301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This address has $18 billion... on: April 27, 2018, 01:03:45 PM

You are reading it wrong since if you compute the amount of bitcoins in his address it will not sum up to a billions of dollars. But you are right and you are not dreaming when you saw the 80k plus bitcoins in his wallet address since the blockchain does not lie. You will also be shocked if you will also see a wallet which is a hundred thousand bitcoins on it.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market? on: April 27, 2018, 12:59:08 PM
There is no question as to whether who will take control of the market. It is obvious that bitcoin is the one that will be the master of all cryptocurrency and everytime bitcoin falls its value the red market will not only be visible to bitcoin but it will also befall to the whole cryptocurrency market. Sometimes we can say that the only reason why people are investing on altcoins is that so they can multiply their bitcoins.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin Boycotts CoinDesk’s Consensus Conference 2018 on: April 27, 2018, 12:56:17 PM
Yes! You read that right. Co - founder of ethereum has boycotted coindesk's consensus conference. He made series of tweets to show why and he meant business. Read about all this tweets on our news website.

Read the full news here : https://coinfrenzy.io/vitalik-buterin-boycotts-coindesk-consensus-conference/

he got the point, basically coindesk is just like any traditional medium out there who is trying to feed people with sensations in order to sell instead of proper journalism...

Vitalin Buterin is a genius, he is not an idiot and he is right not to attend and boycott the coindesks consensus conference this year. Coindesk was rumored to have been publishing FUD and fake news, gossips without evidence. I cannot blame Vitalik since he himself have witnessed how the fake news was very rampant in coindesk. This statement of Vitalik may bring a negative impact on the site and will lessen their readers.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bubbles a good thing? on: April 27, 2018, 12:51:19 PM
So we hear bitcoin is a bubble over and over. I was reading a book regarding bubbles and his take on them were fascinating. His argument was that the biggest leaps in innovation come through the speculation, exuberance and floods of money that bubbles produce.

Once popped we are left with cheap infrastructure that can be snapped at a huge discount with companies with the same goal. Because the costs are so much cheaper it makes it was easier to operate long term.

We are also left with what he calls infrastructure of the mind. With all the hype and competition we see during bubbles the levels of marketing and advertising we see leave an imprint in the average consumers mind and this mental infrastructure doesn't disappear when the bubble bursts and once the pieces are picked up this is when you see the true valuable businesses appear out of the ashes!

Does this argument have any value in your opinion?

I may try to disagree but the evidence to prove your thoughts and ideas are popping out. Many big business and merchants are coming this year 2018. They have already announced to the world that they are going to accept bitcoin as payment this year. Though the bubble have made a huge impact on my investment but it is also the time for me to buy more bitcoins. But frankly speaking I imagine that if bitcoin did not hype so much maybe merchants all over the world are now clinging to bitcoins already.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: April 27, 2018, 12:47:13 PM
I even sold my bitcoins when it was still at 200$ how much I will sell when it is at $100,000. My point is that I am earning bitcoins and I am not selling all of them. I will sell half of it and half of my earnings I will hold in btc form. I will keep holding those saved bitcoins until it reach a good value except if emergency occurs and I am forced to sell my bitcoins.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why not to invest in bitcoin? on: April 27, 2018, 12:42:15 PM
The ultimate reasons why people do not invest in bitcoin is not so much because they do not trust this currency or they are afraid to try a new innovation. But more than that the ultimate reasons are factors which sometimes out of control. This maybe sound funny but it is realistic I will post the list of the ultimate reasons why people do not invest in bitcoin.

