By the way next week there is a Milan - Atalanta game. This is one of the important teams for top four for both teams surely.

Their last meet ended up with a 1-1 draw. And now Milan are not better than their look at the beginning of the season now. But they started to improve their form so this should be motivating them against Atalanta in San Siro. In addition to that they got a win against Tottenham in the Champions League as well. These all should be a big help for Milan to play as solid as possible. I think Atalanta will also score a goal by benefiting from their weaknesses in defense. But still I believe in Milan to win this game.

Barcelona are still unstoppable against weaker teams. Cadiz couldn't resist them too much just as everyone expected. Xavi's system is just working smoothly in the La Liga and it is obviously enough for the championship as well. However I won't be saying the same thing for the tournaments like the Champions League, Europa League etc..

In these tournaments they have got very bad results in general so far. They are really struggling to beat big teams in such tournaments now. Xavi still can't find out a solution for this.

Gvardiol seems determined about playing in the English Premier League according to some speculations. You know that Chelsea got really close to signing him not a long time ago. I don't know if it would be Chelsea for him again but I think one of the strong EPL teams would be in line to sign a very skilled centre-back like him in the summer. He is so young for a centre-back so a long-term contract with him would be very profitable.

Chelsea are actually trying to buy everyone these days so maybe they can go for Gvardiol once again. 

There is a really big drop in Leverkusen's form again really. They started to lose many points in the Bundesliga and this reflected on their Europa League game against Monaco as well.

And this time they lost to Mainz by 3-2 in a home game. There were a red card and a penalty missed by Tapsoba. The reason of this loss was bad defending indeed. Xabi Alonso actually had a good run first but things started to be upside down again. But at least they are still in a safe distance with the relegation zone now. However this doesn't mean they can be very relieved. They should do their best to get away as much as possible.

There is a really good race among a few teams for finishing the season in top four. I think Inter will definitely be one of the members in this area together with Napoli. When it comes to the last two members I'm going with Roma and Milan. Roma are already doing a good job now and this season is a big opportunity for them to benefit from with this general performance level.

When it comes to Milan their recent performance has been quite inconsistent. This has just caused them to lose some positions in the standings as well. But I still hope to see them recovering and consolidating their presence in top four.

I really liked the way PSG's still coming back after the score was 2-3. The attacking trio are just unstoppable in the league. They showed their strength very clearly in this game against Lille as well.

But this defensive effort is really alarming. Galtier needs to do something about it. It affected their performance in the Champions League as well. If they can't figure it out then Galtier might not stay long here. Honestly I was believing that PSG should have signed a much better and successful manager instead. It looks like this will happen in case they decide to sack Galtier later on.

Liverpool - Real Madrid is one of the most waited games of course. Liverpool are the favourite side but the odd gap is not too big as well. As the game is in Anfield Liverpool have a good advantage really. But I still can't be sure of anything about this game. Because Liverpool still need to prove themselves more to gain people's trust again. Their recent resuls started to satisfy people though.

But we will see how this will reflect on the Champions League. Real Madrid are one of the most difficult opponents for them here. They have a really bad history against them as well. I think Liverpool can get a draw in the worst case.

It was a tougher game than I expected for Roma. But they still managed to secure the 1-0 win over Verona home. I can't say they didn't let Verona come much because they did. But Verona were really bad at finding the target so there wasn't a serious problem anyway. After the draw against Lecce they really needed this not to lose their position to Milan. They have the same points though.

There will be a really tough challenge for finishing the season in top four surely. Mourinho had better choose his strategies wisely in the remaining games to be in profit. This is a big chance for Roma to do this.

Arsenal shouldn't risk their championship chance anymore by making simple point losses from now on.

Of course the Premier League is challenging but they should be able to beat smaller teams as much as possible at this level. We are slowly getting close to the end of the season now. Simple mistakes can cause big problems for them. Manchester City are still the strongest team on paper so they would always be ready to take advantage of a chance. Arsenal should win their missing game as well to get more advantageous. I guess they can do it against Everton this time in Emirates.

Dortmund continue to destroy every obstacle they have against themselves these days. This time they did it against Hertha Berlin by a solid 4-1 result.

It was the expected thing from them to do of course. They can be considered as the most profitable team at top positions on this week. Because Bayern Munich and Union Berlin both lost points at the same time. The championship race is getting more heated every week. Bayern Munich's being out-of-form in the league helps especially Dortmund and Union Berlin for the leadership race. But let's see how much this will go like it.

