I must say i was shocked how fast i got the card, i am still mad cards cant have persons name on them. They verify our identity and ask for documents but cant get a card with a name on it. I hope i can use it to rent a car when i travel for work. Also i dont like the activation process of the card they really need a native english speaker to translate this. Seems like they used google translate and it went wrong with words and meanings lost or not making sense. Also i dont like how the site where you go to activate card will show $0 balance even if you have bitcoin on ANXBTC website. I will try to use card sometime this weekend see what happens. Verifying your identity is not because we find it fun, it's because it is required by the government. We are not a bank, we are a Bitcoin Exchange. i seen anx card but the fees for each use do not seem good , i like no monthly fee but come on $1.25 for each transaction purchase at store is something else. They need a credit or debit card that has persons name on it to work / match id. Only exception they make is on company credit cards that have business name on them. As for airlines i am sure they might have issue but never know. Is there any reason why ANX will ask for verification information but not send cards out with peoples name they verify? The verification information is to make sure that you are an actual human, and to comply with KYC/AML laws. We cannot issue cards with names printed on them because that would be far too costly, since we would have to personalize each card. We simply order a bunch of cards from our partners, and distribute them, which is why they only have "ANX" printed on them. What you could try is to sign the card at the back, and then provide the same signature when you are paying. |

Any measures to reduce the fee? It is possible to read in the FAQ:
"ANX customers are no longer charged transaction fees when using the ANXBTC platform to buy and sell bitcoins. The price displayed for buying and selling bitcoins via ANXBTC is determined by the members of the ANX Open Dealer Network who are actively participating at the time your order is submitted. The price displayed is the total price and your account will be credited and debited as per the details provided on screen. There are no additional or hidden fees. Deposit and withdrawal fees still apply and can be viewed via the Funds Management screen."

"Transaction fees are deducted from the received amount."
but nothing else.

Yes, that is what the FAQ says...and thats the case with my old ANX (regular) Card, but with my new ANX Premium Card seems to just be able to refill with BTC. There is no option to deduct the balance from my USD account on ANX. The exact exchange price is always changing, obviously, I'll ask and get back to you, as well as double check your inquiry about the name thing as well! Second, BitPlastic is an extremely shady website, and its slogan is simply a lie. They aren't "The only bitcoin debit card". They also charge 6-8% to exchange your BTC into fiat, and they charge $1.50 per ATM transaction. We, ANX, have cards in stock and we are able to ship them out immediately. I am not quite sure what the device you mentioned is, but it should be quite safe. |