1. No money - If you do not have money it is impossible for you to invest.
2, No internet access - In areas without internet access people do not invest in bitcoin because they just cant
3. No knowledge, skills - In third world countries people are more concerned on survival, they have no idea on how to use a computer or a mobile phone since their primary concern in life is just to survive. Of course they do not know what bitcoin since in their field it is not visible.
307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to protect yourself from Crypto Scammers on: April 27, 2018, 12:23:53 PM
In my years of experience with bitcoin there is only one effective way to avoid scammers. In joining ICO even if you do your research you will not know that they are scammers until the ICO is over. Even if how many preparations we do or make in the end we still end up being a victim to scammers. The best way to avoid scammers is to no invest your bitcoins. Just hold it in your wallet and hold it for a long time and when the price is right you can sell them and you will have a good profit.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin anniversary. 17 millionth mined. on: April 27, 2018, 12:14:05 PM
I thought that the 17th million volume of bitcoin will be mined tomorrow April 28, 2018 but I guess I was wrong since it was yesterday April 26, 2018. If bitcoin has a low inflation rate then this means that I also agree with the author and I will also hold my bitcoin until such time that my target amount will be reached.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: April 27, 2018, 11:29:13 AM
Well the government is already dominating bitcoin and there will be no chance that bitcoin can overcome the government. Before bitcoin can enter into a country, its either the government will ban or accept and place regulations. Since bitcoin is a currency and the government is a governing body, bitcoin cannot but must comply to the laws and regulations of that certain country.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Changelly Partners Up With Its Major Competitor Binance on: April 27, 2018, 10:57:21 AM

This move will help the 2 million registered users of Changelly with better rates and faster transactions while offering increased liquidity to Binance.

Continue reading: https://coingape.com/cryptocurrency-trading-platform-changelly-and-binance-partners-up/

This is a shocking news, I never saw this coming. If this is true then it will have a huge impact on bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency market. Though we are unclear if the value of btc will be affected by this move but one thing is for sure and that we cane expect a more smooth transaction and a more stable system and services as by-product of their merging.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is the most dominant? on: April 27, 2018, 10:51:01 AM
Why bitcoin is the most dominant among all crytocurrencies?
Is it because it is the first crytocurrency?
Is it because of its popularity?
Is it because of its value?
Please enlighten me.

Bitcoin is the dominant cryptocurrency its because of what you mentioned. If bitcoin was not the first cryptocurrency that succeeded then probably bitcoin is not on the top of the food chain right now. Also bitcoin become very popular with the public because of the trend of its value, it started out as centavos but right now its value is in thousands of dollars.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is keeping your money on Coinbase really that bad? on: April 26, 2018, 01:14:48 PM
TDIL Coinbase insures money lost from physical security, cyber attacks, and employee theft. they keep 98% of their funds offline. So back to my original point, is it really that important to keep your money off exchanges if they offer insurance and you personally make sure that your account isnt vulnerable to phone attacks? https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1662379-how-is-coinbase-insured-

I am not saying that coinbase is bad, but of course it can still be targeted by hackers and you could also lost your bitcoin in there. But it is not only coinbase but all exchanges out there are prone to hacking if they are not careful. I remember bitfinex the largest bitcoin trading site with the highest  volume of bitcoin was hacked and it took them a long time to refund the losses. Many conspiracy arose and they said that everything was an inside job but it was not proven. So my point is that do not keep your bitcoin in one exchange.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Result: Halal Bitcoin In accordance with Islamic Sharia on: April 26, 2018, 12:48:42 PM
Honestly, I am very happy after reading this news, because I am a Muslim.

A study results say, Bitcoin according to Islamic Shari'a. The results of this study open the market potential Bitcoin wider reach 1.6 billion Muslims around the world.

What do you think of this?

Let us say that bitcoin is in accordance with the Shariah Law but this would not imply a tremendous increase in bitcoins value. Since we do not know the actual of muslims that will buy bitcoin. The acceptance of bitcoin to the muslim community is a good news, but the usage or buying of bitcoin by the muslim community will have a long way to go.
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin newbie looking for some advice on: April 26, 2018, 12:45:44 PM

Hey guys, I’m fairly new to bitcoin and crypto in general. I have a pretty good understanding on how it works, though. I’m just looking for some advice from more seasoned traders. My one question is with how much bitcoin is now worth (6k baby!!!) would you advise throwing in a hundred or two now, or wait and see if the market crashes slightly? I’m only 20 and in school, so I don’t really think I should be investing more than I’m willing to lose

