301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis useful? on: February 15, 2018, 10:49:57 PM
it is very useful in my opinion because it gives you an insight about the decision making. Sometimes it can mislead you but at least you are not depended on luck but on analysis and even if you lose you wouldn`t care too much after you have done your analysis in a correct way .

TA is very usefull indeed if its a natural growth or data and not manipulated. But for a manipulated one its hard to derive an assumption.TA is only a guide and an aid in making decission whether to buy or to sell your holdings. For a trader, you must invest time to learn this things, very useful.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin alternatives in 2018 on: February 15, 2018, 10:41:58 PM
In 2018 my alternative to bitcoin was Ethereum. ETH is receiving great attention from the investment community in the world and currently the value of ETH is low compared to bitcoin so its growth opportunity is better than bitcoin. 2018 tends to invest in ICO so it is great to keep ETH for long term investments and participate in good ICO projects.
ETH is very valuable also and it is different from bitcoin where in you can make dapps out of it.There are many  ICO's are being built under this platform and atill counting. Though eth cant reach thenlevel of btc as of now but it is becoming popular and useful.I think its better alsi to stock eth as bitcoin alternative as higher  growt is expected for eth.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Money on: February 14, 2018, 04:50:33 AM
How exactly does the money making process work?  You buy some cryptocurrency for a certain price then sell it for a higher price and the difference is the money you've made?  This would mean that the money you've made is still in terms of cryptocurrency.  Then can that money be converted into the whatever kind of cash your country uses?  How does it work?

Trading or investing in cryptocurrencies doesnt work just like that, you need to do a lot of research first so you can choose which coins would give you a lot of gains in the future, you need to eliminate most of the shitty coins in the market, theres a lot to be consider like the coin's working product/services does it has any use to the real world? development team should be good so they can achieve their plans whether it is short or long term plans, this is not a buy and sell investment you need to familiarize how the market works, and how these fundamental and technical analysis can be a big factor to coin's price improvements,do not focus in making money instead how to learn things most of the basics things you need to know.

Converting your cryptocurrency assets to a fiat currency would be more easier when you convert your altcoins to bitcoin or ethereum first.

Nice info...Actually I am.also looking for ICO's to possibly invest and trade.Trading is one way to gain or earn in cryptocurrency.Another one is through joining campaigns. When you convert your crypto to btc,its easy now to be converted to fiat in your local exchanges. So far most are using localbitcoins afaik. You may opted also for  local meetups but be careful it is very risky.

Re: Have you been scammed? or almost?

A lot of it Cheesy

When I was  just starting, I am hook to HYIP Programs and we, most of it are scam. Last time a year ago, I was scam with someone from Facebook saying I have a bonus for holding  xlm. I did sign-in from the link he gives,  only to find out that it was not legit. Its too late, he got my balance. I am thankful that  its only a small amount. To all reading this, be always careful from offers by stranger. Verify always if its legit.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I HOLD this: ----> post your holding coins! on: February 14, 2018, 02:11:55 AM

306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your crypto? on: February 14, 2018, 01:54:37 AM
I mostly mine and hodl, but my friend day trades and says I should start getting into it. What do you prefer to do and do you think there is a better route to take? I personally think it's all up to personal preference, I'm new though.

HODL is the only ultimate way, though "HODL" sometimes gives saturated effects. If you are still able to make a buy, why don't you buy it?...

I do hold too my Cryptocurrency  earedn from campaigns. I just let it sit in my wallet hoping it will accumulate values in time.Indeed, holding valuable coins is very rewarding. Also, if I need  fiat, I just convert a portion of it. I am less active in trading for a few weeks now  since it seems its not favorable and bitcoin is in its low  now.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading by follow signals. Is it good? on: February 13, 2018, 08:31:18 AM
You are told to pay monthly fees ,, but if you lose they are ready to replace or not?
Many groups give free signals, why you should pay.But in trading better use its own analysis.
That's the point when the tips didn't came to reality and your holdings being trapped, they won't pay you back instead they will just let you hold until the price will fall more, I'm sure this paid tipsters are very well trained in terms of risk, they make some but gain a lot, they move the coins then provide it to their group the earlier you bought the safer you can have, and the earlier you sell the surer you can earn, you can find a lots of free tipster inside telegram just make your own assessment before following them.
I think that everyone should make their assessment of what is happening and understand that only personal market research needs to be taken into account, because other people's advice and forecasts can be far from reality.

