... and ordered the elimination of entire ... and trees!

No one ever talks about the trees.  They had it bad too but are completely forgotten in history LOL!  Wink

Dogma that exploits fear and encourages group think in any form is really dangerous. Religion is just the most successful and thus most horrific example because.  Fear keeps animals alive, it is our most primal of instincts to fight or flight and that decision is purely based on a fear expectation result.  In order to reduce a fear based reaction which we hate because they can lead to death if wrong, a lot of animals find protection in groups, it comforts them immensely.

How about adding to the list at 11 something like.

You think that "re-branding" words from the bible like slavery to a really good social security program for its time somehow changes the meaning of the words and texts!

I wonder how many "Christians" know the name Yaweh without looking it up! just a little buttress for #1
302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ginsburg has cancerous tumor removed. Any Coney Barrett next SC justice? on: December 22, 2018, 10:33:11 PM
I think RBG should just hold the seat open as long as she's breathing (and Trump is in the WH).

I'm okay if Ted Cruz or Newt Gingrich is nominated. Maybe it's payback time.

Maybe Biden will win 2020 and RBG will step down down early in 2021 so Biden can nominate Hilary!!!  When the GOP loses the senate in 2020 they will not be happy they "nuked" SCOTUS nominee filibustering!
303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mad Dog Mattis Resigns - Trumps replacement? on: December 21, 2018, 06:05:12 PM
Watching the MSM say the wheels are coming off the bus and there are no more adults in the room for the 701st time is a little funny.  The democrats seem to say constantly how weak the republicans are for "cowering" to Trump yet they are scarred shitless of an impeachment fight and avoid talking about it cause clinton...  They seem to want the opposition to do the heavy lifting for them?

What I think is ironic with these moves is that the next POTUS (dem or republican) will end up going back in there and will say they need to go back in harder this time cause we left.  This will give the military contractors more revenue in the coming decades...

I'm also extremely curious to see who he picks, he seems to have had a little problem finding a Chief of Staff.  It should be interesting to hear the names being floated around.
304  Other / Politics & Society / Mad Dog Mattis Resigns - Trumps replacement? on: December 21, 2018, 01:35:41 PM
Mad Dog Mattis resigned yesterday.

Read his resignation letter: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-46644841

No indication yet who Trump will replace him with.

The globalist seem to think this is a bad news and the isolationists seem to think its good news.

308  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democratic Nominee. on: December 16, 2018, 12:51:14 PM
There was a couple of polls out of Iowa this weekend.
Biden ~30%
Sanders ~20%
O'Rourke ~10%
Warren, Harris and Booker all come in behind them with single digits (Booker polled the worst at ~4)%

If any politician spends more than he received in contributions, his candidacy is invalidated.

Problem solved. Next.

You mean like most developed countries essentially do, you so crazy!

Legalized purchasing of politicians is the American way, what you propose is down right communist...  Wink  Cool

Also, about Putin being a criminal, well, no duh. We've never suspected otherwise.

In other last minute late breaking news water is wet.

There probably isn't enough disc space in the world to store all the information if all his crimes were known and recorded...
312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: December 11, 2018, 10:26:54 PM
I'm liberal on many things except for the 2nd amendment and a handful of issues. I'm very pro 2nd amendment, with that being said, we need to at least shore up some loopholes that currently exist, especially for people that have been diagnosed with mental illnesses, these people should not have access to a weapon.  I believe there are laws already in place to address this, but the authorities at the Federal and at many State levels are just incompetent or do not enforce the current laws.

Boggles my mind that many on the left want to ban certain weapons like the Armalite AR-15, its a semi-auto rifle, which means there is no selective fire, thus it's not an "assault weapon".  I have an AR-15 that fires the 5.56 and 223 calibers and an AR-10 that fires the 308 and also the 7.62×51 NATO, (the 7.62x51 can chamber into a 308 rifle, but technically they're slightly different and I'm not gonna go into the details here).

I also conceal carry where I can, but lawfully and I never intend on breaking any laws such as conceal carrying on a university campus (state law) or at a post office (federal law).  When going to the post office, I always park across the street and never on postal property and leave my weapon in my car and then go mail my boxes or whatever.  My guns are always locked away in safes and ammo in gun cabinets.  These are in two separate rooms, and the only guns that are chambered are the ones in my bedroom safe.

Freedom shouldn't be subverted because the collective says so! No sir, freedom is born out of free will, and free will is the greatest gift our creator endowed us with.  It's how we use our free will that will determine our destiny and future.  At present, we should continue to have guns to defend ourselves and our families until the time where human consciousness rises to the next level.

Now I need to have a flamethrower, grenades, land mines and I might as well get a few RPG's in case you get a gunship or drone or something cool to defend myself against someone as armed as you are.  eventually we all need nukes to protect ourselves!  I am 99.9999% sure you are not a threat to me but what if the guy coming to get me IS that well armed, I need to be better armed.  You only need to look at the cold war to see that arms escalation on a global scale leads to a metric fuck ton of wasted money and time, on top of producing thousands of nukes that need to be maintained and eventually disposed of...
313  Other / Politics & Society / NRA conspires with Russians to help elect Donald J. Trump on: December 11, 2018, 05:51:59 AM

Butina has inked an agreement with prosecutors and becomes the first Russian since the 2016 election to confess to a crime connected to efforts to influence American politics.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/maria-butina-pleads-guilty-agrees-to-cooperate-with-us

The NRA spent $30 million dollars on the Trump 2016 campaign.  That is almost 3 times more than they have ever spent on a presidential campaign.  That money came from NRA unreported sources.  The NRA has claimed it is in financial trouble, the NRA has been cultivated by the "Right To Bear Arms" group in Russia (the irony of a Russian NRA is laughable).  The Russian NRA (headed by a top Putin ally) does nothing inside Russia, Putin does not want his citizens armed obviously.

