3041  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Open Scammer DataBase on: January 07, 2017, 04:31:28 AM
What is the open scammer database?
The open scammer database will be a website where you can search for emails, websites, Bitcointalk users, Skype accounts and so on. The website then checks this data against a huge database of accounts and algorithms and then says if it is safe to trade with the person you searched. You will also be able to submit scammer reports and positive trading feedback.
I like the way you have elaborated stuff "website then checks this data against a huge database of accounts and algorithms and then says if it is safe to trade with the person you searched" lol, nothing fancy really. You store email addresses of a scam artist into your database and on "true" search results you display them with a fancy message "Do Not Deal With them".The idea is nice, except scammers are smart enough to use different set of information for every scam the attempt espeically if they see such this exists.
3042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: January 07, 2017, 04:26:52 AM
I am just wondering if you still would gamble if you would have enough money? I mean, now as it is, do you gamble for the fun or for the profit?
If we had enough money, how gambling would any difference ? You lose : You still have enough money,You win: You still have enough money. This topic has become a cliche in the gambling section.

Kind of an obvious answer to this. Like maku said, gambling is a form of entertainment and people like it because it satisfies the brains need for short term gain. That feeling of a win will satisfy a person with or without a million dollars.
I believe you guys put too much physics, psychological analysis to a topic that is as useless as this.We all know what gambling is.
3043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin price and gambling on: January 06, 2017, 01:36:59 PM
I think the rise of Bitcoin price will affect the gambling market positively, because that rise will result in more Bitcoin users, as we can watch now that all news companies focus on Bitcoin price rise, so Bitcoin is getting more popularity.
I'm afraid not!
Rise in bitcoin prices will make it unaffordable for new adapters.$1000 for 1 bitcoin does seem a bit expensive.Even though the investment is safe,it is a costly one at this point of time.
The holders aren't selling right now, market demands are unsatisfied.Don't think potential bitcoin gamblers would love taking a few loses.
The rise in bitcoin prices has already attracted big organizations and government sectors .The bitcoin gambling industry might not have a future if government plans to impose taxes on using bitcoin services.
3044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which bitcoin gambling site is your favorite place to go? on: January 06, 2017, 01:26:30 PM
I am just wondering what are your favorite Bitcoin gambling sites and why?  Smiley
-There is no one favorite gambling site. For dice and slots, obviously www.crypto-games.net,for sports-betting,directbet.eu.
-Crypto-games.net is been around a long time.High value faucet, fast and instant withdrawals without any issues.
-This far,it is the most reliable gambling site I've seen around bitcointalk.Even the famous gambling sites have had issues regarding withdrawal or general reputation wise but I've barely noticed anyone being unsatisfied with the experience they had on crypto-games.
3045  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Are Online Wallets safe ? on: January 06, 2017, 12:05:26 PM
Hi
is it a good idea to store bitcoins in popular online wallets like blockchain.info or coinbase
can these wallets get hacked one day ?
-Depends how many bitcoins are you willing to store.
-You can use online wallets for regular day-to-day transactions involving lesser amounts Do not store more bitcoins than you can afford to lose on online wallets,
-If on blockchain.info, the first thing you do is back-up your phrase and wallet (in pdf and store it as securely as possible)
-Avoid coinbase on any costs. They're are a damn bank and not a wallet.
3046  Economy / Reputation / Re: Got negative trust [no reason] [WTF] on: January 06, 2017, 11:26:24 AM
Even if you manage to convince the others to remove their negative trust of you, this one won't be removed any-time before Rapture:

3048  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What platform or script is this? on: January 06, 2017, 06:16:22 AM
Hi guys,

I have reached a dead-end in trying to figure out what script these platforms below are using

https://chronobank.io/login
https://fly.wings.ai/#/?signIn=1
https://tokes.incentloyalty.com/ico
Script is a vague term.Use algorithms or programs instead.Let me break it down.
1.They use their own programs, written in either node, python or PHP.
2.What you exactly want to know ? How the website is built or the project in general ? Most of the projects use C++,Python/ other high level languages.
3.A lot of ICO script sellers in the market.Obviously they're bought by people for potential scams.

My question is, if I wanted someone to build a platform like this for me, how in the heck would I describe it to them?
Just tell them you want to start an ICO ? Btw, I'm not clear of your intentions.Do you have a project to start an ICO?

I have been told that "bootstrap" is used to build platforms like this, but since I'm not an experienced programmer at this stage - I have no idea what "bootstrap" actually means Cheesy
Bootstrap is a Css based web-design framework.Only web page is designed with that. Not a big deal really.

3049  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Steganography and BTC -- Making BTC More Private? on: January 06, 2017, 06:07:04 AM
I have been interested in finding ways to make the whole Bitcoin Ecosystem™ more private.  Today in the shower (where most of my creative ideas occur to me), I had an idea: (somehow) using steganograpy to hide ways of moving Bitcoin around.  Steganography is the encryption technique of hiding information in a picture, say, transmitting it to the recipient who would then decrypt it.
Isn't barcode system a type of steganograpy ? What would you want to hide? Transactions ? Private Keys? It is a good encryption practice but again boils down to the same bitcoin ecosystem.Lose a private key and you're done. (a private key would be used to decrypt the image data I believe).

P.s.: Forum should have a "shower-thoughts" board.

My idea is not even half-baked.  Nor am I able to capitalize at all on this, so I just toss this out to the community here for discussion.  If this idea has any merit, feel free to run with it at no cost.
It's not offering any advantaged over the current system and hence,NO!

