3101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Throwing my towel. Cant wait 5 years to the moon on: October 16, 2014, 03:32:37 PM
Jk i wait till december 2014
I cant dwell my savings there and wait years till it hets to the moon
Honestly, neil armstrong wouldve got to the moon faster himself

Try buying smaller ($100 or so) at a time every couple weeks/month.  Putting one lump sum in will make it harder to hold and wont cost average

This is what I do.

You should have no burden finacially if BTC goes to zero or you are doing it wrong.
3102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / United way & Bitcoin on: October 16, 2014, 02:34:41 PM
So I donated to United way Via BTC.  My work can get credit for this for our total donations for the year.

I have the trans ID alas United Way does not tie their name to their pay address.. does anyone know if they keep a history of these transactions..?

Food... one should always "invest" in food.
3105  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 02:03:18 PM
Self interest.

Ever been to a place without a functioning government? Your only missing out on the freedom of dying of a toothache at 30. Freeeedooooom!! Roll Eyes

sure, because only the government can heal a toothache.
let me tell you a secret, the doctor who takes care of you does not work for the government, in fact he wouldn't have to charge as much money if he didn't have to pay the free loader bureaucrats in the government their protection money.

I have spent a lot of time in the most impoverished places in the world. There are no dentists or doctors. Why? because there is only the strong and the weak. Any attempt to be a doctor would just get you kidnapped and held treating soldiers. I mean, why should I not keep a slave doctor?

If you lived in such a place you could not afford a dentist anyway. You would spend your time doing whatever the local warlord says you will do. No choices, no opportunity, just a lifetime of fear and poverty. That's what it's like, and I never met a person in a place like that who liked it.

It is views like this as to why big gov runs our slave lives.
People believe some how having a gov makes your country super rich and not having one makes it shitty ghetto place..
As I said people are super lazy and love not haivng to do anything and being told what do do... look at this guy..  Most people love being a slave.
3106  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: October 16, 2014, 01:09:50 PM
the only reason this works is because the citizens are unorganized and unarmed.
if people gather in groups of tens of people to protect each other against the government there is no way they could throw anyone in jail.

This.

You have to remeber 999/1000 people LOVE, LOVE LOVE being slaves and being told what to do.. LOVE it.  They would do anything the gov tells them to and go on about how amazing it is.  Being a slave is easy and simple being free is hard work, many people are lazy and love being slaves and not having to think or defend themselves.
3107  Economy / Speculation / Re: These instant changes in price... on: October 16, 2014, 01:05:44 PM
Let's hope the community doesn't allow him to double up anything... That's all we can do for now really...

At least he will need to start using higher volumes than the 1500 btc every few hours to start a panic this time it seems. They are absorbed quite nicely.

But as we've seen before he just plays around with over 30k BTC as if it's nothing, makes me think he has quite a lot more even.

This is my thinking as well.. I think this guy/gal/group has well over 300k BTC.. probably over 250 Mill in Fiat.  Making manipulating this market almost no risk and very easy.
3108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and mexico on: October 16, 2014, 12:31:33 PM

Could potentially make a stop there... any more?
3109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and mexico on: October 16, 2014, 12:27:02 PM
I am going to cancun in Nov and was wondering if there were many services setup to accept bitcoin in that area.
3110  Economy / Speculation / These instant changes in price... on: October 16, 2014, 12:26:14 PM
There has to be mad manipulation in this market..  the constant massive instant swings in the price of BTC would lead me to no other answer.

The "bearwhale" I fear was just a tatic to fuel enthusiasm in the community to allow someone to sell coins at @400.  IMO there will be a massive push down wards perhaps to fallin's target of $200 then another massive rise to $3-400 on some news that will make you want to buy and hold this allowing this person to double up again..

I still cannot see the ability to suppress the market forever but I believe it could be a LONG.. long time before we see any 4 digit coins again.

Anyone else think someone is attempting to mess up the market to get as many coins and as much fiat as they can?
3111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Limit of 7 transactions per second.... on: October 16, 2014, 12:08:09 AM
:S This sounds like it could be a massive show stopper.
3112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘You can play with you bitcoins, but you can’t pay with them’: Russia... on: October 15, 2014, 08:09:42 PM
This was expected, but how do they know if you pay with bitcoin?
I mean, you obviously won't be able to use it in shops, but how about internet transactions,or particular transactions?

I was expecting a full out 100% ban..

Banking Elite Meet in Washington To Discuss Bitcoin Threat
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/banking-elite-meet-washington-discuss-bitcoin-threat/

Couldn't the elite bankers simply buy the entire network and take over bitcoin?  Aren't they so wealthy that they own the whole world?

...............................................

Okay now I know your a shill.
3114  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY NOW! on: October 15, 2014, 04:43:26 PM
Buying and holding is a good strategy at any time.  Smiley

Tell that to the people who bought at $1200. At this time that doesn't exactly appear like it was a good strategy ya know what I'm sayin'?
3115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearwhale, again on: October 15, 2014, 04:42:26 PM
An IPO you idiots funded with millions in wealth knowing all of those funds would be dumped onto the market at one point...

3117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethererum is dead in the water. on: October 15, 2014, 03:59:42 PM
Should be a lesson.. build on the Bitcoin block chain or face failure.

So the "bearwhale" was Ethererum?
3118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google: cost of an ounce of gold on: October 15, 2014, 03:57:47 PM
Oooh I remeber begging my parents to allow me to invest $200 into google when they went public...  Alas "I had no idea what I was talking about, google isn't real and won't be worth anything"......................
In the future, Google will dominate the world.  Tongue
I thought the currencies stopped being backed by gold at some point.

Since 1912 in reality, but 1971 in our imaginary world of retardedness.

Once a private entity has complete control over your monetary policies and cannot be audited they start loaning out fractionally..  Our sell out leaders sold us out and made laws allowing them to loan money out fractionally and force us to bail them out when it all collapses..

This is why 99.999% of the entire planets population are debt slaves.