If you are afraid to lose then do not invest on bitcoin but rather take on jobs that pays on bitcoin. Here in the Philippines, mostly of the students who are into bitcoin does not invest on bitcoin but use their knowledge and skills to earn bitcoin through several online jobs. Today they are now earning huge amount of money due to their bitcoin holdings.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver and Bitcoin.com do a social attacks to Bitcoin on: April 26, 2018, 12:39:48 PM
Roger Ver knew that in bitcoin core there are no top management since Satoshi had hidden himself. So Roger Ver who separated himself to bitcoin and has a huge stash of bitcoin cash is starting to make a move. His move is well planned since he knows that the team behind bitcoin will just stay in silent and will not stop him. Today we cannot feel the effects of his efforts but in the future if he turns out to be successful then probably bitcoin cash can surpass bitcoin, but if he fails bitcoin will stay at the top.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is facing a pullback ? on: April 26, 2018, 12:29:34 PM
Bitcoin rose to $9,767 on Bitfinex yestarday - the largest amount since March 12 - before falling back to $9,100. As of composing,BTC is changing hands at $9,125.
The 6.8 percent drop from the intraday highs signals bullish fatigue close to the step by step rising. Moreover, the 4-hour diagram beneath indicates scope for a more profound pullback ahead.

It did not stop with $9125 but it continuously dropped to 8800$. People are again panicking since they thought it will go back to 6700$. But looking at the charts the drop of bitcoins value is just temporary, in just a days time it will go back up to 10k$. So let us not panic and just trust bitcoin and as long as you  hold on to your bitcoins you will not loss but will have another opportunity to profit when it rises again in value.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I.T Professionals and bitcoin industry on: April 26, 2018, 12:26:05 PM
Hello guys, this is my first topic. Do you think i.t professionals or specialist has an advantage in bitcoin world? Why?

IT professionals have an advanced understanding how the computer works, they are well-versed with software and hardware. Due to their background it is easy for them to understand how bitcoin works. But in terms of how the market works, the traders have the advantage. But it does not matter anymore since as long as you are willing to understand and learn a thing about bitcoin, it will only need time and effort before you have a grasp on it.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about Bitcoin and consumer protection? on: April 26, 2018, 12:19:25 PM
how can i be sure that my money would be protected from scammers or how can i know the stability of bitcoin?

If your question is how will your bitcoin be protected to scammers will be up to you. If you dont give your btc to the scammers then it will not go to them. It is like your paper money, it will not go to the hands of the scammers if you will not give it to them. With regards to the stability of bitcoin, bitcoin is very stable but its value is a subject to volatility that means that it has the tendency to inflate or deflate in value.
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Housing Rentals Denominated in Bitcoins on: April 26, 2018, 12:15:32 PM
I'm tired of hearing "Yes, but until I can pay my rent and buy my groceries in bitcoins, they will never succeed..."

Is it legal in your country to design a contract between landlord and renter where the payment exchanged is denominated in bitcoins?  Is this any different than asking if the payment could be denominated in some non-native currency?  How about in gold bars?  Where are the landlords on this forum?  Where are the lawyers?

We do not need to call the landlords and lawyers in this forum. Common sense will tell us that if they are not into cryptocurrency or bitcoin they are not here so its just a waste of time waiting for them here. The contract between a landlord and the renter t use bitcoin as payment does not require legalities. But it is the willingness of the landlord to accept bitcoins and the capacity of the renter. We cannot just force them to do that if they do not want it.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Outside CEO of Paypal claims that Bitcoin is a SCAM. Your views? on: April 26, 2018, 12:09:38 PM
I was just browsing cointelegraph's posts from yesterday when I bumped into this news article. I feel his statements are highly exaggerated and he is over emphasizing on the negative aspects of cryptos (Some of them are not even true). What are your views on this?
This news definitely didn't create a FUD because we didn't see the market dropping.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-is-a-scam-claims-ousted-ceo-of-paypal

When cryptocurrency especially bitcoin came into existence it has place a huge impact on Paypals transaction. Before Paypal have the monopoly as the biggest online payment system but everything changes when people started to accept cryptocurrency and bitcoin as payments online. Bitcoin is a threat to Paypal and they are trying to remove the threat by posting some negative news and reviews about it.