A possible example might be to send a Public Key and Private Key tucked away there in a picture of the Grand Canyon.  Email the photo to someone who then can get the BTC.
On what basis a user has to decrypt the private key ? Much prone to Man in the Middle Attack?
3050  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Boombastic77 on: January 05, 2017, 06:49:00 PM
It means that the scammer started a trade for the Kaiku card on Localbitcoins and got OP to fund it. The scammer runs with the funds, leaving OP with nothing.

Scammer -> Starts escrow on LocalBitcoins.
Scammer -> Gets OP to pay the seller on Localbitcoins by claiming its him.
op -> Pays and expects BTC
Scammer -> Gets BTC from Localbitcoins seller, leaves.

Leaves a dispute between op and the seller on Localbitcoins
Thanks for simplifying it for me.I get it now.
Basically, this is smart lol Too dumb of OP to not contact the trader on localbitcoins with his own account.
@Op,Why didn't you use your personal localbitcoins account for the exchange ?
3051  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Boombastic77 on: January 05, 2017, 05:57:56 PM
Those Pm's don't prove jack.
I'm sorry you got scammed but please try to be as much detailed as possible.
-What is man in a middle localbitcoins attack ?
-Where's the transaction id ?
-Where are the PM's you sent him ?
-How can you get scammed off localbitcoins ?

You know,Explain.
3052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling investment is zero sum on: January 05, 2017, 05:49:58 PM
Gambling investment is zero or negative sum, considering the house has to profit.
Not always. If you're playing on a reputed gambling site (like the one in my signature),the house odds are comparatively low and the rounds are provable fair. It's a myth that the house has to profit. How can one assume that when they have seeds of the previous rounds to verify the bet was fair ? High house odds,I agree but nowadays most of the gambling sites are lowering it down to 2-0.01%.

So why are you guys do bitcoin gambling as an investment instruments? OR merely just for the fun, like going to a physical casino.
Investment and playing, two different things (atleast in online bitcoin gambling).Differs from person-person.For me,it's all about the time to kill.
3053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Are Your Favorite eSports To Bet On? And Why? on: January 05, 2017, 04:15:00 PM
The title says it all. Whats your favorite esports to bet on and why?
DOTA.
Because I play the game and understand the statistics.Secondly,it's fair.No trace of cheating in Globally Live Broadcasted Battles.Next up is CSGO for obvious reasons.

I will start it off. My favorite is csgo because its the one game i love playing and watching. Its easy for me to keep track of whats going on in the pro scene so I am rarely wrong on my csgo bets.
The only problem is,they manipulate stuff at times. If the game doesn't represent a championship, bets can be favoured in the hands of less obvious wins.
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: January 05, 2017, 04:10:55 PM
Playing gambling is actually for all but there are some instances that really prohibits us like in religion stuffs or beliefs but there are people who would like to play no matter what as long you enjoy playing gambling without aiming for money then it should be fine and theres nothing to be ashamed off same as you said and I agree with that.
I have no fuckin clue if FortuneJack really pays for signature campaigns or simply hires their own staff with multiple accounts.Everybody including you and the quoted dude below has same style and timing of posting.

Perhaps many gamblers who do not feel embarrassed, they remain confident of gambling because they do not see anything wrong from gambling. All looked fine in their eyes. But if their parents think differently, if their parents think that there is something wrong from gambling, the gambler must be immediately stopped from gambling. Probably fine for you when no shame in gambling, but watch your parents, do not embarrass them because you're a gambler.
Congratulations for reaching your 100th post in this topic *100th shit post.

3056  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam report on user Jagrapolite5 on: January 05, 2017, 05:27:21 AM
An address posted while the account was temporary under control of an hacker is not an alt account proof
Shouldn't we leave it up to the OP for explaining the situation? As far as the reference feedback is concerned,it doesn't prove much.Only words without solid evidences.I'll buy that it come from the OP.

Its 50 bucks. Suck it up crybaby!
Who are you now ? Another ALT of the scammer ? Undecided
3057  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Auto Wallet top up/exchange buy software? on: January 05, 2017, 05:09:18 AM
I've seen one site so far which offers the ability to watch a wallet, and tie into your api of your exchange,
You sell one BTC it uses your exchange Fiat balance to buy 1 btc. etc.
Well, too many confusions right here. You mean you have a watch only wallet on a third party site ? Dissolves the point of a "watch only wallet".Why not just keep the balance in your trading account instead ? Sorry I'm having troubles to understand the second part."Exchange Fiat Balance" ? How can you have fiat on an exchange?  Roll Eyes

Is anyone else working on this? the cost was pretty high for what to me seems like a pretty straight forward script/setup.
Not as straight forward as it seems.

Yes i understand server space/security/etc...
Doesn't stop there,..Escrow,2FA,automation and it goes on..I could give you clarifications if you elaborate .
3058  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Price Widget on: January 05, 2017, 04:57:30 AM
--snipe
Practically, you did not make anything. You ripped off the code off an API from an API.Why would I use your widget if I can access preev.com from my mobile and the browser ? Nice attempt on coding forefront but nothing worth the practical usage.

Does anyone know of a ticker which allows to adjust a rate/add a fee/% to the ticker?
LocalBitcoins has it.Not sure if you can call the API though.Simple fix : Take Op's code, add some math with an input box.Shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.Let me do that for you if you can't code.
3059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a successful Trade? on: December 31, 2016, 11:02:48 AM
Well generally experience is indeed a good factor to consider when trading, but we have to also consider that even the most experienced trader loses and goes bankrupt too. I think it's all about balancing your trades and risks involved in each trade. It's not just about buying low and selling high people must really study what they are doing to truly be successful in trading.
Or taking a logical/mathematical approach, automating it,would save you some time and lot of money.People at the higher level of hierarchy usually build and study models to be on the safer side.Check out :Decision Making trees if you are really interested in knowing how they work.