Base on my experience, as I am following others signals on telegram, some are quite ok but some are just for their personal profit. After I bought base on their signals, i am too late already as it dive heavily. I feel that they give signals so that they can sell and exit. Though I have no proof, but its my gut feeling that telling me so. That is why as an advise, make your own research and validations too.  Do not believe what is being feed, but  your investigations too. Their signal is best resources to start with.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best Airdrop and Mega Bounties!!! on: February 13, 2018, 08:21:21 AM
Done bookmarking this thread. Great sources for more valuable info. So much campaigns to choose from and most are run by good campaign managers. As a reminder, be wary also with those scammers, wherein they announced those approved participants after a week and only few are accepted. LOL Also there are campaigns where manager gone missing with the funds,or even the Devs are missing after a successful ICO. Always check people behind the project, the whitepaper, their affiliates etc.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: February 13, 2018, 08:10:38 AM
Personally, I think it is not appropriate to give Bitcoin to the poor and needy. Bitcoin needs internet and gadgetsIn order to maximize its benefits. Considering a lifestyle of a poor, I think they can't maximize its use.
Fiat is the best to offer the poor to prevent the rigor of conversion. Contributing an anonymous coin to a charity foundation can make one susceptible to scam. Such fund should be channeled in traceable form, to allow prosecution of use.

Same thoughts, its better to give them fiat and the said less fortunate brother is eager enough to learn, I am more willing for him to teach  all about I learn from cryptocurrencies from the basics and how to earn it.Its better to teach them the process so that when you let them alone, they know what to do. Its better to teach them how to fish, than always giving them fish to feed. Smiley
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIBERATE ASCENDING on: February 13, 2018, 08:00:24 AM

311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to become a trader on: February 13, 2018, 07:50:55 AM
To become a better Trader, make good research and carry out your feasibility study well, especially on the coins to trade with. Just be strong and be courageous enough to take good risk and prepare yourself for sudden failure. Because there is never a prominent business without its other side or challenges.
Becoming a trader is not that much easy thing as it seems to be. It does take lot of efforts and hard work, only then it becomes possible for anyone to become trader. Till the theme you will not get some very good amount of knowledge regarding all the things which are related to that of trading and which can later on help you while dealing the things, it will be very much difficult for you to become a successful trader.

I agree, you cant be a good trader overnight. Learning to trade ois a continuous process. It takes a lot of effort and experiences., To start with, just open an account on any trading exchanges like Poloniex, bittrex or Binance. Start to familiarize with site and start trading in small amount. Experience is the best teacher they say, in addition it gives you more confidence also.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese New Year? on: February 13, 2018, 07:40:36 AM
Chinese new year is the largest festival for the Chinese. This is the festival when Chinese people visit their parents and family with gifts with large number of people leaving the metros to get to their village home. We can aspect a high pressure on sale. And it just lies 2 days after the valentine day, a popular spending event around the world.

I think so, as we know Chinese has significant crypto users also. I hope the effect is not too much and minimal. We know that bitcoin has dump so hard already, and we do not want to see diving  more downward.  Grin

313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suicide due to losses due to investment in virtual currency on: February 13, 2018, 07:17:09 AM
this is a sad story but nothing, sadly, news in this world.
Crypto are just another form of investment and losing all your money can take you to the edge and take this stupid decision.
Many people are killing themselves after they lost their job and can't find a new one, can't afford meals for their family or lose their houses.
Crypto are affected by this, everything who has a real value can affect your life in a good or bad way.

