Leverkusen were pretty solid against Freiburg away today despite not being the favourite side. They had many more opportunities to score but they were able to score only once. They were already experiencing a bad period of time in the league recently and nothing changed by this game as well. They are really in need of a victory to keep their motivation higher than this.

Leverkusen have a good potential to do better than this in the remaining time period of the season. Xabi Alonso should be able to find the way out again just as he did before.

Arsenal are going to play their missing game in a couple of days. Their opponent is going to be Everton this time and I would like to remind you that they lost to Everton away before.

It was a really unexpected loss for sure but I don't expect such thing to happen this time. Arsenal have started another winning streak again after a bad form. This game is going to be played in Emirates and I expect a clean victory by Arsenal. These games are important for the championship. This is extra important because Arsenal can have a safe gap of 5 points with Manchester City in the standings. There is no reason and hindrance for them not to do so.

Inter might be likely to lose some important players in the summer. These players are speculated as Brozovic and Barella. There are some big teams reported to be after these players. Especially Barella's cost might be really high. He is linked with Liverpool and he might cost around 70 million euros to them. Actually this isn't an incredible amount for today's football.

As Liverpool are also a rich team they wouldn't refrain from offering this amount for him. Liverpool are just trying to do whatever they can to make this team strong again.

Atalanta have started to be quite inconsistent again and this caused them to be a little away from top four. It looks like this season can be a similar one to the previous season for them. Actually they have a really good potential for qualifying for the Champions League. But they just can't use this in an effective way. Their squad quality is quite decent normally.

There are four teams ahead that have the same goal now. Therefore it will be really difficult for Atalanta to be successful in this. But there are still more than 10 weeks left. They just need to start a good form immediately.

Bayern Munich are still too powerful of course. Their huge win over Union Berlin is a proof for that as well. The score wasn't that huge maybe but the domination was really like that.

I'm curious about their game against Dortmund in Allianz Arena as well. Dortmund have been in great shape for so many weeks you know. They look really unstoppable however Bayern Munich could be the only team to stop them these days. I don't feel like Dortmund can get any point from them there. Of course it depends on how much Bayern Munich players will be focused on that game. But they would care about that game the most among all the league games. It is important for the title race eventually.

Barcelona got a very unexpected result indeed. Their shots were too weak that gave Almeria a chance to steal at least one point from them. And they even won the game somehow. I wonder what the reason behind this loss was. I don't think the loss in the Europa League made an impact. Because they play different in these tournaments. Maybe it was due to being a little complacent because of the big gap with Real Madrid in the standings.

By the way Sevilla were also bad today. They equalized the score two times but still lost by 2-3. Actually they had many more goal attempts but Osasuna were just better at using them.

Messias has been playing an important role for Milan for two games. They scored the winning goal against Monza first and after that he scored the goal to relieve his team against Atalanta. I really missed to see Milan performing this much effectively honestly. They were very dominant against Atalanta during the whole game. Atalanta didn't have much to do against them with only 3 shots in total.

Milan have the same points with Inter now. We might watch a pretty nice competition between them for the 2nd spot from now on. Milan seem stronger from now on.

Leipzig aren't a small team indeed but I still don't see their chance much high against Manchester City honestly.

Manchester City are very highly favoured on paper obviously. The first leg was pretty surprising indeed. Who could have thought that Manchester City would play like that. There were two different teams in both halves. I think Guardiola will prepare his players very well for the rematch. I don't think Leipzig can find many goal opportunities this time. I expect a total domination by Manchester City and a decent win in Etihad.

Sevilla - Osasuna is a game to be played tomorrow. Sevilla are advantageous due to playing a home game but I don't expect a very comfortable win either. Because Osasuna are technically have a higher placement than them now. But Sevilla need to keep winning as many games as possible to get away from the relegation zone. Because there is only a gap of three points with the zone now.

Maybe it could be by a small gap but I expect to see Sevilla getting the win. They have eliminated PSV in the Europa League new and this can also be a motivation source here.

Manchester City might even be the only English team left in the Champions League after the rematches. I'm already seeing Liverpool out of here of course. I don't feel positive about Chelsea either. Tottenham actually have a chance if they play a little better home. 1-0 is not a score that is very difficult to make a comeback from against a team like Milan. Milan aren't as strong as they were many weeks before.