The Russian Right To Bear Arms gave the NRA lots and lots of money to help get Trump elected.  Trump's campaign also conspired with the NRA and committed blatant federal campaign finance violations according to a former federal election commissions president.

The Russian connections are just starting to come out now.  The Americans beloved NRA is a nothing but a Russian hack organization now and the clock is ticking for the pussy grabber!

314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Genetic Engineering of Humans on: December 10, 2018, 05:42:08 PM
We should create super AI to completely replace humans at work (as suggested by someone in the other thread).

Who the hell knows maybe sentient AI is the next evolutionary leap for humans.  We could go from being a biological species to the first "mechanical", "digital" or some integrated combination species.  If we can reverse engineer the brain and genetically alter it at birth to "read and write" to a computer or network we might not even need genetically engineered bodies anymore!
315  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Genetic Engineering of Humans on: December 10, 2018, 04:30:26 PM
GE will be part of our species evolution and the only thing that will stop evolution of our species is extinction. Humans will do it if we can and if we don't all do it someone will get a major head start on it and could be used for really really bad shit.

According to evolution and our understanding of the Earth if humans are alive in another 4 billion or so years those humans will look as much like us as we do to our 4 billion year old amoeba ancestors.

I wonder if big corporations will genetically enhance humans to not require sleep anymore so people can work 20 hours a day for them?

Perhaps with the integration of genetic engineering and technology a person might be able to transfer his conscious anywhere in the world immediately to a genetically engineered "host body/container"! I would like my host bodies to look like Scarlett Johansson pls!
316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US-China Trade War Update! on: December 10, 2018, 04:00:01 PM
Bankruptcy is used as a way to discharge loans, and even if it is something that isn't 'nice' to do, it does make debts go away and it's part of the law that can be used.

You're 100% right its legal and done frequently, but when you do it over and over again as a business model the guys lending the money end up saying ya, no fuck you no more loans.  Then if your Trump and can't get loans in American you go to Russia who is happy to give him money for some reason  Wink

For an alternate view on Trumps financial history you can see the NYT article based on 1000's of actual documents...  I won't quote or link it as I think it might be behind a paywall.  (You might find them interesting based on things we've talked about in private).

Trump's business model of rape and run isn't going to beat the Panda!

Anyway, the pine cone is still alive, partly because it's not very tasty, and mostly because I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it out of the bottle (maybe you'll have better luck).

I feel like you're over thinking it a bit! Rock>glass!

318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei arrested in Canada for extradition to the US on: December 08, 2018, 04:17:52 PM
So, this is only because of the interests, not right or wrong?

No it's because it was done within the laws and bi-lateral agreements between countries who have been allies for more than a fucking century... Canada has agreements with their allies (for reasons I explained and are extremely obvious) and would be breaking those agreements by not arresting an alleged criminal wanted in the US.  She will be given her due process according to Canadian laws.  If you don't like the Canadian laws you are free to NOT fucking go there...  Its hardly a secret that Canada and the US are extremely close allies if you commit crimes against the USA, Canada is not the best place in the world to travel too...
319  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US-China Trade War Update! on: December 08, 2018, 04:05:44 PM
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOUR COMMIE ASS TO COME TO THIS THREAD!

Here's the thing with this trade war, it's been going on for years and it's been something that the US has been losing for a long time now. We've literally just been letting the Chinese do as they please for forever, and only now are we saying -- no, you're not allowed to just steal intellectual property without consequences, and no you cant place tarrifs on goods coming into your country but then want the lowest tarrifs for other countries.

China has been abusing us for long time, and it may not be a quick win -- but I do trust that this administration knows that they're going to do the right thing and win out in the end.

So trade wars are complicated is that what your saying, cause I'm not sure what to believe anymore Trump said they were easy to win.

JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!  If you think a man that lost hundreds of millions of his fathers money, lost millions in casino's (for everyone else casino's are a license to print money lol), went bankrupt 6 times, and is NAMED by his own DOJ as a FELON is the right fellow to fix a problem that has been around for decades and is complicated as fuck then you might as well just employ the old JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL policy!
320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei arrested in Canada for extradition to the US on: December 08, 2018, 03:46:31 AM
In any case, the United States should compete with China for technology (hacker war) rather than abuse judicial means, which seems very bad.

So the US is only allowed to cheat the same way China cheats??  China is a worse threat but the US cheating is worse??

For Canada, I know they are hard to choose

I guarantee you it wasn't a hard choice.  An ally made a legal request, Canadian and US law enforcement work together every day to bring criminals to justice on both sides of the border.  The US and Canada share the longest undefended border on the planet have been allies and are economically dependent on each other for over a 100 years.  Canadians aren't fucking stupid, Americans are better friends than enemies!  China, meh we like our cheap junk as much as anyone but we like the trillions of USD more!
