about bitcoin, that's not what it's for, @Mate2237's purpose of bitcoin is much closer to the bitcoin whitepaper and if you read the abstract of the whitepaper, it didn't say there anywhere that Satoshi wants financial freedom or something, maybe it was down the line but bitcoin was made so we can do a trust less transaction and cut off the middleman. Maybe that purpose of financial freedom just got interpreted by other people and now it's the norm that we believe to be the reason why bitcoin was created, Satoshi didn't have it in his mind that bitcoin would grow this high so I don't believe that it's made because of the 2008 financial crisis, it's just a convenient coincidence.

319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 04:59:05 PM
Don't get too hyped up about the pumping of the prices and then suddenly panic sell when the price starts correcting itself, it's good that someone's advocating to still buy now but always remember that bitcoin's not forgiving to those that are only in it for the hype and not sticking through the bad times, best to stick with your current DCA habit and not get carried away, if you've got a set goal for bitcoin then follow that to the heart and to a T because in bitcoin, it's not the market that's against you, it's you and your mindset. Careful about buying now, even if it's clearly foreseeable that it will go up, remember that bitcoin can surprise the market not just in a positive way.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi worked for the NSA? on: February 27, 2024, 02:14:43 AM
That's just a random idea. There is as much evidence to back that random idea as their is other random ideas people have put out like Elon Musk is Satoshi lol. Not really any point in having a discussion on a completely random idea that has no evidence. You could come up with a thousand different ideas of who Satoshi was. Nothing special about this one.
I wouldn't go as far as saying that there's no point in talking about this, sure this is entirely random and speculation at best but we have to keep pumping out theories that hopefully sheds some light into what bitcoin is, I think that people that want to know who Satoshi is should and always have some pastime so they don't end up going insane about who's behind the enigma.