Most probably Manchester City would progress the most here as as an English team. But I have doubts about them to win the title as well for now.

Liverpool are just wasting all their chances in all the tournaments they compete in. In this way they are going to finish the season without a proper success. Finishing a season without titles is very bad for a team like Liverpool. Klopp will continue to be criticized harshly for that. As they are about to be eliminated in the Champions League as well he might be in trouble too maybe.

Klopp deserves to be given more chances maybe due to his great history with the team so far. But this is really too much for them.

Dortmund didn't play exactly as I waited for but they still got three points at the end of the day. They just didn't play the same in both halves. The decrease in their performance level in the second half could have caused them to make a point loss as well. Hoffenheim were really too bad that they wasted an opportunity like this as well. They are really one of the likely teams to relegate from the league.

Now Dortmund are really the leader. After all those weeks with victories they finally made it to top. But it depends on Bayern Munich tomorrow indeed.

It was another comfortable game for Napoli. Even though they got a red card it still didn't affect them in a bad way. Because Empoli already lost hope after the score became 2-0 in the first half already. They couldn't play impressively in the remaining time after the red card. Napoli wouldn't just lost their advantage that easy anyway. This was a well-deserved victory for the leader.

They are just counting the days to announce their title slowly. If their closest opponents in the standings make more mistakes they will really announce it quite early.

It was really interesting to see Real Madrid struggling in this game. I also expected them to be victorious but they failed hard. They deserved this result as well because they weren't very impressive in the attacking line. There is no explanation for Atletico Madrid's nearly winning the game with one less players on the field. It looks like Real Madrid have given up on the La Liga title quite early.

Of course if they make it to the Champions League title it would still be great for them. But they need to keep doing their best in the La Liga as well to still have their mathematical chance at least.

Lens still maintain a really bad form in the league. This time they lost two points against Montpellier despite their being the first side to get ahead. These bad results caused them to lose two points in the standings. I was expecting them to drop from the championship race early actually. And now it is really happening. I know that the point gap is 7 with PSG but it isn't realistic for them to keep up with them anymore in my opinion.

Lens should just improve their performance not to drop from the race for top 3 as well. Otherwise they will waste their chance for the Champions League too.

Gakpo again played as a striker I don't know why. He is a left winger normally as you know. While you have Firmino and Nunez for the centre-forward position why would you choose Gakpo instead?

Gakpo could have played in Jota's place and we could have seen one of the duo I mentioned on the front. This way Liverpool could have been more effective about benefiting from their goal chances. They had only a couple of shots on target and none of them ended up with a goal. At least they didn't lose of course. But they should have been able to win this while there was a really bad performing Crystal Palace against them.

I was thinking about the possibility of Messi to return to his oldest team which was Newell's Old Boys. And now I see some rumours on the news like he might even make a decision in that way.

However I don't expect him to leave Europe so soon. I think he will continue with PSG or Barcelona next season. He would prioritize Barcelona of course. I have been hearing positive things from Barcelona side about this recently as well. Who knows maybe this time Barcelona will allocate funds for bringing him back to the team. Xavi is also eager to see him there again.

The second red card was a huge opportunity for Betis to take the win and they really did it. But Elche really gave away the victory to them here. After getting 2-0 ahead they were pretty bad at securing the advantage until the end. They were good at it against Villarreal home for example. But I understand them as well of course.

In the end Elche have only one win so far and they are at the last position too. It isn't ever easy for them to get a win in this kind of tough games.

There is a Crystal Palace game for Liverpool tomorrow. There is no easy game for Liverpool this season. This is one of those games as well in my opinion.

Crystal Palace can be quite dangerous against big teams. Liverpool are really vulnerable these days in defense especially. Crystal Palace would like to do their best in this home game for them. Liverpool might have difficulties in concentrating fully on the game maybe but they have to. They need to focus on the league from now on to do their best. In the end they are very close to be eliminated in the Champions League as well. I hope Liverpool will manage to win here somehow.

I think Torino can make big difficulties for Juventus in Turin. There is only one point between these teams. I know that it is due to the punishment Juventus have been given. But still Torino aren't a weak team in the league. They are a team that have a big potential to make things harder for big teams of the league. They eliminated Milan in the Coppa Italia as well for example.

Juventus need to be as effective as possible at scoring. Playing like in the Nantes game would be a big help for them as well. In that way they can secure a decent win.