Athletic Bilbao played worse than I thought and this made things easier for Atletico Madrid. However Atletico Madrid still found the winning goal quite late in the game. And it was really risky to keep a 1-0 score to the end for them but they did it anyway. Athletic Bilbao's main problem was with finding the target as there were only two shots on target in the whole game.

This was an important win for them to keep their advantage of four points against Betis in the standings. There is a really tough fight between these teams for being the last member of top four for now.

There was no mistake by Juventus again this time against Spezia. But the win wasn't very easy actually because Spezia also found so many opportunities for scoring. The gap with the 6th position in the standings is still nine points for Juventus though. It will be very difficult for Juventus to catch up with the position even though there are still fifteen weeks to go.

I know Atalanta surprised everyone and lost to Lecce home today. But I don't think they will be too inconsistent to create a big chance for Juventus.

Newcastle have found themselves out of top four by this week. Because Tottenham won their game against West Ham while they were losing to Liverpool on one hand.

But the gap with Tottenham is still only one point. Newcastle need to improve this performance level as soon as possible. I know that they have done much more than the expected level from them already. However if they manage to qualify for the Champions League somehow then their hand will be much stronger for signing bigger players in the summer. Otherwise such players would think twice before signing for them.

It was definitely a hard-fought win for Real Madrid despite the final score's being 2-0.

The statistics are also proving this clearly even if you check them only. Osasuna were able to play comfortably against Real Madrid in this game. There wasn't a big gap between the number of passes and total shots as well. Besides ball possession percentages were also very close. Real Madrid's first goal even came while we were about to enter last ten minutes. Benzema was injured again. Maybe they might have broken the deadlock easier in his presence. But the important point is that they didn't make any mistake here.

Lukaku finally put an end to his longing for scoring a goal in the Serie A. He wasn't able to score any goal in the league since August 2022. But finally he scored against Udinese today which was by a penalty. It doesn't matter how he scored honestly. Because it should be giving him some confidence from now on which is the most important point.

If he manages to prove himself to the team again then he can get right back in the starting eleven. But until then a really tough competition is waiting for him. Congrats to Inter on the 3-1 win as well.

The win over AZ Alkmaar was really important for Feyenoord at the same time. Because in this way they have opened the gap with their closest opponent in the standings by three points.

And I must admit that Feyenoord's performance was marvelous. I mean that they weren't good in only offense. Their defensive performance was also amazing because AZ Alkmaar had only 2 goal attempts and 0 shot on target in the whole game. This was like a disaster for them and this is a game that they would like to forget about quickly. Ajax can still keep a three-point distance with them though if they win against Sparta Rotterdam tomorrow.

Manchester United are going to have a home game against Leicester tomorrow. I see a decent win for the Red Devils at the end despite their not being able to beat Leicester in Old Trafford in their last two meets. This season things are going on really good for the Red Devils. Erik ten Hag has improved his chemistry with the team a lot and they are even in the title race technically.

They need to keep winning to be able to maintain the same point gap with Arsenal at least. Leicester have a really good morale after the huge 4-1 win over Tottenham. But I think they won't be able to steal any point from Manchester United here.

Despite the red card I believe Bayern Munich showed a really good performance. They lost by only one goal at the end. Maybe they could have even won here if it weren't for that. At least they could have got one point. I don't see this kind of a scenario for Bayern Munich very often so it surprised me. Because they are a really disciplined team as we all know.

This loss will make the title race more fired up as a result. I assume Union Berlin and Dortmund both would get wins as they have comfortable games ahead.

Milan got what they wanted from the Monza game by a decent effort. Now they are going to hope for at least one of Atalanta - Roma duo to lose points.

However both of them have comfortable fixtures ahead actually. Atalanta shouldn't have big difficulties against Lecce home. They newly beat Lazio away by 2-0 as you remember. This big win should give their morale a big boost before the Lecce game. When it comes to Roma they also have a home game which is against Verona. Verona are even a worse team than Lecce now and Roma are in a good shape these days. Roma lost two points against Lecce previously so they had better atone for it by getting a win here.

Real Sociedad were interestingly quite inadequate with their performance against Celta Vigo. This game should have ended up with a victory for them normally. Even the red card came in the second half didn't help Real Sociedad even secure a 1-0 win. Instead they conceded an equalizer and lost two points against a team with a red card.

I know that there is a good improvement in Celta Vigo's form recently but still this mustn't be an excuse for Real Sociedad. If they are really determined about securing a place in top 4 to the end of the season they need to win this kind of games.