Very sad news. Cryptocurrency is volatile .it has no fixed price so it may change every now and then . My advise is invest only what you can afford to lose. In that case it wont hurt you so much when you lost it. Don't apply for a loan just to invest in cryptocurrency. Don't sell your properties. If you want really to earn without investing any money, join bounty campaigns
Thats right, invest only on the amount that you can handle, or just a spare amount for investment like cryptocurrency. Its very volatile indeed, and any moment you can lose or gain with big difference. Also, emotions shouldn't be allowed with cryptocurrency, as trading, is like a gambling. Ready yourself always with an eventual result whether good or bad.
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Come Back? on: February 12, 2018, 08:17:47 PM
I think that you need to wait now. Correction is coming to an end in the market. And this means that growth will begin. And the price of your coin should go up.

I think it started to grow now, last day bitcoin price return to $8,000 already. Though its a minor uptrend movement, its a good sign. Let just be hopeful, we have still 10 months before the year ends Smiley We know that most cryptocurrency is pumping as the year end nears.
315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Chinese New Year boost crypto market cap? on: February 12, 2018, 04:57:00 AM
With Chinese New Year coming up on 2/16 what do you think will happen will the market cap get an influx of new money from China or not? I'm thinking we will and hoping it will boost prices for all coins but of course, this is just speculation, what do you think?

The Chinese New Year will bring a boost to the market, after all China is a big Crypto Market and especially on Chinese New Year
there a lot of money changing hands.

I do not think so, or the other way around will happen. For example there is a possibility of dump since most Chinese will sell their btc for fiat for Chinese. though we did not know how the market will react, this is just my opinion. Let us be vigilant always.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like airdrops? on: February 08, 2018, 11:29:19 PM
I like airdrops too since i got one in October 2017 and the price skyrocketed. But now, airdrops is more on collecting sensitive info like email and the like.  I like airdrop before, that only bitcointalk profile, telegram, twitter and wallet only is needed. Some airdrop before are successful coin now like ebtc, they have a very active community. Devs are having update frequently and is active too.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks must consider Crypto-currency as an opportunity, not as a threat. on: February 08, 2018, 11:03:06 PM
They fear crypto because if cryptocurrencies replace fiat then there will be no use for banks. If i am a crypto holder why should i give the bank a share in my cryptos by keeping it when i myself can keep it safe in crypto wallets? Of course they fear this threat and i am sure even  right now it already affecting them.

But banks cant control it, I mean the bitcoin and  altcoins. They cant charge for profit in the transaction fees. Your cypto wallet is almost the same as bank where you have the control of your crypto assets. This way bank is threatened and if more people are into crypto, more banks will be closed. They should start to innovate and offer more services that caters or use and incorporate blockchain technology.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do i sell my altcoins? on: February 08, 2018, 10:52:56 PM
First, you need to understand where this token is for sale, you need to look at the information in coinmarketcap, if your token is not there, then you need to wait when there is a stock exchange. because not all exchanges are altcoin lists that we have.

Correct, you have to check first on CMC for exchanges they are listed. Make an account there or if you have one, just login and transfer your coins to trade. Also, if it is a ERC20 token or Ethereum base, you can  trade it in etherdelta.

Usually I trade with Poloniex, Bittrex, Binance and ccex before but seems ccex is  not efficient now.
319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can terrorism be stopped on: February 08, 2018, 10:39:50 PM
The recommended steps to apply contain 4 points:

1. Enforcing the law, sharing information and intelligence data, effective control of border areas, preventing terrorist networks from using cyber technology including sharing of global information through interpol

2. Encouraging the UN to take a leadership position and play a more significant role in overcoming acts of terrorism, including finding a root cause solution

3. Continuing the finalization of a comprehensive convention on international terrorism which will become the legal basis for overcoming international acts of terrorism

4. Strengthening the center of deradicalization already in the region

And may I add, if we all people help give the info to our intel personnel. It is also the help of community's participation that is very crucial. It is every bodies responsibility. Any suspecting movements should be reported.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: what benefits you've got from bitcoin in 2017 on: February 08, 2018, 06:10:42 AM
There is a lot benefits from bitcoin in 2017 and mostly on financial aspect of my life. I've grow my portfolio before the year ends, augment our budget and bought some necessities. Its the "portfolio" that  I am really very thankful because it is something like a savings to me, and being hopeful that it will grow more. With bitcoin also, I am aware and become more learned about this technology and learned also to trade.
