Lawyers for both sides disclosed the settlement at a New York State court hearing in Manhattan yesterday... three days before the trial. The terms of the agreement remain a mystery... why not disclosed? Why does Trump need to be re-elected, obvious... they just issued statements that the matter "has been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties", but do the US population agree with that? Who were the interested parties? I'm not a voter in the US, but I hope people are very aware of this manipulation in the media. The Cohen case was just about money that Cohen claimed he was owed from working for Trump. Trump is notorious for not paying his lawyers, so I don't doubt Cohen. But it was a matter that was just between Cohen and Trumps business, and it was less than a million dollars so, really not all that interesting compared to the recent news that Trump will be arrested any day now for multiple new federal charges including conspiracy to defraud the United States. It's also very possible that in addition to the Felony charges in NY State, Federal Felony Charges in Florida (trial date was just set for next May) and soon Washington DC, he will be arrested on State racketeering charges in Georgia and face additional charges when a superseding indictment is unsealed in the documents case, (potentially for sharing war plans to attack Iran with media and staff at his club in New Jersey last summer). |

It seems like every morning I wake up and read more terrible news about this war. Today it’s Ukraine’s ports being bombed. There are videos surfacing of captured Ukrainian troops saying they were threatened with jail if they didn’t fight. I don’t know how much longer we’re expected to pay for this horrible proxy war, but I for one don’t think Ukrainians should be forced to fight in it or face jail.

I was just wondering. If by some chance, Trump becomes ineligible to run for POTUS 2024, what would be his reaction. Would he ask his supporters to boycott the elections (which is a very stupid move in my opinion), or will he nominate someone else such as Ivanka in his place? Trump is so unpredictable and I really can't predict what he will do if something like that happens. If he goes for the first option, then there will be massive civil unrest in the United States, because a significant share of the population are still loyal to Trump.

If Trump would have just complied with the subpoena, or asked a judge to review it in court, he wouldn't be facing criminal charges. What should the DOJ do when their investigation turns up all these text messages and audio recordings of Trump hiding these documents from the Government, tricking his own lawyers into signing sworn statements about the documents that he knew were not true, and showing classified war plans to the media and people who work for him? He is literally putting American Military and intelligence agents lives at risk. How does the DOJ have any choice but to indict him? If you strip all the politics out of the case you have a man that betrayed his country, and broke tons of laws while doing so. As far as the parties involved, the politics are all coming from Trump, not the White House, not the DOJ, not the FBI, not the Special Prosecutor, just Trump and his legal team. That's why you don't see any serious candidates running against him. If that happens, Trump has almost zero chance of a win. On the other hand, if Biden wins the primary, then things will be easy for Trump. As per the latest opinion polls, Trump is leading Biden by a large margin.

You can call it infighting, but I personally believe that some competition within the party itself can be healthy for the democracies of any nation, in this case for the health of the democracy of the USA.
